Do you like getting your hair combed ( Ziya, nodding ), You do okay., But when you comb it, I don't like it. ( Raven laughing ), ( `` Golden Crates-Dusty, Crates'' ), Hey guys! What'S up it's Raven it's Sunday night, which means that it is hair washing day.. I actually just got done washing Ziya's hair and now it's time to comb and style and give her like a fresh new style for the school week.. And I normally try to do something: that's gon na actually like last throughout the school week, because I don't have time every morning to restyle her hair., So I'm gon na be trying to do something. That'S really gon na last for the full week.. So this is Ziya's little bathroom, closet situation.. It was perfectly organized we're not gon na look at the mess here, but for the most part it's organized, it's all her little combs and brushes., And then a bunch of hair care products.. I'M constantly trying new things on Ziya's hair, so we have a mixture of like Shea Moisture. This is Garnier Fructis.. We also have been using. I'Ve been really liking. This Just For Me, curly line.. We got some Mane Choice, some Aunt Jackie. So really it's just a mix of stuff in here. And then I've got this little thing which holds all of her hair bows and rubber bands and hair bobbles and clips and whatnot. Ziya does also have this whole drawer in her room full of hair accessories.. Am I addicted to buy hair accessories for Ziya, possibly, but let's not talk about that right. Now., Honestly, she doesn't use a lot of these'cause. Some of them are just like really out there like really crazy and sparkly. So it's more like dress up type stuff., But I like to get these little cheap little. We call them hairballs and my family.. I know everybody calls them something different.. I always get these little cheap ones like from Target and Walmart. They get ... Ziya. What are you doing? ( Raven laughing ) Ziya is already putting her hair accessories and I got to do your hairstyle first. But yeah. I just buy these little cheap packs and I get them every so often because sometimes they like lose their elasticity or sometimes they do get tangled in her hair, and I have to cut them out when they sometimes they just like get lost at school.. So I always keep extra of these on hand. They'Re, usually like a dollar $ 2., And then I usually let her pick out like some extra bows and hair clips at the end to accessorize or switch up her accessories everyday every morning, depending on how ( laughing ) she's feeling she's chosen, the blue variety today.. If you guys are curious as to what I washed her hair with Today, I use the Kiss Argan and Macadamia line. I've been using this for a while, but, like I said, I switched between like a lot of different brands and a lot of different products. Argan macadamia for dry damaged natural hair, the conditioner, shampoo and also the deep conditioning mask., But I do have several videos on my channel and I did do a more recent video all about Ziya's hair, washing routines.. If you wan na see the whole shebang of how I wash and deep condition and detangle, and that whole thing, I will link a video up in the cards and down below, but right now we're just gon na get to styling.. Basically I usually come over here. I just take this., It's real easy to just take the whole thing out and then we normally like to do hair in her playroom over here on the couch. So we can get comfortable., So I usually just bring everything over to the couch. And then what do we do Ziya. So she can sit right here and it's like the perfect little set-up. So I can see what I'm doing and both of us are comfortable.. Okay, ( laughing ), so this is our little set-up.. Do you like getting your hair, combed ( Ziya, nodding ), You do okay., But when you comb it, I don't like it. ( Raven laughing ). That'S what I'm asking you and your hair is already dry. Let me just spray it down.. It'S definitely way easier to style it when it's pretty much soaking wet or at least damp.. So I always keep a little plastic water bottle. You can get these at the Dollar Store and just have regular water in there. And then usually the first product that I put into her hair is some type of leaving conditioner.. This is Aunt Jackie's knot On My Watch, Instant Detangling Therapy is softens, helps to restore moisture balance, helps with knots and tangles, And I already detangled her hair when I was conditioning it in the bathtub., Like I said, if you guys go, watch my actual wash routine For her you'll see more of the actual detangling process., So I'm just running this super wide tooth comb through her hair. one more time just to make sure it's mostly detangle ,'cause. You really can't do any styles until it's fully detangled, it's gon na be really hard to part the hair and style the hair. So you want it as detangled as possible.. So next, I'm gon na go in with a curl cream. I'M gon na use the Shea Moisture, Coconut and Hibiscus Kids Curling Butter Cream., I'm not sure what makes it kids versus the doll. And I kinda go a little bit heavy-handed with the products, because this is going to last her all week. I'M not gon na be restyling and remoisturizing and reputing in products throughout the week, so I wan na make sure that I use enough to keep her hair moisturized for a few days.. I feel like this is what has helped her hair like stay healthy and grow? Nice and long. Her hair is like down to her, but now, if it's like all straightened out, of course, she has a lot of shrinkage cause. She has a tighter curl pattern, but, like it goes all the way down to here.. Do you like having long hair? You think we should cut it. I like having long hair. You do. Like Rapunzel, Like Rapunzel, I'm gon na actually get a little bit more and really focusing on the ends'cause. Her ends tend to be more dry., So I just wan na make sure they're like evenly coated and even like comb it through a little bit., So my philosophy for doing her hair, especially when it's Sunday night, I'm trying to do a style that lasts all week.. I feel like the more parts, the better, the more sections, the better.. If I had the time and the energy, I would sit here and do like a bunch of little sections and basically give her box braids, because that would last really long and like hold up really well, I don't have the time and energy for that.. I wan na at least do like several sections. I usually try to do like at least four braids, six braids, eight braids or twists, or something like that, just to really keep the hair like contained. If that makes sense., I feel like if I do any sort of like loose styles, where it's just like a ponytail like this or like two loose ponytails or if I let her hair like just leave it down. That is a recipe for disaster.. Her hair is gon na get so just messed up and tangled by the time she's like playing outside and doing whatever she does at school it just no, it's never good.. So I try to do braids or twists, and I try to have like a lot of little sections to it, so it just like stays contained., And I think that is also another reason why her hair is so healthy and long, because essentially it's like doing protective Styles, every week.. Normally I just make up hairstyles as I go along Kind of just play around with what I think looks cute. So that's exactly what I'm gon na do. Today. Step. One is to kind of start off with partying the hair in some kind of way.. So honestly, I normally stick to a middle part as like the main like starting point., So I'm just gon na fix up her part having a rat tail. Comb like this is a major key. Tie off one to get it out of the way and then I'm gon na start making additional parts.. So I think I'm gon na to start kind of in the front and do a diagonal part starting from the middle, going down to her face to just section off a little front. Section Tie the rest out the way real quick. And then I'm gon na. Take some of this Just For Me from the Curl Peace collection.. This is the slim styler. It'S like a gel, and I'm just gon na take a little bit of this on my fingers and apply this around her hairline and around. Where I have this piece section. Out. Now, why does this brush have doll hair in it? Where are you using this to brush the doll's hair Yeah? It was that doll. ( Raven laughing ) Its got bright orange hair in here. So I'm just gon na kind of smooth this little front section. Out., I'm just gon na use one of these little tiny black rubber bands and tie this off.. We got one little triangle. and then I think I'm just gon na kind of continue a little pattern. So, let's see, if I go from little bit back and part all the way down to her ear. A little bit more gel to lay everything and then with this one I think we're gon na divide it into two sections in half horizontally. That again gel smooth The section and again just tie it off with this little rubber band, just like we did in the front.. No, I'm not gon na do little sections like this all over her whole head., Like I said, if I had the time and energy I would, that would be really cute and that will probably be a hairstyle that would last for a few weeks, and I have Done it before, but I'm just gon na do a few in the front and then I'm just gon na have like a bigger braid in the back to save time.. So these little three sections here are gon na be combined back into a bigger section than I'm gon na do back here.. Okay, I think I'm gon na take these two and I'm gon na tie them together.. When I do the other side, I'm gon na connect. This one in the front., So let me move to the other side and match up what I did. So same thing going down.. Now we have the two matching in the front and I'm gon na tie these two together.. Oh wow, look at me doing interesting. Things. See this is how I get my styles'cause. You just start experimenting. All right. So now I've got the same thing going on on this side. She'S got the two other little sections, along with the one in the front which I already put together.. So I'm gon na put these two together, just like I did on the other side, so just grabbing both chunks and putting another rubber band to connect them.. So I'm going to split this top little section back in half like this kind of makes an X and I'm gon na bring that over to this whole section that we just created and connect them.. So I'm making like a cool design in the front., And now I will be the prettiest in the school. And same thing on this side, taking the other half of this little front area and just bringing that over to this whole side over here.. Now I've tried it where I've done something similar like this and for all these little chunks, I've braided them individually. So that would be like little tiny braids going into each rubber band.. But I find that, like really small braids are actually a pain to take out. Later., Try to find a happy medium between having a lot of small sections, but not necessarily having a lot of small braids.. If anything, I feel like twists like two strand twists are better because they're easier to take out.. So this is our design that we've created in the front since I've got the main middle part, going all the way down. I'M going to just split the hair and I feel like we need at least one more section back here., So I'm gon na actually split this whole big chunk in half one more time., I'm gon na smooth just this upper half with everything we created up here. And I'll use one of the colorful ones.. What color do you want? Pink., Of course, pink.? Let me use one of these to tie off this chunk., I'm gon na braid this section down a little bit and then connect it down to the bottom section. I think that'll be cute., Let's see and braid it down to about there and then clip it. Boop smooth. This part out take this and I'm just connecting this down to this lower section.. So now I have this braid going down into this lower section and like it would be cute like you could just leave the hair out, but I'm gon na go ahead and braid it'cause. Like I said I don't like leaving her hair out too much.. I prefer everything to be wrapped up braided up twist it in some kind of way.. So I'm going to continue this braid down, See all the excess product coming out now, but it'll dry., So braid this side all the way down, and then I am going to just tie it off. Of course, at the end, actually, let's use a fun rubber band. Add some pizzazz And I always like to comb out the end and like do a little twist, so it makes a nice little curl at the bottom.. It'S got a lot of product in it there we go.. So this is the finished kind of like pattern or design on this side, and I just need to finish it off and copy it over onto the other side. And we will show the final result: Digiding and waalah done.. And what and what's the last step? Little baby hairs We got to brush a little baby, hairs. And mommy. What'S that It is jam to help the baby hairs Baby hairs brush highly recommend. I cant put a link down there. Below. Done. I hope you guys, like my hairstyle, thanks for watching bye, [ Raven ]. What do you think I like it., [, Raven ], And look how long your hair is getting. Aaaha, I'm about to be five in seven, more days. [ Raven ], No ( laughing )! That'S not true. In seven days. alayzia moore: Ziya is so funny “my hair is long because I’m about to be 5 in seven days”

Fashion is Me!: Is it just me but does anyone else feel like Raven is just PHENOMENAL at the things she does ?!?!? woah Chile !! Whoever comes into her life REALLY has to add something special for her and Ziya !! you go Queen!!✨

Jennell: Can I have Ziya’s confidence “now I’ll be the prettiest girl in school” Yesss Queen

Willa Morton: Chile, I wish my Mom knew how to style my hair as a kid. I stayed looking homeless with my crooked parts and frizzy ponytails. Ziya will look back at her kid pics with pride.

joe williams-nelson: Black mommas hair time with their kids (boys and girls) is excellent bonding time where we get to ask the kid questions about themselves and listen to how they think, dream, and theorize in their own way. It is a way to check in to make sure they are mentally and emotionally well. I’m sure the viewers will join me in not being mad if you use hair time to let Ziya have mommy and me time and then just give us adults the play by play in voiceover.

carmella brown: The style was really cute. When she said " now I'll be prettiest at school :D. Yes you will girly!!

Moriah Kay: Why is nobody talking about her new gorgeous intro ? It is absolutely everything

Megan Terpstra: I don't know why but this video was so soothing lol. Also Ziya is literally the cutest kid in the world

HazeLeanne: I love the new introduction! We see you working HARD between these weekly posts! Love the Ziya and Mama content, as always- Queen raising a Queen

Anisa Linder: “and now i will be the prettiest in school “

Life is So Sincere: She is just too precious. I love how her hair turned out.

Seidy Berrios: "And now I will be the prettiest in the school" Periodt ziya self confidence is key

BriplusMommy _: I love the fact that you take such good care of her hair! She’s so aware and happy about her hair! A Queen raising a queen

Shantelle Simon: Awesome job Raven, I love all your hairstyle video’s, Ziya sits quietly & stay still. Go Ziya!!!

QuietStorme: Love the new intro Raven. You styling Ziya’s hair is so visually aesthetic‍♀️. She’s such a doll.

Amethyst Azul: Raven:Do you like when I come your hair? Ziya:Yes Ziya:But I don't like it when you comb my hair

Mercedes Price: Love this style Ziya is so precious. Thanks for sharing with us! ❤️ I’m taking notes for when my daughters hair grows- I agree, lots of small parts is best to contain! Just a gentle reminder to switch up her middle part so she doesn’t experienced hair loss there over time. ❤️ You are doing so great, killing the mom game!

Natalia: I love that you’re documenting this so she can watch when she’s older. Maybe show your grandkids if she decides to have kids. Wow you make motherhood look so natural and fulfilling!! I know it’s hard and you’re a single mom but you’re doing an amazing job!!!

Jackie Hazel: Absolutely adorable! Soo brings back memories of when my daughter was that age!☀️☀️

Casia Carter: Do I have a child? No. Do I plan on having one anytime soon? No. Did I watch this entire video? Yes ma’am

Rejane Petersen: Love seeing a baby girl with the same curly hair as mine. I've been raised to straighten my hair as much as possible (rollers, blow-dry, straighten, swirl), but I feel like I'm going toe protect her curls as much as I can until she can decide what she wants to do with her hair so I'm still learning. If only she would sit as still as your daughter, BTW my LO Ruby is only 2 so sectioning and braiding involves alot me running after her trying to get it done. Thank you for your tips and info, it's very much appreciated.

Ashlee Bonds: I did this style on my daughter this morning & she loved it! ❤️ I would love is this was a regular thing you did on your channel.

Buzzin Bee: Ziya is getting so tall. Just a cutie!!!! Love Knot On My Watch when my hair is long and curly. On another note....Raven deserves a good man who treats her as the gem she is! She's a great mom with a great support system. She could be stuck up but nope.

Brittney Goins: Keep them coming Raven! My daughter is 5 and has similar hair but it has been such a pain doing her hair anymore! And the style ideas are very helpful! I like these videos on Ziya's hair!! So relatable as a single mother as well!

napzfaya: Nice job Raven! You took me back to my childhood, I loved when my mom would connect my ponytails.

jess_me_myself: Thanks for this inspiration video! Sundays are me and baby girls hair day as well. Those week long hairstyles are saving us. Off to the sink we go!!

Aliyah Moore: love it! Sita looks like such a big girl getting her hair done! I always had long hair growing up (of course I cut it as an adult ) but I used to hate it when people would be like, “Can I have one of your pony tails”. Like no weirdo go away

crystal crawley: Beautiful! Ziya looking more & more like your mom.

bequetta: I love doing the hairstyles that last all week, I believe that's why my granddaughter's hair is so long also

Jamiah Craft: love these videos. Will be trying this on my 3 year old

Suzy Benz: You and your daughter are so cute!!! she’s a mini version of you! I wish I had a mini me , you are truly blessed

Camillia J.: Ziya is growing up so much! This is such a cute video

Lizandra Mulkey: I am definitely trying this hairstyle on my niece thanks raven

veronica linn: I love love love your cow tip nails this hair style is awesome and Ziya is so cute. Her hair is long and beautiful!

Relentlessly Rell: Beautiful. I typically do my son’s hair in the small braids all over and it lasts about 3 weeks. I struggle with other styles for him since I can’t really scalp braid.

IAmKNicole: LOL I LOVE ZIYA! 5 in 7 more days her hair style turned out super cute!

najwa deckard: Bye! Ziya, the expression on your cute little face regarding your birthday being next year is priceless! Great video Raven.

Jassie K: Love the new intro!!! Ziya's hair is so gorgeous and getting long. Very cute hairstyle also.

Trinity Smith: Love the new intro queen and cant wait to see the next amazing hairstyle

halcyon2017: Thank you so so much for this video! My 3 year old daughter's hair is the same (or similar) texture as your daughter's. I also have the problem of if I keep her hair out, it gets so frizzy by the end of the day. Usually, I put her hair into braids, twists, etc to keep her hair from getting dried out so quickly. Anyway, I just finished doing the style in this video on my daughter's hair. I love that you zoomed into the hair on some parts. I was able to follow it much easier with that. And the BEST thing is that my daughter LOVED the finished style. I can always tell when she loves her hairstyle because she look in the mirror, turn her head from side to side, and have a HUGE smile on her face. Thank you for the style! I look forward to trying out more styles with your help! Your tutorials are amazing!!

myriam: yesss!!! i need a hairstyle ! my sister has extremely curly hair ! thank you ❤️

IamNes: The intro I’m loving the changes .Get into that rebrand!

Kelliese Seabrook: Ziya is the cutest and alright Raven I see you with the creativity ✨

Tera T.: So cute!! I really be watching all of Ziya's routines like I'm not 18, in college, and not having kids anytime soon.

Alexia Loquellano: This video was the most relatable and realistic to what my experience is with my daughter’s hair type. Totally trying this tomorrow before the school week, thank you!!

Μαρια Γιαννακη: I love Ziya' s hair! ❤️

Ta'mara McKissick: The girls and I love the intro hold music lol especially the baby. Their hair is like Ziya’s so we always have lots of product and ponytails. Thanks for the style we’ll be trying it.

Mars Mellow: This video was so helpful for me. Im not a mom yet but i have a neice who's hair i do from time to time and it helps me to know how to style and brush and comb her hair. Its thick and dry so this is helpful. And the organization is even more helpful. Thank you

Simplyy Nee: You have a beautiful daughter, love this hairstyle. Always here to support you and your daughter and anyone else looking for support. Support is what I’m all about. #genuinesupporter

Alaina Nicole: Yea I'm definitely doing this style to my daughters hair tomorrow. I'm always looking for styles to keep her hair protected. I'm biracial (black and white) and my husband is black but my daughters hair is like my mom's whose white and has very thin curly silky hair. I struggle keeping her hair held in a style for a long time but then it also gets very dry and tangled if I don't do anything to it . This was helpful!

Charlsey Hawkins: Hello.family! Love Raven's hair style! It is so cute!

Amy Bethea: Ziya has beautiful hair, just beautiful curls and volume. Wow! Have you ever tried a wash-n-go on her hair? (Sorry if I missed that video). She's got great hair for a bomb wash-n-go!

Dragon Zodiac: Great job as usual guys!❤️❤️ Love your creativity

Melly Me: Wow I literally remember when you were expecting Ziya and when she was born. And now look at her such a cutie pie .

Sincerely Leshawn: This is super cute... Shoot I would wear that hairstyle at my tender age lol

Malexia Nyembo: I really enjoy watching these hair videos of yours it's really creative and pretty

Travel One: That's for being such a fantastic example of a young responsible mother! I don't know, but it seems like you are putting your love life on hold and taking care of yourself and your daughter. These are precious times with your daughter and she needs lots of attention as you give her. She seems to be developing a very good sense of self love and femininity (she loves her dolls!) and self confidence as a little black girl, which is so important in her development, there are other important factors she needs as I'm sure you know as a mom and you are doing your best to accomplish. You both are beautiful and keep it up as you both grow together. It's a tough job being a single mom, you've mentioned struggling with depression, please get the help may need to work through it, none of us have a perfect life so we all have our ups and downs and yet have so much to be grateful for.

Fanunu: That’s super beautifully done!

Ally Adams: Bro ziyas unbothered face is me all the timeeeee

Natasha Markham: I can tell she liked that style!

Beautiful S.: Lmao Ziya’s face at the end was like “I know you didn’t just call me out for lying about my birthday in front of all these folks”

𝘪𝘪𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴☆: Omg I can't stand how cute your daughter is! <3
