Installing Halo Hair Extensions

Hello friends and welcome back to my channel, i am cher. I blog a lot of beauty, travel a little bit of everything um, so i've been gone for a little while not that long, but it's just been a few weeks since i have filmed so happy to be back what i wanted to do today in case you Can'T tell from the title let me try out some more hair extensions, so a while back, i did um a video and i will link it for you here or here. I never remember which side it is, but i'll link it for you, where you can find it, but basically um. I tried hair extensions, but they were the tape in kind and i absolutely fell in love. I loved having extensions so much. It just felt so beautiful. So like, like, i had the best hair um, the downside of it, though, was they only lasted for about a month. I think they were they're made to last for about one to two months um, but they last me maybe about a month and they just kind of some of them started falling out. So it was still it was within the range they were supposed to, but uh. It was just very disappointing for me and it just had taken a little while to put them all in that i just i never got around to reusing them, and i know you can reuse them um. I just felt a little bit like it was a pain in the ass to do so. So i decided you know what i'm going to try clip-on clip-ins this time and actually it's not even just clip-ins. It is supposed to be like a band. That'S kind of already got them together and then you just put the band in your hair. I'Ve heard about this kind like a halo kind, but this was on amazon, so i just bought it with my own money and i'm going to try it out, and i thought i would bring you guys along. It was actually one of the most affordable hair extensions. I have ever seen out there. I think these were probably like in the 20 range and um they're. Well, this says four inch, but that might just be the at home um, but you know they're for long hair. So i hope i didn't get a dud, but i'm gon na give you a little review on them and i will link down below where to find them on amazon too. In case you want to check them out for yourself. The last video was um, but we're gon na try this one out again or try out more hair extensions again and i'm gon na see, which i like better and if these work or not and give you a little review so come on along okay, um. I'Ve read over the instructions and i really have no clue what i'm doing, and i don't know what all these things are. But first of all i did want to say it comes with little nail designs too complimentary. I guess so that's pretty cool! Okay, here is how it is packaged. You have these little clips with a little string here. I think this is what goes across. I have no clue guys and then here's the hair, a spray bottle a tie, a comb and clips with string too um. Your guess is as good as mine. I you guys i'm terrible at hair so come on along for the ride. Let'S see how we're gon na do this, so the instructions say the step step. One is to first like brush your hair and get rid of tangles and then section it off your hair, like at the crown tying it into a bun on top of your head and leave out the front sections of hair to frame your face. I don't know if you can see that okay, so okay, i'm gon na assume - maybe that's what this is for. Do i use this to put my hair up guys. I have no idea, i'm just going to use this for now. All right make my little bun up here. I assume this is what they wanted. We'Ll see: okay, adjust the wire length to fit your head. Okay, what wire length? Okay! I think it's actually this so you can see the inside here. It has this elastic like band and then the string and it's saying to put string around your bun um and like adjust everything. I'M just gon na see what it will do. Okay, i see now so we're kind of like we're putting it around the little crown area that we just made and then take the bun down to hide. Oh, how pretty is that guys? I'M gon na adjust this? Oh my gosh, i feel like rapunzel again beautiful. I will get you guys the dimensions on this in a minute, okay and then it talks about curling, your own hair, along with the extensions so that they kind of blend together, and it doesn't look too fake, um secure the two clip weft at the temple of Your head, i don't know what that means. I think it means this, so i think we use - maybe maybe not. Let me show you how to take these things out. Okay, i think we use this to like secure it, and it may be that we do it along the string because i couldn't do it along the hairline okay, do you see what i'm doing there and then clip it in? I guess no! Oh you guys! Oh okay, so with this clip it's it's out like this and then you can snap it. The other direction to make it snap into place is how you use that, so i'm going to do it, they show theirs like along the hairline, but i can't figure out how you would even get it along there, so i'm gon na turn it this way to Get the comb up in there and then pop it in okay, there we go so put one on each side so that it like secures it down and holds it in place. So i guess that's what these things are for. I don't know why. There'S all this! Other string that was very confusing um, it may be extra string, i'm gon na assume, okay yeah. I think this is just another string with clips in case something happens to your original band, so that is so easy. That really is actually very easy, but we're going to see how it's all going to come together in the end here. So i'm going to find my string on this side. I need better camera and all of that, so you guys can see this close up better. Okay, so i locked it in on this side now all right um, which is beautiful. It already comes with curls. Now it has the net, so you can kind of keep the hair in the net to keep it somewhat safe and from like coming all undone um. I'M gon na kind of brush the hair a little bit, but not too much because i don't want to lose those gorgeous curls. I really love this because it's not like super straight. It has like curls to it and it definitely matches my hair color. So it looks pretty natural, but i'm going to take down my bun now and see how it looks once my real hair is down. That'S the key and you can hear my kid in the background. Sorry guys he likes to make noises and it's summer. So it's just like when he's home, that's how he entertains himself. Okay, so the only thing is you can tell that i'm wearing a headband, so it just kind of depends how you want to hide that. But for the most part, it's really not too bad. I mean it kind of just looks like i'm wearing a little bit of a headband or a clip, and that's okay. I really really love it all right, so check it out. You can see that so this hair right here is a little shorter than the rest, but now my dog's making noises you guys this house is just like anyway, that is really really helpful. Um, i like it and so much easier than sitting there for two hours trying to put clippings in so um or tape ins. So the disadvantages of the tape bins also was when everything started coming out. If they came out on their own, it was fine, but i got down to some last couple of pieces. I had a couple of strips left in there and it was so hard to get out. I had to use what was it i had to use. I think i had to use like rubbing alcohol or coconut oil, or something like that. I can't remember what it was um, but i had to use um special stuff to like try to keep it from ripping my hair out, but it did damage some of my real hair, and i did not like that. So there are some disadvantages of using tape. Ends now i just i loved it, because i i could sleep with it. I felt like it was. You know my real hair, whatever i probably would not sleep with this, but it's so easy because everything is attached to the halo. So you just pop that sucker on in and you are ready to go okay now i did not think about the fact that in the back you can see the crown okay. So let's talk about this, how would we fix that? So really, what i need to do is we're gon na redo it. Okay, you want to have your crown cover the rest of the head too, or you know when you go to bring your bun up, you want to bring that under the bun all the way under some hair, so you need to leave enough of the top layer Of hair out, because that makes sense to cover the back too - and i did not do that - it only did it for up top okay, but so easy. So what's so cool about this, is that was the easiest thing to put in and then it will be. The easiest thing to take out if i can find the clip again - oh there, it is so um. I guess the disadvantages with this. This kind with the halo is just that um. You know you're not going to sleep in it and have it on all the time because it probably you know you don't want to risk messing this band up and the other disadvantage. I guess, is hiding enough hair hiding the hair from the headband um. So we'll try this again and see this, i think, was backwards too. Okay, we're getting the hang of it. We'Re gon na figure it out. Oh okay, these clips probably clipped to this. Don'T you think i may have gotten that wrong. I bet i did do you think that is how that works clips into that i don't completely know, but we're going to give this another shot. So let's go for round two and see i just thought it would be fun to bring you with me so that you can try it with me at the same time so that we can iron out any of these mistakes right. Okay, okay, my hairdresser actually told me about the halo, so i you know there's different versions of halo out there um i just wanted and i wanted to try it and when i saw like a 20 one, i was like okay, i'm gon na. Do this one! Okay, we're going to try this again and this time is it up over my hair, most of my hair, i hope. Okay, i think it's up over most of my hair um i'll bring some of this hair down okay and then we'll try the clip again. Obviously this is so reusable when it's so easy to just install in and out. You know so much better, okay, so this time we're gon na let the hair down and cover everything up better. Okay, that's better! Now i can feel it covering in the back better. So so i think the key is you want to make sure you put up most of your hair in that bun, especially if you have really thin hair like mine, where you need to like cover enough of the halo, so i'm trying to get it even in The back here there we go, and you probably want to make sure that you look, you know, get like two mirrors so that you can see the back of your head easily to make sure everything is covered up. Sorry about my kids noises again: okay, i think that's it. So i guess the main downfall is going to be that you can still kind of see the headband a little bit um, but really it's like, i don't just think, you're wearing a headband um. I wear like a clipper headband or something every day to be honest, so just because sometimes it gives my hair more volume. So it's really not out of the ordinary. I love it all right guys, so just for a little demo of how long it is and how it looks. I love it. Okay, so one more thing it did say: curl your regular hair, because, as you can see, this is my real hair compared to this. So that's why they're saying like go ahead and curl your hair into the longer hair so that it all kind of fuses together and looks like it's just layers um. I got too lazy to do that. I'M just honestly, i'm like i'm just so thrilled with this i'll, wear it like this so anyway that is it and you see how easy it is to put on and take off now that i figured out what all the pieces parts are. I, like it um i'm going to link where i got this down below, put the amazon link in there and um yeah. I guess if i have any updates like if something doesn't go well i'll, come back. Maybe do another follow-up video with a review on you know just how long it lasts and everything um. I want to do like a wear test and see how it works, but that's it guys. I highly recommend one of these so much easier, so you've got different kinds of hair extensions. You'Ve got tape in you've, got clip in and then you've got this halo. So the clip ends are hard too, because you're, like clipping in different pieces, also, whereas this halo, it's just it's. The hair is already on the string and you just pop the sucker on so much easier and then you can take it off and put it back on kind of like a wig. You know, but it's extensions um, so yeah and it looks it's so much better than wearing a wig. I'Ll, be honest, i have a wig too, and the wig just never sits right on the you know up here. So i would say this is the only downfall is. It can be a little hard to hide the um halo, but i really think it could be done if you worked with it. But to me i feel like, since i wear a clip or a headband. It'S really not out of the norm for me anyway, it just looks like i'm wearing a headband, i think so anyway.
