Hey guys it's light here and if today's video I'm going to show you guys my winter hair care routine, I don't know if you could tell. Maybe you can. I don't know, I definitely could tell. I got my hair colored and I got it toned, and so when she toned it, I think she turned it a little bit too dark, but I don't know I'm not mad at it. I don't hate it, but let me know what you guys think. Do you guys, like the color 2020, is the year for hair growth? For me, I'm just letting y'all know that I'm gon na get some inches but yeah. This is my winter haircare routine. So there's a few things, a lot of things that have changed just so that I can really try to retain moisture. But if you'd like to see how I got this look, then let's get started, I'm starting out with a pre-poo, scalp massage, and so I'm just creating my own little cocktail of products, I'm using coconut oil, castor oil and also just a little bit of tea tree Oil, all of these ingredients are very moisturizing and will help to stimulate hair growth. I'M balling it and mixing all these ingredients together, because castor oil is like the main one that I want to use, but it works better when it's mixed with another oil. Just because it's super thick now that everything's mixed I'm going over to my bed and I'm flipping my head over and I'm starting my scalp massage, I'm leaning over the edge just so I can bring additional blood flow to my scalp. But, of course, if you have like an applicator bottle or something like that, you can really get to the roots I just like to dip. My fingers in, and the warmth from your fingers melts the oil anyways. So for me this works just fine. I can definitely tell a difference ever since I started scalp massages and it doesn't always have to be with oil. It can just be your fingers like right before bed in the shower, I'm using my shampoo and conditioner both from Cantu, so both of these products have no silicones, no sulfates, no parabens, and they have no mineral oils. So that's definitely something that you should look for. In your products, I feel like the shampoo gets my scalp really clean, but not like crazy, clean, where it's squeaky, clean and also the conditioner just makes my hair feel so freakin soft, like once I rinse it out. My hair feels amazing. When I shampoo, I like to really focus on the roots and kind of bring everything down, and sometimes I even section my hair, it just depends on. If I have like a lot of tangles or not, and for my conditioner, I just apply a bunch all over, and I section my hair in half and work on one side at a time just so that it's easier to comb through, and so I use my Fingers and just gently kind of pull apart the tangles and doing this method. Honestly, like I literally lose just a few strands, I don't really lose a lot of hair once everything has been combed through and I finished my shower - I'm just rinsing out the conditioner and I'm also going to make sure that I'm applying a deep conditioner the packaging On this deep conditioner is so freakin cute. I had to use this one it's from Bree, oh gee, oh and it's there don't despair, repair, honey, mask and then I'm taking this hothead cap, which is kind of like a thermal cap. You put it in the microwave and it has like beads or whatever in it. It'S kind of heavy actually and it warms up, and so, when you put it on top of your head, it keeps that warmth and it basically kind of insulates everything and it allows for your deep conditioner to really penetrate the hair. So I'm just leaving this on and watching TV and chilling for a minute, and once I'm done, I rinse it out, and this is what we're working with. For my part, I like to do a zig zag part now, because I feel like it just conceals the part better, so you don't see it as much when your hair is dry and again working on one section at a time once my hair is completely wet. I mean super super wet because that's the only way that I can stop my hair cuz. You just get way more definition. That way I work in sections, and so first I'm applying this hydration custard, it's from Eden Body Works. I'Ve just been exploring and testing out different new, like leave ins and creams. Just so, I can really help moisturize my hair and on top of it, I'm using my diva curl ultra defining gel, and this is the combo that I've been using just to really lock in that moisture. So I'm putting the custard on first and putting the gel on top for my edges, I'm using this one from kiss it's their Oregon and macadamia edge control, and so I use like a little edge control brush and just brush down my edges. I used to use like a gel, and sometimes I still do, but this actually gives you like a really good hold and it even lasts like multiple days, so I really have been liking this one once I finished applying products, it's time for me to diffuse, and So basically I just go on my phone and I just diffuse my air. I diffuse around my hair first for like a good 15 minutes just so I can really like keep everything and kind of lock it in and then I move on to scrunching up and fluffing. Just so I can add more volume. Fluff it out, do a shake. Do a little dance, and after that, this is the final look all right, guys, we've come to the end of this video.
