$20 Tape In Extensions From Amazon

Hope you enjoyed this video of me applying tape in extensions on myself. Just want to inform or remind everyone I am not a hairdresser or a professional when it comes to hair whatsoever. I have had no formal training and am not a cosmetologist. I simply have had a lot of practice on myself and other when it comes to extensions. I know they're not perfect, but I am happy with them. If you're not comfortable and would rather not take any chances I would recommend seeing a professional. Having said this was a fairly easy process, especially if you have a friend to help with the back.

The extensions I used : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074...

I used 3 packs of the 16 inches 20pcs 40g Silky Straight Remy Tape Hair Extensions Color 2 Darkest Brown

Hi hello and welcome to my tiny corner of Internet. Today, I'm going to be attempting to put taping extensions in my hair that were $ 20 on Amazon. What could go wrong? I actually haven't even opened to these, so I'm opening them live, live unboxing now so unboxing these sketchy tape and extensions fingers crossed this is work. I'M praying so like that. Hmm don't feel too bad, I'm not quite as scared. Now click the color matches pretty dang. Well, they might be a little bit darker, but it was this one or the medium brown which looked way too light. So I think this will work pretty well. These were twenty dollars each like twenty-two dollars or something like that. They'Re called the elite. This isn't in no way sent to me for free, and I just wanted to try these out I'll link it in the description, a link to these specific ones. I have a whole bunch of different colors, like black, all the way to white blonde. The reviews were actually really good, which is why I went with these ones. There were like a lot of photos of people wearing them before and afters, and a lot of people saying that the quality was really good and they lasted a long time for being twenty dollars. Like I don't expect much, I mostly I'm just bored and want to try something, even if it only lasts for like a month. It'S like it was twenty dollars. So it's fine. These ones are the 16 inch tape hair in the color number two. So this is like the darkest Brown right before it goes into the black shades. Thank you for your order. In each pack you get twenty little pieces, so there's 20 pieces, but you're supposed to take two of them and like squish them together with your hair in between so really it's like ten areas, it said, like one pack for like minimum volume like two to three Packs for regular and then like four packs for thick when you have like really short hair like this, you need pretty thick extensions to compensate, but I didn't want to spend like 80 bucks on these before I actually felt them and like actually saw that they were Good quality, so I only got two I figure when I wear my other extensions. I only have like one row across the top one row on the bottom and then like little ones right here, so I don't know we'll see how it goes worst case scenario. I can just put some along the top and then, if I want to get another pack I'll fill in the bottom, mostly I just wanted to try something new. You know having short brown bobbed hair with no bangs was definitely the most boring hair. I'Ve ever had - and I know that I did this to myself - I'm not complaining this is I had to do in order to grow out my natural color and allow my hair to actually start growing. It actually has grown a lot when I cut it. It was about at my chin and it's almost hitting my shoulders. It'S hitting my shoulders in the back and it's like kind of curling in right now, but it's like almost on my shoulders. So I don't hate it by any means. It'S like kind of fun to do something different, but it definitely gets boring on a day to day basis. I have clipping extensions that I got that are okay, but I wanted to try taping extensions. I don't think I've tried taping extensions. I have had basically every type of extension Under the Sun, every different brand type, the ones where you have the bead, the eye tip that you like to use a heat tool to attach so many different clip in extensions. I think I have tried taping extensions, but it was just so long ago, and I don't think I did it right. I'Ve done glue-in extensions, oh my god, what an actual nightmare those are. So you can pretty much already tell that this probably ain't gon na be enough for my whole head before I buy more. I want to apply them and actually see if they're good, they feel good, they feel smooth and they don't feel like synthetic. So these are supposed to be a human hair tape in 100 % premium human hair. So that's so far, so good colors good, pretty impressed so far. Actually, so this is what we have to work with. I'Ve got 40 pieces total. I should probably watch a video of like how to do this, but I think for the most part I get the idea. You just make a part in your hair. I think I'm gon na start at the top and work my way down. So I'm basically just gon na make a part where I want them to be, and then I'm gon na take a tiny little bit of hair, probably not go all the way to the edge, but I'll take a tiny bit of hair nice thin piece, and I Will attach the tape in tape side up here, put the hair down and then tape side down, attach the other one I'm just gon na go for it like what could go wrong. Okay, I need clips. So I'm gon na take one piece and you can see that, like one side doesn't have any stickiness to it and then the other side has a little flap that you pull off and it has sticky adhesive underneath. Let me get a tiny comb. Okay, so I got one of these combs so that I can pick out the pieces, I'm just gon na kind of measure where it's gon na go like I said I don't want to put it too close to the edge. Then it'll stick out so I'm gon na put this one here. I'M just gon na take a little bit of hair and then somehow pull this flap off. This is not gon na, be easy with nails and then tape side up, you're, just gon na lay it. I'M not gon na put it like, like, I could put it a hundred percent all the way to my scalp, but I'm gon na put it down just a touch, because I don't want to just stick out so there's one piece and then I'm gon na take A second piece, and I'm gon na put it as close to exactly on top as possible. So altogether. I have two pieces here pretty good and I just want to make sure that it's not getting caught on other hair so that there's some flexibility with being able to move it. Okay, not bad. I have one piece complete at this point: I'm just gon na repeat it around until I have a complete layer, add this height and then we'll kind of check in from there. I think the key here is not to put too much hair in between the two pieces, because then it will have like not enough stickiness to stick to it. The other piece, so just a really thin layer of hair for it to actually stick on to something. But not too much that it's like not sticky, so yeah wish me luck, okay, so I just finished putting all of them in and, unfortunately I think I need more. I did like to grow full rows of them all the way around, and then I added like two on this side and two on this side and just like a couple up here and I haven't really put any in the bottom, so yeah like the entire bottom. Half doesn't have any, but for not having like cut or styled them at all. You feeling pretty good, like obviously I'm gon na have to layer them and then style them, but purchased being put straight in. You can kind of see like where my hair has faded. So I'm gon na have to read I the bottom parts of my hair. That was a lot harder to do than I expected, I would say my biggest problem or tip. I guess that i came across while doing that was when you're sectioning, a piece of hair to put in between the pieces. Don'T take a piece. That'S like the same width as the extension. Does that make sense like this is like the same width as the piece you want to make one? That'S like just the middle so like when you put them together. The two edges can just stick to each other with no hair in between that was the move, and also what that did was helped immensely with being able to see where it was because another big problem was, i would like, have the piece ready and place the Extension and then put the hair over it, but then, like once, I put the hair over it. I couldn't see where it was anymore like at all, and so I just kind of had to guess and slap it on and then feel if the edges were connected and I had to take a couple of them off and reapply them because they were so off. So only doing the middle makes it, so you can see like the shiny edges on each side and then it's much easier to place other than that it seemed pretty straightforward. I am gon na order, one more pack to put on the bottom, but for now I'm just going to cut some layers into these I'll, probably take the length down to about 14 inches just want like medium length hair. So I am going to trim these down and then I'll tile them and do my makeup and give my final thoughts. Okay, so I'm finished cutting and styling the hair, I'm just doing the last bit of oh, my god, okay, my makeup lipstick on okay, looking pretty good! So now, let's unclip, I think they came out pretty good, I'm pretty happy with the result. I did take a little bit off about an inch and a half and I didn't cut too much just a little bit. I just wanted to add some layers you can see like there's some pieces. I basically just like grabbed pieces from the top and then, where my hair ends, I would start putting little layers around the whole top, but you know overall for the price. So altogether these were $ 44 total for both sets. I don't know how like many grams, it is, it doesn't say that anywhere, but it feels like a good amount. Yeah pretty pretty happy with this result should we do some glamour shots so overall, I think these are totally worth the price $ 44 for two sets. I probably will end up getting a third set Co future Phoenix here. Sorry, I'm ugly again! I just wanted to pop in for a second and update you, because I did end up getting the third pack of extensions. I put them in last night. I film the original video like two days ago, so I thought may as well just show you guys what this looks like. It definitely looks a lot better. I filled out most of the bottom with the additional 10 pieces. Here'S a quick little 360 but yeah. That was it just wanted to let you know and resume original video yeah. They were tricky to put in, but you figure it out. You know the ones where you can see are easy. It'S just like where you can't see it's pretty tough to line them up correctly. So if you just had like one person help you at the back, that would make it a lot easier. I think they feel very secure. You know when you have like clip in extensions and you're trying to style them and they just kind of like pull away from your head and they don't obviously feel like they're your real hair, because they're not but also they're, just like kind of loosely clipped. These like art, in how that hurts, but they're like not going anywhere and they feel like my real hair. If I were to just pull it back right into a pony or like a bun, completely invisible, and it feels it doesn't feel like it's pulling. So I'm a pretty big fan of this product and just probably taping extensions in general um. Obviously I can't speak to how well they hold up after being washed. They are supposed to stay in pretty well, they will naturally slide down. You can buy additional tape, so you like get a remover and remove them. Take the tape off the extensions, put a new piece of tape in and you can reapply them so put them back up. Who knows, if we'll actually keep these around long enough to do that, but you never know I'm pretty stoked on these. I'M excited to be able to just like fall asleep with these in and wake up. Looking the same so yeah, that's pretty much all I have to say about this experience here. Pretty happy. Yeah definitely would recommend if you just like, want to try something, but clip-ins are kind of just like they don't really feel like a big change, because they're just clipped in like this feels like I have brand new hair and like it's not going anywhere. So it's like exciting yeah. Let me know if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer them, but hopefully I covered everything and that's it so thanks for stopping by - and I will see you in the next one - bye, hi, hello and mm - I can't speak. I haven't spoken words yet today that sound weird still, hmm also sorry, I look like boo boo, I'm gon na do my makeup. After this I wanted it to like go from, like you know, gremlin to like less of a gremlin. Oh, could you move your tail? Shh, okay, well, whatever that was it's gone forever now, supposedly they are supposed to supposedly there's posts.

wilde flower: Love you girl, looks good! Pro tip, if the extensions are secured to too thin or too small of a piece of hair it can cause tension breakage so just be mindful of that. I know you’re working super hard to grow your hair out

Terry Shea: tip: its much easier to put the first tape on top of hair and then pick up the extension and flip it up to top of head. it will lift up the hair that is attached and they you can see where to put the bottom tape extension layer.. also you should start in the middle bottom of back and work your way up. glam seamless has a chart for DIY tape ins..

Jess Joy: This is probably one of my favourite videos of yours! I love that there’s literally no end to your creativity from DIY to tape in extensions! These looks great

Mike and Mom: Omg the extensions are a perfect match! And I LOVE your beautiful freckles!❤️

kelcey: Looks soo good!! And omg please keep this natural hair color for a while, it is so pretty on you!

cabbage patch kid: You honestly look pretty without makeup.

Yalimar: thanks, i was looking for a video that explains how it goes with 20 pieces of tape extensions in short hair. love it!!

Haley Sperbeck: They look really good, my only tip would be next time use a needle nose pliers to really seal them together ❤ makes a big difference in the lasting impact

Mamalovesbeauty13: New subscriber here, I really loved you video. I know I'm a year late but the extension's look great on you. The only thing I would ask is that when you start a new layer You kind of explained to us what you're doing because I have no clue LOL so did you do 3 layers or 2 layers? By the way you are adorable with or without the extensions. Have you kept purchasing these? Is this something you still continue?

Cristy salinas: How long did they stay in for?

Rachele Kramer: Would love to know how long these lasted a Review of these would be great!!!!

Bad Rabbit: I have really fine, crappy, breakable hair, would the adhesive damage my hair when removing them? Or does it just loosen over time and come out without pulling? Thanks for the great video!

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Can tape extensions easily cause hairloss even when I have only used it once and gently tore them off my hair instead of extensions remover?

Italian lessons NYC: What did the hair look like after 1.5 months of wearing?

Jessica Shemone: You did a really great job

Miss Not Of This World: That looks good . It's recommended that you put your sandwiches in the middle of a flat iron. Fairly low heat about 180° not really hot! You look great! I am going to try tape ins for the first time. I wonder why they say that you can't do them yourself. It's fairly easy.it will just take time and practice to get more precise.

Raquel Estrada: About to do this on my hair !!

shauna silver: do these hurt? like when you brush your hair? can you wear your hair up? are they easy to take out? sorry for all the questions, I've never used them.

carol Evans: Bless you and thank you ,its helped me a lot. X

living the best rn: U look amazing before and after

Paula: Looks great!

underoathspen: I'm cracking up at you not having pants on cause MOOD ALWAYS

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait for some special reasons as me? How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on hair, how long can it last before it gets worn out, how many tape exensions do I need for short and thin hair when I want long and thick hair, how can I keep it on my hair without it falling off, does it feels natural like our own hair when we wear it, will tape attachment be invisible on short and thin hair, can it make hair worn, how to blow-dry my hair and tape extensions without it being worn if tape extensions have to be blow-dryed every time I wash both my hair and tape extensions and do tape extensions need any other products than just extra tape, remover and another shampoo and conditioner?

Danielle Guzman: I have the same color and bob (just way shorter) and my god same! MOST BORING HAIR EVER! DEFINITELY going to buy these, they look rly good

Shelby & Co.: I LOVE YOUR FRECKLES!!!! What’s the best eyeliner to use?

Aly Fuentes: I just got them yesterday and installed today, I paid $28 or so for a 16” pack of 20. They are soft! I haven’t washed them yet so we’ll see how they get after that. The ends are so weird! They have like a black tip, like it’s burned at the ends, the tape does kind of come off when peeling of the blue part of the tape protector (doesn’t come with extra replacements) I used two packs and it was honestly enough for my head. I applied them myself so some of them are not well placed so like 2 of them hurt but besides that the rest it’s all good. I could probably use another pack just to fill in some gaps and blend it a little more but hey it’s all good! 7/10. *will update in a week*

GirlGroup Defense: A pack or two more would have been perfect

Sarah Williams: Im so getting these! my hair is a lot shorter, but i hope i can make it work!

Gossip gurrl : Thanks girly def buting them and your'e so pretty btw thanks for the video following u now :)

Sarah Smith: I think I have an idea how to do these. Immediately parts hair on top and decides to work her way down. Lol

Zoe Blair: That lipstick is such a cute color, what is it? ❤️

Alyssa Y: Beautiful

alexis Biazzo: Great video! How many inches are these?

Terry Shea: also what lipstick color is that and nail color I LOVE it

b r i t t . k n e e: Fr this chick has such a soothing voice. *Glamour shots*

American Angel 🇺🇸: Please tell me where you got your ring!! It looks like labradorite if I'm not mistaken.

NoOne Really: You are fricking adorable!!

LadyOwl: Adorable freckles

Anta Chan: I have seen people taking one piece and folding it around the tiny section of your own hair

Robin: I dig the shirt!

kelcey: Also, can we see a vid on your new tattoos!?

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Can SugarBearHair Vitamins still fix my hair least after almost eight months even when I have only once tried tape extensions and gently tore them off my hair instead of extensions remover?

Cierra Asby: have you ever wrapped your lobes over and behind your ears before?

Bella DeGrasse: I want these but don’t know how to wear my hair up with them

ComaxBaby: What do you use to draw on your freckles??

alejandra Farias: El color es lindo

taylor greene: What lipstick did u use ?? Bomb

aly matos: The amount of Becky's commenting on your stretched ears are quite annoying its almost like they dont know streatching your ears is an aesthetic choice we do on purpose bc WE like them. Anyways, how long did these last till they started to fall out, if u remember? I realize this was 2 years ago.

Vanja Lo: Does the head hurt like from clips in??

Audrea Lambert: They look fcking awsome

gizmo thedog: Now why would you cut your hair short ??????

Sierra Biehn: Some of y’all are so mean. Who cares that she has stretched ear lobes, or draws on freckles and her eyebrows.

Alexandra Wadsworth: love it love you

BeautWigs: Nice hair

Emma Bonneau: You're beautiful

Natalia Pixel: Great Video, just the robot voices are a bit annoying and not cute

Radiate radical vibes: Omg what is that lip colour?!?

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Why you don't just try SugarBearHair Vitamins for least 3-6 months?

Valentine Ruiz: So ptetty

Alicia Doldán: Tu eres muy linda. Noooooooo así no

Rose Eleni: The ears made me feel really uneasy...

Dr Joe Joe: Girl! Fix those ear lobes. Yikes!!! fake hair. Fake freckles. You don’t need to do that. You’re prettier natural.
