Dark Blonde To Platinum + Babe Tape-In Hair Extensions - Sailorbexx_Hair

Watch the steps and formulas I give to bring darker hair or dark blondes to a rooty platinum and install 22” in tape in hair extensions!

Hey guys welcome to my channel. My name is Becky Garson Bok, I'm a hairdresser in Austin Texas. Today'S video is about a seven hour of color correction and 22-inch babe hair taken extension installation, if you guys have any questions about my technique, feel free to. Let me know or drop a comment. I will be listening my formulas and reasons why and behind everything that I do as the video goes along happy viewing Kate is a natural level, six with grown out, yellowy ends and she loves and wants to be super blond with 22 inch tape in extensions. So here's our seven hour, color correction. As you can see, I sliced every single piece of her hair up the back there and continuing on to the sides I used wellas blonde or 20 volume in the back. Then I bump up to 25 volume on the sides toward the top and the final developer strength being 30 volume to finish it out and make everything process. At the same time. The reason I'm doing every single piece and foils like this is because she had so many different colors going on that I need everything to be uniform and I need to be able to control the lift by the time I finished foiling the top section. Her back was finished, so I'm just pulling it rinsing it and putting olaplex number two on it for her root. Smudge I'm doing Redken 7n8 tea shades eq for her blonde, I'm gon na be using Wella blonde or permanent liquid toner in the shade pale platinum and I did a drop of the brass kicker as well. To help with some of that uneven warmth that she has. I really like this new toner that they have. It is, however, acidic so it will bump natural bases, so kind of keep that in mind, even with a six-volume developer that it requires. Now I'm just gon na go through the sections of her hair and do her route. Smudge, which again, is the red, can shades eq, 0, 7 n + 0. 8. T here is the root shadow and finished blonde. Before we install the extensions look, how super soft and subtle that root shadow is, as you can see, it's not as dark as when its processing so make sure you just let that sit and process before you rinse it out and freak out, because it's not as Dark, as you think, it's gon na be, and you need that depth and deposit. So here comes the fun part. I'Ve been doing tape and extensions for probably about four or five years now. I have tried many different ways to put them in, and I find that creating a solid foundation on the very bottom really makes your client feel like they have. You know that solid thick perimeter, which is what we see the most. I think I try and work my way around to the sides after I complete that back portion of the head, because you really can't start envisioning this until you have that that perimeter set. So what I do is the back and then the side perimeter, and then I start working my way up to the top and at the very top is when you start really customizing it to there cowlicks and how they part their hair. Because every head of hair is different and every person is different. Obviously, so you kind of have to definitely definitely customize, as you are finishing the placements. So if you've noticed, I kind of comb the hair out and what I'm doing is I'm checking for holes or gaps, and that lets me know where I need to place that next extension, you're, basically trying to brick, lay and hide layers and hide any of the Gaps in spaces that you see to make it look more natural and then, of course, customizing, like I said toward the top with her cowlicks or how she parts her hair, and I go pretty high up on her. She doesn't really mind if they show sometimes on my other clients, I tend not to go up that high, but she's able to she's also a stylist, I might add so she's able to curl and tease and really work with the extensions to make them blend. So I'm just carving out her face from here, basically to blend with her natural and kind of create some soccer movement around the face. It also makes it move a little bit more naturally, and not just hang there. It also makes it really nice to curl. After this, I am just kind of double-checking the front to make sure it's even and lays nice, of course, when she's wearing it forward. You just want to be super minimal when you're cutting and blending these things. It'S not a real head of hair. If you think about it, so you don't want to take it too thin and risk creating like thin wisps of hair and we've all seen that so you wouldn't be super minimal and basically you're, just blending and softening and creating some movement without taking too much, especially Off the bottom after you finish, layering the top you go to the bottom, and you connect that very bottom perimeter to the layers that you've traded and you're, basically just walking your shears up and softening that layering without creating too much wisp enos. It'S just creating a little bit more movement and natural flow to the hair. If you can't tell my best friend and I are super goofy and we're happy to wrap up a seven-hour, color correction yeah so actually had her come in the next day and I curled her and took some after photos guys look how beautiful that is. That is no filter, that's just sunlight. It turned out super beautiful and she's so happy and I'm so happy. I could do this for her. I love transformations like this. I hope you guys enjoyed watching the video. I had a lot of fun doing it, especially since she was my best friend um. I hope you guys learned it anything. I want my channel to be about everyday techniques and if you guys have any questions or any recommendations on what I should show during these videos, I'd be happy to indulge Happy New Year cheers to 2020 Thanks.
