Hey lovies, it's your girl, rachel. Some call me ray ray while others just do a plain old wraith, whichever is acceptable on this channel. So, ladies, if you're looking for some mini braids and you're new to this content, go ahead and subscribe, because this video will definitely deliver also i'm coming with the best kept tips for having an exceptional protective hairstyle that will last longer than expected. So for this look i'm going to use the murray's edge wax for them roots, i'm also going to use the curl stretch pudding from shea moisture for the rest of my hair, a denim brush, a rat tail comb, some clips and some snacks also a mirror. Now that we have all our essentials last but not least, length check dance. So, ladies, let's get parted, i mean, let's get started, see what i did right there the play on words, though it's the play on words. So what i like to do is part my hair straight down the middle, have two sections on the side and actually three sections in the back: we're gon na be done in nothing but a snap, a snap actually, no we're not because this is one of the Most tedious parts of making knotless box braids of any kind, not this box, braids many box, braids mini braids, many twists anything that involves the box will test your faith in yourself, so make sure that if you're not good at parting, you do this section beforehand, so That you just have to pull down and braid each piece. So, as you can see at the very bottom, i decided to make a very big section that starts at the ears and make three parts which will be my three first rows. I like to do it this way, so i can know what done will feel like how many more rows i have until i'm done with the back section, because when you're in the back of your head, i swear it's a tundra. Your arms are tired, but we're going to get through this. So let's get my little thirsty fingers into this shea moistures curl stretch pudding, it's a little bit more of a shea whipped butter type of thing, so it's going to help seal in all those flyaways, but it does have a little bit of moisture to it as Well, so it's going to help moisturize, but if you have hair that has very high porosity and do you believe that adding this the first step will make your curls revert a little too fast. I would skip this step all together and add the moisture and the products at the very end. So now that i have my little section, i'm going to go ahead and start braiding, my first braid, but as i was braiding, i took a look at the thinness of this particular braid and i had to consider like wow you're, really getting ready to do this. With your whole entire head, are you sure, do you really want to do it three braids in okay, maybe but honey? I don't know. Is it worth it now we're on to the second row: it's been pre-parted um. The first section was a little bit unsure, but now that i'm doing this one, i'm like okay, the hair is thicker up here the braids are going to get bigger. It might not be that big of an issue and also, i would like to add that the murray's edge wax makes parts that are not super straight. Look straighter so go get you some as i'm starting this second row, i'm noticing that it's a little bit easier than the first row, because i have a little bit more guidance with how i want to part my hair throughout each braid. I'Ve added the product before and after each braid you can decide either or what you want to do and then i start braiding down the second braid in the third row. So in this first row, there's about four rows all together and it took me about. Let me see my phone and be nosy. 6. 20.. Well, wait! No! That'S! 5. 20! So it took me an hour and 20 minutes to finish these braids. I don't know, but that's kind of impressive right now, i'm just taking a little break. Make sure you have your candy and your snacks and bless the lord and eat a little bit of protein, because you're gon na need that energy to finish the rest of these braids. So your girl was craving some chicken and i swear publix chicken is so underrated, but anywho, let's get back to the video. I am on my second section and within this section there's about three rows total. So you know how many braids you're gon na have to do just about. You know how many rows you're gon na need to do so. You can determine when you'll be finished. I actually was really happy about the fact that it only took me an hour and a half to do what was pretty much like four whole rows. So at this point i'm like look, these braids are gon na get done and i'm gon na enjoy. The finished result, so my second section is all done and i'm at that final top piece section and i got just a few braids to go. Look i finished the back. I thought it would never happen, but god, okay, i had to shout a little bit praise the lord and praise these little baby guns for helping me get through the back of my head, so the parts are not extremely straight, but so what i'm done and um? I'M loving it, it looks very, very clean and fresh and now it's time to start the front, and this is the home stretch. So we just have the front section to go and it is a lot easier, but still a little tedious. So i went ahead and did that first section and now i'm on the second section and approaching done honey. So i slightly tilted up each row so that i could have a nice triangle v shape at the top and look at that look at that. I am done this is my last braid i was so happy. I could not believe i was at the last braid i i just was at a loss for words. So um, i'm just writing it down. As you can see, it looks very crisp very fresh, like as if a robot did it so um. The most important step to having beautiful, flowy mini braids is to wet them. When you're done get that spray bottle, it's really going to make a difference with how your hair moves and it's going to help the braid swell a little bit to give you some volume. So i like to take this product and put it at the ends of my hair, i'm so happy. I bought it. It'S perfect in every way. It'S thick enough, it's moisturizing enough and it defines the curls enough. So, as you can see, i'm just going to rake that product through my hair and as my curls begin to pop and revert a little bit, i'm going to wait for a second before i twist the ends up. This is going to give me a very nice bohemian look at the end, so it's the next day and congratulations! You don't have to do your hair today, but if you would like to refresh your mini braids anytime, just add a little bit of water to the braids and add some of that curl pudding to the very ends of your hair to bounce the curls. This is going to be the best protective hairstyle you ever put in your hair because you can add as much moisture as you want, without compromising the look and how long your hair would last that's why i love braiding and twisting my hair on dry stretched hair. The length is so much longer and it just gives you so much more wear time so right now, i'm feeling myself. My makeup is all done and i'm getting ready to take some pictures. I'M loving my hair. It took me forever, but i'm gon na get every single hour back every day that i wake up and don't have to do my hair, so love. Thank you. PurdyNapps: Box braids are everything to me! It’s now my daily style. They give me the swing of straightened hair without the heat damage! And I don’t have to comb my hair!!! Still look fly and it’s all my hair! And for those who cannot braid well like me, go to a stylist! It’s worth every penny! I admire your braiding skills! Your hair looks beautiful!

UTubeuzername: Simply gorgeous, I wish I had the patience. I can’t believe you were able to do this in only 6.5 hrs. This shit would have taken me 2 days.

Mini: Girl your parting skills is amazing!

Breon Scott: You motivated me to do this style. Started at 2pm and I am literally finishing the last braid (it’s 10:10pm) Just stopped to say thank you!

Princess: Cannot wait until my braids get to this length! I love mini braids and mini twists and just did my mini braids and plan to keep them for 3 months, yes 3..washing and rebraiding as needed

She-Earl: I love how mini braids look but I'm never putting myself through that again. The take down is the worst

Melanie: OMG, totally gorgeous!! My hair is way too skinny and scalpy for this tho. My "big" braids are the size of her tiny braids. Haha

Tashina: Thanks for the tips! Tried this style and my hair looks amazing!!!!! Thank you!

Natural Healer Mom: So detailed and beautifully done!! They look perfect!

Laureen Djanga: Beautiful! You did such an amazing job. It's so clean, neat and elegant

Hair’s The Scoop: You’ve got skills! I’ve never tried mini braids and I can wait to try this out this week!

Patrice Davis: Love this style ❤️ Excited to try this look and the tips shared

Jo Anderson: Hello Rachel, it’s my first time watching your video. You really cheered me up and made me laugh so much. You look so gorgeous and so does your hairstyle. God Bless

Princess: YOU. ARE. GORGEOUS. QUEEN!!! I LOVE mini braids and always add beads to my ends because I love the way it looks. Mini braids last me 4-6 weeks as I wash and deep condition while keeping them in! Love the manageability and that I don’t have to worry about my hair for a while and it grows too lol

Shelley: Love this video, very inspiring and your hair looks amazing!

Sharee Minor: I've watched this over and over to see how much time I have until I reach this length. I think another year: 6 inches. I'll be happier with the length next Spring. Almost time to tuck it away and hibernate. Thanks for the video!

Melita Ingram: Wow these look so good I thought they were knotless box braids!

Kameron York: Beautiful! But beware if you get a lot of shrinkage DO NOT spray water it will shrink your braids. They will swell and have body naturally. The cream is great to use and it curls the ends naturally. I wear this style all the time as a back up hairstyle. And using edge control on the shaft of each braid, makes them stay neater longer.

Tami: You inspire me to braid my hair like this and rock my protective styles. Looks soo good ! Thank you

Shay Childers: What a gorgeous job!! You r funny sunny and beautiful!! I loved every minute of this!! I wish u could braid mine girl!!!!

J: Gorgeous! How long do your mini braids last? And what did you do to stretch your hair before installing the mini braids?

Tylyn Sutton: I just finished mine day before yesterday with no breaks and it took me 5 hrs and 30 minutes lol this is beautiful I might have to do this on blown out stretched hair

Natural Introvert: Lord, give me the strength to do this...these are beautiful!

ukcurlygrl1: I do those once a month. When I blow dry my hair put to stretch it I will leave the ends so they are not blown straight or stretched as much as the rest. That way when I braid and I add product the curls pop on the end of the hair and less frizz

Prophetess Lady Of Wisdom: Gosh, at this point. I just need to give you my address so that you can mail me some of your patience. Lol. I make my braids a lot bigger cause my patience is very limited. Anyways, your braids are and your hair is extremely long and pretty. ❤

Beverly White: I love your hair! And think of the money you saved by braiding it yourself.

HairByPierre: Lol girl you’re funny I like your sense of humor. I’m gonna do this next! I like the way you part the front. How long does this last before it gets frizzy?

loverainthunder: I love your hair so much!! I'm going to do this with my hair, love it! Beautiful!!

d a: your hair is GORGEOUSSS, loved this style on you, God bless you and stay safe

Erica Smith, MBA: Stunning results. Gorgeous :)

NYMahogany: How am I just now finding a vid by you? Gorgeous results..Im thinking of doing this on my daughter tonight....Lawd give me strength! She has sooooo much hair. New Subbie!

Crystal Paige: It turned out beautifully!

Hannah: Wow, looks good! How long do I have to keep the braids in before redoing them? Should I keep them in for 1 month at a time, take them down, have 1 week's rest from braids and redo them again? I have extremely thick Afro hair and my hair gets frizzy after less than an hour lol Will my hair still retain length and grow alot if I do it like that? My hair takes like 10 hours to braid which I do myself and it's twice as long to take out which is exhausting Thank you so much
