Washing My Tape-In Extensions At Home Using Olaplex | 4 Week Update | Finessa'S Luxe Hair

Hey Girlsss ! I just wanted to show the process of how I wash my tape-in extensions at home, I've gotten so many questions on how I maintain them so I hope this helps. This is my second time washing my hair since having them in.

I'm wearing 18 inch straight tape-ins from Finessa's luxe hair. I got 2 sets of tape-ins which comes with 80 tapes and only used about 60 tapes in my hair. https://finessasluxehair.com/collectio...

Oh nice, if you want to see how I got my tapings from busted to beautiful and silky right at home, just stay tuned. It'S Vanessa and today is wash day slash maintenance for my tapings. I'Ve had these statements for about four weeks now and I did wash them at week. Two right after week, two I ended up getting really sick, so my hair has just been in a ponytail. I haven't been taking care of them so wash day is a long overdue. So to begin, I'm going to be using olaplex's hair perfector, which is number three in their hair care system. So in the directions it says to apply it to damp hair. So that's what I did. I wet my hair a little and I just applied it to my hair. I tried to avoid the tape line because I don't want any of my tapings to slip out from the product so right after I smoothed that all through my hair, I'm going to be going in with a wide tooth comb and detangling my hair there's times so Once I'm done detangling and combing that product all through my hair, I'm just gon na put my hair up, leave the product in for about 15 minutes and then I'm gon na rinse it out once I rinse out all of the hair perfector out of my hair. I'M going to go in with olaplexus shampoo, which is number four in the hair care system, and I'm just going to begin to lather that into my hair, and I want you guys to really get up in there and really wash your hair get up into that. Scalp, okay, you want to be gentle, but not too gentle. You really want to wash your. You want to get a good lather and wash in to get all that dirt and build up and oil out of your hair. It'S recommended that you use a sulfate free shampoo when you have tapings in because something in the sulfate causes the tapings to slip. The shampoo I'm using the olaplex shampoo, it doesn't have any sulfate, so I have no worries when I'm washing my hair, using this shampoo, I wan na see your body. I did go in and lather my hair with shampoo three times. I didn't show it because, like it's self-explanatory, just lather and rinse, once I rinse my shampoo out, I'm gon na go in with olaflex's hair conditioner number five, when you're putting conditioner in your hair, and you have tapings in you want to make sure that you put The conditioner underneath or below the taping line, so you don't want to get all the way into your scalp because then you'll cause slippage and you don't want that um, the first time I washed my hair, I neglected that so I did have some slippage. The first time I washed but um they didn't actually fall out. They just slipped down a little, so you want to be mindful when putting conditioner in your hair. So after I put my conditioner in, I just go in with my wide tooth comb and I detangle a little so once I am done rinsing out. The conditioner from my hair, I'm gon na, be going in with a hair mask from away, and this one is for fine hair. They also have another formula for thicker hair. So if you have thicker hair, they also have one that you can use and once I'm done putting that in my hair, I'm gon na just detangle a little smooth that out and then I'm gon na leave it in for about 15 minutes before I rinse it Out so now my hair is nice and clean. I'M gon na be spraying some leave-in conditioner, and this leave-in conditioner is from it's a 10. and baby. If you don't have one of these brush blow dryers, you need to go get one today right now, like you, could pause this video and go to Target and come back and finish watching it like you need it that bad okay, like this Cuts blow drying time. Literally in half for me personally, um like opposed to using that brush and and like the blow dryer detached like it's so annoying like this is so convenient and so much easier like highly recommended 10 out of 10. I wouldn't stay wrong. So here is where I'm adding in a few pieces of tape ins, because I really wanted to position the tape in more in my face. I didn't get to do that, the first time that I installed it because I was kind of rushing so this time I just took out um whatever tapings I wanted to fix up and just reinstall them real quick. So after I add in a few pieces, I'm just going to go in with my argan oil and just put that all through my hair and then I'm going to be using my heat protectant from Fantasia. My own hair dry, pretty fast, but the actual hair extensions took a lot longer to dry, so I'm just making sure all my hair is all the way dry all the way at the root before I apply any flat iron heat to it. So here I'm just going over like that top leave out area and then I'm just going to be going over the hair throughout. I don't want to flatten my hair too too bone straight, because I want to go for like a natural, like blowout kind of look slime baby like it is giving like y'all. I don't think y'all understand like the relationship I have with tapings like I freaking love tapings. They feel so natural they're, so lightweight like they match. My texture, like I just I'm in love and also these tables are from my hair collection. Vanessa'S looks hair I'll. Have them linked below? Thank you guys so much for watching, and I will talk to you guys in the next video bye free up.

OLAPLEX: Thanks for including us in your wash day! ❤❤❤
