How I up my YouTube game!

Who'S ready for a naughty one brand wash day, hey there guys welcome back to my channel. I am so excited to be doing this one brand wash day. It has been widely and wildly requested. This brand is an affordable brand. It'S available in the us and in the uk, which is thoroughly exciting. I cannot wait to show you how these products perform in my hair just a little reminder for one brand wash days, i use a shampoo conditioner, leave-in and styler all from one brand. In my fine wavy low porosity hair, to show you how the products perform and everyone's hair is different, this is just meant to give you a sort of frame of reference so that you can make informed purchasing decisions. It'S supposed to make your life a little bit easier, showing you how all these brands perform on one head of hair, but everybody's heads of hair is different, so there you go and for fun. I thought in this one brand wash day. I would show you where my hair was starting what we were starting with to begin this process. This is my product free hair. This is what my hair looks like with absolutely zero product in it brushed out and air dried. Yes, there is a giant kink in my hair, from where i had put it up in a very loose bun on top of my head. Does anybody else's hair? Do that? Isn'T it great? I love it and i will be showing you what my hair looks like after i've put the products in so we can see like no products these products all right. Let'S go ahead and jump right into my bathroom and i will show you exactly how i wash and style with the naughty hair care line, all right guys, i'm excited about this. This is going to be fun. This is my hair right now, not sure if you've already seen that clip or not not sure how i'm going to edit this but anywho, let's get to washing this hair, all right going in with the naughty to the rescue moisture boost shampoo, i did buy all Of these and enjoyed the shopping process on naughty's website, i picked this one because reading the ingredients label i felt like this was the shampoo that noddy carried that would best work for my hair, and i love the fragrances of these. I feel like they smell so good, and this is curly, hair friendly, curly girl friendly, not sure what to call it anymore, but you get the idea: it's sulfate silicone and drying alcohol free. I really like that when i use the shampoo i can run my fingers through my hair. I didn't show you the consistency. Did i and don't worry, i'm grabbing less than i normally use, but this is the consistency of the shampoo. You can see it's a little bit runny and a little bit stringy, it's not perfectly clear, but it's not one of those super white creamy shampoos, either. Alright. Moving on to the to the rescue moisture boost conditioner again, this is sulfate silicone and drying alcohol free. This also contains some wheat proteins towards the bottom of the ingredients label. It'S not the thickest conditioner i've ever used, but it's not thin or runny either medium consistency is that what we're gon na call it. So i'm going to apply this like i normally do. I wouldn't say that this is necessarily a protein heavy conditioner, but it is nice that there is an affordable option for conditioner that contains protein. It can be really hard to find products with protein at an affordable price point. Now, i'm just going to finish distributing this through my hair with a brush to make sure every single strand is getting a coating of conditioner, and i do want to mention. I think i mentioned this before, but i get asked a lot about glycerin and what products you should be avoiding using glycerin with, and i find that rinse out products like shampoo and rinse out, conditioner or hair masks. I can use glycerin in the formula without it affecting my wash day so if you've been trying to avoid glycerin at all costs, because glycerin is a very efficient humectant, then don't avoid it in your shampoo and conditioner, because that will leave you like two conditioners and Two shampoos you'll be able to use nearly all shampoos and conditioners that are curly girl, approved, contain glycerin all right. I'Ve brushed that through adding just a little bit of water, i'm gon na add some in the front and i'm going to squish to ganish sandwiching. My hair with some water so like putting water on then the conditioner, then more water, sandwiching, the conditioner with water. There we go really does make a big difference. It helps my hair absorb the conditioner better and it seems to make my conditioners more effective, also swishing and squishing. My conditioners around in my hair really does make a difference as well, so there we go. That feels good. I kind of just squish until i feel, like my hair absorbed the product at this point. You could leave this in your hair for about five to ten minutes, while you've finished doing other bath things, but i'm not going to do that because i don't want to bend over the tub that long, i'm going to go ahead and rinse it out. Now i'm going in with the leave-in conditioner step, it's really the hello curls define and reshape primer. I'Ve seen people use this as a refresh product as well. This is a spray, it's very ready, very ready, okay. So that was three sprays and this does contain glycerin and i am leaving it on my hair, so i tend to try and save this and use it during ideal. Dew point range days: if you want more info on that, subject, check out the video, but this also contains a decent amount of protein. It'S fairly high up on the ingredients label, which is nice for helping keep the hair balanced. I think that's everything in here. Water is dripping on my face. I don't like it. It'S tickling me all right. Eight plus three is eleven, so i'm using eleven sprays and i'm gon na see how that feels - and i do tend to like spraying product into my hand and applying it to my hair. I'M not coordinated enough to like spray it on my head and make sure that i'm hitting the right places. So i used 13 sprays of conditioner. That'S going to be good luck and for this step, i'm really just organizing my curl clamps. This is how i style my hair every single time. I push the hair away from my face so that i can style upside down, get root volume and not have my hair fall on my face and then i brush the hair away from the sides of my face and kind of off the back of my head And i get just a little bit more water to pull the curl clumps off the back of my head in case they got stuck there. Water also helps my hair clump back together. If you ever find that you're getting majorly stringy curl clumps try adding more water while you're styling okay, now i'm going in with the hey curl scrunching jelly. This does contain glycerin as well, and i'm looking, i don't see any proteins in the ingredients label, but i do see some extracts, which sometimes behave like protein, which is cool and i'm living on the edge today, guys i'm not measuring the product. Usually i get out my little teaspoon measurer for the sake of accuracy, but i'm gon na say that i grabbed slightly more than a teaspoon and dropped it all into my tub. All of it, i'm sorry naughty. I'M sorry, it was an accident. Okay. This is the amount i'm using and this time i'm not going to drop it. That'S the texture, it's a little bit flaxseedy feeling - and i do take my time - smoothing it out into my hands to make sure i get a more even smooth application, but i find that it smooths out fairly easily and then i glaze the gel on the back Of my head then the front of my head, then i rope it in like so and scratch. This product does have a very, very soft, mild, flash drying sort of effect. On my hair, it's not a bad thing. It just removes water from my hair fairly quickly. So i might try using this with a curl cream underneath to help buffer the flash drying effect, or i can just be really gentle when i scrunch it in now. I really feel like i need to add some more to the sides and back of my head. So i'm grabbing about half the amount that i grabbed the first time, not dropping it into my tub target applying on the back and sides there we go and i really do go by feel when i apply gel with my hands instead of like trying to brush It in with the brush, i can feel which areas got enough product, because i'm touching it with my fingers and which areas still need more job. This is just me and the way i like to apply product all right. That is it. This is what the curl clumps are looking like right now, i would say that looks pretty good, there's fairly minimal, wet frizz for a product that kind of sort of wants to flash dry on my hair, and my hair feels really good. Also, if you're wondering what i'm talking about with the flash drying - yes, i do have a video on that shameless plug all right. I'M gon na go plop my hair and diffuse and i'll be right back to show you. The results here is my hair, 100 dry, pre, fluff and scrunch out the crunch. I did not get a cast with these products, but, as previously stated, you don't necessarily need a cast for a great wash day. So here's what it's looking like before i fluff and scrunch, and now i'm gon na fluff and scratch - and here is my hair, post, fluff and scrunch. You guys are getting a look at it before i do so. My hair feels pretty good. I think i used one or two too many sprays of the leave-in primer. My hair feels just a tiny bit heavy, but i really like this gel styler. It'S really nice. It'S giving me soft definition. A soft hold with the tiniest little bit of grit feeling on my hair. I, like just a tiny bit of grit in my gels prime example. The giovanni la natural styling gel is one of my all-time favorite gels, and your hair definitely feels a little bit gritty with that product. What that does is it helps my waves and curls retain their shape without adding weight to my hair. So this is what my hair is looking like right after scrunch out the crunch and and fluff, i will be back tomorrow to show you how it's holding up for the day two results. Good morning, it's day two, i literally just took my hair down out of the overnight pineapple. I put it up in this bun on top of my head to sleep at night. I just took it down and i've left it, no refresh, no nothing. This is what day two is looking like. My hair is feeling just the smidgenist dry and the reason for that, i think, is that the gel kind of left, my hair, like a little bit gritty, so sometimes those gritty gels make my hair feel a little bit dry on day two and day three. But it's it's! Okay, like my hair, is still very flexible. It'S still very bendy, so it's not like brittle dry. It'S just like feeling a little dry, because the gel was gritty all right. That is day two hair fresh out of the pineapple freshly fluffed. Okay, i just wanted to jump in here really quick and mention that, since the filming of this one brand wash day, i've actually washed my hair with these products. One more time and i used half the amount of leave-in and half the amount of gel. And lo and behold, my hair was even clumpier, less stringy looked better on day two and didn't feel heavy or nearly as gritty. So just keep in mind that you can alter how products perform by using different amounts. So there you go all right guys and that is it for this one brand wash day. Thank you so much for hanging out with me today. I sure hope this video was helpful. That'S why i'm here i'm trying to be as helpful as humanly possible because wearing my hair, wavy curly has been one of the most transformative things in my life. I'M trying to share that with as many people as i possibly can, because this one little thing changing how i wash and style and care for my hair has changed. How i see myself, i went from hating my hair to loving my hair to finally truly believing that i am fearfully and wonderfully made just the way i am there's my whole spiel you're welcome all right guys, i hope you're having an absolutely fantastic day, and i Will talk to y'all later bye, you

Linda Belcher: Thank you for saving my hair in general, I’m recovering from really bad DevaCurl damage, but I needed someone like you to talk about products so thoroughly. I commend you on taking care of all of us

Megan Mason: Self acceptance through curly hair! I'm getting there too!

jasmineetamaraa: I started using Noughty at the start of my curly journey and haven't stopped yet! Love the Intensive Care leave in, the detox clarifying shampoo and the Pumped Up stuff!

Anne Kearl: Hi Courtney from the UK, thanks for the great video. I love the noughty to the rescue range & use the intensive care leave in after shampoo/conditioner then air dry, which amazingly gives me a cast. The serum from the to the rescue range is brilliant & controls frizz on my coarse low porosity hair. Don't like the gel though.

Zosia: I love using the Noughty Hey Curl curl cream as my leave-in and then the Scrunching Jelly. *chef's kiss". If you haven't tried the Hey Curl cream in lieu of a leave-in conditioner, definitely give it a try After being obsessed with the Giovanni hair gel, I've replaced it with the Noughty Scrunching Jelly *gasp!* love it.

Incognito: Yay, this is my favourite hair brand! I absolutely love the smell of them, the curl cream and the hair masks are my favourites. I had some issues with the conditioner and shampoo feeling producty but they still gave nice results.

Nickelle VanDerHeyden: I've watched so many of your videos and how you talk about how your current hair journey has made you learn to love yourself and your hair more. After looking at images from this past weekend where i did a basic wavy hair style i finally thought i looked pretty. Got the first time in a LONG time! Especially since I'm only a year postpartum. Thank you so much for being a huge factor in helping me find that love for myself and my hair too!

Sarah McNeely: Thanks for trying this product. I saw it at Target and wondered how it would work. Would you consider trying OGX Locking + Curls Decadent Creamy Mousse? I have used it for years while I was straightening my hair(no idea why I used a curl mousse to straighten) and was so happy to find it is CG approved and I could keep using it when i started CGM a few weeks ago... I really love it, but it is pretty strong hold. I'd love to see you try it and see what you think of it.

Paula Kitty O'Driscoll: I like the spray to lightly refresh, and the intensive care leave in is lovely. The shampoo gave me sore red lumps all over my scalp though I've got the mask to try yet!

Terry: Your hair is GORGEOUS product-free, brushed out & air dried! WOW! I know you know how blessed you are!

Sylvie Dionne: Glad you tried a one product wash day with Noughty! It's the only affordable line I can get here in Belgium, so I've been using them for a couple of months now (haven't tried the curl gel though). Altogether happy about the results. My hair is curlier than yours but, thanks to menopause, nowhere as thick! I get soft, well defined curls but they fall after a couple of days. I think that says more about my hair than the product, but maybe the future will show otherwise! Right now, come day 3-4, I have to thoroughly wet my hair and reapply my stylers, but I think that's OK!

Curlycurl Birdy girl: I agree with the editing Courtney about the amount of leave in and gel you applied (these were waaay more than you usually use; low porosity anyone? ) but that was VERY educational, i.e. different amounts of the same product(s) will give you different results! It seems that this line agrees perfectly with your hair. Day one was and day two was elongated

Heather Schnelker: I was just thinking I would love to see a one brand wash day for this brand! Thank you.

Katie Keith: Love your videos Courtney! Have you done a video on your favorite glycerin free styling products? If not, that would be amazing!

Jeanette Bilson: I love the noughty products. I love the hello waves. Been using it for a year

A Joyful Sound: Hey Courtney! Thanks for the review! Have a question, my curls are normally 3a curls, my hair has been getting longer, and recently it's been just wavy curly, do you have any tips on how to get your curls to bounce back up without cutting/trimming it?

Natalie Moliterno: Thanks for the great video! Are you planning on reviewing Twist by Ouidad? I just recieved the weather up primer and gel and the hair oil. I can't wait to try them on my next wash day and I'm curious on your thoughts!

akplmn: Me: I wonder if this Noughty brand is any good? Courtney: * reads my mind and uploads a video *

Amy Peaden: I would love to see some fragrance free brand reviews for those of us with sensitive noses and skin! If you can find any! Would also love to see a video that goes through the Curlsmith lines to describe fragrance. Also, when reviewing lines if you would describe the actual fragrance such as, “citrusy”, “floral”, etc instead of “really good” or “lovely” I would appreciate it. I am allergic to some fragrance, particularly anything flowery, and it’s sometimes hard to find descriptions of what things smell like. It would give me somewhere to start to look for things that may work for me. Thanks for the great content!

Maria Larsson: AND Noughty is available in Sweden, where i live I use the Intensiv Care leave-in conditioner, just a tiny bit goes a long way.

carefulcurls: Their deep conditioner/mask is the best ever! I use it as a regular conditioner. Smells amazing too!

chloe ashby: omg i love noughty's hair care! i use their curl defining shampoo and conditioner and i love them! :)

jessicatherabbitxo: Would you have considered your hair high porosity before/when beginning your curly journey? I think my hair type is super similar to yours (it's fine, high(ish) density, 2B, natural colour same as yours). But, I have bleach in my hair, and I think that's what makes it high porosity currently. I am feeling so disheartened about how long it's going to take me to grow out the bleach because I'm thinking I won't really get very good results until that happens. At the moment my wash day's end up looking pretty much exactly like what yours did at the beginning.

Kata Nova: funnilly, I don’t mind glycerin in my conditioner, but can’t use shampoo w glycerin in it without turning into a frizz ball ‍♀️ how annoying that every hair is so different and you can’t cut corners just coppying what works for others

Jenn Leah: Your skin looks amazing today! Are you using a BB cream or something? It's nice & glowy without looking makeup-y

Nicci Chapman: Love these products thank you

Mandy Ratliff: I don't like the Noughty To The Rescue conditioner. It has very little slip and is hard to detangle my hair with. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if that's just how it is. Also it isn't all that moisturizing and my hair feels very dry on day 2 and 3.

Sabra Satz-Kojis: Do you have any tips for preventing monocurls? I feel like I have great clumps and then as the day goes on they merge together and no matter how many times I break them up, they find their way back to each other

sheryl botulenko: Can you try the Christophe Robin curl cream? Im curious on your review.

1922mistyblue: Great review

Gina-Marie Ourganjian Cheeseman: I'm jealous. My hair looks like crap when it's dry brushed. It looks like I stuck my finger in a light socket. Yours looks good!

tgif1207: I need recommendations for HIGH porosity hair!

Adam's Geckos: I was disappointed with Noghty. Tried every possibly combo and different styling techniques. Far too heavy on my hair and no hold. I gave it away. Glad you enjoyed it

Judie Garnett: I love your hair in the beginning of this vid.

Courtney Derouen: I would love to try this brand, but the smell is just a no ‍♀️‍♀️

Kelsey Oakes: I love Noughty

hadar mor: HI, whenever i workout my hair get ridiculously frizzy after just half an hour. haw can i prevent that? thanks!

Carol Young: Hi there, brilliant timing. JUST BOUGHT A FEW NOUGHTY PRODUCTS XX

Cheryl Mccusker: Please show me how you get your hair to dry perfectly in front. Do you use root clips? My hair has weird wavy roots and it is not pretty. Do you use a comb to smooth it at the root?

Tanner grinzel: Courtney has 2c waves kinda like I do but mine looks curly when I diffuse is

Jessica Galyon: I don’t know if it’s my products or the CGM but my hair is getting worse & worse. Everyone said it takes awhile but I am starting w level 2 porosity hair & have never bleached my hair & have taken care of it for a couple years. My hair looks fried. The frizz is not normal poofy frizz. My hair dries & feels like a Brillo pad. 6-7 wks in. Use not your mothers shampoo alternated w as I am cowash. Condition w hairitage, curl talk, or raw sugar healing masque. Stylers are (not all at once just ones i have) curl talk mousse, Aussie instant freeze, kinky curly knot today & curling custard, curls creme brûlée whipped curl cream

Wiki: Today I found out that I have wavy hair and not straight ‍♀️

Bonnie Atkinson: This is off topic, but what would you say your hair color is? Dark blonde or light brown? Also, I love your videos they have helped me with my own hair so much!!

Rachelle P: HEY THERE COURTNEY

nirgunawish: hellooo im early for once.. do you know any curlfriendly hairdos? since my cgm glowup im wearing it the same way almost everyday and its getting a little boring !

Alyson Knop: Any tips for people with fine AND thin 2b hair? Have been using the Suave Professionals natural hair shampoo and Cantu conditioner, which I love, but I can't seem to find the right stylers or leave in. The Cantu curl activator cream is too heavy for a leave-in but not enough hold on its own; the Ouidad Out of Thin Hair cream worked great when my stylist used it on my hair, but it leaves my hair frizzy and no curl when I use it, and the gel I have from ages ago, John Frieda go Frizz Ease still leaves me with frizz, and my hair is wonky on day 2 even with a satin pillowcase and satin bonnet.

Piper horton: yay i'm early!

Jessica Grimes: How do you sleep to save your curls.
