I Do My Own Tape In Extensions At Home

Hi friends! glad to be back! new video every Wednesday

Hi, hello, i am so glad uh to be welcoming y'all back to last looks come along with me um. If you are new here hello, i highly doubt it um, i'm not uploaded. In a couple of weeks. Uh i've just been feeling really weird just about everything. In general, but also like about being on camera, so we had to do some getting over that kind of stuff. I'M back, i feel good um, oh, my goodness, my real hair was glued to my eyelash. That'S not fun um, but also, if you've been here for a while. I would like to officially welcome y'all back to the red room uh. This is my office. Slash dressing room, slash, uh, vampire, labor, laver, vampire, lair, safe haven is the next thing that i was gon na say, which is where the v came from, but uh yeah. We are back in here after some redecorating and whatnot uh and i am very excited. It'S still not together the gallery. Wall'S done everything in front of me, disaster um, but that's not what today's video is about. Today'S video is about uh, hair extensions. This is my natural hair um. I don't have very much of it. Uh i used to have a lot of it. Then i decided to go blonde after not bleaching, my hair for like three years, and i completely fried it off and now all the underneath of my hair is shaved off um. But that also is not what this video is about, because even before i am a long-haired girl, uh, not naturally, i've never had long hair ever in my life um. But i love the look of long hair extra long, hair super long, hair um, and i get to achieve that by better, oh tape and extensions. So the first thing you want to do is uh, wash your hair you're going to want to not put any sort of conditioning products in it, which is very difficult for me. Uh, considering my hair is kind of damaged. Now it makes me sad to feel how it feels with no conditioning products in so i'll. Give you my little tip and trick. If you are a normal person, you could probably just take a shower wash your hair not put any conditioner or oil or detangler or whatever in it dry. It be done. However, me every single time i wash my hair, i wash it with two different shampoos and a conditioner and a deep conditioner. So what i did was um normally i will start with my clarifying shampoo. Then i will go to um the deep conditioner and then i will go to a bond building shampoo and then my bond building, conditioner and i'll be done. This time i started with my uh bond building shampoo. Then i did the deep conditioner and then i went uh straight into clarifying shampoo so that i could be all like as clarified as possible and all that conditioner was gone, but my hair did get the benefit of it before i washed it. So i think that that really did uh um mitigate some of the disaster of uh, not conditioning my hair and usually i'll also do like hair oils and detanglers before drying. Didn'T do any of that either. So we are all sucked dry of moisture and that's so that the glue sticks nicely then what you'll need is a straightener. I mean i guess this is optional, but i've never not done this, because why? Wouldn'T you i mean, i guess heat damage, but this helps to melt the glue, um and then also uh, something to hold your hair up. I have a scrunchie, you could use a clip, whatevs whatevs and then you'll need your extensions. These are from amazon, oh, they are google hair. They are 24 inches in. I think chocolate brown look at them. Oh my gosh, i'm so excited uh. I will link these below um they're, the only ones i have ever used. I don't have like any like other ones, that i've tried. So i guess these are my preference, but these are also just like. I bought them off of amazon reviews and they work great. I start with the bottom of my head and i do sections like i'm like flat ironing my hair um. So this is how much i just pulled out not much at all, but you don't really need much hair. This is probably i mean that's how thick this section is. You don't need a ton of hair to hold it on so um. That is where i will start um and then sorry, it's been a while, since i filmed i'm a little weird on camera right now, um i will start with one where i would normally start and then i'll show you guys one up top. So you can see a little bit better um, but anyway, what you want to do is grab one of your extensions and, if you don't know the way that these go on, is they sandwich your hair. So each one piece of extension is two pieces sandwiched together. So these are the pieces with their tapes on them. They will go like this on your hair, um and the traditional way. I want to go too far into it, but uh is to pick up a piece of hair with like just this tiniest little row of hair with a like a rat tail comb and then put it under and then sandwich it over. What i am going to do, i'm going to take the extension, find the root of my hair. Go slightly beneath it and uh stick the extension to my hair right here. Stick it down real good and then what i'm gon na do is lift that up off of my hair and take off the hair that didn't attach to it so like when you stuck it down, it is going to grab the perfectly right amount, the perfect! What am i saying it's going to grab the exact amount of hair that it needs um and then i'm going to lift it up with all of the hair. That'S stuck to it and then i'm going to take my next one and i'm going to take this one in a more upside down manner, and i will find the edges of that tape and match them up then i'll squeeze them together, nice and then i take My straightener and i just clamp down on that glue for a couple of seconds until it does the steamy steamy thing, and then i very quickly smoosh it back together, careful you will burn your hand and then there is my first extension done. Let'S do one up on the top of the head before we switch to uh speedy, speedy mode um to get likes really straight partings, because if your part isn't straight, it won't connect nicely and also um. You might get some of your hair stuck in two and that will pull for the whole six weeks that you have these and it will suck uh. Take it from me. So that's a nice straight part and then i will just do the same thing. But in a more visible spot, so you can see so taking the tape off. Try not to touch it with your fingers, like the sticky part, but i i always do because i like always end up needing to and then i put it just right under the root. You don't want to put it right on the root, because then it will be too tight and it will hurt um. So you want to make sure you go under the root by what is that a couple millimeters like it starts here. There we go and then, when you pull it up, the hairs that are coming up with it are the hairs that need to come up with it. So you just bring it up with it and that's what that looks like on the underside, with all the hair that it just pulled up and i grab another and then this one again hold like upside down, because you're going to want to match it with this. Guy and then find the edges of the tape with your thumbs right there squish it in bring it down there. She is squish it in and then take your straightener and squish it until you hear that sizzle or at least that's what i do to make sure the glue is melted, then squish it together, but don't touch it like real hard squish. It together fast and don't burn yourself all right there. We are now i'm just gon na. I think turn on some tv and get cracking, and you can watch me for a little while, let's get going all right, i absolutely did not have the energy in the brain space to style all this hair. So what i did for the reveal was, you know, put some earrings in uh, so i looked more uh done, but this is all my new hair uh. Usually i would cut and layer it, but i'm actually feeling the more i mean. Obviously, it's not blunt because it's not the right length for my hair, but like the less layered really thick um moment, i could layer it a couple of days if i don't like it, but look how i mean i'm gon na have to stand well now. I'M too tall look how long it is. It goes to my hips, so that's really fun um! I love it. I just feel so good and i do love the all brown moment anyway. Um. I just wanted to do this as like a short little uh video to get back into things, and i hope that you all enjoyed it and i hope that it was uh slightly helpful.
