Hey guys welcome to my hair extensions video. I am excited to share this video with you. I haven't meaning to make it for a really long time, as you can tell my hair's a little crazy right now. I wanted to talk about first and foremost, why people get extensions and what type of extension options they are out there. I recently have the tape and extensions, so my extensions look like this: they take one hair and they weave through your other hair and then they tape it between so they kind of sandwich your hair with the tape. I have had the braided extensions, where you break them and weave them in just completes your hair. I have had the beaded extensions, the babe, hair, beaded extensions, and these and now these are the tape and extensions. I personally think that the tape and extensions are kind of work better with my life. I love because I have very fine hair. I have a lot of it, but I have very fine hair and so with the beads, they were harder to hight. In my fine hair - and they didn't lay as flat as the tape the tape literally, you cannot seal them because they lay flat against your head. So therefore, it's made it easier for me to be able to pull my hair when I go to the gym or when you just want to wear your hair up, I have really loved them after you get them one thing with extensions: if you do that, much Work on your head with a braid you're gon na be pulling it. The hair with beads gon na be pulling the hair looping a bead clamping. It you're gon na get a headache in your heads going to be sorting with the tape ins I didn't have after they were in. I didn't have any headaches, you can sleep on them. You can't feel any difference. There'S nothing digging into your head, and so some of you out there already have beautiful long hair. The point of getting extensions in the bottom could just be to make your hair look thicker. You could add a little bit more length for me personally. You guys some of us says well, why did you cut your hair if you were just gon na click? Extensions in I wanted to cut my hair because it was kind of point where it's like Carly your hair is. We need to cut it, so I told Kaylee s then just cut it off cut it off. So let's get it healthy. The great thing with hair is it's just hair. It grows back. You can color it. You can cut it. You can add length to it. It'S a fun way to change up your look without committing to a whole lot and with me I have gone through dramatic hair changes in the past year. If you guys will remember a year ago insert the picture here. I had really dark hair. We did the ombre look with the red on top and the bottom, and then six months later I got bangs straight bangs insert picture here and then six months or not even six months after that, four months after that, we cut all my hair off to my Chin for me, it's just about changing up my look and having fun with it and not getting too serious about it. My hair is kind of crazy because I slept with it last night up and a bun, oh because you don't ever want to just sleep on your extensions just down. Some of you are probably crazy, scoopers and you move around. It'S gon na move the tape and kind of play with this. So you don't want to do that. You either want to braid it nice and tightly to the side or pull it. I think the braid is probably safer and healthier on your hair, so yeah braid your hair at night um. I just used this. I use this pulling area my whole life. It is just a con air curling iron. I think it's 1 in 1/4 inch. It'S about this big around with me personally, my hair curls really easily, so I don't have to buy an expensive curling iron to get it to work. The point of buying a more expensive curling iron is so that it can get to a higher heat. It has better ceramics with the metal etc, but for me, I'm really lucky, because my hair curls super easy. So I just start with my first layer of extensions down here and I pull the rest up and put it in a bun and we start curling. I start curling from the bottom started from the bottom now we're here. One thing I talked about is this: is a base brush BA? I don't know if it's bath or vim just don't make what I mean fast brush Vass. If you guys can see those bristles they're metal, they feel amazing on your scalp and you can comb right over your extensions and get to your scalp. So you're not feeling like your scalp is being neglected. That'S one thing with the braids and the beads: it was really hard for me to comb through my hair, and so you start getting cradle cap because you're, not you, know actually or you're, not stimulating your scalp. So, with one thing that I've loved with these tapings is you can brush right over the tape? This will skip over the tape and it gets to your scalp. So I just take a fourth section of hair and I always start at the top of my hair and I roll it up and then I just kind of work. My way down the hair, I really focus on holding the curling iron kind of a little bit longer over that part where my natural hair ends and the extension starts, so that it really blends into the extension. And you can't see that difference of my hair and then the extension and then I just kind of towards the end of the hair. I just kind of keep the clamp open and just pull it down like that, and then I always twirl my finger around the curl and let it hang so. I work around my head doing those curls the same way, starting halfway rolling it up, and I curl every I curl on this side towards the back and then on this side. I'Ll show you I do something a little bit different. Okay. So for this side I curl it the curling iron going backwards on this side. You don't want all your curls going in the same direction. It just makes your look look, really heavy, and so on this side I take my hair with some of the extension and I actually curl backwards. So I take the rod and instead of curling it forwards. I take the clamp this way and I roll it back that way. It gives your curls in your hair dimension and it gives you a lot of depth and your curls, so they're, not all hanging toward your face, giving it a really heavier look. So I didn't know if I talked about the brush too quickly make sure you invest in a really good brush with extensions. It'S really important that you don't want to mess with where the extension lays and that brushes can do that. So, with these bristles, they don't have any of those balls on the end of other brushes would have like this one. This one has a lot of blonde hair going on this. One has the bristles that those little balls at the end of your brush will actually catch on your extension, so make sure you invest in a good extension brush. It'S worth investment, this one was $ 12 and this is the genuine bass breath. So then, I start on my second layer of hair. I have 20 inch hair in right now and I have five not. I have purchased five boxes, but we only put in four and a half something. That'S nice, when you do get extensions, is to always buy a box more that way. If something happens to one of your extensions that falls out and you lose it, you always have hair that you can count on with the maintenance. It'S really important that you keep up with when you're supposed to move your hair up, because, as your hair grows out with the tape, your tape lays right against your roof. So as that grows out, it's gon na give you length from hair from roots, to hair, to tape, to hair, and that's just going to be easier for you to get tangled and brushing and pulling it up. It'S not as easy to hide the tape. So I've gone about UNM's five weeks almost six weeks and I am due to go get my hair moved up. This is trying to record five minutes of me styling these curls and little did. I know that the camera stopped working so hopefully it will keep working through this okay. So after you guys curl all through your hair, you want to tame your curls, something with extension hair because I don't know why. But sometimes a curls can get a little tight and crazy. So to help your natural hair blend with your extensions and to kind of calm the curls down, you want to kind of finger tease at your curls. I start at my top of my head and I just kind of comb down through the curls and kind of just help them relax a little bit so that they can. So it can help my natural hair blend with the extensions and so that the curls can take a chill pill. Something I love about this brush is you can brush your scalp with it and through your extensions, and it is not going to pull your symptoms out, but you get to brush your hair and you get a feel that feeling of the brush brushing your scalps, so Invest in your brush, if you don't have an extension brush super worth the money, twelve bucks off that much and that's a great brush. Next we've talked about sulfate sulfate free products when it comes to tape and extension are huge on something that we hear. A lot are sulfate free, shampoo conditioner, since we use so many chemicals on our daily hygiene routines. It'S really important that we start to understand why and today I'm like what is the thing? What does it even mean, and why can I use it? So basically, I looked it up and what I found is filthy is kind of like a sulfuric. That'S like an acid. Basically, it's gon na help your shampoos and your soaps gives it that thick lather textures that helps your shampoo really lather up. So when you're using sulfate, free, shampoo or conditioner you're gon na notice that you're cleaning - you know when you scrub your head, that your shampoo is gon na, isn't gon na get that big foamy lather retexture, which is a good thing, because the sulfate will strip the Bond of your tape and it will pull out your extensions, and so you have to invest in sulfate, free, shampoo and conditioner. These are the ones I have been using. This is the biologics a fiber strong line, and I love it. It smells great it's great for your hair. You can tell the texture it's very thick, so you don't have to use a lot. Extensions are not. This is a great line of shampoo conditioner for you to invest in make sure when you're using your conditioner, you always start at the ends of your hair and then work your way up that way. You'Re not pelting your head and your scalp with a thick creamy conditioner, which is gon na, make your hair look crazy, so shampoo and conditioner. I recommend it. It'S amazing. You should get it after. I get out of the shower in my hair. If it's a little bit tingly, I use this believing conditioner. This is the soy. Try, wheat, leave-in, conditioner, buy healthy sexy hair. This stuff is amazing. I only need a couple sprays. It goes a really long way helps the hair from drying up super super awesome product. If you don't have extensions again, this is a great product for anybody else and lastly, is my Moroccan oil. This little beauty is a gem and it really helps on day 3, when you haven't washed at your ends, up being a little bit dry or hair. Just being crazy, it needs to be tamed. This is a great styling product. If you have lighter hair like I do you need to get the light rock, because when you put it on, you can tell that it's kind of yellowy orange color, and this is the light. So if you have a blonde, if you have launder hair, you want to get the light formula. Tensions are gon na absorb that oil and you will notice that that your hair will start turning like a yellowy orange color, so make sure you get the light formula. Only use a tiny bit work it through your ends, first and then kind of comb through your hair. If you have those flyaways on top just kind of smooth them down and use that oil to help style that hair, it's gon na really help prolong the life of your extensions. It'S gon na protect and seal in some moisture and I just make sure hair look pretty. Lastly, is my favorite product and you know what the best thing about it is it's a drugstore product, this suave dry shampoo, is amazing and, like I said it's a drugstore product so who could not love that and lastly, it's for all hair types and not just Blondes, so it's not gon na make your roots really white. I have been loving this. It goes a long way. It'S gon na refresh your hair, extend your blowout and it's gon na give you volume and it smells awesome. Have you guys ever used Clinique happy? That'S what it I swear, that's what it smells like so day, three day, four, I'm not washing! You want to pull your hair up, but it looks greasy in here or on your roots. Who'Ve been sleeping on your hair. This little guy is gon na. Extend your hair life and you're, not gon na, have to wash her hair if you're in a quick hurry and you're like shooing, you off my hair looks crazy. This product is your go-to spray and then just kind of finger to use it with your fingers and it's gon na amp up your boss, so that, in the back of your hair, it's gon na help. Your lay flat. Sometimes I like to flip my head over and just kind of figure out the bottom shake it out, shake it out. If you have sensitive noses. I think that's the only negative thing with this, but it makes your hair smells good. So if you've gone four or five days, it's not washing your hair, it's a good product hair. So we've talked about your brushes, your shampoo and conditioner oils and leaving conditioner and dry shampoo and our culinary Conair. I love this and 1/4 inch if you're on a budget, and you can't get all of these the things I would recommend that you have to have our brush and it really good, shampoo and conditioner. So again, the extension, it's just fun fun to change up the look fun to try something new if you guys have any questions, leave them in the comments below please like share subscribe, and the best way to reach me is to tweet me. So I love you thanks for stopping by and we'll see you next time. I know that's my name.

Natasha Indra Art: Although I know I'll never be using extensions, I still clicked on this because I know it's lighthearted and I love the way you talk like a typical girl! I'm having a pretty heavy day and a video like this is exactly what I need to let my mind go to moosh to!

Tiffany Alex: I have moroccan oil and its amazing. I wouldn't survive without it

Jennybean: The ending hahaha. Love you Carlie. Some days I wish I could go 4 or 5 days without washing my hair but unfortunately I can only go one. It gets greasy way too quick.

AMessofPickles: Oh my gosh I'll be trying out those curls very soon! They look so awesome and natural :D Great video Carlie!

saby91313: CARLIE! you are my inspiration to be an independent, healthy woman! Thank you for your very helpful videos!

Courtnie Almony: Hi Carlie! I am so glad to see that you use good products on your hair! Especially shampoo! So many girls on here preach about their hair, but they are using not so good products for it! My favorites are the soy wheat leave-in conditioner and the Biolage products. Smells good and does good! I just bought clip in extensions because they work for my lifestyle, but I have to say you look incredible with the tape-ins!! Those probably work better for an active girl like you! Stay pretty :) Hugs!

Amy Pilkington: Your hair looks amazing! so natural, and this video was so helpful, Thank you! xxxx

itzalljustBS: I do girl! By the way, love the extensions, & all your hairstyles, you're always looking so beautiful! Congrats on your new baby nephew! <3

golden_ra: These are the kind of videos I think you're the BEST at making. Thanks for sharing your hair and beauty wisdom with us. :) I love changing up my look, too. I think it's great that you have had so many different hairstyles.

Clare Cluff: I have the same thing as you Carlie. I have fine hair but a lot of it. Good to know there is a viable option for people like us. Awesome video! xoxo

Michelle E: Love you Carlie, you're such an amazing person. I love watching your videos :) I have super long hair so won't be using extensions but I will definitely try the curls xxxxx

tarynb84: Hi, great video! I just got tape ins yesterday, I have very similar hair to you. They still feel a little tight which the lady said they would, did you notice this? Also did you get any damage from them? I work out a lot so I will be needing to wash my hair about 5x a week which I heard wasn't as good for the bond. How often do you wash?

Fashion Daily: I used glam seamless tape in hair!! Amazing! Love them! Great review.

Kim Love: Great video! I was wondering if you could put a list in the description of where you got all your products? I want them all! :) Thanks Carlie! <3

CandaceMarie: Oh my gosh the ending, hahahah. You're hilarious, Carlie!! :) Love your little saying too, "best way to reach me is to tweet me!" Always love your vids. <3 Stay smiling & beautiful, babe! xo

fцику мцику: you're right, of course, and i agree - to some extent. self-appreciation is very important, but how much of yourself you appreciate also depends on how much others appreciate you, be they male or female. that's just the way things go.

CarlieStylez: NO! TRUST ME! I literally had this happen to me. My first round of extensions started turning a yellow orange and it was because I was not using the "LIGHT" formula. PROMISE!

Amanda K: I love the short hair on Carlie! But long looks beautiful too :)

Laurie B: Thanks for the review! I love my clip ins but they make my head itch like crazy! (Suspect an allergy) I really wanna try these next time!

Becky H: Carlie you should try the bellami hair extensions! they're absolutely amazing!

MJ Smith: +CarleyStylz Thank you so much. Love this video, and the info on the products you use. Very informative

Lindsay Louise: Actually, it is lighter in colour. My hair dresser showed me the difference when I was a platinum blonde and it's made for lighter hair colours. If light blondes use this, it can add a yellow/orange stain to your hair where you apply it.

Barbara Roberts: i remember when you had the bead extensions, was it when you were living with the shaytards? crazy, these look so good, you cant even tell!! i need to try these! and my hair dresser just recommended that shampoo to me, now i definitely need to go out and try it!

Jennifer Morrison: This may have been posted two years ago but this is the best hair extension video I have watched on YouTube! Thank you so much for posting!!

sophie coombs: this helps so much! where do you buy your extensions from and also do you then get them put in at the hairdressers? x

kimberley dunn: Im loving more videos of you and I would love tape in extensions my hair in so thin and has no volumn and when I curl it few minutes after my hair goes flat again specially when I step outside guess I will have to wait when I can afford them lol xx great video thank you and ur hair looks amazing xx

Kim RC: Your hair looks lovely, very natural. If it hadn't suddenly got long I wouldn't have known it was an extension at all. I love Moroccan oil, works so well on my silly frizzy wavy hair.

Na'ima Bradbury: Wow! I didn't think you had extensions in! They're really nice on you Carlie, super natural! Good job!

G&R: Hi Carlie, when you get them moved up every few weeks do you have to leave them out for a few days because of the oily solution they use to loosen them or can you have them put right back in the same day?

TNMommaGirl: LOL the ending was so awesome. I literally laughed out loud! your hair looks great and that's an awesome way to itch your nose, I'll def have to remember that next time :) xoxox

AdrianaBabyTS: I am a hairdresser and have been wearing tape in hair extensions for two years nite I love them and have had no issues with them. No hair lose or traction alopecia. Please seek professional help with installation and removal.

Gaby S-t: Carlie I used to have super thick long hair and about 2 years ago it just started to fall out (especially in the shower after I conditioned) Now I have very thin hair and my parting looks like a bald patch. Is there anything I can do or get that's going to help my hair grow healthier and thicker? Thankiess x

emily raymond: I've been looking for a sulfate free shampoo! definitely going to try those!

shelbyandbrandon: Love the video. I been wanting extensions and now i know these are best. Tysm girl

Leah Ruff: This video helped me so much! I have a layered Bob hair cut and I've had all kinds of extensions before but not with hair as short as mine right now so I can not decide for the life of me what to do because I want them so bad I just don't know if people are going to think it's weird that I have them (I'm junior on HS) or it just won't look right with my hair. My hair is the same type as yours let me know your opinion, would it be weird to go into my junior year with hair like yours when the year before I had a Bob cut?

MINECRAFTIS YOLO: I love it the same thing happened to me. My hair looked so, Weird, and Crazy

Leanna Ravenhill: Don't give away TOO many of your "how to be gorgeous" secrets, Carlie ! Wonder Woman has a mysterious side to her ... :)

CarlieStylez: It always depends on how much the salon charges off of the purchases. I paid $125 a box and I ended up getting 4 boxes of hair. Then there is the initial put in fee for teh hair. Like I said it all depends on the salon but it's totally worth it! XO

Gabby: That's a great thing to say, and you worded everything so well! You sound like a super awesome guy... but sometimes it just takes accepting a girl who wears extensions. Maybe give her a lot of positive feedback and make her feel good and she might start feeling like she doesn't even need them. But sometimes girls just like to add a little change without making a permanent decision. It's just hair, not plastic surgery.

chachaluv7: Love ur hair! And I really want extensions! Don't know when or if I'll get them ever, but if I do I'll remember to come back to this video. It's quite informative! :p

Maddie: This went from comparing different extensions to a hair curling tutorial to extension hair care hahah

polohorse315: Your video is called tape hair extentions review so why didn't you tell us the most important thing we want to know, like how long do they last? And how much does it cost ? The title of this video should say tutorial CUZ your curling it

Glam Seamless: Tape in extensions are the best! I love glam seamless tape in hair extensions

lyrics123: Can you still put conditioner in your top roots? I'm confused I've been told lots of different stories, what's the best to not get greasy hair quickly? love you carlie<33!!

Niki Wong: Carlie! I was watching the Shaytard videos and was wondering how did Carlie's hair get so long in such a short period. Hahaha this explains everything~~

Karen Bleach: what brand extentions do you have in your hair?

Chanteda Seng: What brand of tape extensions did you get? I'm in the process of purchasing them but torn between two brands :/

S Ryan: Great video!! Where did you go to get these extensions? Salon? I've been thinking about getting some but I have thinner hair, so these might work! They also make me nervous to get too, because my hair doesn't curl easy and is crazy sometimes, so I can just see my natural hair being crazy then the extensions laying nice lol!!

Cynthia Beneteau: Idk you even had extensions in. I'm just catching up on your videos and I thought your hair just grew back super fast. They look great :-)

Eryn Grace: you are.. legit my inspiration in life. love you!

Caren Collins: Have you tried clip in extensions like Bellami extensions? I've heard great things about that

OliviaRachel: Great Video! did you go to the salon or buy them online? I would really like to try these..you hair looks so pretty!

polohorse315: It was so funny at the BEGINING of this video when u said I want to talk about why people get hair extentions . We all know why we get them.

Rhiannon Moore: If you get a headach from extentions it means their too heavy for your hair and if you have them for too long you can go bold

25starr25: Your extensions look great, I would not have thought they were tape-ins. But I wish you went more in-depth as to cost, application, and even removal - does it damage or pull your natural hair? At my salon they only do the keratin bonded extensions which would cost about $800 sooo I'm looking into other options.

Susanita06: Did you tatoo your eyebrows and eyeline from your eyes? If so, what recomendations you have? Your eyebrows and eyeliner are always so perfect!

Avocadogurl: Carly should have more views :-) hair extensions look great !!

Vanessa M: I love your hair in the first picture you showed, it looked really good on you :)

Daisy Marisela: What is the best tape in hair extensions that don't get nasty after a while?

AmericaTheBeautiful: what brand of tape extensions did you use? Its so scary to buy online so that would be super helpful to know!!

Jasmine Peers: I''m glad you did this...I noticed in the Shaytards how beautiful your hair has been looking!

Nik Orsini: I already bought my extensions from Sally beauty supply. They are Remy 18 inch premium satin strand tape ins. Does anyone know if these are good? They were almost 100 dollars a pack and I got 2. Has anyone used these and can offer any info on them? Please.

Bentefie: Have you got any tips for styling your bangs during the growing out phase?

loveit2289: Love your vids!! You might have already mentioned but how much did your hair cost for your length?

SuperApplejacks13: You're a professional at curling hair :o I can't with those wands. XO

CarlieStylez: I did go to a salon and had them put in professionally. It can be expensive to get them done this way. I have the tape easihair!

Michelle Jarvis: Thanks for the tips! have you tried clip ins?

HeyIts Bre: This video really helped Carlie:) Thanks!

strawberry2233: Yay I've been waiting for this vid :) And I agree with another comment, under arm routine please!

Kay Vee: You look so good with straight cut bangs!!

chavez78900: So beautiful before and still beautiful looking amazing after

xpeacelovefashionx: i hadn't even realised they were extensions, they look really good :-)

ausernameofsorts: Do you always go 4-5 days without washing your hair? I have always felt like I can't because I work out 6 days a week, but I know you work out a lot too. How do you do it?

Kristen Tanner: I love your extensions Carlie! You are beautiful!

Chris Francis: What brand of hair did you use? Love the video!!

ImEllieEvans07: My hair is probably the same length but naturally an every time I curl it it drops instantly an the only way to get decent curls that stay in all day is to plait it the night before

Sara Mitchell: I hate tape ins. I use My Fantasy Hair - they're clip in extensions. They have lasted soooo long. The "coating" doesn't wash off, or whatever it is, Seems like all these extensions get coarse after just one or two washes. It irritates me because after you wash them, you can't return them. But this brand must do something different, they're so much better.

Na'ima Bradbury: AAAH!!! Can't believe you replied back to me! This is so exciting, Thank you!

Shelly McNelly: @Star_☆〜(ゝ。∂) sounds like the extensions haven't been taken out properly, I'm an extensionist, you do get build up of natural shedding as it has nowhere to go! The tape in are the best in my opinion and easiest to take out maybe the person doing them didn't have proper guidance :(

kaseypb: Beautiful Hair miz stylezz!!! (: gonna have to try that suave sry shampoo never tried one b4!

Tara Baucom: I can understand where your coming from but if you watched the video you would have seen how easily Carlie ran her fingers through her hair. She had no snags whats so ever. I've never had extensions but I have considered them a few times when I have decided to go super short with my hair, but like Carlie said it's just hair it will grow out. I do miss my long hair and I have never heard about tape extensions so I'm happy Carlie posted this to spread some word on these.

CarlieStylez: DRY SHAMPOO SAVES LIVES! ALSO i wash it every 3 days!

Brittany Lagarde: just to correct you, the light formula of Moroccan oil isn't because it's a "lighter" color. it's the same color as the original Moroccan oil formula. it's "light" because the formula isn't as heavy as the original Moroccan oil formula on finer/thin hair.

Kaylee Bernard: Where did you purchase the hair extensions?

CarlieStylez: yes and I honestly didn't love \them! They work great for certain situations!

Alex Schultz: What brand of extensions do you use? :)

Sandra Pacheco: Where did u get ur brush From and i love how the extensions look

CarlieStylez: yes! They are amazing. Braid them when you go to the gyM!

CarlieStylez: yay!! The products are awesome to they have changed my hair life!!! Thanks for being here. xo

weissdogg: can you talk about how you put them in? did you do it yourself or go to a salon? also was it expensive/how did you know how many to buy?! I want to try this!! love it and your videos!

lizzylaughsoutloud: Have you ever tried clip in hair extensions?

CarlieStylez: just keeping it real and being honest!

jennifer stewart: Omg Carly I luv ur hair straight it's soooo pretty

Chr is: Where can you get these done? and about how much do they range.. are they as expensive as the individual beaded ones? THANKS!

Lovealot0405: Love your videos <3

Sophia Redmond: Your so beautiful no matter what I love you keep making really helpful videos

lipshmackin: Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the 2nd ingredient in that shampoo... you might wanna re-check that if you're trying to avoid Sulfates. Just saying :)

cleopat139: Can you explain more about the hair extensions? I have been looking forever and recently got a HORRIBLE hair cut and want to look cute for my maternity photos. I went to the website and saw that most say "clip in". Where are the tape ones? How did you do it? Is it easy to do yourself or should you have someone help you?

Ells2K: can we have a normal vlog please ? also I love you so much u are my inspiration and I love seeing you on the shaytards vids also cooper is sooo cute and the best eyes !!!!

Beckie Allen: Carlie, you are beautiful! Love your videos
