#MensHaircut #Barber #ShortBackAndSides

Hi guys welcome back to the regal gentlemen, YouTube channel and the hunter collective. Today we've got unseen legit. Now we had a little chat on the couch and first thing was nothing crazy, which is fine. He asked what my crazy was skynyrd or my walk. I think that's probably this crazy, as we go, I think, put in what we thought. We'D do today is quite a nice classic men's vehicle, so scissor caught on the back in sides to an reasonably short length, nothing again, locking crazy. Often though, Scalf exposed and off like that, then we'll do a nice classic taper but just fade up to nothing and then we'll trim the sideburns down as well and on very short on the sideburns. You see like a real nice classic finish to the circle, then at the top just an awful length off so that he can brush it over and play around they're, very low maintenance, so very classic munte, a men's haircut with a very low maintenance finish on the Top so no better product if he wants it apart, if he wants, he can wear, however, cut our uniform finish, not know no part and caught in nothing that at all so yeah, very nice classic finish for a new today. So what we'll do give it? A shampoo condition, and then we'll start with the course I'll show you how to do that, but guys so are just shampooed and conditions underneath here now, with the classic scissor cuts, I'm so gon na do a whole shoe section. Ok, just as I like to separate the top to the back in sides with me doing scissor over comb, I usually start on the back in size. First build the frame of the sides and the back, and that way we can just connect it in the top. Again, it keeps the low mate in this elevate quite easy as well. We'Re just we're in a very standard traditional barbering way of doing this as well, so horseshoe, regular starting from the round of the head and just dropping it down past the the crown and six clown smack bang in the centre as well. So it way expect me, for whichever way he wants to wear his hair as well, which is good, so it gives it a little bit of an easier little maintenance finish and you can wear higher. You wants as well calm it down scissor into your best, the scissor against their scalp that hold it down. First, always easy to chop the hair scissor in lift. It obviously see the kitchen studio, section work it in the comb. Pick your length you wan na, do, and course I always elevate this and went back through the section is like I always went into the section. It'S a lot more seamless that way than just given a standard foot and then working through on again the same ideas. Further over comb, it's getting shorter as you get down to the knee. So I start to angle it now and start to bring my comb conser in to the nape of the head and we're come back up in sit now start to taper this soon you get the closer and closer the point where my comb is now touching. The knee now, what I'll do is our wig through this and just make sure every section it's flush there we go. This will keep it nice and uniform all the way around and we're cutting it to a length that you're not going to see scalp exposed suit. If we're looking at a length of a clipper Faison bought, this would probably be maybe like a god of a six or seven that's what we're looking for, but generally anything over the four I tend to just use scissors just because the guards get so wide. It just leaves quite a lot of hair through so you end up going over and over and over and over again, whereas you just do it in one: go this isn't just working closer. I figured answer the hairline just trying to follow the hairline as well. I'M just following the way his hair grows. That'S why it's always good to do a horseshoe, because by separating the top to the sides in the back, you see exactly on the growth pattern on which way it grows down. We'Re switching guides now we're doing it from the left in turn to the right thing about guide the reasons why we follow them so much, and why they're there? It'S because it's really nice in case you know you get talking to your clients or you have to run and get the door. The phone goes in your shop or something without you. You see it seeing the clients out or wants to buy a product. Whatever the scenario becomes v you in a way and you go oh no way I was able to you - start back up where you're, where you goin disappear. Well, there's my guide! There'S my guide! There'S my guide! Ah, there we go family guide again. So just stops. You from getting lost as well, so you can always pick the back up, but you can't see your guide just don't cut it. I'M gon na try this off before I start. We click away. Anthony'S here is the texture of answers. It'S there's a lot of here where it's a fine texture, so it does fit, can feel it fluffy in some ways and what it is essentially a fine texture. So I think what we've chosen here by going down to this length and working with the scissor, is that it's gon na stay quite full. So I think Scalf exposure for Antony might not have been the best choice, because there would've been quite a strong kind of blending point. If you went my bounds like it's a 1 or 2, I think it would look like patchy as well cause. It'S got that finer texture here, so I think, choose and suit with the scissor and Wakeham visually. I hope short. You go is always quite good for this texture here as well, so working on the mini Clippers now so I'll suspend from the hairline again we're not looking for anything crazy here. So I'm just using this joy just to taper and just to strengthen. So I'm not looking to cut into the hairline too much that's. Why strengthen up a little bit, though, at the sideburn comb in flat against the cheek angle, it outwards now there's a create a nice graduation into the sideways so from the bottom to the top. Then just way pepper over comb to say for that you know just strengthen a little bit, not looking sick again, so sharp on the hairline off too much want something nice and classic. No, I'm not looking to loop this over the year too much we're looking to keep it nice and just just nice, is what we're looking for not going into a harsh line, just starting to flick out at the bottom as well start to work on that graduation. Taper fade whatever you like to call it wait on the other side. Same idea through the sides needs a little more strength on the other side. So I'm probably working a bit more into the hairline on this one just to strengthen it up, but not a lot. Not a lot nothing's gon na be stubble too far into the hairline. I'M just exposing its natural line. Welcome to follow just strengthened number aware: clipper over comb trays, a nice safe room for the net, so angle his head slightly forward. It'S working from where the or sips of bonus here waking a lovely below that and the same principles before with the scissor getting closer and closer and closer good. So I'm going against it using the corner to shove that so match it up to the middle there. We go with a nice natural taper, just give it a hair line, very natural, no square lines, no, nothing just blending it right down now wait onto the tops or switching cones and sit and switching scissors Blanco. We sweating this hair down. Obviously so it's easy for me to section and I'm working out from the crown just late, because I got quite low maintenance, I'm looking to work in the way the hair grows from the hair growth pattern of the crown she wait this out. No, we do work from the front to the back. We lift it up now. I'M gon na suggest this to Dan 3/4 length wise, I would say, low maintenance blend into the sides in the back as well. I would suggest taking off about that. Much try to do less or more good, alright, yeah cool, that's probably what's a half an inch up right, I'm gon na point put into this we're not looking for anything to kind of to blunt or anything on the circle will certain very not very soft, very Natural, I think soft is the key word really is that we don't anything to sort of be too blocky, should we say following the guide getting just before the crown, an angle, it's straight from same thing again, this side bring it off now the only thing that All over thy reppin is the fringe. Naturally, I bring it straight up. As you see, it cares forward. Hairline scares FRA forward, so, as you pick it off, they will automatically over there. There we go I'll, bring it forward from the clouds and just leave and say a half an inch from the crown. I don't know cut that off now. Here'S where we connected in so we wake from the recession points, which is this part here, where angles into the temple. Moving that straight out, we connect it's like a from underneath now. I'M gon na put this uniform, put a lot lock of the texture in the blend and slip on fit to connect, but get my section to staying nice and thin when I'm using both guides to connector that way, it'll perfectly blend into the sides. If you drop it down below the Klan, as you see a lot more length comes through now, but I'm still following me guy, I drop it down, drop it down from the crown right in the center. I see my fingers the same nice and straight I've got a guide there about a guide here. We comb that out from the crown nothing sticking off. It'S all sitting nice, as you see we're getting a nice blend into the sides, a seamless. Now we will go on without but scissor over comb, so essentially, we've done most of the led. That'S done most. The lightweight formula I'll do now is a bring it this way. There'S my god, then this is like classic barber room 101. This is a staple of every sort of barber shop around the run off around the country on the world. Is this kind of technique? This will get you through any haircuts, believe it or not. This you could travel anywhere in the world with this. Just learning the this, these simple techniques, but I put it nice and blogged. Well, that's the same ideas before guide to guide just work around the head, and then we match up in the middle where's our [ __ ] up what we do now. Is you get the fringing again, you want the fringe suffer a little bit of a longer element just because the way it dips down, but I'm just working and following the shape of the hairline as it gets around this. Sadly, it will connect there to there I'll show you on the other side as well died and not all do well, texturized now, so pick it up from the fringe again I'll slide into this forward. Well, this is doing spending the hair out. It'S breaking it up. As well now why I like this technique? If you sliding, through the hair slow motion, is you go on right off and through the hair, so it's creating texture from the bottom, so it's off this graduating or to the top the length would just cause breaking it off nicely. So we're doing texture thinning out as well and sudden a little bit of movement through there as well and we'll just slide with the razor into this as well, we'll just slide through bouncer. Wear it over this side allowance we're over the side as well, and then what we'll do is slide forward into it. Well, just stop, and at the fringe awesome sly cut them. There. We'Ve got a little bit of breaking it off by sliding through it. The scissor took all my different textures working through there to work it off. It'S making sure that's sitting nice just to refine, that's all into the sides and that's a simple plastic. Barbara haircut though so I'll try it off now and then most I'll try it forwards. As the way it wants to grow because again, we're not looking the part of a lot of him to stand it off. We'Re just making sure that when he tries is here in the morning, it falls payable in the way it should do as it will do without anything. What you want to do is when you've tried it off if the fringe still looks a little bit heavy. A little bit thick finish off when it's dry right, so his friends looks a little bit heavy to me there. So what I'll do Darlene is head back up at the fringe up and I'll bring it forward now, but not looking. It'S got length all open to break this off now, so, as you can see, it's quite full and quite heavy right. There close your eyes, so for me everything should laugh way down. Wait what with fences they're just cutting into this fringe Locker? What are they just sit a lot more broken off to work, and this is a straight in front you're, not angle in there anywhere and what you care. There'S a nice softer finish on the finger chica where that found. If you want to do it up, if you wants, it just gives them the option, but if it's fringed a bit too heavy and might look a little bit too blunt when it's sitting down, I'm not looking for anything creative, you it's typical. So what I do? I put a little bit of clay in there I'll just mix it all up in just we're just gon na very natural sort of classic hair style as well right. So I'm gon na finish with a little bit of the real gentleman Matt clay. Litzy, a pea-sized amount will make it all the way through my fingers and just apply it all over. But my thing is as well starting from the crown into the sides and then just making sure again, I was on Vanessa, got a natural start because you wake it all over. This is a bit more hair in the size, now keep it. Where pushed up and over if he wanted to - or you can wear a bit more down on his face or you could be quite creative on the weekend and wear it a lot more style. There'S a beauty of this uniform vehicles as it allows them to mix it all without compromising eight particular look. Take it wear it like that. If you want to as well so again whether it be in uniform and cut into one shape, it just allows him to play around with it not be trying to hold into one look, so he hasn't got a very exciting got anything coming back. It'S the very natural finish so like we said, let's just keep it a bit more conservative when it across Pathan, there's natural part and a lot with foreign like when he came in and scooped everything, nice and down comb it through a little bit as well. To get nothing too crazy, not as formal as it could be, it's just a little bit natural again that beauty of doing the haircuts is that I think, just a standard kind of bar room 101. It just allows them to wear any way. He wants. Yeah happy awesome man. Thank you very much. Anyone who wants this look and I get again to know what I'll be I'll be completely honest. It'S a short back and sides right, but it's just a scissor cuts. So more than asking for like a number three or number four number, six or whatever just ask for a physical short back and sides and then just a whatever length you want to go on top. That'S it don't ask for a side part, don't ask for the luxury. I need to think you look to say. I just want to show up at a size a little bit off the top I'd say most barbers knows what know about it.

James Molloy: Crazy how fast and efficiently you were able to create such a great shape! Love look 3

Nikki Paré: This is easily the most informative and direct instruction I have found in 2 years' time. I don't know why but I have always struggled with scissor over comb until watching you do it flawlessly. I also love the natural hairline in the back. My son and husband both have "rat tail" hair lines, lol. Impossible to square off for a non-professional and even roubd hair lines in the back seem silly. Also, they both have multiple cowlicks so cutting their hair has never been joyous, especially in the crown area! But you just made it all seem so simple and reasonable. Getting ready to cut my husband's hair now. Thanks. **Update: His hair turned out FANTASTIC. Best he's ever had. He asked me to cut it like this every time. Thanks!!

Elizabeth Federman: Cut my son's hair last night and, thanks to you, it looked great! Thanks so much.

Lynne: Thank you so much! I was successfully able to cut my husband's hair. His hair looks just like the model's. The layers aren't as finely spaced, but it's not noticeable from a distance. You are a terrific teacher, and the photography was excellent.

Mariam MJ: Can't believe how easy he makes it look, it's not! My poor husband is waiting for the 3rd attempt since coronavirus. I'm going to have to watch a bit more of Dan's tutorials, SO refreshing to see someone really good at what they do! Not many professionals are able to teach their craft. This man is a treasure!

Dasenka M: Thank you for this thorough video of men’s haircut. You are a true artist. I cut my partner’s hair tonight. I took me over an hour. He doesn’t look hideous but I cannot honestly say it’s as easy as it looks on your video. Thanks ever so much for showing the technique bit by bit.

Kathleen Tan: Thank you for your guidance! Helped me immensely with my husband's haircut - I only ever cut my son's hair before so I was pretty nervous! Turned out OK, not great obviously but my husband is happy - he can't stand the heat of having long hair. We miss our respective hairdressers so much!!

Lonnie Swafford: Great video. Very professional and most informative. You make it look far easier than it really is, but explain the process in nice detail. Kudos are yours sir.

Catarina Bakker: This guy's helping everyone out during these quarantine weeks

Cynthia RM: Beautiful cut! You're a master to watch, very enjoyable, there is NO way an amateur could do this!

cris a: Very well explained. Simple yet clean. Great job my guy

Sara Rios: This tutorial is so easy. I had to watch it 4 times straight in order to get the confidence to cut my son's and my husband hair. I think Ive been doing a pretty good job so far I've cut their hair 3 times each in the last few months

Caity Stretton: I used this as my guide last night to cut my partners hair and it turned out amazing! Wish I could post a picture thank you!

Kevin Nestor: Hi Dan I was taught to cut using the pick up scissors technique by a great older barber. Its the only time I've seen it done online. Not many young barbers know how to do it. It's a dying art. Keep up the good work

Daniela DiBenedetto: Thank you, Regal Gentleman for helping me figure out how to cut my Dad's hair without a razor. I appreciate your work! You are mesmerizing to watch, especially now after attempting to do it myself. Thanks, again! Cheers!

Devi rajmohan: Thanks for posting this video...used the technique to cut my father's hair. So easy to follow

Coach Sarah Mitchell: Thank you so much! We have a high risk family member in our household, so going to the salon for any of us is not an option. Too risky. I followed your instructions to cut my husbands hair and he looks great! He said he feels professional looking again. WIN! Thank you so much! So, so grateful you made this!

Shezani16: Thank you so much for this tutorial. My husband loved his haircut. Its the first video I saw and it was so helpful!

Jessica Smothers: This was really helpful! I just cut my dad's hair and it turned out pretty decent. Thanks for sharing

Sharon Qaranivalu: Wow as a beauty consultant for over 50 yrs, I've never seen such a beautifully executed haircut ever. Well done sir...loving this.

Janet Moss: Loved this video truly inspired. Great to see a professional make cutting hair look so easy. So skilled and truly passionate about his work. Fantastic job.

RunTFC: I discovered the impossible. No need to look at any other barber styling tip videos because I've found the person I like and trust in Dan. Just watched this video and from the beginning, his confidence and skill run throughout this instructional video. Not to mention I want Dan's haircut on my head! Bravo Dan, you're the best.

Sunshine H: Looks great! Thank you for this comprehensive tutorial. My husband is getting his first haircut from me this week. *Gulp*

Mandy Wilson: Thanks for this tutorial. I'm quite happy with the result on my 24 year old son who hasn't had a hair cut since January. It's not bad if I do say so myself and I'll tidy it up a bit next time he washes his hair. I think I was a bit too tentative on the top section, but it's perfectly presentable :)

Helen Claire: Brilliant guide. I cut my sons hair. 1st time I've ever done it. Turned out great. So pleased, actually looks like a professional cut! But I did use clippers a little more than the professional around the back to tidy up!

Elaine Schade: Thank you so much for your videos. As a person with no hair cutting or styling skills, your videos were a godsend as I was prepping to cut my husbands hair due to the Coronavirus. Your demos are clear and easily understandable. THANK YOU!

Veronica Cantin: Watched this video, poured a glass of wine, and cut my husband's hair. It looks fantastic. Thank you so much!

Joe Saega: Best short back and sides cut I've seen done Loved the way you broke it down real simple.

Cyrillius1: Thank you for this video, it was very helpful! I used it today to cut my partner's hair and it came out nice!

Tamilla Van Aerden: Thank you so much, guys! Worked perfectly on my bf’s hair. No one believes I did it at home

Jennifer Pepmiller: Really good tutorial. I love that you didn't use a clipper. That has never turned out well on my husband. I attempted his hair for the first time over the weekend and it turned out great. I love your tip about using the scissors to make a part first. I fumbled here and at one point wasn't thinking and stuck a hair filled comb in my mouth!

Christopher Naughton Media: OMG, we are still speaking to each other after I cut his hair! Your instructions were perfect, thank you. But I hope to never have to do it again ... the PRESSURE!

Katie Lewis: Thank you for this great video, I was charged with cutting my husbands hair after 15 weeks of lockdown. This video was easy to understand and follow, pleased to say one very smart haircut (even if I say so myself!) and one happy husband. Only downside I think I have just given myself a permanent job!!!

Vidya Kane: This is so helpful during these crazy times! Thank you very much for a detailed video

Abbie Sayre-Bodenmiller: Used this to cut my son's hair the other day. It looks great. I appreciate your videos you are a great teacher.

John Kay: This barber is ridiculously talented, giving a crazy precision cut al the while giving rapid fire commentary. Bravo.

Basia Bhojraj: I greatly appreciate this video. I only had office scissors and a short basic black comb, but my husband's haircut turned out really great! My son took a time-lapse video and our friends loved watching me go for it. I even kept this video going while I was cutting and just your voice was reassuring and soothing. This was the first time I ever cut anyone's hair and my hands were shaking for the first ten minutes but I found my groove after that and truly enjoyed the act of cutting hair. It gave me the same joy as gardening to be honest. Lots of love to you guys for sharing this video to help folks out.

D: Dan you are the best!!! Thank you for explaining how to make a strong hair line. I always end up cutting too much into the hairline and then I have to fix it. That was awesome. You are so nice to listen to. I love you accent. And your model was nice looking! Love you tattoos!

Skippy2wise: Thank you so much, this has been a lifesaver. I've not cut hair for over 25 years, left to do my nursing degree! Just ordered new scissors and have just cut my 14 yr old's hair..... not done too bad to say it's been so long! Damn those scissors are sharp though, forgot how much it stings when you nick your knuckle!! Stay safe everyone.
