Shein: W Model Used To Promote Afro Hair Pieces

shein afro puffs natural hairstyles american american hair

Foreign, ladies and gentlemen, a white model used to promote afro hair pieces causes a frenzy on social media. You know, here's the thing a black woman can put her hair in that exact, same style, and nobody on social media will pay attention a white woman. Does it not only will it cause a stir, she'll make a ton of money just from doing that small Act. So, let's get into this story, popular clothing and accessory brand shine is facing an onslaught of criticism over the way it's been marketing, afro-textured buttons. So people began calling out the company on Friday when Jesse Wu, tweeted shots of a white woman, modeling afro puffs and burgundy and black woo sarcastically wrote it's in their period uh period uh section, the drawstring hair accessories is listed as a short curly synthetic bun that Retails for five dollars by Sunday September 17th afternoon, the site was scrubbed of any images using the white model showing off the bun. Several other screenshots and comments were already rampant online. Several other wigs on the site that mimic African-American, hair textures are either modeled by black people or a mannequin head. You know, ladies and gentlemen, what let me just say this: whenever you see cultural appropriation, it is done for two reasons: number one they're trying to hijack something from you and number two they're trying to make a profit, so they were selling these hair pieces over there. On their catalog and you know and look what they did, but I have to tell you if white women wear afro, puffs it'll be a thing. If you wear it or you send your daughter to school with it in certain circumstances, they'll have a problem and issue with it. It is just unbelievable, so I think they did it for attention. Now that the story is out there, people are going to get curious and quite naturally go over and look at shine's website. So as of now they're claiming they took all of the pictures of white models and African-American hair, as they said down from their website. Should this have even been done in the first place, I don't think so. Why would it be necessary to put an afro puff on a white woman? That'S my question. There'S plenty of black women that could have done these pictures and what is the big deal? Why did they feel the need to get this and put this on a white model? You know so now that everybody is up in arms, don't be surprised in the next few days, you'll hear some laying behind apology. We didn't mean to offend, and this is not who we are and yada yada. You know that old cookie cutter statement that they come out with I'm sure it'll be out in the next few days and nothing will change. I mean look at it this way, y'all. Nobody steals from us more than the entire planet: okay, especially white people. They have appropriated so many things from us over the years. It'S not even funny and, like I said when they do it, it's all all of a sudden, there's some huge profit in it. But what do y'all think please tell me what you think in the comment section about these photos that they felt the need to put on this white model. I I'm oh boy. We will just expect to see anything in these last days, y'all anything. But one thing I can say it caused a big stir on Twitter and a lot of people were not happy out there when these photos were posted, and I can understand - I really do I get it. Please leave your comment and subscribe. Don'T forget to hit on the notification Bell and I'll see you on the next video Peaks family. Stop

Missy: For all the times our hair has been a 'problem' for them, all of a sudden they find value with it. I wish we would collectively ignore these psychos and their demonic behavior. The less attention we give them with this, they are sure to fail cause they CAN'T promote us. Appropriation is their lifeline, ah huh, but nobody can do us but us, failed already.

vienicestyles: BP, don't buy anything from Shein. Problem solved.

Black Love: Mimicking our culture does not make you chosen.

Lori Stewart: That hair bun looks ridiculous on her hair!

Deborah🌴🌹: Our people need to “ come out of her my people”. “Save yourself Zion”. “Be ye separate”. “Envy not the oppressor and choose NONE of his ways”.

Spencer W: Just wait til The Most High comes back. He will make chains fashionable again just for them

B1 Queensland: When are we going to stop feeding into attention-seeking behavior? The same features and hairstyles they condemn is the same they celebrate when they appropriate it. I don't shop fast fashion companies. This is why I rather support Hebrew businesses because representation is important to me. Todah beloved❣️✌

K B: They steal everything

Trey Referee 100%: And unfortunately a lot of black men would run after this mzungu woman ‍♂️

milesdiontre: These colonizers makes me sick to my stomach

Trey Referee 100%: Some of these shenanigans are out fault. We have allowed so many other groups of people into our spaces.. Integration definitely has done a number on us

Ester🍇: Nigeria use to use Europeans for this type of things but I read a few weeks ago that they have decided to hire their own people for models and voice overs rather than sending the work to Europe. Perhaps in the future, more models will begin to look more like ADOS FBA, instead of the colonizers who have oppressed us around the world! ❤️

Karen Thomas: They want to be us, so damn bad

Soosoosony Mao: All of those that have a problem with it can protest by not buying any of their products. Shein knows what they're doing,it's all marketing.

A TAURUS QUEEN OF ZION!: that looks so unnatural

Eliana Yisra’el: These creatures make me sick.

Jewell Gillette: This is the norm on these sights...I think Amazon has had some instances like this too... In Asia they are using the pipe cleaner craft supplies to mimic kinky hair...and I think the photos look ridiculous like someone pinned a tail on a "D"onkey

Israel Emmanuel: Can’t y’all see??? They’re mocking our Black Queens!!

Donna Means: You Can Call Me LaLa!: We are giving them exactly what they want, attention. Attention brings profits and a sense of superiority for them and others with their mindsets. We as Black people, period, need to get on code and intervene with these people's money-making propagandas by not addressing their foolishness. *By the way, these photos look ridiculous.

UV INFERNO 🔥: Will somebody please tell these people they are not the face of beauty anymore! The cat is out the hat, you funny looking, cut it out!

Tawana Cook: They are mocking us.

1619 Brewed: This is a deliberate distraction. Don't give it energy by giving a damn. Educate the community, ignore all their products and purchase nothing from these people...

Phoenix Rain: They shut it down only because they've been caught...they actually thought they could try it and get away with it.....they are so exhausting

sanchez73 day: This company did this purposely even though her hair texture and everything wrong with this picture was for publicity, now they got a buzz. That loofah looks cheap and unnatural .

Geneva Greer: Lisa you are so right. And, I am so tiered of these people always trying to use us. We are so important to this society!! We need to realize just how good we are and stick to who we are and love who we are. I think for profit!!! . Lisa, good blessings

yashuwahisreal israel: I think they just wanted to pick at us and to get a reaction from us and that's exactly what happened!!! They already knew it would make us mad!!!

Mrs. Reeves: This is as ridiculous to me as us weaving somebody else's hair is OUR heads...and dying it blond. Love the skin, and hair, you're in, Zion. We were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of the Most High Yah. HalleluYAH

Martin D: This ain't flattery its kleptomania they have issues with our women and children tell them to cut their hair our culture is inappropriate...nuff said.

Mike C.: In these last days, you’re are going see more and more of this stuff. TMH tells the gentiles to repent and cleave to his Chosen People. Some will and some won’t. These folks are done, and will dealt with accordingly. APTTMHY !!!!

I am Me: Everything about this is so unnatural. Putting authentic-type hair on fur-type hair.

Emotional2000: The company obviously knows what time it is and letting the whyte folk know too. I think the company was "testing the waters" to see if it was time for whytes to start assimilating (even more so) into Black culture. These companies know that Black and Brown people are going to be the majority in the U.S.. Hence, I believe we are going to see much more of such mockery/foolery. #Back2Black

Stephen Hill: That style truly only look beautiful on our melanin sisters, because when our sisters do it the real deal.

enlightened: WOW these people have no identity of their own and copy everything we do.

Refined by the Fire: Looks like they gave her a "kitchen" as well.

Donna C.: I remember a few years a ago a puff hairstyle could not be worn was written in a dress code because it was a distraction from a student seeing the board if a child was sitting behind her?

Cren Cottrell: They ALWAYS look ridiculous when they try to imitate us

Gicanda Thomas: That is SICK. That's all I have to say. Remind me NEVER TO BUY ANYTHING FROM SHEIN.

Shannon G: All I can do is laugh...this is hilarious. I've no words for the stupidity.

Yaakova Israel: Damn, we can’t have nothing from these people always trying to ride off of us! I’m so disgusted ‍♀️

Caryl Browngirl: I saw something like that the other day but I was on Pinterests looking for natural hairstyles,

Jj Mcg: "Everybody wanna be a nga but nobody wanna be a nga" - Paul Mooney (RIP).

Minah Poohbear7: That is so dusty. However, our women wear oriental hair out here everyday. So, I'm left speechless. This is just to get our community upset. Just ignore it. We already know what's going on.

Ichinen220: I have nearly purchased clothes from this company and changed my mind. They will never get my $$$

detrmichi: And they aaaaalllllways try to rename the style like they created it!

Marvis Smith: I wonder if SheIn originated in Germany, just like the British royal family.

luvbig41: This is an example of why Nigeria banned foreign models. Imagine seeing these faces all the time modeling clothing designed for and to people who don't look like them ( I am not talking size and shape).

tyrone ashford: Ms. Lisa, I think you said it all concerning, this topic. The commentary was perfect and on point! -Obie Amos.

enlightened: If you are going to do a thing at least do it right. It does not even look good on a WW. She looks foolish with that on her hair. These people are crazy

Dolores Boston: Well remember Bo Derrick in the movie “TEN”? A huge deal was made over her having cornrows. Whereas nothing was said about Cicely Tyson having worn her cornrows for years. Ohh no it’ll be……”if” I offended anyone…

Nunya Bidnezz: Immitation is another form of Flattery but I know a gang of Ladies who Specifically do Hair Modeling that would look better and represent this better.

Denise sansom: They need to stop enough already I will wait for the most high to put things right

A MW: I remember when we couldn’t wear our hair like this in corporate or in class…now this

Theresa Bonds: Shalom Beloved Sis Lisa And Beloved Family Of ISRAEL All Praises Glory To The Most High YAH ❤ .They always stealing from us all the time.

L.P.T: They don’t care who’s rocking the puffs they’re trying to get paid

Linda Venable: What a disgrace!

mylifetotaly: I got my own hair. I wore locks at my SC State job. No more wigs(demonic) for me

Wonders: Lmao!!! This is nuts!! Do they believe placating us with our stuff worn by them or even putting 2-3 of us in a movie will make us say no you keep the kingdom we satisfied with this kind of tomfoolery. Nope TMH coming for y’all and we following him not Babylon’s circus, bread, slaps to prevent the kingdom shakeup.

Daniel Israel: I can't wait until we're back in our homeland,I am so tired of these hypocrites.

LA Hopkins: The sad thing about this is someone will still purchase from this site not realizing that that only reinforces this mindset.

Arkethia Terrell: WS strikes again, when will they learn?

Belinda Wise: They perm their hair for texture, some. of us relax ours to straighten it. I think most women copy styles. It's just that our hair is "ILLEGAL" for " US" to "SHOWCASE". CAUSE NAPPY, KINKY, CURLY, WIREY, KUCKABUGS "GOT IT GOING ON FOR SHOW" HAPPY TO BE NAPPY!!

Wondering Chick🐣: How is it that these people always find a way to become disgusting! I mean really you do not want to even acknowledge the fact that we have fantastic hair that can do just about any and everything but you rather have a white model with a Afro puff to demonstrate and sell your product for you. GTFOH

Marcella Muhammad: It seems like no matter what we do with our hair is always a problem until a white person does it. Let's take braids for example Bo Derek started wearing cornrows in her hair then there was a thing. Whether we where our natural hair or even wrap our natural hair up is still a problem think about it also think about this when we cover our bodies up to be more respectful it's a problem, when we are have naked it's a problem because we're showing our natural figures. Think about it Brothers will go get a nasty and large white woman instead of a beautiful for voluptuous black woman. Think about it HMMM look at that nasty white woman that stars in the show us many black men want her not saying all. Now the large white woman is the wanted more. It's a trip how they want a white woman so badly they will take the worst of him. OJ Simpson's wife was ugly as hell until all that money got her own surgery. Also tiger woods wife was the same way think about it

ThePower OfDefinition: This is Anti-Black offend Marketing, to sell more products and services. Its a strategy for many companies.

Olivia Stone: Well look at the wigs and weaves our people are putting in their own hair so ...I'm not saying I support what shein did but I'm more concerned with my own people not accepting their own hair. These gentiles are going to do what they do best until TMH cracks open the sky so I'm over a lot if this mess they pull. At the end of the day a hairstyle won't make me nor break me.

Hassana S. Benjamin: It would have been sooo worth it if all her hair would have fallen out.

Rhameses Hamilton: I saw it as we spoke up and they had no choice. This generation and the ones after will no longer stay silent.

DMC: Lol that hair truly looks super weird on her head. However, I think this a wake up call and maybe we should start wearing our natural hair more. Stop promoting straight hair in wigs and weaves. Let those who are black with natural straight or curly rock that hair type. We the rest embrace our 4 type hair. It is beautiful and others obviously want to rock it. Because at this point If we say that whyte lady is wrong then we need to rotate that same finger unto ourselves.

Hassana S. Benjamin: I'm so tired of people using our stuff to get rich off of us. Smh.. I'm tired of these gentiles. Period!!

Ishmael Bull: About as disgusting and shameful as the ads and bill boards, plus black people doing such things in African cities promoting skin bleaching.. Smfh.

Farmer Roc The 340 farmer: That mess looks crazy. I would laugh out loud everyone I see it

NaTasha1980ツ: And these very same wypipo come for us sistas for wearing blonde wigs, dying out hair blonde and relaxing our hair saying we're trying to be like them.

Christopher Ross: This is like the story of a white woman who made a claim that she invented a new hair cloth when it was really just a pricey handkerchief you could buy in any store cheap. These people have no shame at all. Oblivious to it!

KLANservative republiKLAN : Ms. Lisa you forgot a third reason. They do it many times to insult you. Often trying to be clandestine in their approach.

Dorothy Branch: I'm having Bo Derek flashbacks.

C.C . I'm: Truly Repent Return t o TMH Stay up B1 Family

Gurlinda Taylor: What goes around comes around,

D S: Why can't those people just leave us the hell alone? Sick of them already

ATLhawksfan!!: And some people will still shop from that website…..

Chris Tucker: The carpet doesn’t match the drapes

Kristen Magee: Hell, they couldn't even jell the hair up right‍♀️! They look so idiotic with that

Nathan Turner: Through out these hard times, the one business doing well in the hood are those hair stores.

Shirley Salone: These hate us so much but it never seems to amaze me how much they want to be us

tspcocktail: Shein is a Chinese company. They make those cheap clothes for cheap. Keep supporting them, keep being disrespected. Now, when is the next sunburn news story Lisa?

Phyllis Birks: Anything for MONEY!!!

maryann harold: It don't even look right on her lmao

Patty Schmidt: Oh hell no!. They 've stolen everything else they can go to hell. We don't need them modeling ish for us or trying to wear our braids either call their azzez out on every suspect thing they do.

Smartana Jones: Well Blk women wear their hair texture (via wigs and weaves ) all day every day so I don’t see a problem with it

DSB: On top of that it doesn't even look good on her like it looks on the sisters

Bruce Beamon: Some of US remember that bo derick woman decades ago wearing those corn rolls !

Felicia Smith: This would make me not buy it

Context Matters: We can't have nothing; Always want to take our "stuff" for free. Mzungus do what mzungus do...

sanchez73 day: She looks ridiculous like one of The Who’s from whosville

Ash M: I would complain but no. Because the same women complaining will still buy hair from these companies.

Wavey Forester: Its the same as them putting on black face to make a mockery while capitalizing on the profits.

Cassandra Stanton: I wouldn’t buy anything from that company!!!

Niemah Ra: If that’s what they are advertising I don’t want to go to their website. I don’t wear wigs. But poorly made cheap looking wigs on a naturally straight haired Caucasian is not something that would cause me to want to start.

Danreael: I’m not shopping there anymore ✌

Slim Pickens: They couldn't do that in Nigeria!
