#HennaHair #naturalhair #AskHennaSooq

Welcome to the hennessup channel right here on youtube, so glad to see you guys. I'M excited to be answering questions every week. Ask hanasuke with me khadijah. So this week's question is: will my hair fall out if i use henna after using chemicals? So let's say you're still doing chemical hair treatments. You know like dyeing your hair or using perm. Any type of you know chemical process. There is a lot of kind of scary information out there about that. Henna won't melt. Your hair off it'll just make all this crazy stuff happen, which is not true, unfortunately, most colorists and most of those in like the cosmetology kind of industry. They don't talk about natural hair care. They they really don't it's growing. It'S changing and that's why i'm here. That'S why i have a professional kind of hair, color course and professional courses for the professionals so that way that information can get out there. Like that's my dream, my dream is to give professionals all the information they need to make. An informed decision have the right facts and the right information hannah is not going to melt your hair off hannah's, not gon na start making your hair all fall out. You know, henna is in your hair to protect it. You know and to just really you know, strengthen it and and give it a really good beautiful. You know gorgeous results for your hair to be healthier and you know just promoting it to grow and just the overall healthy environment for your hair. It'S a great herb. It'S a versatile, go-to herb for sure. That being said, yes, you can still do chemical hair dyes. If you want to perm and still use kind of kind of masks and trees doesn't have to be pure henna powder but kind of mask deep conditioning treatments with henna. You know you can kind of rotate them in every three to four weeks. You know you don't have to do it all back to back. You know your hair needs a bit of a break, so just being mindful of that, and maybe your stylist or colors might be against it, but it's your hair, you know it's your hair and you have the right to do other treatments that you want to. I will say, because you know i'm transparent and i'm always going to be honest about that. Henna is very difficult to remove. So that is a true fact um, but there is nothing better about chemicals. When it comes, you know, henna is a natural earth. That'S been around here for thousands of years, so chemicals ain't got nothing on henna. It really really doesn't, but i understand and respect that people want to play with their hair and kind of you know see how their hair is going to be. You know it's creative and it's art and it makes you feel happy. So i i understand that totally. I just really recommend that if you decide to use any type of chemicals or any other type of treatments that you should have like henna or an ayurvedic herbal hair treatment as part of your regimen as well. So that way you could keep doing masks and treatments and just keep your hair really really healthy. So, yes, you can still use henna and you will not fall out because of chemicals. The chemicals might make it fall out and break, but it won't be the henna. Just again, everything is about balance and monitoring your hair. If you need to take things into your own hands, if you don't have access to a natural, you know hair specialist, which you can book an appointment with me. If you want a one-on-one consultation, you could definitely do that and i can help you in that journey um, but definitely write everything down, keep track of your process and how everything's going so that way, you have a really good foundation and you're learning how to take Care of your hair because everyone's hair is so unique as you are as a person, so i hope that helps. I will see you next week. Bye

Lori Burchfield: I put henna over my chemically died hair and it made it so much healthier than before! About 6 months after using henna, I put blonde highlights over the henna just to see how it would react and what it would look like. And you're so right!! Chemicals ain't got nothing on henna lol it didn't change the color, probably made it a little more orangey (which I love anyways lol). But henna is in my hair to stay, I love it so much

Tiffany James: Very cool! Would love to see you discuss henna on chemically relaxed or permed hair and what the outcomes are. A great topic + discussion to add to your list :)

Deranged Dollface: Hi Hennasooq, I love your videos! I'm a cosmetologist and I would love to know if there is a way to create an eggplant color with henna by mixing Indigo and a red based henna? I understand that there are limits to what henna can do, but I'm very intrigued! Thank you for all that you do!

Ivana Delic: I have been combining henna and chemical dyes forever! I have light brown hair and i like it to be a bit lighter copper/strawberry blonde shade, so i dye my roots with chemical hair dye. I was also bleaching it in the past and putting henna over it, works great. Hanna can only help your damaged hair and give it moisture and protection. Only be careful to always use pure henna and not the pre-prepped mixtures that have metals and who knows what. Anyway, i do my henna mix (henna, amla, cassia and shikakai) to even out my color and to refresh it and give it shine. The best with henna is that my hair is not damaged and since i have learned to manipulate it, i'm not stuck with the same shade that is getting deeper. I love it! My hair has the most beautiful shade, it looks so natural and shinny!

Broomstick Betty: I bleached over henna. It just lifts very orange Like stated, it's only an issue if its fake henna with weird metallic salts.

Kat: I've always wanted to try henna but I'm nervous about it because I change my hair color ALL the time

sleepy dreamer: hi there! ♡ i really hope you see this~ my hair is currently dyed with henna, am i able to bleach over the henna? i may have just completely spaced if you answered this, but for me again, i’m not using henna over bleach hair, rather i’m wanting to use bleach over the henna. i hope that makes sense? am i able to do this without my hair ‘melting’ off? thank you so much in advance! ♡♡

CJ and Auntie Yaya: I used Henna to dye my elderly mom's hair because her hair is very sparse and it almost looks like she is bald. So I stopped using box dyes on her and used Henna. Much more affordable. I just ordered an Exothermic Perm kit for her because curly hair will be much easier to control and have a less bald look. But the box says not to use on Henna dyed hair. Is this an issue?

Emmy Liz: I've really been debating on dying my hair black with chemicals now, the indigo has not been lasting as long as I've wanted it to or making it a true black color the way I want... but I still want to continue to use my henna!! What do you suggest I do?

Melancholy Collie: I gave up on maintaining blonde and Olaplex, so I went back to Henna and my hair is still long and strong and loving the drink. As long as I don't change my mind again. My mum was a hairdresser even she just wouldn't even let me put it down the kitchen sink. I'm like chill, it's just a plant. That irrational panic and lack of understanding.

Christina T.: Hi ! I do keratin treatments on my hair - they have helped soo much my hair’s condition- and I would like to henna my hair now .. Which one should I do first ? The henna or the keratin or it doesn’t matter? My hair stylist said she will not touch my hair if I color it with henna

K N: Hi, I found your channel, I wish I had this info back when I was a 13 yr old using henna! I am 25 and looking to go back to my vibrant red. I have used permanent dye before (dark brown over medium brown natural hair), should I try fading it before using henna to achieve a brighter colour? Also I am curious, I like using demi permanent clear glosses (ammonia free) would this be safe to use over hair that has been treated with henna? Thank you!

GailWoolWill: What about coloring with henna over semi permanent dye. Black on black. I’m not trying to do anything drastic. Can I do a full henna with partial indigo treatment and continue on doing henna after that. I just did the semi permanent because it covers so well the gray. Can I now switch to henna and if so, do I have to wait to start it? Thank you for your help.

Julia's Hair Journey: I prefer just only doing henna ony hair every few months. I still wish people would give natural hair dyes like henna a chance.

Fatimah Ghazali: Hi! So i want to ask clear things out. I have henna-ed my hair for about 3 months ago. But now, I want to dye my hair. It means that i want to dye my hair over henna. Will that cause any chemical reaction or is it safe to do so?

PawPal: My dream is also to get the word out how henna and natural products are so awesome for your hair and body! I have been using henna and cassia for almost 40 years. I started using "hennalucent" in sunset color in the early eighties... Egyptian Henna powder and finally now I use Light Mountain. I would love to try your products. I have searched high and low for any salon who would help with the application and then I could go home and remove it after a few hours myself, I haven't found one yet in Southern California. The hair stylists that cut my hair are always surprised when I let them know I use henna. They say " but your hair isn't orange!".....Thank you!

coconut360: Hi @HennaSooq do any of your videos talk about using chemical dye or something like a frost and glow kit AFTER using henna? I applied a red/burgundy henna to my hair about a year ago during quarantine and now want to switch it up for something lighter? I read to wait a year if you’ve used henna but not sure if it is safe as I haven’t cut off any of the previously henna-treated hair. What should I do?

Jimmy Benson: Hi Hennasooq, Thanks a lot for your interesting & informative video's. Can you please advise the best henna to dye a grey beard to black. Cheers

darcey derosa: It turned my hair orange and dried it up. Never tried henna again. Not practical for me, but I use ayervedic powders in my conditioner

Gurmeet Golar: can i use henna on my colored hair and roots ? will my hair colour differ from roots to ends ?

Pandorica: I'm bookmarking this video so I can educate the naysayers! Also, I love your hoodie! :)

Maz Kay: Long shot for a reply on a year old video but.... I used henna but struggled to keep going due to cost of henna and also how messy it was. But. I miss it so much. I got black roots, to dark red then lighter red on the ends (bleached) so question is, should I henna over my whole hair and risk my ombre, or just henna my ends with rouge...I may walk into Lush and see what the staff thinks. Thanks

Vanadium789: I have an allergy making it u likely for me to ever use wild colors in my hair ever again. Problem is my bangs are dyed and faded to an awful color. I was thinking of doing a henna dye but my desire is for it to be charcoal grey. Is it possible to somehow make black henna lighter like a dark grey?

Stacy Marie: I've been using henna for a little while and on the instructions of the brand I get, it says to not use the henna on chemically treated hair for at least 30 days after I last used the chemical. Do you know if that's for any specific reason? Their henna is 100% pure so there's nothing additional added to it. (Henna Color Lab) I didn't listen to the instructions btw, I was just wondering if there was a reason

AVOCADO ANDTOAST: This is not a myth in my expeirence. I tried a two-step henna + indigo on my black mother's relaxed hair several years ago (she also had remnants of box dye on her hair) and not only would it not cover the grey (the paste would not stay put to cover the grey strands like the rest of her non-grey hair) but afterwards, my mother experienced massive hair breakage. She wasn't happy about it because I'm the one who convinced her to try henna in the first place, not knowing the risk on processed hair :(. I had used Henna Sooq powders at the time.

LilCupcakeArts: I am debating if I should apply some lightbrown henna to my previously dyed and bleached hair, I'm trying to grow my dark brown hair out and am at 2 inches roots, but I only want something light so it don't chance my regrowth color

Manpreet Mavi: Henna is so healthy untill hair dressers hates it

TIFFANI BONMON: I did a small Henan infused with olive oil and cloves and Rosemary and let me share. After 1 use I noticed a huge difference in the best way. # 1 my cuticles were smoother. Like the ph was balanced in my hair. I am relaxed .thx 4 the share

Louraine Mae Ferrer: hiya. just bumped into your video looking for ways to treat my damaged bleached hair. my hair just turned gray after bleaching. its like the color or my grandma's hair . any idea on how soon can i use the hena to cover the grey hair? really really appreciate it..

Negra Caribeña: What about cassia on grey hair? Will that have an effect?

Diana Hussein: Okay here my story goes i had a natural hair then i colored my hair not from the roots only the endings after 3 years i put henna on my hair after 2 years again I did ombre to my hair not all if it again , so my hair is disasterI can’t combed it’s so dry and burned what i want now to put henna again will it be disaster to my hair if i put henna on it ?

cdaustria05: Love the makeup, looks beautiful!

Teach Smart With Fay: What about trying to bleach hair AFTER henna? I tried to bleach my hair for a balayage after henna and was told to wait 1-2 years for the henna to get out my hair before bleaching. Is this true?

Connie Morgan: Hi Khadija, I know I'm off topic but can you talk about how to incorporate chebe along with henna? How often, can they be used together in the same treatment...tks ❤

Tannika Jadoo: Hi Hennasooq, does henna cause split ends? I recently began using henna. I do a henna mask every 4--6 weeks. My ends are so split, and the more I trim, the more spit ends I get. I'm thinking that it's the henna causing it because I did not use any new products

Dionne Bell: Wondering how Henna will work with Olaplex 3 as it’s really great in my hair but wanting to cover my greys.

RememberTheLord: Do you know anyone in metro Detroit I could go to for henna dye? pls answer asap. I don’t trust myself to know how to do this. I have balayage hair and it’s thin and brittle and I want to repair and thicken my hair

grace capuano: You better not color with peroxide or amonia after using henna, unless you want green vomit colored hair. When I was in cosmetology school I witnessed this occur and the instructor reminded the student we are to ask if they have henna in their hair before applying chemicals. I don't recall how they fixed her hair.

sarasthoughts: The way you use the word "chemicals" is absurd. Henna is a chemical. Water is a chemical. What you MEAN is "artificial hair dye". This wording is so bad.
