SPRING PROM NATURAL HAIRSTYLE TUTORIAL (Bri Hall)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LjEZy...

Bri Hall:

https://www.youtube.com/SmartistaBeaut...

This is my inside: hey guys, it's Bree Han today, I'm gon na teach you how to snatch a soul for spring or at your prom cuz. I know it's prom season for a lot of people, so I'm starting off with blow-dried hair to create this style. Then I'm gon na use a rat tail comb to part my hair on the left and the right and as you'll see, I'm very particular about parting. So I do some reporting here, but I just get the general section and then I part really close to each vaio. If that makes sense - and I go out a diagonal angle, then I clip all my hair up in the back with a normal hair tie without the metal thing that breaks your hair. I'M gon na do a single part down the middle and separate, and then I'm gon na clip up one section and split that section in half horizontally, as you see here, to create these four kind of checkered boxes. Once I have my parts exactly how I like them, I take this cream of Nature. Perfect edges, black edge control. Now I like this because it really accents my parts and makes them stand out. So, as you see here, I'm applying a little bit to each side of my box, part that I made and then I'm smoothing it into the hair and I'm going to show you why smoothing is so important later. Don'T worry this stuff blends in really really well, but as you'll see at the end, it really makes the style pop and if you need to blend it out a little bit just comb it further in your hair. Now I'm taking these super stretch. Hair bands to secure that section, and also for my people that have you know unique hair colors like red or you know, even if you have light brown or blonde, you can use the regular cream of nature, perfect edges and it will select your hair Danielle. It is not going no, where I promise you and that's why I like this for spring, because it is getting a long humid in spring. You know so I'm gon na part another box and adjust any parts that might have gotten a little cray-cray once that section is all parted perfectly as we want it got all the loose hairs out of there. I'M gon na apply the edge control again to this box and smooth it down, and you guys will see when this style is finished. I just love how the black edge control makes my roots pop cuz. My natural roots are growing out and they're a little bit more on the brown side, so it just allows you know what I mean the style to look really like almost like you drew it on your head. I know that sounds bad, but you know I like that. Look then I'm gon na go in and again repeat this process on another box and clip the hair in the front out of the way and as you'll see like I start to clip the hair out of the way, even more because it gets a little bit Tricky for these back boxes - and some of you guys said that you really like when I show the whole process, so I'm showing it cuz. You know I've been listening to y'all like I'll, be here you I'll, be here. Oh girl. Let'S fix that crooked box right there, the parting in the very back, isn't, you know, doesn't have to be super particular because it's not really gon na show, and now I'm going to show you. I take the back of the comb and smooth my roots and look at how shiny and sleek just smoothing the hair makes it. Oh love it look. I'Ve gotten! So many compliments on this hairstyle all week. So yeah I just really like this process and it works. Well, for me, you can also use like a beeswax or whatever edge control. You have on hand. You guys know. I love when you use what you have. You don't have to get everything that I have in this style. Now I've got all four sections dunzo. You know - and I mean we already be halfway there. No I'm just kidding, there's a couple more steps. Now, I'm gon na take this can't do styling, stay and hold gel, and it's really thick and goopy. You could also use mocha called a gorilla or gorillas not to do this and I'm gon na Quan room the first section into the second section and I'm showing you in a real time. I didn't really cut out a lot of my mess. Ups and stuff. It does get a little tricky, so I'm gon na show you on the next braid a quick tip of how you can get it to you know I mean look really fluid from box to box, and so I split the first section in three and I switch The back section is three, so basically, you can just plat the first section and then add the three sections from the back into each plat. So you're not really doing a full corn rope that makes sense, you're just doing an extended plat, and so also, if you need help cornrowing they're planning tutorials. You can also do a twist there's so many ways to do this, but you girl, not gon na leave her hair. Like this, I'm gon na take this denman knock off brush. I actually have a real Denman. I don't know. This is just what I had on hand and then, once I have to tangled a little bit my roots, I'm taking the regular cream of nature here on my edges. Now it might be like brain. Why did you gel why geez Joe well, since this style is geared towards prom? If you have type 4 hair like I do or type 3 hair like I, because I kind of have a mixture, this works really really well, because it's not going anywhere and the edge control doesn't really have a heavy-water base to it. So it's not gon na make your hair curl up it'll, actually keep your hair very, very sleek. I do suggest adding gel in the front which you'll see later, but after I have added all of this X control, I am going to use a boar bristle brush. You could also use a jam or like any type of holding product that is not water-based. To get your ponytail nice and sleep. Then I'm gon na put my hair in this high ponytail with this brush and a ponytail holder. Once my hair is all secured in this ponytail holder, I'm gon na take my two braids that I did and cross them in an X formation. Then I'm gon na wrap them around my ponytail and pin them boom, and you don't I mean if you pick this out, you could wear it as a big bun, but I got to do her edges for the rest of the tutorial, I'm using some eco styler. Actually on my edges and I'm gon na get use that to basically lay them down in the directions I want, then I'm gon na go back in after I do the Eco salad, with a tad bit of that cream of nature edge control to get them. How? I want take your time on this. Y'All edges are what really makes this style? It'S just a part of it part of the game, and then, after I have done all that and got it. The way that I want. I'M gon na go ahead and proceed for the next part of this style. Now, there's so many ways you can style the top of this button, slash ponytail! You can do a washing bow a twist out and all that. But since I want that elegant, uniform curl, I'm going to be using perm rods today, the orange ones - and I have a perm rod tutorial on my channel. If you guys want to check it out, it's up there and I've done perm rods in a lot of styles, because I just love that uniform curl that I get from them and how long I am able to get them to last, oh and ever AXA mentioned. I am design essentials moose and for the more stubborn strings that I cuz, I didn't blow dry my hair like bone straight or anything for this, I'm using a little bit of that can to stay glue on the ends of some of my strands if they were Still a little bit curly from the blow dry and I'm just applying these rods in time-lapse, I'm showing you my whole head, though I'm not cutting out the end and yeah I use like 24 rods. You can use less. Of course, if you blow dry, your hair out way better you're gon na use smaller sections, also great thing about blow-drying, your hair, you get a sleek look and the drying time is way way way faster. So you could literally do the same day if you wanted to. It, would only take you about four or five hours to dry or less than thirty minutes under a hooded dryer boom. So now that the edges are laid, I'm going to use these hair accessories which really set to look off. This is optional and you can get these at most beauty supply stores that are more of the african-american geared beauty supplies. I don't think Sally sells them, but just you know the stores I'm talking about with all the weaves and all that good stuff. This is called lock jewelry if you're looking for the name. They also saw it on Amazon, so I'm gon na head to bed now really, I did have to bet. I didn't remove the dryer, so this style is very heatless and I even blow-dried my hair on, like warm / cool. So it's super nondamaging and look at how that design essentials defined and my curls, oh my gosh. Another reason why using the foam is so good is it also even increases the drying time that much more and you'll see that I put some of that stigma on the ends in the front. So you can compare the front of my hair to the back. The design essentials is gon na give a softer hold, whereas the stay glue is going to make it more super super defined. So what I'm doing here is I'm just stretching the curls to break any tasks that the product may have left. It really doesn't leave much, but it helps elongate the curls a bit. Then I'm going in and separating the curls. You can add a bit of oil to your fingertips. To do this. I personally didn't do that today that it feel like it to be honest, Lindsay natural, but anyway, I'm gon na separate all of these and look at how pretty that curl pattern. Isn'T how uniform it almost looks like it's a clip-on ponytail, then I'm gon na go in with my afro pick, my best friend and I'm gon na pick at the roots of the ponytail avoid the ends. If you want to keep the definition, if you want it huge, you can pick the ends up, but I highly do not suggest it if you want a very uniform like glam, glam prom look slash spring with, and this is the final look. Let me know if you guys want to see more natural hair tutorials, because you know your girl loves doing a loom and your, I will see you guys in my next. Video have fun at prom, [ Applause, ],
