Thanks so much for your interest in my videos and my brand "TheSalonGuy". It means the world to me! Watch celebrity Red Carpet Interviews, Fashion Events, Hair Shows, Celebrities, Motivation, Inspiration, Hair Tutorials, How To's, Education and videos in the Salon and Beauty Industry.

I started TheSalonGuy brand 5 years ago after the passing of my Mother and discovering a role model of mine who has a few books on turning your passion into a business. I have spent the last 20+ years in the salon industry, tech and fashion. I left the industry at some point to become a Fireman and Aux. Police Officer. I did 6 years service and resigned shortly after 9/11.

I have a passion for helping people, educating and motivating. I work with major brands, local businesses and individuals looking to expand and grow.

My videos will be focused on celebrity hairstyles, athletes, models, actors, social media stars and event videos.

What'S going on guys, Steve Anderson la guy here and today I have Joey now Joey is a very, very special individual, because I know his father Joe mess Thalia right who's, your father, a really a great guy and Joe said to me. Your father said to me: he goes if my son's haircut does not come out right. The fingers are all gone. Okay and you're gon na be doing videos in a trunk nah, I'm kidding, but anyway this is really exciting, because the haircut we're doing today, Joey was inspired by the Anakin Skywalker video that I did in the past, and so he goes. You know I'm looking for something like that and I figured he's a perfect candidate for this type of haircut. So what I'm gon na do I'm just gon na kind of spin your round, so everyone can see what we're dealing with here. So a lot of his hair. What we're gon na be doing is kind of rebalancing and reshaping. His hair has a bit of curl and wave to it, which I'm going to take into consideration the mannequin I used had pretty much fully straight hair, so in certain areas like in through here, I may need to have it grow a little bit just kind of Shape it up and then in some other areas like in through here, where it's not really layered, I have to make some sort of connection so that when you go back like this, it all has a nice flow together. That'S what we're looking for a nice flowing through here. The good thing is he's, got a side part right in through here this. I don't want to really cut any shorter. I just want to skim the ends, so this is really good right in through here and then this I need to connect. So we have some cosmetics reconstructive surgery to do here. You know I mean that's what I call it a reconstructive surgery, all right. So now what I'm gon na do is I'm going to rake his hair back, bring a head back a little bit all right and now this is where all the layering that I did is coming into play now. So I'm gon na work all this hair back bring us all forward like this. So remember: Anakin's, hair. He had a you know a lot of a lot of fullness and volume in through here kind of like kind of like this yeah, which this does. This has tons of volume. So let me just take this off here, so everyone I want to tell you a little story. Ok, I want to tell everyone a little story. Joey, I'm gon na tell everybody a nice little fun story. So after I washed Joey's hair, I feel like I'm 7/3 right now after I washed his hair, we came back. I stopped the camera and I did like the world's best tutorial and I forgot to hit the record button again. Oh gosh help, god help me, so unfortunately we missed the entire haircut that I did. However, what I want to do is kind of explain to you, because you saw Joey's hair before I did get the intro, thank God, but what I want to do is kind of break down exactly what I did so with all my haircuts is, I always make Sure that we start with a solid foundation into here, so his hair before was a little bit kind of stringy. The ends are a little bit dead and what I want to do was strengthen up that line and through here which we did and then I worked. It from here going upwards this way there were some pieces that were a bit disconnected into here, so what I did is I actually blended everything in and, as you can see just from even going like this look at that look at the solid foundation we have Now right, which was wasn't like this before so by cutting it and and creating fullness into the hair cut that allowed us to do this, and then I worked it all the way into the front. So the front is about just to the just past the nose right in through here, so you want to make sure that when you're bringing the hair forward to bring it down, it's long enough to go back. If you cut it too short, it's not gon na have that that flow. As you can see, you're running my fingers to it everything just kind of works in and it's got that nice fullness in through here I did the same thing on the other side, or I created my Salah foundation working upwards towards the face again. Here'S that solid line that we created on the on the bottom and again the fullness in through here - and I mentioned before - that I didn't - want to cut a whole lot off the top and through here. I actually wanted to leave some of this a bit longer and just skim the dead ends so that it grew into the bottom and through here. So now everything is blended in together, but this I want this to be just a little bit longer so as it grows, it's gon na grow into itself in a very, very nice shape, but again it has a good flow and everything is working seamlessly. Then, throughout the back, what I did is I held everything straight up from the head, and this is my kind of traditional layered haircut and I'd done this in a lot of my videos made sure that I didn't go too short with this, because if I cut This too short considering his hair. One is not only wavy, slash curly. If I cut this too short, it's gon na spring up way up to here, and I wanted to keep the fullness right in through this area and then remove some of the weight, even though it's too long down on through here, so that it's all balanced together. Then I connected the back into the top working all the way forward, the very very front - let's just bring this all down this way. So if people want to see how long this is the very very front is just to the tip of the nose right in through here - and I work this all back. This is all layered held everything up. This way did the corners and the sides very important understand that when you're cutting here, you've got the top the corners and the sides, which is, which is what I did in when I was cutting it. I didn't over direct this way over the top. Everything was brought out. The way grew out grows out from the head. So when I blow dried it, I then used my product, tidal wave, which is my sea salt spray, which everybody knows and loves, and then I used my crafted blow dry cream and that is what's giving it kind of that support and it's helping de-frizz it too, Because with curly or wavy hair, the hair can become very, very frizzy right Joey. It gets a little frizzy right right so now now, there's no frizz and the the style itself is a bit locked in and settled in which I like, and it's very controlled too. So I made sure then I went in and cross-checked everything did a little bit of texturizing but other than that, the blow-dry process. I started off using my hands and then I did go back in with a round brush just to create that kind of fullness into here, and you can really really really get tons of volume in through here just cuz. It look at that see what I did. They look and look into the see that you can get a lot of volume just from going in and scrunching it up, and you know and again this is this - is blow dried straight, his natural texture. It would look a little bit different, almost like a timothy Shalem, a type haircut cuz. His hair is a little bit curly, ER and wavier, but um yeah, and this is pretty much the finished result here. Let'S just do a quick spin around, so everyone can see. Keep going keep going looking good, beautiful, all right now, Joey! I want you to stand up now, Joey, and I were talking about Star Wars for 45 minutes and uh yeah, but we're going to talk now about it so stand up. I want everyone to see your shirt, he's a big Star Wars, buff yeah, step back a little bit, yeah right in the center look at that. That is the sickest Darth Vader shirt that is sick, that is, sick. I'Ve never even seen those yeah. It'S got like a little graphic on the weird you even get those I own of them online. You know I got them on the adidas website, but I found really are they like normally like? Are they like, like the easy level price? That'S pretty awesome. Well, anyway, I I hope you guys enjoyed this again. It'S good to see him here, stand up a little bit like this, so you could see the the difference between the before and after look on all the fullness we have into here now you can run your fingers through it. It'S got the flow in it. You know we still got some length and everything I think we did a great job. What do you think? I appreciate it? I appreciate a man, so thank you guys so much for watching stay, safe and healthy. Don'T forget to Like comment and subscribe I'll see you next time for more videos with long you

Isolated: Your tutorials helped me so much i am finally happy i got a good haircut. Also having a good hairdresser helped massively

Djtaco Is Noice: This is an awesome haircut! I'm wondering however if you could do an interpretation of Jim Morrison's 'Helmet Hair' in 1967 and 1968, I am not sure if it's cut all in one length or in layers (I am trying to get that type of hairstyle haha)

Ted Mosby: "If my son's haircut doesn't come out right the fingers are all gone and you're gonna make videos in a trunk" Stephen: lmao just kidding Us: Stephen blink 3 times if you're a hostage

Me: Finally got my actual hair on you’re vlog, excited to watch the video on how you will cut it step by step, but sad to say it wasn’t recorded. But still i love the video and the explanation as i have same hair as him. Now i know what will i tell to my stylist when i need to have a haircut from growing out my hair. Thanks Steven for sharing you’re talent. Take care & God bless

Yudisthira Agung: just what i needed after this quarantine! gonna give this footage for the next haircut.

Francisco O: Great video! Do you have any tips for trimming sideburns by yourself ? Since my hair grows really fast on the sides, I don't have to go to the barber every ten days or so. Just how to balance it and make it look good, I have tried different ways but maybe there is a "better" way (maybe just use scissors instead of a clipper or something like that). Thanks!

Jayn Novack: Just the hair tutorial I was looking for✨

fivemile13: Looking forward to the recut in a couple months when everything is the right length!

Honey bee Barbecue: I would die to get a haircut by this god

Veyron722skyhook: Finally showed me what I'd been doing wrong in trying to get something along these lines.

Alphyy: Hey salon guy, I have a question. I have naturally wavy/curly hair. But ever since I was about 11 Ive been straightening it. Long and very thick. My hair rarely is unstraighten. Is getting hairstyles like this, layered, okay? Should I tell a stylist that my natural hair is wavy?

Ali Habib: That's my hair right there Keep going the best hair stylist ever

PeterGregg: Wow, this kid looks like a big handsome movie star now. Styling done by a master!! Thumbs up

Tk the ghost: This manikin loos really realistic

303 v: Thank you for the video. I wonder how his hair looks like when the straightening fades away. It should jump back to curly endings, isn´t it?

Emlex: Can you do Taylor Holder hair tutorial I’ve been searching YouTube but no where to be found all I know is you are the best at showing these tutorials, I would appreciate it keep up the great work ❤️

selw0nk: This mannequin looks so real.

Mike Lawrence: This guy is a artist!

bInGeU: Hey Salon guy! I have some wavy hairs around my crown area like that guy in the video. I want to know if thinning shears can help me getting those curls loosen a bit.

Kaushal Nandan: I have that exact same hair.... Wavy on the front and curling like that.... How can I reduce my waves without using any heat? FYI.. I generally use almond oil if its something you wanted to know!! Lots of love from India

Nischal Ghimire: Its been 7 months i'm growing my hair...and i want this man to trim my hair

akbar iw: This is haircut that I want. Thanks

Gymnopedist: Could you *PLEASE* make a tutorial on Jaime Lannister's haircut in season 1 of Game of Thrones? I grew my hair and showed my hairdresser a photo of his hairstyle but she made the sides too short. It looks nothing like his haircut.

MSR 20: really hard to get any professional barber..it is really good if they have some details like this vid in cutting my hair.. almost barber just like "i only need your money, i dont care about your.. it's what you ask". Good video

Hoi Hallo: Can you make a video how to do your with wavy hair. Like a side part and is it smart to grow your hair out if your hair is cruly?

Nick Hardins: I was so glad that you finally did a tutorial for Wavy /Curlish hair but sadly .......

$$$: Did you ever get a haircut and immediately regret it? Me Everytime

Ramzi Khoury: He was in need of the "surgical procedure" shaping and connecting.. One could easily notice the weak broken ends gone... He just should get used to the brushing procedure improving on the texture.. Thank you again and again...

Doctor Dhinchak: What's your best tip to find a stylist like you in my city? I don't think I've ever liked my haircut.

Nathan Polkinghorne: i have a question, that is not exactly related to the video. Im growing out an undercut man bun and i need some advice about the styling of it. I used to have a quiff style for about 4 years , and have decided to switch it up and to an undercut ponytail/man bun. The problem is when I dont use a ton of product in my hair it you can clearly see the old style, where the hair bent to form the old style, and my hair is very stubborn and doesnt hang loose like you would expect hair of my length to do ( about 8 inches on the top). lastly, in regards to the parting of my hair, is there a specific parting that looks better in an undercut style, whether it is hanging loose, or tied back. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Eastern: I just read the description and found out you were a fireman. Do you have any pictures of you in uniform? If you do can you post them on your community tab thing?

anzyh: Great haircut can’t lie

Poor Mustang: I actually liked the nature of his hair when we started. Sure, frizz and wild locks but I kinda liked it better. Maybe it's just that the front hasn't got quite the lenght yet. Good cut though.

Rich boi: Hey! Stephen please make a haircut tutorial of tom cruise vanilla sky hairstyle plz

Benjamin Bertrand: I love your bad jokes. Just a nice happy man

Rain Workshop: I wanted to see how it looked with curls.
