Hey guys welcome back to my channel today, I'm gon na be showing you how I touch up my roots, I'm gon na be showing you all of the products that I use to do so so, if you guys are here because you want to know how to Retouch your root area, then you are in the right place, so I'm just going to start because I, when the interests are too long, so one thing that I really recommend you guys, if you are doing this by yourself always work with sections for quadrants is the Best, I would say amount of sections that you can work with, and this is really going to make sure you don't miss any areas, so you're gon na have a nice even coat by the way, I forgot to mention something very important um. If you're going to bleach your root area, I totally recommend you guys to not wash your hair for four days. Before doing so, I know it's disgusting um. I usually wash my hair every second day. So four days is a lot for me. My roots are looking greasy and disgusting, but this is really going to protect my scalp all that oil build-up is going to kind of like act as a layer, a protective layer so that my scalp doesn't get too dry and then starts flaking. So I totally recommend you guys not washing your hair, so I'm just gon na section, my hair, like so I have a mirror. I have two mirrors. Actually I have this one right here. I have another mirror mirror here, so I can see what I'm doing cuz. That'S the most challenging part is the back area, so another tip guys that I mentioned. If you have curly hair, I highly suggest to straighten your hair the day the day you wash your hair so four days before dyeing your hair, I highly suggest for you to straighten it just because sometimes curly hair is really hard to manage. So I have curly hair and I did straighten it for this specifically, so I totally recommend you guys doing so. I guess so now that everything is ready to go I've section my hair and now I can mix my little concoction. So I'm going to bleach my root turn, I'm going to be using the matrix and volume the developer and the iron collar brilliant powder. Lighter this one right here. I would totally recommend the redken one. I will insert a picture in a link in the description box. I love that one. I don't have it with me, unfortunately, so I have to use this for now, but if your hair is really stubborn and it's really hard to lift your hair, go with that bleach guys, it is a miracle like I said, all the get down below for you Guys it's more prep its pricier than this one. I got this from Sally's, but it's totally worth it and it's a big container, so it lasts you for a while, so I've. Never! I never used to bleach my hair. I always used to go directly with my hair dye, which is, I always use a level 8. So I've applied this and then do my highlights and because I went directly with my hair dye on the route, I would always pick the 8 ash blonde and the 8 violet, I believe, color. So I used to mix at 8, 8 and 8. The because I see violet colors just remove like brassiness, but I was never really happy with that. I always thought that I had a lot a lot of worms on my route and even if, even after, even after toning, my hair, so I stumbled upon this trick, which it was a little scary after mid and I actually followed El bangs hair dye, video she's. A youtuber she's, a professional hairstylist she's, a blonde specialist and I literally followed her teen and she starts by bleaching her roots, and this is a game changer. I love how my root color. Is it's really it's Ashley, there's, no there's, not warmth on my route and that's what I really wanted. So I really recommend you guys doing so and because I apply bleach to my hair, I choose. I went from in 8 a V 2 and 8 and and so never go with an ashy, Oh violet, color on bleach over bleach. You always want to go with warm or neutral. I'M just gon na mix my concoction here I have a big root, so I'm gon na maybe do two bits of this. This is one scoop I'm gon na go in with my ten volume developer. This is going to be subtle, so it's not going to irritate my scalp too much and I don't honestly just do it by eye. So this is the mix, as you can see, it's not as runny. So I'm going to start with the back, I'm gon na start with the perimeter. First make sure you saturate guys. Okay, make sure you have enough product to really coat every single area. Okay, sometimes we don't use enough bleach and therefore we get orange hair and there's one thing that I've learned you guys doing my hair by myself for a few years now you remove brassiness with bleach, okay, not with toner you. I guess why I am a Donnell with the back right now. Everything is nicely saturated, I'm happy all right somewhere into my front area. So once again, I start with the front all right guys. I have to use my viewfinder because so again I like to apply a nice even coat to area like so take it closer, go all the way I'm gon na go down here, because last time I missed a spot. So I start with the perimeter of my face. First, I'm gon na do this. I think I'll have to send my boyfriend to the to Sally's, which is not that far think you couldn't be happy about that. So, as I think this year to do this area here on the other side right and once that's done - we have to go right here, make sure you come this guy's just to fan everything out. Otherwise you might miss a spot and you don't want that. Don'T touch your face with the bleach, you guys, I don't know, I always do it. I know it. I into all the hairdresser's. The hair stylists are watching my videos screaming sorry about that. You guys, I thought I'd know. Oh Lord, the volume of mine. This is like the easiest section to do very easy guys. I don't know why that I always like to come here, just sighs you can mentioned. I know I'm I'm not supposed to go too low. You guys, but I feel like sometimes I miss a few spots and I hate it when that happens. Okay, so guys I am done bleaching, my hair, I'm gon na leave it for about half an hour um. It looks terrible right now. It looks terrible right now and scary, but I promise it's not that crazy, so I'm gon na leave it at that. I'M gon na wash up and then I am going to apply my hair dye hi guys, I'm back after bleaching, my hair with the tan volume developer. This is how it looks like this is how the back looks like so I left it for about. I would say 40 minutes, I should have left a 430, but I left it for 40, but it's okay. So now I'm going to go to step two. So this is when I'm going to apply my root color. This is the shade I mean this is in the color, 8 and N, and this is the cover fusion hair dye, basically from Red King this one right here, I don't know if they changed the packaging because they used the it used to be white. I hope I have the correct one. Oh, these usually are one part color, one part developer one and a half ounce of the ten volume developer. So I'm using a 10 volume developer with this, because I don't want it to lift my hair. I just want the color to be deposited lady, so here we go you okay, so I did the back and it's looking pretty dark, which is normal. So now, I'm gon na do the front real, quick and just show you how I do the front. Basically, it's the same method as I applied my bleach and it's looking pretty dark, and some of you might ask: why do I bleach my roots if I'm going with a darker color, there's one tip? Actually, that I should mention is that the hair dye, when it's in on your head, looks a lot darker than what it is. So if you're a play like an Ashley color on your root after bleaching - and it looks super dark, dark, don't get afraid or anything because it always looks more intense when it's on your head. So it's not gon na, be this dark. When I'm going to let it go when I'm going it wash it off alright guys, so I am done with the route. I am going to leave that on for about half an hour, maybe about maybe 40 minutes, because I really want that hair color deposited on that orangie, though my route, which was very orange, alright, so be right back alright guys. So this is what the 8 and and hair dye by red can looks like on my route. After applying it, as you can see, it's a beautiful as she color and bleaching. My route first really makes a difference. Like I mentioned earlier, when I went directly with my hair dye on my boot, it would turn out very warm and brassy looking. So I know it's scary, especially if you've never done it before it's super scary to bleach your route. But as long as you use a 10 volume developer, it won't damage your hair as much and definitely go with a neutral or a warm color. Do not go with a chic or violent colors on bleached areas, as I mentioned before, so this is what it looks like honestly. I could leave it like this like. I could definitely skip the highlights step, but I really love my highlights to show, and especially if I, if I do a ponytail, you see how dark it is. So I like to I like this area to be highlighted. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to focus on the crown area and on the side, that's my main goal for my highlights today and then I am going to tone alright guys, so that is it for this video make sure to watch part two: Where I'm gon na be explaining how I do my highlights and how I told my hair and all the products that I used to do so make sure you watch that video. Thank you so much for watching everybody and if you have any questions, please write to me in the comment section below take care and I hope to see you in my next video

B C: Hey girl, use the Fenola no yellow and no orange shampoo. It tones it so your hair won’t be orange and yellow❤️ love ur videos!

JennMartn: To all that are commenting that her hair looks patchy,, this is not her final result just showing you how she lifts her root so she can have better results when using a level 8 without too much warmth! She has another video where she highlights and tones for the final look

Diana Nova: Hi Jackie! I also do my roots by myself sometimes, I have a hard time doing the back of my head though. I love how your hair turned out, the Redken CoverFusion color is perfect ! I hope you had a great weekend!

Sew-what: Wow, I was nervous watching this! But I was amazed how well it turned out

Pages And Polish: Hey hun. Great info. Looks fantastic xx

Mike and Mom: Omg this looks amazing, wow! Love!❤️

Thee Tiffany Nicole Gwyn: I love how the color came out!!!

Izzy Meadows: Lovely job, I think a 30 vol would lift your re growth much lighter as your very dark, and 30 Would be fine on new hair and not damaging. Adding olaplex would work a treat too if your nervous.

laura sanderson: I never ever wash my hair for at least 5 days before coloring or bleaching my hair :) good tip !!

Chloe Lenfest: HI there! How come you use a permanent color for the root? Does this make it harder for the highlights to lift?

MM: Loved your video! Can I ask when that root colour grows out do you need to re-bleach over that hair too to match the lighter blonde?

Coren’s Corner Boutique My Paparazzi Journey: Hey girl missed you. Enjoyed watching great job❤️

Andrea Ryan Vaccariello: Hi! nice video. I noticed that the first time when you followed Silvia's steps your roots were much more orangy but in this videos your roots look much ashier even though you followed the same steps and used the same products. Can you tell me what you did differently? thank you!

Adriana Magana: Hi can you bleach your roots twice with a 10 volume developer. I would like to see the results! I think that would give you a nice platinum blonde with little breakage. The 10% volume with bleach gave you like 5-6 levels of lift since you started from a level 1 or 2 so maybe you can lift the level 5-6 to a level 10 or 11. Add a toner and wow that would look amazing on you. I’m looking everywhere to see if someone has a video like that but I haven’t found one.

Sarahkoruya: Aw it looks cute!

I ❤️ NY: Very very nice !!!!!!!!!!! I love it ❤️❤️❤️

Carmen Flores: Interesante tu video ,me encantan tus videos❤️

ffireinthedark: OMG it lifted so much!! are you like a level 2 natural ?

Ashley R: I’m confused how can you use 10 volume with bleach, I was told countless times 10 volume is for depositing color, not lifting, my hair is dark brown and it won’t lift past the brassy stage unless I use a 30 volume . Please tell me how this works

laura sanderson: Elle Bangs videos are good ! Love her

Fee-Bee Rome: your hair look beautiful

stellacp: The roots are WARM, why you say they are not?

Dolce Vita: Where is part 2? Can’t find it. Does the title say part 2?

Alyna Ortiz: You definitely should go in with a 20 developer next time and only leave in for 30 minutes.

Benjie Zolanski: 08:24 that curl was boooosssssedd up those

Lynn O.: Awesome video. Luv u

Karla: No way For ur type of hair u need a 30 vol live it for 40 minutes and a 20 vol with T18 from wella

starlite556: Not trying to be mean but since you are not a professional I don't think that you should be giving advice on how to use chemicals on the hair because someone could be injured by those chemicals. People should be very careful when taking advice from professionals also. One young woman that said she was a professional said that she learned in Beauty College that you can put bleach ( lightner) on the face She was serious.
