Take your fine, limp, lifeless, hair and turn it into this beautiful head of full hair and keep it looking that way for the entire day.. Let'S go Make sure that your hair is dirty when you go get it styled., It's really going to help the style. Last a lot longer.. No, If your hair is fine trust me do not do that., Contrary to popular belief. Fine hair will not look good and it will not hold if it's flat and slept on or if it's dirty., If there's any oil in the hair whatsoever. It'S going to get weighed down.. If you want fine hair to look amazing, you really do have to start all of your styling steps right from the wash stage. It sucks, but it's also just reality.. That'S just how it is with fine hair. When you're washing your hair, you really do need a shampoo and conditioner that caters to volume., I'm so excited to have Alterna sponsor this video today, because they have an amazing volume line on the market.. I spoke about this product line actually in a completely unsponsored volumizing blowout video a couple of weeks ago.. So it's just awesome that they have sponsored this one so that I can put clothing on my children, this month. And don't forget to subscribe. The first product that I'm going to use is the Caviar Multiplying Volume Shampoo.. This is a sulfate-free shampoo that is made for building thickness and volume.. Sometimes I find that volume products make my hair dry, especially because I have textured wavy hair.. I can guarantee you, though, that this won't do that.. It has a Marine Plumping Complex, which contains Omega-3, and it has something called Seasilk which strengthens, reduces breakage and restores natural thickness.. It'S also perfectly safe to use on colored hair. In case any of you guys are worried about that.. Of course. Our second step is to condition the midshafts and the ends avoiding the roots with the Caviar Shampoo Sidekick, its lover (. If you will ) the Multiplying Volume Conditioner., This conditioner does all of the same. Sexy things. Plumps adds weightless moisture, reduces breakage., Okay, I'm being weird.. Let'S move on. Now we have to prep our hair with products for the blowout., Although I recognize that this part can be a little less fun for some people to watch.. If you skip this step, you will not get the same results that I'm getting. Period. Products are essential to styling.. The first product I'm going to use is the Multiplying Volume. Styling Mousse. Mousse is a great option for styling fine hair, because the fluffy texture is light, but it provides fantastic hold.. This mousse by Alterna adds some serious volume and texture without any stickiness or stiffness and you'll see that in a minute.. I always cocktail that, with the Multiplying Volume Styling Mist, which is a multitasking treatment styler., I love products like this because you get tons of benefits in one bottle., So this one adds volume.. It reduces breakage, it improves smoothness. It adds shine as well as like a bunch of other amazing things., So you get all of these great things, all packaged into one little mist styler. After you apply products always brush them through from roots to ends to evenly distribute them. And then you can begin your blow dry., I'm not going to go into too much detail here because, like I said I did an entire video about this, which I will link in the description box and in the pinned comment below.. But I always blow my own hair out with a blow out brush lifting the roots up for more volume and using a mohawk sectioning technique at the top.. This is the easiest way to do it and also the way that gives me the absolute best results.. When I finish, while the hair is still hot, I often place three large velcro rollers on that Mohawk section just to set the volume in place.. When the hair is cooled down and the rollers are released, you can really see how much volume smoothness and lift I've achieved on hair. That is not that impressive naturally.. That really is from the Alterna Volume Line.. It really does an incredible job of pumping up hair without stickiness and just making even the finest strands. Look super super thick and dense.. Let'S talk about hair parting now.. If you part your hair in its natural position, which is typically a side part for most people, you will get less volume.. If you part your hair in the middle you're going to get even less volume, because the hair is then evenly distributed on both sides.. So you don't have a bump of hair on one side of the head.. If you part your hair using the opposite side of your natural part, you will get a crazy amount of volume.. It'S going to feel weird, but just try it before you decide not to do it.. It'S the easiest way to get long, lasting amazing volume at the front.. Now, naturally, if you go and live your life, you walk into humidity, you're out and about all day.. You do all the adult things., Your volume is going to drop. If you have fine hair., That's just what happens. So girl do. I have a hack for you.. This tool is called a mini crimper.. You can get one like mine or you can get one with a larger square like pattern.. This is the best hack ever for getting volume to last in fine hair., I'm telling you this works.. All you have to do is add texture to the root of your hair, leaving out the very top layer to camouflage the crimp.. Now I typically ignore the bottom of the ear down, because I have more density here in the back.. So it's just like really not that important for me., But if you have very fine hair in the back and you want more volume even at the base, then you can use it. There too. Work your way around your head section by section and look at the volume you get with a micro crimper.. Isn'T it wild? I am a specialized bridal stylist. So when I learned this trick, I honestly my mind was blown.. Now, let's go in and curl the hair to give us even more width.. I am using a one inch: clamp curling iron for this look., So I'm clamping at the root., I'm rotating, to incorporate the hair and then I'm unraveling and pulling through to straighten out the ends.. This creates a really modern super sexy, curl shape.. I know a lot of people struggle with using a clamp, curling iron. If you're one of those people, please. Let me know in the comments, because I'm planning a whole back to the basics, clamp curling iron video. And if enough of you guys, are interested in that video I'll make it sooner than later. I'll post it right. Away. After the curls have cooled down and they have set, I always run a wide tooth comb through them to modernize the look.. This is the finished result.. The Alterna Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Mousse and Styling Mist left my hair, looking huge glossy bouncy and best of all, not sticky or crunchy at all., Go and check them out using the link in my description box below.. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. In order to fully execute this. Look, it's really important that you learn my volume blowout technique, so don't forget to check that one out right, now.
