Tape In Extensions || How I Tone Them

Hey, what's up guys, it's your girl, sherry here. So in today's video I'm going to be talking tape in extensions, so I have been wanting to try taping extensions for a long time already I mean the only kind of extensions that I tried out was clipping extensions and glue-in extensions, and I absolutely do not recommend And getting glue-in extensions. I think that was like the worst mistake that I did have it in blue in extensions. It literally ripped my hair out, or maybe, if you do get it find somebody who does it really good, but I don't even think houin extensions is a thing now. I think it's more tape and extensions, so that is what I'm going to share with you guys today. So I have this box of tape and extensions, and this is from amazing Beauty. They actually sent this to me to try out. So I'm really excited to put these extensions to the test like I said, I've never tried them before, but I've always wanted to try tape tape in extensions, not necessarily for the length but we'll see like I kind of just want to do to even extensions just To kind of add a little bit more fullness to my hair, because my hair is really thin. I just try to make them look thicker with different products that I use on my hair, but yeah. I basically just want to try it just to add a little bit of volume to my hair and fullness, but we'll see if I do try this and I like how it looks like with the langham probably keep it for a while. But if not, I will cut it just to add some volume to my hair. So let me go ahead and open this up for you guys, so that it's box they gave me two sets of taken extensions. This color is in Beach one. I believe - and I think this is the 14 inch 14 inch Lane, so that's how long it is. I didn't really want extensions too long, because I figured I was gon na cut them anyways, but this thing actually is anything perfect. Like again, I don't really want my hair to be too long and I'm obviously going to be toning. These too much my hair, because clearly did they do not match at all. So I will be toning that in this video too, as well, so I'm not really sure how many tapings come in. I think there's 20 and this one sets all together. There'S 40, I'm not sure exactly how much people usually use for a full head of tape. In my hair is thin, so I'm hoping that this will be enough to kind of give me a little bit of the volume that I need so we'll have to see and play around with that again. So these are in beach wine and they are the 14 inch in length and as well, but they send me in the box. It is a white tooth comb which is perfect. I can never have enough of these things. I also sent some false eyelashes as well. These are the sestina false eyelashes. I don't know if this is mink or not, but I really like the style of those lashes so I'll be wearing these for sure, and they just kind of sent me just some extra tape ins as well. Just in case, I need to reuse them again, take them off and then just actually tape, but they didn't send enough for all 43 pieces 40 West without what you called it. But you know at least I have some of these. If anything, I'm gon na wait order more tape, pins and you know just a little thank-you card as well. So that is basically what they sent me and extension, because that I'm really excited to try this. So I'm just gon na kind of read what it says behind here, because I've never tried two things before so haircare instructions. Please keep your hair extensions, clean and untangled by taking time to care for them every day. Do not comb or brush the hair extensions, while hair is wet when working out with hair extensions or swimming with hair extensions be sure to remove excess, sweat and chlorine after a workout? That might be one of the biggest issues for me because I always work out and I sweat like crazy guys and might sound gross. But I sweat a lot when I work out when using hot tools be sure to use a heat protectant spray. The more you use heat on your hair, the shorter lifespan of the hair extensions when using serums or oils avoid contact with the tape use on mid lengths to end only we use natural products, such as coconut oil and an end of extensions to keep the hair Healthy shiny and shiny over time, permanent hair extension should always be installed by an experienced professional, but in this case I'm not professional and if you guys hold me for a long time, you know that already I've always stayed in most. My video is that I'm not professional, but I am working on in the future to become a hair. Professional are 100 % average and human hair and yeah they are free to to color, because I do get to tone them with that said that I'm gon na go ahead and start talking these guys and I'm gon na just share with you guys how I'm gon Na go with the process of putting them to match my hair, okay guys. So these are my tape and extensions over here. These are again the 14 inch in length and in the shade beach blonde, and here they are out of the package, just kind of showing you what they look like up close and how long they are. It'S not that long but, like I said I didn't really want it too long. The supplies I'm going to be using are some bowls and some brushes and some gloves to protect my hands and I'm going to be using the ion color brilliance shade in light charcoal for the roots and for the ends, I'm going to be using T 14 by Ella color charm, with a 10 volume developer. So I'm just showing you guys here that I have the mixture of the light charcoal all mixed up and then I'm just basically going to be painting them on to the root of the extension. So I'm not doing anything. Professional here, because you guys know I am NOT a professional so yeah - I'm just painting it on, as you guys see here - I'm not really going too far down just trying to get that root to have kind of like that. Smudge shadow root. Look like how I do already have on my own hair. We are trying to blend these to match my hair, so I'm pretty much just going to be doing that to all of these extensions over here and I think fancy I'm not going to be flipping. The extensions around so I'm just trying to paint them so that they can saturate all the way to the back of the extension, if that makes any sense at all, so I'm just making sure that the dye goes all the way through and now over. Here I'm just kind of feathering the color, as you guys can see. I changed the position of the brush kind of going downwards just so that I can kind of feather the color a little bit more smoothly into the extensions. As you guys kind of see. It looks like this harsh line so by feathering it down it's gon na, hopefully give it a natural look, and once I'm done that, I'm about to apply the t14 onto the ends so just like I did with the roots, I am basically just going to go Ahead and start brushing it on so again with these ones as I brush it on, I want to just make sure to saturate it all through these strands so that it can reach the the back side of the extensions, because I'm I'm not going to be flipping. It around because I want to do this as quick as I can, because there's a lot of extensions that I still have to paint. This is just the first set here. These are 20 up pieces, then, once this is done, I'm gon na go ahead and do the other set. So what I'm doing here now is that I'm taking a comb - and I'm just combing it through, so that I can kind of blend the two colors together to give it more of a smudge. Once I have finished painting that on I'm just gon na leave it to set for about 15 minutes and then I'm gon na go ahead and wash them out. So now, I'm here ready to wash out the extension for the shampoo that I'm gon na use. I'M going to be using the finola, no yellow purple shampoo to wash it out, but before I apply the shampoo, I'm just gon na take my extensions and just wash out any of the product and the other dye on there. I want to make sure that I have like no hair dyes or anything on here so once that has been all rinsed out, I'm gon na go in with my purple shampoo and just massage it through the strands just to kind of tone it out a little Bit more so just kind of give it more of an a sheer tone and then, once I finished with the shampoo I'm gon na rinse that out and I'm gon na go in with another finola product which you guys already saw in my last video. And I absolutely love it. It is the purple mask the no yellow purple mask by finola. So I'm going to use this as a conditioner. On my extensions, I probably would suggest that you would leave it on a little bit longer than I'm doing here, so that it'll tone a little bit more. But just for the sake of this video, I'm trying to speed up the process here and I'm just basically going to just quickly shampoo and rinse and condition and rinse, and once I finished rinsing it, I'm just gon na leave it on the towel to dry and I'M gon na go ahead and wash out the rest of my extensions. I just wanted to share with you guys once again what these extensions look like before I toned it, and this is what it looked like after it has been toned. So this is what it looks like after I've washed it and let it air dry and straightened out. You can see it is a lot more ash here and then you can see how I have like the dark roots on there and to be honest, it is not the perfect blend. Because, again, you guys know this is coming from a non-professional, but I just wanted to test it out and see how it turned out, and hopefully once it's on my hair. It'S not gon na look too bad, but, as you guys can see, I just wanted to show you guys the difference with the tone so from that really bright, yellow a blond to this nice ashy tone. So again, these are the amazing Beauty, hair extensions that I used and they are in the 14 inch length, and I will also post a link to their website in my description down below. If you wanted to go check out any of their other extensions that they have on there, these ones in particular believe go for seventy four dollars or 76, but other than that that is about it.
