So what we've seen so far is the colored hair that you would use for shampoo conditioner if you're wanting a leave-in conditioner to give you moisture as well as strength the protein cream, the tonic for a very light touchable mist, a no feel hair to protein protection And color, as well as the amazing benefits of the one shot, helping the ends grow long or protecting during lightening protecting during color and, ultimately, the Trinity dry shampoo. So before I do any detangling, I do a light mist of the bathroom, moisture, mist and then lightly squeeze it into the hair. As soon as I allow that to work, I can then come through and detangle now the moisture mist allows for shine for body and maximum moisture. Now Basia shampoo basket, conditioner and moisture mist. That'S the beginning of my daily regime. We did talk about taking down your high lift blogging in the salon when you're taking down the high life blondie in place of the conditioner in the salon. You want maximum moisture and a specific protein to help that moisture attach. So for that we have the basket mask, and everybody goes with basket that smells amazing, especially that mask it even makes me hungry thinks of cupcakes. When I first formulated this was meant as an antioxidant to you, and it still is to use in their after color, so after you've, rinsed your color to stream the bath oil and squeeze it and believe it. The antioxidants reduce all the three radicals that would normally fade your color then quickly. We found that that it works from everything from dry skin to a mosquito bite to a bee sting. Oil itself is the highest concentration of the certified organic, a bath oil, which is cold-pressed from the seeds of the bassinet. So when we take the oil, we can work it over. The hair dry, we work it in the hair wet as well as any areas of the skin. That may mean just a little bit of help. Now, there's also a massive goal and the Batsuit goal. They'Re not attracted to color moisture protein. Just like I've had a magnet - and I put it on my shirt - it wouldn't pick it up purify. It doesn't pick up the color, moisture or the proteins, so purify lives within our styling family as a all-around, deep cleanser. The next thing we talk about - and I really want you to understand this - is wet styling, dry, styling and hold because as a stylist is getting that perfect look, you choose a wet style, then you do a dry styler and then you can hold it's important that We educate our guests at home to do the same now. The first thing I'll share with you here is swirl, and I've got our wet man in here. Just to show you some application base. Tans swirl is a sea salt spray primarily used wet to even out texture in the hair, but it can be used dry to just to activate second day. So I want to miss the hair and light Little Miss from base to end. So squirrel is if I want to activate a curl if the curl is uneven in the hair, add more texture or for that beachy on second date. The next thing we're going to move to is reflect reflect. Is my styling gel we'll share this with you, because, as a styling, gel you'll find that it's got a very unique gummy texture, but it's water soluble in the way that a water base, as I put my hands together, the gel just slips right through the hair. When do I use this as a base for glamor styling, when I'm going to go through the hair and do a blow-dry and then a curling there and work afterwards reflect is my choice. Let'S give you an example, the look that I would be after with reflect would be very much a very full, rounded blow-dry. I may even use a curling iron center, big bumper, set afterwards on that bumper set. I would use my theory spray, which is not only a finishing but can be used as a thermal protector, so when you think full rub brush lasting blow-dry, I want you to think of reflect, especially if you're going to use a curling iron after your blood drive. Now the next blow-dry product jump for volume. So what I want volume, but I want the clean and I want to touchable going jump works is it has sugars and it has starches that don't like each other. They push apart. Very much like you would see well and vinegar so, and people like happy-face jump a happy hair, so with jump, oh yeah, I missed it up. I put it down at the base because it's a real phenomenal root level take my jumps, squeeze it into the hair. You saw the first place I put, it was really at the base, so I get that real root left again. What is it this is wet styling. So in working with my wet styling, my end result here is volume and bounce. So it's nice, it's clean. It'S touchable and if I want even extra volume here, what I'll do now is I'm going to move to a dry styler? This is my push powder lightly, tap the push into the hair and then, as I work it, those little starch fibers expand and they give me beautiful, beautiful volume. So now I want volume: it's touchable, I'm going to use, jump nice and airy nice and full I'm going to want more texture a little bit of a tease. Let'S take a look at her okay, so what I would be doing for wet styling is. I would use my tacky whip, which is a shiitake mushroom fiber, and you can see the fibers move around like they tap and I like the fibers to move within. I lightly squeeze that all into the hair now as I'm drying for something with texture, I'm just going to squeeze and manipulate and push that hair around. Let'S take a look at it so afterwards I can use here the same product for dry style, so I'm using my taffy whip now and yes, you're gon na create some texture and I just take the taffy whip and keep squeezing it into the hair, squeezing it Into the hair squeeze it in there just get that real all happening. So here was very nice for my guest at home, she's gon na use the same product for wet styling as she is for dry. That was its happy wet. Not volume like jump up texture like the taffy, which is the nice smooth control blow-dryer, so taking a look at a bliss blow-dry here. If I want some nice airiness, I'm gon na do some dry styling, but her hair here is a lot lighter. So I'm going to use the airlift so I'll likely miss that powder in and the powder creates a fiber network in throughout the hair. Now another choice that I have here for glamor detailing I may take a little bit of my shaping wax and the shaping wax gives me a manipulating ability in through the hair. Let'S say that I dry styling now I want to move this hair back away from my face: push it back and away push it back and away. So, just as an artist chooses various paints, we're choosing the right styling product for the right effect. Now, I'd like to see a little more, even a glamour shine through the back, so what I'm gon na do here is I'm gon na take our shine wax take the shine wax dip a little on my hand, heat it up now a little trick here. I'M going to take our bamboo brush and the bristles are actually a bamboo fiber as well. They work like a bore crystal, but they're bamboo and they'll absorb the shine wax and then I'll just lightly brush my finish for shine in detail so control. Also, you shine wax to get rid of any static if it happens to be that time of year. So now, what do we do as an artist? We blow dried with bliss for body to be smooth, lighter hair, so we used airlift for volume. I needed some structure through the sides. It was touchable, so just a bit of my shaping wax and then to finish, I put some of the shine wax in my hand, heat it up and put it on my brush. So, as we see there's a different choice for the look that I want to create now, we've got something special for you for glamour. Now, let's say if it's curls, I'm wanting to add glamour, do we're gon na. Do it two ways here this is called taffy wax and the taffy wax as you'll see, is a wax fiber and it sprays white and it's known from the Japanese wax trees will sources from and as soon as I rub, my hands together. It melts so where I want texture I'll mist it onto the hair and then we went coming up and just squeezed and as the heat of my hand, melts the fiber of the wax tree. You can see the beautiful texture fall in crave. Again, it's a wet application product number one and crave as a wet product that gives me texture. I can feel it in the hair. It'S not a clean styling product, because I want to feel that fiber. So when I blow drying with crave, I get volume, but I get text. You know what, if I wanted volume, but I'm on the shorter hair, but I don't want to feel the texture I would use. Actually our texture paste, which leaves a little cleaner, feel to that blow. Dry texture, place cleaner, feel crave. A little bit of a grittier Punk type feel now my crave, I can come in put a little bit on the back of my hand, come through and be an artist. This is the type of thing that, when your guest looks in the mirror goes, you know what you really enjoy doing, what you? Don'T you there's putting those fine little detailed pieces so again, the reason that I'm choosing Krave here is it gives me more texture to these pieces. If I was using texture paste, it would be cleaner. Some tacky wax take the tacky wax throughout and now it's time to melt in the heat of my hand is melt. The texture into the hair and you'll start to see the separation you'll start to see a more glamorous curl start to sit and every place that I take my hand to warm, and you can see that color really get enhanced in there too. The real seeker with the tacky wax so don't use too much you can see. I just used a really light mist and then I came to you and I created that really nice detailing base. So here, if I want just a natural hold, I'm gon na use. My theory, if I wanted a firmer hold with my aerosol, I could use my theory firm or if I want to hold I'd use impulse, because that would give me my firmus base those important things of second day styling, which is Trinity, dry shampoo. I want to make sure I'm keeping my scalp fresh the entire time so every morning it's a light mist of the Trinity dry, shampoo and also it adds a little bit of condition over the top. My goodness, we share a ton of information, make sure you've got it best way to do. This is think about a guess that you may use it on think about a guest who swims a lot, chlorine think about a guest in hard water iron and think about purify, deep cleansing. So you can see the wet styling is moving into your dry detailing now shaping wax where I wanted to manipulate that hair, and I pushed it away shine wax that I put on to our bamboo brush for shine and two choices of powder, medium to heavier hair. Where I want volume and that light hair, where I want that airiness to the airlift so airlift for light, push for that heavier volume and my whole very natural medium hold my theory. A firm air saw hole. My theory firm and hold firm, hold the pump spray of impulse and all three of those sprays can actually be used as well when you're doing thermal styling. Now you saw the brushes here and a quick hot tip for your brushes. The round brushes the tk2. The surface has the two-inch in the three-inch. The key to it. The botanicals provides a tremendous shine for us. You can see how nice the hair stays to the touch and the tremendous shine. So as we work that through now, the day of we would use the primer. Remember it also heat and UV protects up to 450 degrees. We use the texture spray and then we used the dry oil spray. Let'S see some of the different hair textures that we can work with heavier coarser, hair blowdried, beautifully with the primer and then afterwards to add that natural texture we'd come in with the texture spray lightly. Mister wool look at the volume just explode into the hair. I believe one of the most impressive things with these botanicals is how they leave the hair so touchable and to refresh the drive oil spray, providing wonderful shine and there's zero weight to that hair. Look at the enhancement of the color. Now, let's go one step further, been working with medium to shorter lengths that were more glamorous than we're blowing out and then using a curling iron over the top again, we started with a primer after the primer, but we go to the texture spray and that's what I'Ll separate the curl with so take that curl s and set with your iron lightly miss the texture, spray and just squeeze those botanicals in for that beautiful set texture and then the next part of the system, the dry oil spray again misting it over the top. Adding that beautiful shine now, the key here is being able to lock the moisture heat seal it into the hair, providing the hair with volume and shine with reducing the blow-dry time and providing a longer-lasting blow up. The way that that works is by sealing specific moisturizers into the hair, we provide moisture through natural omegas, omega 3, 6 and 9 and surface sources. All of our omega fatty acids are from plant sources. The Omega 3 is a medium weight. It gives hairless tissa t moisturized, primarily the cuticle of the hair. Now, where do we source it up? A bath oil, 47 % of the weight of the oil is actually omega-3 a flaxseed 53 % of the flaxseed oil is omega threes. This omega-3 is primarily again on the cuticle. Then we have omega-6, that's where the cannabis sativa co-op comes in the cannabis sativa seed oil is rich in omega-6. In fact, 54 % of cannabis sativa oil is weight, is omega-6. This is a lighter oil. It'S deeper. It'S faster penetrating and can law last longer as long as it's sealed into the hair. So, let's start with. First of all, the key to curly hair is to eliminate frizz I'll. Give you a little overview in the beginning of it. What is frizz so if you have a hair shaft and it is a straight hair, so imagine this the actual hair shaft being straight. There'S structural bonds that run horizontally that hold the hair together in the protein fiber light, hits it it's shiny. The cuticle is compact. It holds color with it. Now. That'S that hair curls, where it bends that structural blog now is stretched. The bond is only inside the stretch on that bond causes the cuticle to raise and that's what frizz is the tighter, the curl, the more stretch you have on the structural bond and the more frizz that there can be, and what that frizz is. Is the stress. That'S on the bond raising the cuticle and that's where you lose moisture, that's where color fades from so the first thing we note of surface curls. We work inside the hair to strengthen the structural bond with vitamin K that we drive from Ko Ko butter. And yes, anybody who's already used. It goes. It smells amazing. The other thing I want to identify is the challenge of silicones in the 1990s and early 2000s. That science was a hundred percent correct, because the columns is better termed the comb family being dimethicone lacks a cone depending on the size, the co molecule they could coat. The hair and they could end up feeling good in the beginning, but it would dry it out long-term because they weren't water-soluble. That was then. There'S also two directions that we're going to take today. What we've done here is we've shampooed with our curl shampoo, as you would in the shower, then here because we were working with a very tight kinky curl. We chose to use masks as you would in the shower. If you're working with a curl, that would mean as much moisture you could use the curls conditioner, but every five shampoos. You could still use the mask key point in the shower. The mask is applied to hair that tends to have more tangles to their curl and then take it. Squeeze the mask in the hair and leave the curls mask for your 60 seconds and then comb it through right in the shower. That'S on your extreme basis. Please! Never ruffle dry, your curls we haven't here. What we've done is we've just squeezed the moisture out now you know what it can look like underneath. Yes, please at this point, we do not begin combing, the curls whatsoever. That'S when we use the curl the curl up is a leave-in conditioning. We apply small amounts throughout the hair, squeezing it from the ends up. The reason that curl whip is a foam is to maintain a very, very, very light weight, and it was we squeezed that we can actually feel that moisture go into the hair. Very small amounts we're working my way all the way around now, as I work my way around and squeeze this in, I would have an option to at this point of going ahead and using the curls mask squeezing it in and even doing the treatment doing, a Big, I won't be going into the details of a bank in this training experience. However, look at our University online and see that make right from the start to the finish, a tremendous in salon, treatment for your curly guests now having squeezed it through and our hair. Here is extremely kinky, being it's very thirsty, the structure one has an extreme stretch, aren't really opening it out so right now, even before I go to comb and detangle through I'll use a little bit of high-impact moisture, which isn't a serum I'll, take a little bit Of the serum, and especially if there's any real frizzy areas, I'll work it over the top. So let's take the serum again a little on each side and you can see that's just a very nice moisturizing oil is what that serum is. If I have baby baby fine curly hair, let me choose to use bath oil, which is a little lighter, but for medium to coarse curls. Please you, the syrup now after we have squeezed it in now, it's time to detangle. So at this point, I'm going to use the surface curls comb we'll start on their ends and we'll work our way up. So let's take a look and how nice this can comb through now. So as I'm combing through I'm separating the curls very little tension, that's on them and if I do find a not anywhere whatsoever, let me try and gently take a little bit of serum and go back over top of that area. So taking that line through very gently combing, those curls all out you'll, see when we go to embrace the curls will squeeze the curl pattern back in, but before we begin either air drying or diffusing which go through today. I want to make sure that those curls have been completely smooth through. I will not let any of the tangles dry into that hair, so we come through and just continue to work. Your way up, I think the most impressive thing is I'm not having here. In my comb, I'm not having hair break off, though, because I went - and I was strengthening that first - so let's work our way very gently through our curls and then at this point: let's embrace them so we'll take them we'll set them through and I'll. Take you through the steps that we set this tighter curl in as well as the steps that we can use the looser curl yeah now first option. Let'S say that my guest here is trying to grow her curls longer the actual cuticle on tight kinky hair. Maybe only three layers to a maximum of five, so when most curls hit the shoulder, they begin to wear away. It'S friction. It'S like wearing the same sweater every day for 365 days, you're gon na wear the elbows out. So at this point, what I would do is I would take my one shot, which is the maximum of the amaranth protein and right through my hands, wherever I'm trying to grow the hair longer I work my one shot and then take the top. I put it back on for my next time around so having taking that squeezing that one shot in now, let's say we're going to define our curls and defining the curls. The first thing I'm going to do is pick up. The frizz free spring gel frizz free, is concentration of glycoproteins and sugars that wrap the actual hair shaft in defining the curl or you'll see after I also use it if I'm smoothing the curls. So now let's come in Miss this prison tree and it has very little to no hole. It'S entirely responsible now, just for wrapping that hair to have it be frizz free to have more holes. In definition, I'll move to our firm mousse shake it well before its application and you'll see it comes out in a very thick rich, gel foam and the same thing as I did here, because now this has hold. We haven't really applied anything with old yeah and we'll squeeze it from the ends up. The even distribution of your styling product is so important, really focus on this level. Curly hair can also dry very fast in the poorest areas. So if you get distracted whatsoever before you put your styling product on and the hair is too dry, the ends may saw up more of your mousse of styling product so make sure the moisture is even in the hair and then you evenly distribute your styling product. So working it from ends up now, here's a hot tip to pay, how much time you have at home or in the salon. If you have time at home, I suggest allowing the hair to air dry as much as you can before you pick up your diffuser. Sometimes time doesn't allow that this is a must, as well as the curls comb. Is it curls rake for every curly girl? I want lift at the root, so I want to make sure I don't disturb that curl pattern. Now I'm gon na lift that base up and remember that friction disturbs the curl in can equal frizz, so I've got my shape just the way I want it. I can let it air dry some and then, if I want to you - and I will finish if I want more of a defined curl - I'm gon na finish defuse, especially if I'm a curly girl. Let'S got a looser wave like this. I really need to define that hair and I need to be able to diffuse the base. So let's go to a little bit of an example here. What I can use at this point and it's what we did in finishing here. I want you to think of the curl now, and this curl looks a little lazy. Doesn'T it, I think it looks pretty cool, but I need if I need to enforce it more, and I did here I'll go outside of the curls and I'm going to go into surface styling, and this is swirl.
