Hey friend. I'm Sam. My husband Dan and I have two kids, Canyon and Ember. We felt a call in 2018 to pursue surrogacy and here we are in our second journey. Our first journey ended because our intended parents got pregnant naturally. We prefer to live tiny and are intentional in all we do. We love to travel, spend time together as a family, and adventure any chance we get. We hope to encourage and inspire you with all me do. Thanks for being here!

Hey guys and welcome back to my channel, if you don't remember, i got halo hair extensions a couple months ago, and i wanted to do a little recap on how it's going. I got them without telling my husband kind of surprised him with it. It was very fun you can check it out here, but i want to show you a few hairstyles that you've used what products i use on them and how i'm liking them. Okay, a few questions i want to answer up front. Why get halo extensions for me? I wanted a little bit more length, um and fullness in mine, so i got a 20 inch halo extension which i'll show you that later, but i just wanted a little bit more length. My hair grows really fast, but something quick and just something fun to change things up. I also um you can't really tell, but my hair is differently so on here it's shorter than over here, which i'm gon na, get it all evened out, just to make it easier when i'm doing my hair, but i just wanted all over longer length and some People get it for fullness, they have short thin hair and they just want um more full, thick luscious, the voluptious hair voluminous voluptuous. Whatever the word is, they want more volume to their hair, and so there are so many options on the website. They have some that are just a straight color or they have some with highlights low lights balayage. They have like all different types, so you can check out their website i'll put it the link down in the description um, but whatever you're looking for whether it's curly straight, they have it and it's real hair. Another question i get asked is where to buy them, where to get it so per the halo couture website. They have a spot where you can search for a stylist who has been trained on doing the halo installments, showing you how to wear them, how to put them on, take them off and how to care for them. And so you have to find a stylist in your area, so i got mine from lauren. She is local to us and she gave me this cute little hanger, so it comes with a fishing wire attached to it and it's almost like a little bra hook there and they give you an extra fishing line. Just in case, i call it fishing line whatever um, just in case this one breaks, but you have a little adjustment there. So there's a couple spots where, if this is too long or too short, you can kind of adjust it, but then, whenever you're styling the hair, you just clip it up on a hanger so that it always flat and it's easier to curl straighten brush comb whatever. So i brushed this out last time. I wore it um. Whenever you take it off, it can get a little frizzy, but the curls have stayed pretty good i'll put a couple more curls in, but i probably wear it for a full month before i brush it out and do anything to it. I haven't washed it yet, but i'll show you some of the products that i use. You want to use salt, sulfate free products and then use a good oil on it, but look how cute it looks. Okay, so product y is what i use. I currently use the l'oreal ever pure, so this is sulfate free um and in the research that i've done. This is the best product for the best value um. I looked into monet products, they were just super expensive and the halo extension was already like 5.75. So i was not about to drop another couple hundred dollars on product um, so be wise, get what you can with what the money that you have um just make sure that it's sulfate free, and so this is stuff that i use on my own hair. This is color caring spray blow dry primer, but the shampoo and conditioner anything that is the sulfate free from l'oreal i've gotten they have one. That'S like a bonding one or let me show you so this one. I use bond strengthening um and their moisture um, and so you can wash the halo because it is real hair um, like i said, i've, yet to wash it. I think i've had it two or three months, but i only wear it like once a week um. Whenever i'm usually creating content or we're going out to dinner or going to wedding or going to church um just for like more special occasions type of stuff and then to keep it hydrated and i don't know, shiny and less frizzy. My friend gifted me, the monet rejuvenique oil, which is really good for it, and so i just put a couple drops in my palm and then run it down the hair. Just like i would my own hair. Whenever you get your extensions, it comes with a little comb um and then, whenever you put it on, i go about two fingers back and then i just go around my head, which i have it pretty much. I know where it lays now from putting it on. So many times, but i do one side clip it up, so it doesn't fall and then i do the other side you're, basically just creating a path for the extension to lay down in and be covered up, okay and then once it's clipped up. I make sure these line up as much as possible lay my hair all flat grab the extension, and then you want to start by putting it right on that line there and it's okay. If it's not perfect yet and then, as you lay it down, i just pull all my other hair up. It lays flat, i could even comb more of this up, but it'll still be good, pull all this hair up and then pull it down on either side. Make sure that it's adjusted so the hairs here you can have it in front of your ear behind your ear and you just kind of adjust with the string. Look, how much length that gave crazy right. Then i unclip it and you'll notice the root here or the yeah my roots here, it's not like it looks weird because you can see it so you basically just comb it out to each side now with dark hair, it can be a little bit more noticeable. So i'll show you my trick, so you just comb it a few times you can comb it forward, comb it back just to get those loose hairs from underneath the line brushed out and then, when i'm looking at you straight, you can't tell. But whenever you look i've bent down, you can because of the like impression in my scalp and my scalp is like really white, so my trick is root spray, which i can't oh yeah here it is so i did get there ever pure root spray, and i Just spray, my roots, there you go, it looks white, let it dry a little bit, fluff it up. Um. If you end up losing this, you can still use a different comb. It'S the same works. The same takes a while for the white little powder to go away, but then you have fullness and curly hair. So again i am loving it. I love wearing it to church or date nights or just creating content makes me feel a little bit more like. I don't know bougie um, i'm gon na, do my makeup and finish getting myself ready for today, but hope this helps. If you are interested in halo extensions um, if you don't already, you can follow us at tik. Tok instagram youtube all social media platforms that we are dan and sam. If you want to see more of what's going in life, you can click the subscribe button and bell notification to stick around okay. I wanted to show you the root spray, so because i put the root spray there, you can't see the line as much. You still see a little divot like a shadow, but looking at it. If i've been down, you don't see that line of the indention of the halo, so huge tip is use some root spray. Okay, so i did a full day of content creation with my halo in um. This is how it looks it's about 5 30 and i have no pain from this being here. Whenever i touch it, i can feel a little bit um, but it's not heavy. I did purchase a couple clips that i'm going to put on the back just to help secure it, but i've moved around i've danced i've done some cleaning cooking and i mean it still looks wonderful. So i'm going to show you how i take it off. It'S really simple, i just put it all behind my shoulders or one of them. At least i dig my fingernail into where the line is, and i just kind of run it along it, get it out of that groove loosen it up, and then i just pull it back, and that is it. So you can hang it up on the hanger or lay it in the box right away. I keep the box just so i have a flat place to store it, but you can hang it up comb it out, brush it out and it'll be good as new and ready for next time. You want to wear it. Okay, so here are the little clips that i ordered they snap and i'm gon na put them probably like two at the top or maybe four across the top, i'm not sure, depending on how to lay, but i ordered four of them: um i'll, put the link Down in the description - and these were just off amazon for a couple - bucks and color wise - i think i said it earlier in the video, but i have a 1b. This is the darkest brown right before black, so my hair is really really really dark, but it's not black, and this matches perfectly

Katrina Owens: Do not spend your money on Monat products! There are so many horror stories but I also experienced a bad reaction to it (I’m not allergic to anything…but my entire scalp had an allergic reaction!). Their shampoo and conditioner I would never recommend.
