Hey this is Mahesh here for a beer brand today were gon na, be cutting Ali's hair at gentleman Rose Club. Oh, what so Ali's got a bit of a this is what we called the classic lego. Man haircut he's gone if he was jaundice. He would be perfect, but he's not so so we have to make up make up the idea of him being yellow if he looked like a Simpsons character, he looked lucky that I go man when he look, he has got the classic Mega Man, hair, cousin E, So what we're going, what we're going to do we discuss this and we we're gon na cut away. This is today only I'm not really using the Clippers real loads of texture to it, but I like the length through here. What do you think you have happy that yeah and then yeah? It just take loads of weight out of it and texturize it those yeah. So we use lots of different techniques to give you the texture through the haircut and we'll, do that all right. Okay, then, we've sectioned it off a little bit just on the sides, so we're gon na narrate through this alright. So we're going to go straight in scissor over comb, it's no different from using the Clippers, in the sense that you know you start at the side. What your way around, but this grows out completely differently when it's scissor over comb cut, it will look so much so much softer when it grows out and the finished effect is softer as well looking for the texture so we'll go through with the scissors to take The length that we that we don't want away and then the rest of the haircut all we done texturizing scissors and different techniques, so repeating on the other side. What we've done on the first section, just taking away some of the length through the front scissor over comb, so we're cutting the angle against the hair growth, so the hair grows one way, I'm going to push the hair away and cut against it, and when I Push it back, it will lay flat. So I work away across the hair growth and when I push it back, it lays flat just free and some sheet now scissor over comb. All around the edges, just you know, check the length go back through this section. You see that I'm going cutting an angle. The hair is going to sit, so you can see the way that that has moving around the head, the one where starts to incorporate the top and blend it in besides now can I just say for the record that this is nor fade. This is not a fade. This is not fade so cutting out the angle, if you notice that every time I pick up my section, my actual my hand is pointing in the direction I want the hair to fall into. So when I pick up a section and then wait to sit, this certain particular way my hand, my fingers are pointing in the direction I want to go in. You start to see that it's just softens up that shape. We'Re gon na keep some of the length at the front on the right thing: yeah so through the top we're gon na retexturize that and blend it all in because you you know it's heavy, your hair, isn't it so we want to take that weight out of It anyway, so we're gon na leave this crown here and I'll, keep that a little bit of length through there just for now. So I completely ignore that and I go straight in front of it in my first section, then I'm gon na cut from my finger up and out I'm gon na leave some of hair to retain a little bit link nice deep section is loads of texture. Synthesis are on my finger and just see soaring the action and yeah you will end up with strands of little bits of hair just coming through the whole point of that. Is that that's what gives you the texture? That'S what gives you that softer effect with a haircut and work our way back from the front connecting the top to the sides, picking up sections working our way back, no more Lego hair, so we still get still kept. The link that I haven't cut any of the lengths away, but what I'm going to do is just go tidy it all way through okay, so look that he was going for when he came in he's like that is exactly what I want to go for. Okay, what I want to do is dry it through and then we'll see if we anymore off the link and see if we need any more texture cut through the hair. At the moment, I can't retell when it's dry, all right. So we'll do that and then we'll tidy all the edges. Take it from there: okay mate, so we're using the nozzle allowing the module to do the work, we're not trying to get too much volume in the hair. Really, as you can see, if you come closer Carlos voila voila, as you can see like where we've texturized the top, you can see that there's lots of layers in their hair separates out by itself. That'S what we're going for. We draw it through and now we need some texturizing scissors, so the initial, the initial work that we've done is all about. You know, building at the shape, taking the lengths the way that we needed to take away now, we're going to just create softness and texture with the texturizing scissors and literally gon na go over with the very very ends of the hair. It really softens up the whole haircut, so I'm using a really nice long tooth comb getting nice big sections through so the tip would be. You can do this on any haircut really, but it's all about just just touching the very very ends of the haircut. It just gives it that slightly softer finish to it, and this is this haircut, it's all about just you know, just a classic short back and sides really which we don't do loads of in the barber shop. I mean you can use our scissors a lot. So it's nice to actually see someone coming in and asking for something like that and then through the front. Why why do is I want to obviously soften this up, so he doesn't end up looking like a lego man, all the time, so we're gon na come in through this way, pick up the hair and very soft knit out reason why I'm coming in this way Is because this is my length at the fringe, and if I come in this way, I can always retain the length in the fringe. If I came in straight through, I just keep picking up picking they're picking up and I'll end up taking more and more length off this way, I'm only taking the way out, adding texture to the hair. Tidying the edges up and this sort of haircut doesn't come alive until you've put a little bit of product on it. Really that's where we that's when it really looks its best minutes, we've given a little bit of product. Okay, I want to show you something on his hair. They always got. If you look here, he's got what makes it use like a crown there there's a half hair pattern: hair growth there, which makes his hair grow funny. So I am gon na go in with a clip of guard just a one and just push it up and then come back down on top of it just to soften it up, play the guard and that just blends it out okay. So this looks like a pretty straightforward haircut and then, when we put a little bit of product in it, that's when you see all the texture, so I'm going to grab a little bit of a matte texture product. That was that me. Yeah yes, smiling with the face. That'S it smile with the face not just with the heart. Icecandy281: Thank you for this! I've done my husband's hair twice with the help of this video. Thankfully my cordless clippers already arrived and I don't need to do a full scissor cut anymore

Tina Neumann: Wonderful and helpful video. Thanks so much for making this and sharing your expertise. Bet you never thought it would be so necessary. Going to use this to cut my son's hair.

Wesley Walker: Super refreshing video overall! Not a common cut for people to do a tutorial loved the dialogue you had with your client and viewers thank you

Mim Zilla: Hey man thank you for this. Just cut my dads hair with these techniques and he loved it!

Camay c: Thanks, this is exactly what I needed to scissor cut my husband's hair during #lockdown2020uk. He's now so delighted & relieved to have the weight taken out of his hair. Perfect, easy to follow tutorial.

Kristin Becks: Totally needed a tutorial like this for my little boys’ hair-Thank you!!! You are saving them from a butchered Mommy chop!

El Sea: Thank you so much Mahesh!! I love that you switched it up and your scissor work is fantastic!! As an apprentice barber I always look forward to learning as much as I can from you, and greatly appreciate your time and effort in making these helpful and fun videos!! Beardbrand barbers rock!!! ☄

Rosalynn TT Nguyen: You are such a talented artist. You make it look so easy yet cutting witch scissors demands so much technique$

Pauline Dodd: Thanks! Now to try it on my husband while we are isolating. You make it look easy :)

Carlyml 61: Thank you! I just successfully cut my man’s hair after watching you!

Lauren Luck: Thank you! The first tutorial I’ve found with a genuine explanation

m tesc: For his hairline and hair texture it's perfect. Especially the top, it has length but isn't heavy or choppy. He can always ask for the sides to be done with clippers next time to get a more defined look around the ears. If you are at home and don't have clippers, this is great. Good job Sir.

Mahde: Barber: "What do you want fam?" Dude: "Did you see my hair before entering this barbershop?" Barber: "Say no more"

pam6116: Using this video as a guide I am now a very basic haircutter! This was easy to follow and as long as I went slow and kept watching, the cut was great. Thank you Mahesh!

Let's Kill Time: As a woman that really doesn’t like getting a haircut unless I have to, I know nothing about men’s grooming. But I find these videos quite interesting and relaxing to watch. Thanks for the great content!

alberlan: Muito Bom cara! Parabéns!!

Campos Alves Vandir: Muito bom perfeito

Kain Sanchez: This is about as natural as you can get with a haircut while still keeping it clean. As someone with dark straight hair, my fade only lasts two weeks before it's obvious I need a cut. Line ups, forget about it. After a month it's not even a fade anymore. This man's head only gets slightly bigger after a month thats it. This is a smart haircut imo.

Robert Queberg: A real treat to watch this guy’s work, and reasoning behind the technique.

JP: Mahesh was the best barber Beardbrand's ever had. Miss him...

Dorca Encarnacion: You are so good at giving instructions and this video is pretty rad! Thanks for sharing

Kathie Sullivan: THANK YOU. watching your video before giving my husband a COVID19 cut gave me the confidence to succeed. Although it took me two hours to trim his , beard neck and give him a hair cut. We were both very happy with the outcome. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Jaime Valenzuela: Awesome haircut! Sometimes "simple" looks are the best. And i Really think that a Haircut like this is much more hard to do right than a tipical fade...

Kevin O: I have the same mirror too!! Great tutorial! I will try the carving technique you perform on the top. Cheers !

Ysa Curay - Cunanan: Who's here because of the quarantine? Im trying to learn how to cut my husband's hair!

Chuck: Super scissor cut, my retired barber used these techniques and I was always pleased with his barber skills. He also mixed clipper and scissor cuts for those requesting a certain style.

Soumya Jain: First attempt at cutting my husband's hair looking at this video. Quite useful, thanks! And the haircut turned out satisfactory :P

Beth Conroy: Every time - you rock! Thank you for sharing your work!

Corey Schulz: I know I comment on all of your videos lately, but they are SO good. My haircuts have improved significantly since I subscribed to you guys. Thanks as always.

MHRise97: I always get a rough result when doing an entire scissor over comb haircut wet. If I blow dry it and scissor over comb the haircut it works better for me. You got some skills man

Hells- Bells: My husband wont trust me to cut his hair (I did just suggest shaving it all off if it went wrong) till I watch a load of videos. This really, really helped. I sort of knew from watching ot being done all the time but it really helps when someone goes through jt

Rafi: You’re a grand master, man. Totally awesome!

Pia Suzan: I just watched half of this video and cut my boyfriends hair because all hairdressers are closed in germany rn because of the corona virus It turned out pretty well, he's happy haha thanks for the great video! (I've never cut mens hair before and I'm also not a hairdresser, and this was the only video I've watched on cutting mens hair so yeah hahah thanks a lot!) :)

Yolanda S. González: Great video!!thanks so much for your showing us, since I’m trying to learn to cut my boyfriend hair!! I loved it, you make it look so easy!!

Joy: Thanks for showing this hair cut. I love it.

Shelby: This was so enjoyable to watch, thanks man!

Fixin' Frenzy: Cool. Gotta give my dad a haircut tomorrow so this was very helpful. Thanks.

CuriousGeorge: Love the cut. Looks classy and stylish Thankfully it’s not fade.

Brenda Tough Grimes: Great cut and you have given me some tips as I learn to cut my husband's hair - thanks.

LadyFireHorse: I came across your channel because I wanted to find out which cutting tools (eg. combs, shears) professionals prefer. I noticed that you're using a YS Park comb. Which YS Park comb would you recommend for someone like me who only cuts hair occasionally. I have some haircutting experience and prefer to use good quality tools. I hope you are all doing okay during this COVID-19 pandemic. It must be extra challenging especially for all of you who are in the service industry where social distancing makes it impossible for you to do your job. Stay safe and Godspeed!

Dray: "Is that alright?" That moment when you really wanna say "no it's shit" but you smile awkwardly and say "Yes thanks mate".

Rubby Darias: Hi Mahesh, great work! Can you please do a tutorial about hairstyles like Mario Adrion's? I'm puzzled about how he can have that long hair on top without a lot of volume. Thank you! :)

Sanjay Krish: It gives so much pleasure to see the hair being cut nicely..

horrid: trying to learn how to cut hair and this video seems helpful, great haircut, I think the shape on the top left side of his head could look better, but this helps with learning texturing

Plus Bonus: Great cut this . So different from the hipster clones. Also bravo for not using the clippers except for aesthetic necessity. Good day sir.

Rodrigo Rollo: O curso da Alura esta bombando!!!

BritishTeaBagZ: I literally only came here to learn how to trim my partners hair, he always wants me to cut it but I don't understand how short hair works, so I always bodged it up in my opinion (he just wants short on back and sides for some relief) but hopefully if I follow these tips I can make it look more natural and not a total mess

Beth Conroy: ready for my first cut! Thanks.

Victor Mendez: I wonder how many of today's barbers are able to be as good with scissors as they are with trimmers.

J M: You guys are harsh, he did a great job. Lad wanted a trim, he got a great one. Well done!

Lorna Maria: I could watch you cut hair alday, your skill is soooo lovely to watch, it was always my biggest dream to do barbering but I've now reached an age where nowhere in my town will teach an older lady a truely talanted man xxxxxxxx

Neil Walker: I wish I had the opportunity to work with you. You could teach me a lot

JJ Lacey: i am so nerve ridden about going for a job. ive been cutting for years but am now 48. this is my default cutting technique (the scizzor over comb) it feels very natural and i feel in total control. i recently went for a refresher course to steady my nerves and came out using pure sectioning techniques... i don't like it and have gone back to my default. i also get my hands well into the hair and cut. am i doing the right thing ? the haircuts are great in my opinion but not sure what to do now and for the future. after a nervy cut today i watched this and we cut almost identical !!!!! you made me happy today and gave me back a little confidence. thank you

Fleotus Bing: Awesome, Mahesh, really great cut!  Thanks BB, for bringing this content....very entertaining and informative!

Mar 😉: Handsome lad, love your new haircut, looks fabulous! Kudos to your barber for a job well done, cheers!!

Colonel Kurtz: Wish i could visit Mahesh to trim my locks, this is exactly what i need, NOT a shaved short haircut, just something to keep the length, style and tidy everything up, whilst managing the sheer volume of my thick hair! Clearly half the commentors here have no idea what it's like to have such hair and style needs.

Marcin W: Very nice and relaxing work with great results✂✂✂

NBS: This is the haircut that I've been looking for

finalspark: anyone else here due to covid-19? lol good luck!

Gregoire Woore: Great confident barber...and he has a very pleasant speaking voice...nice vid!

waleed A: a lot of ppl hating on this amazing work...its not easy to do a clean subtle hair cut

Jill: My dad wants me to cut his hair so this is the 1000th tutorial im watching.. im gonna cry doing it

Stephen Chavira: That was an awesome haircut!

Des Mar: Wow. Great haircut. Not overdone. Very nice. What a pleasure. God bless.

Steve-in-Cornwall: Great hair cut. The model looks awesome. I envy him.

Sabrina Larson: thanks to you I can cut my hubby's hair! Super video and great fun guy

D P: Let me preface this by saying I myself am a barber. I have never engaged on any sort of social media platform, but I have watched many of the tutorial videos that your brand uploads to share and better educate folks that are possibly looking to move into this field of work. Some of the videos have been solid. This is not one of those videos. The only reason I'm writing this is because I feel terribly sorry for the folks misinformed by this mans haircutting abilities. Its truly a bummer that people snag a few hand tats and trendy clothing and throw on an apron and call themselves barbers. Its a shame for the rest of us that have continuously educated themselves and have a genuine passion for this industry. The era of self proclaimed "educators" needs to stop. be smart and seek out correct education. Nothing wrong with putting the tools down and watching. Be Humble. First off, terrible. why you would ever scissor over comb someones entire head while it is wet is ridiculous. that was the first indication this barber has no clue what he's doing. Secondly, as mentioned in previous comments the parting is so jacked, incredible crooked. Thirdly, Shear work aside, the skillset with the edgers was awful. no part of that was precise or careful, just sloppy. Lastly, If you have to rely on product to make your the cut look good, Probably means the cut isn't so hot. Putting your client down so much to make it seem like your doing him a service and creating a good cut is insanely rude and unprofessional. The later version of his "lego" cut looked just as bad as his when he walked in. The difference is that this barber put time and effort into letting this poor customer walk out looking like that. end rant.

Elvera Bedonie: Awesome skills, too many "barbers" just use clippers. But real barbers use shears also . Luv the way you explain everything...❤❤

Zxyw 0987: Man I wish I could find somebody to cut my hair by like this gentleman. I have to cut my own hair due to getting consistent butchered haircuts. I had one haircut worth raving about by a very angry beautiful woman. She was so angry she didn't say a word to me but performed magic that I wish could be duplicated.

Roxann Official: time to give my boyfriend a haircut tomorrow, this here is the corona cut mate thanks

Phuc Nguyen: Great work ! Your voice is really relaxing that can also make this video be ASMR

Darrel C: Feel so relaxed watching this haircut

Tom McGraw: Thank you so much. So few shear only videos out there!

HMA Hisham: learned a lot : first you start by insulting your customers to make them think that they are ugly second you do any work after that insult and they feel great no matter how they look like

Erin black: Thank you ! Really good video and so satisfying

Alexandre Magalhães: Show! Parabéns.

Jerame Stauffer: This guy is the guide line to a hipster life

Eric Bandholz: Great fade work Mahesh. Probably one of the best fades I've seen on this channel.

Gavin Masterson: You’re a genius. You make me proud of barbershops and I don’t even know a real one

geoffrey hackett: Mahesh, what kind of shears are you using? Both regular and blending. What brand are they? Also very nice technique

DaTruthhurts666 !: Wow, shear over comb really helped me out, thanks

JP Gil: Quarantine gold! Thank you!

Cian Papazian: Great cut, great barber

John Barricelli: great video as always. i hope you're still cutting hair by the time i get to London. its on my bucket list to get my haircut by you.. such a talent...

Million Dollar Lex: Love your video but lived how you explained why you're doing what you're doing. 5 points for that tash BTW

Mikah Marie: Trying to learn how to cut my man’s hair, he refuses to go to the barber shop. I have much to learn though I am ill equipped. I only have scissors— poopy hair scissors. It really helps to watch videos that are scissor based.

bze06FishinBwai: You have a unique way of cutting hair, Great Job and Vid!!!

TM: I am a hairstylist in Canada... I love your work and style... lmao "lego hair" keep up the awesome content

ViVa LiBeRdaDE: Love your explanation clean and direct... Love the classic Make me happy escape from fade some time Hugs from Brazil

Alden D'Costa: 12:01 he looked so happy before the haircut

Bhavna Adesara: Watching this old videos due to lockdown in India ! ♥️nice haircut

Rock 'n Barber: Very perfect❤️

Marija Lebo: I feel like this is a great cut for someone who didn't want to go too short which that's what the client seemed to want. For the clients face however this seems like a cut that would suit a much younger boy perhaps 16 or younger. However I liked the layering technique

ZombiePyrate: There's something about these videos that makes me want to be a barber ?????

Artemis Hunter: That's the coolest barber I've ever seen
