Hair Extensions | Great Lengths Usa | Part 2

Okay, it's go day officially here walking in to get my extensions replaced, i'm going to see muddy the best pretty much she's been doing this forever. She is so good, so going in to get my hair done, come check it out. Let'S do this all right! We are walking in to see marie come check. Her salon there. She is. This is the queen herself gon na make me look fab turn around. Let'S show her yours. Oh look at this hair just got mine recently, 20 inches of brush. Oh yeah, it's beautiful! Looking good, how long have you been doing this um since wheels were made, so i started here in the early 80s and i've been doing extensions pretty much ever since so those q and a's that i did a couple days ago, just ignore them we'll do them Over and we'll let her answer them, so i can answer them better. Every answer she's texting me like well, actually it's i'm like yeah. You know what i'll put you to sleep. She'Ll. Do your hair! How about that? I'M gon na have marie show you guys what a five month looks. Gross looks like obviously like it grows out. There'S some natural shedding all the fun stuff, so we're gon na show you up close what it looks like before we take them all out. Hi everybody. Okay, sarah's five-month grow out, as you will notice, her shedded hair doesn't have the ability to fall out, so you see like the little white stuff on there. That is the bond kind of breaking down and um yeah. You didn't wash your hair today. Did you hey easy just to say, but she has a beautiful grow out, she's very healthy, so everyone grows. You know a quarter of an inch to a half an inch a day ignore my nails, they're getting done on saturday, but yeah. Her grow out's extremely healthy, and this is how a set grows out. So next we're going to remove and we'll let you see it then, okay, so all the extensions are out. This is my natural hair. So obviously it looks super healthy feels good. Just a lot shorter, so growing it out they're going to wash it give it a little toner, and then we are going to put a new set in yay. I need to clarify we're not toning, it she's clarifying it because i go in the lake every day and it destroys my colors, but that's the beauty of having hair extensions. You can do whatever you want with it. I go surfing with it. I go hiking with it, i mean you got ta, look beautiful, doing fun, stuff right, guys, okay, guys! This is my natural hair. All the extensions are out super healthy. Obviously, it's greasy she's gon na wash it so now. This is how short my hair is, but it's super healthy and we're going to go into all the details of how the extensions actually affect your natural hair and what it looks like. But this is my hair with no extensions in so we're going to go, wash it and then put my new set in long and fabulous okay, so being in the lake so often and just kind of with my probably well water, my blonde kind of isn't as What would you say like shiny it's getting a little bit brassy in the length of water and so we're just going to take that yellow and orange tone out. So it's more like a white super new blonde yeah, so they're using like a clarifying shampoo to kind of strip, all that which i was told. I should be doing that more often, which i did not know. So if you've got blonde highlights and stuff, you should be using like the clarifying shampoo every so often so anyways yeah i've taken that out and then we will put the extension marie tell us what this sticker means. So great lynx hair is 100 ethically sourced. There is hair extensions that are sourced from let's say prisons, or you know, people who didn't particularly want to cut their hair, so great links always does a great job of being able to track it. It is temple hair, so it comes from india and it's you know it's traceable. They can trace it back to the person who donated the hair. That'S pretty good in you today! This is my hair guys. What do you want she's going to be blonde again? So, okay, everybody, a third row in how beautiful is this three separate, colors and seamless bonds? Prior to that, i don't need to let you down just a hair. You do your thing, i'm going to interrogate maria as she does. My hair excuse her, don't get the third chin. I know right, it's all about angles, right, ooh! That'S all that angles get the angle and it's my angle, not yours, okay, so this is my third time, like i said, getting um a set of great lengths, which is literally the most amazing extensions in the world. Tiny tiny, yes, so i'll show you guys up close and everything, but i just wanted to talk a little bit as she puts them in they're all individuals. So obviously, a lot of people are familiar with like rows of hair that are hand tied in or sewn in different ways. These are look at how individual they're so teeny tiny she uses. Am i saying it right? A keratin bond fusion. It is a keratin there's, multiple different ways to do it, but she uses a light heat. She says it's like not even as hot as a straightener yeah, so no damage to your hair and the keratin. It'S not glue correct. It'S keratin! Excuse me: it's keratin! It'S not a glue, a glue gets too hard and will kind of act as a saw in your hair. So sorry, that's my camera. Um will kind of act like a saw in your hair and cuts your hair, the keratin expands and contracts with you know, heat humidity, water. All of that, so it's it's always a little pliable, so it won't damage your hair. Your hair actually gets protected because the character wraps around it, so it protects you from yourself because somebody what was it a conair hair dryer that she's had for how long guys? Okay, maybe since high school? Oh my gosh, please throw the conair hair dryers away. It'S you know, i tell you guys, i'm low maintenance, high maintenance so but think if you're using your hair dryer like if you do an investment like this, where you do extensions and, like you know same with me, you know my hair. I have 20 inch extensions. You don't want to overheat it it's like you know, buying your louis vuitton purse and just pouring crap in and leaving all your makeup open and staining the inside. Why would you do stuff like that, to your hair, so think about your investment when it comes to your shampoos and stuff, it doesn't have to be expensive, but it just has to be better and a hair. Dryer is the most important thing use a decent hair. Dryer, you don't have to pay 400 for a hair dryer, but use it and replace it as you need to, because the elements burn out. If you think your hair dryer is like really drying your hair really fast. It'S like. Oh, this is great. It'S hot. The elements so think of that yeah, yeah yeah, so anyways, don't be like me, get a good one which one's the brain you recommended. I did buy one after you told me, you know what there's silver lines out there. Of course everyone loves the dyson. I use a dyson it's great, but if you don't want to go the dyson route, dude ghd is a good one. Um there's also you know. Hot tools makes a great one, which is wouldn't be as expensive and again i'm not slamming con air. It isn't bad, but you shouldn't have a con air for 15 years, how long you've been out of high school a long time, and if it's like sparking a little when you plug it in get rid of it. So just saying: okay, okay, i'm gon na! Let it get back to work anyways, and our lunch is here. So, as marie here is putting in the extensions window over here say: hi wendell wendell is okay, tell us what you're doing linda. So i am prepping the extensions so marie likes her um bonds to be really small, so you don't feel them in your hair. So i'm cutting them in half to make sure that they're, very small okay, so don't feel them as you do. It show us what you're doing so. This is what they look like when you first get them, and so i'm just going to go ahead and cut them in halves. So that's what i'm doing now and it just kind of depends on how fine your hair is. Um, so sometimes we cut them in thirds for clients if they have super super fine, hair yeah, just so the grout's nice, but we match density to density. Yes, so the amount that's in the bond is the amount of the piece of hair. I pick up. That'S added to sarah's hair. It'S incredible! Look at this so far and look my hair. How long is my hair, maybe like here yeah i mean your front - is a little shorter. That'S your natural she's got to blend it all in, but once she gets done all right, we got how many more rows a couple. More rows rose places yeah, you know whatever it takes to be perfect. So, yes, she doesn't. She just kind of goes through and based on my hair, she'll put different pieces placement placement. Look at that, so pretty fabulous and rose tends to be a left turn yeah, which i totally turn left. One miller got in trouble, even though i'm making rows. Essentially, i tried one all right, we're finishing up just a couple: more can't wait to show the afters maurice a boss, so this is the beauty of having someone good. Do your hair. She, you know, there's no cookie cutter for everybody. She looks at your hair. Your density, what your hair is like and uses hair and puts as much needed for you so she's just putting a couple pieces randomly. I could have a couple scars from when i was younger on the top of my head. So she's just that's a whole story. Yeah, it is she's just giving me a little life up there. So close! Yes, okay, we are all done. She still got, ta cut it in style and everything, but look at that length. Wow. 20 inches bye-bye, that's amazing! She got 20s. Who says you can't wear your extensions? This is 20 inch great lengths, extensions. How beautiful done by marie so marie has been doing great links since 2004. She'S incredible um, like this, is just what a good quality set looks like. You cannot see my hair like it is incredible and this this quality of hair. This is really real hair. This is not synthetic. This is real. You treat it just like your own. I love it so much. I want to show you the back in the mirror. All right, you see it back there look at that. It'S so pretty! I am obsessed, run your fingers all through it. So pretty didn't she do such a good job. So i'm going to go over. We talked in depth about care things you should know, but overall these extensions are so low maintenance. So i'm going to be posting. The great thing about this guys is, i go in the lake almost every day i go in the lake. I work out, i'm in the hospital, so i wear a scrub cap. So literally these are the most low maintenance. Um extensions you could imagine you can do anything with these. I get in trouble for touching them too much, but they are so pretty. I did a bunch of pictures with it straight guys. You can wear these extensions straight curled up so low maintenance. I love them. So much i think you know like some of my pictures showed i've had actual wefts froze before, and this is just incredible. It'S no show like my hair is only like this long and, like you can't tell at all where my hair is it's so incredible. So yeah this is great links. How pretty did she do such a good job? You
