Learn how to cut this classic brushed back men's hairstyle. Learn how to cut with the barber scissor over comb to give a graduated men's hairstyle.

Okay, this is it if you hold your comb properly like we are you notice that here, that pair is never going in the comb, so we're not in danger of cutting a hole in the corners so very important to understand and know what head shape you're going For before we start that's why we have a nice graphic illustration included with the shape of the head and the shape of the haircut. So, if you're confused, you can refer to that, and you can now get a clearer picture. What we're going to do is we're going to over direct the hair from the bottom and cut right use that for our guide and cut right into that. It would be the same as if you pull the hair out vertically, with your scissor over fingers technique. We'Re cutting the same hair, it's just easier on the body and more accurate. So we begin with the scissor over comb technique. Very small sections. Every few cuts comb the hair back down, make sure to over direct the hair from the hairline. We want to leave a low natural, hairline, okay, so same thing in this corner, I'm going to take the Clipper in a closed position and once I get to the hairline, I'm going to scoop it out very slowly. So I want to leave a nice natural outline. I don't want to take it, make a real sharp line and then we're going to work our way around the ear. Then the head slightly to the side now, for this step, we're going to hold the ear down with the comb. Okay and when you clean that up, you want to keep the Clipper in the open position and remove some of that bulk. And what this is going to do is this top layer of hair that we're cutting is what's pushing the hair forward and making it look. So bulky we're removing that layer. So when you're combing the hair back, it stays back easier. So we're going to work that all the way around the head and we're going to make sure to start by the ear and not in front because we don't want to take it's not the thickest here. It'S the thickest from the front of the ear all the way around to the front of the other year. So that's the area that we're focusing okay for a review before we style a haircut. I want to take my vent brush brush the hair all the way through all the while, looking in the mirror to make sure that we have the shape that we talked about in the introductory we're gradually from shorter, around the edges to longer towards the top. Without there sticking out on the sides, just like we said, the best sign is when you don't have any styling product in the hair at all and hair is not sticking up, not sticking out it's in the exact shape that you intended.
