Hey char, when he still wins, this is a finished product. She has the only care in look supernatural. This is looking like her own hair. We put the closure piece in. We sewed it down. She'S ready to go, you do look close up, come on, come on. Come on BAM, okay, so we just got done with her hair and she's um ready for the day. My finger look at just all in stuff, cute. Okay, i just want to show you guys that before we get into our next subject, which was brought to us by my client um we're going to do this video about um, just customer service - pretty much you know, um oh my hand, still slippery and took my Weave out after I Puerto Rico trip, it feels awesome, anyways, we're talking about customer service and things that should go on in the work environment um. That means go start us out. Thank you. Actually that was her job. Look no II, think any words. Words will say the reputation of different stylist upon coming to work and your business profession and your specialism you're pretty much stinks just for lack of better words, a lot of things, a lot of ways. You guys have built your services and Bill. Your industries on these days isn't integris and it isn't motivating for anyone to go forward to come to you for satisfaction or education or anything of the sort, because everything that you offer if it, if it isn't a lie, it's just what you want and it's not What the customer needs, so no one is benefiting actually from it. You think that you are at the moment in time, because you have a customer or someone is in your chair, but overall that person may not come because the hair might not grow or the style may not. Last because there are so many things, I think you guys know how to get it. Quick. Do it right now, but you haven't really learned the fine lines between hair, styling and understanding the hanger and training a person on what they need to do for them and because, if they go home and just throw the whole project out there have you, like you, Really gave the client what they really needed versus just a style. No, so we'll give it back to choppy and let her go back into someone. She has an input. Oh yeah, oh yeah, okay! Well, let me get my planner phone back. Thank you, um to me alive goes in with that customer service, because the clients are who pays my bills, so me customer service go hand in hand. I would ever want my fight. We come to my charity afraid to tell me what they feel, how they feel. What they want to do different? What'S next, those things help us as stylist get our lives together, get our businesses together. I'Ve had so many clients grew of me. I can do it here 12 years and i always seem to get the old ladies, that don't mind telling me about myself no problem, and I think that is awesome. I think that's you know what's needed and can benefit us our stylist in help us get our stuff together. You know what i mean and i think a lot that goes along with customer service being able to have a relationship with your clients to where they can give me the real. Without you getting rid, oh and your feelings being hurt right, my clients coming here all the time look I got to be out of here by several such time. You know I'm saying, or can we do this this time or can we do this next time? That way, or can i try this to try that and I think that's important, I think that's important to have a rapport with your clients to where you know you can get what they want out. You know I'm saying the finished product that they would like vs. So this is all I'm gon na do today. You know - and I'm headed back this evening because I got ta blow dry. You know it to me. This is my personal opinion of the whole thing. It means what you make it. I'Ve seen people grow in a matter of months and have what others took 10 to 15 years to acquire, and it's just about being on your post read where you need to be. You can be paying to do to somebody else's gala, DS, ups and downs, and really miss where you supposed to be at any point in this industry. When I've learned was answering my phones being attentive and being asserted to the right thing and the right way. I'Ve got me a clock that actually got me a positive feedback. Yes, it does sound harsh for me to say certain things like your hair is brittle is calling out. You can't do this. You can't do that, but at the same time, if I have not educated you, if I have not brought this to your attention that you will not have learned that these things are going on, I have people that leave comments and put comments up there. A lot. A lot of times that speak on say a lot of your clients. Hair looks in on this looks like this all the time, and just looks like that. All the time for a good portion of you guys are is repair and, as a portion of you guys are in those shoes, because one some of you have said something and sell. Not some of you have 12 people that all that work more than willing to say and just have a seat, understand that if you have a monetary issue, but we got ta get you what you need to me, because this is your health. This is a part of your regimen. This also can go into your level hygiene. So to me, it's like a drawback, because it's like a constant fight between two people who want their way. You want this, this person once that everybody wants money. Everybody wants prosperity on his successful others of the stuff. Everybody wants their name know and all this crap, but if you don't have anything to make your land on fourth and what the hell do you want people to know you for like? Are you really putting out there something that's going to really bring to the table a level of positive, really wonderful feedback or you're? Just gon na put somebody out there make them comfortable to about hair revolution like lace, fronts, invisible parts and others all this? If he was coming up with to put some stuff together, yes and I stepped on a whole bunch of clothes, but that's too bad, because it is just too comfortable at this point. But people to do certain things, because you have no hair in certain spots. That makes no sense whatsoever and, as a stylist for UTV, come up with this mechanism to learn how to slide this hair up into here and do this ponytail and call it invisible, dis and invisible that that does not behoove you either. But you done is put out that clients hair even worse. So where has anybody benefited across the board instead of us thinking like damn fools? Ball headed fools at this point, with hair in the middle back here or at the bottom of the name, but nothing in the front, because every time we chose to put in our heads catches our edges out like so at what point? Do you really begin to put a halt to it because you don't like what you see in the mirror, because you get immigrants with your individuality, not mine? Oh oh, my god catch your breath catch your breath. Did he go here? Sammy saw, someone is shoot, make sure my look left after that. Okay, this is our out there. Here'S left to yeah those the customer service is work, because I know clients who will say shoot if they come in and ask for a relaxing color. Today, I'm gon na give it to him because that's what they asked for, but I mean really that's: penny thinking that dollar thinking you're gon na get these pennies now, but in a minute your money's gon na stop because it's not good customer service, a stylish! That'S what the consultation is for. I believe that consultations are key. I have people stopped in all the time any day for consultations just so, we can just sit, and you know kind of talk about what you're looking to get done. How are you looking to do it and I'm going to tell you yes or i'ma tell you know, I have no problem telling. You know, I think I know Silas more of us should do that should tell our clients the truth, because I mean shoot. If you got a boss by coming out of somewhere, if you ask me for hair stylist, your hair cannot hold I'm not going to do it. You guys maybe look at my hair right now. Like me, I I wear so much all the time that I can also wear my own hair when I do are my own hair, which is odd right right now. It looks like this notice. It'S true: it's ready to go, you don't send and that's how I like my client city, I like it to be to where yeah you wear extensions, but you don't have to you know i mean i don't feel like anybody should have to wear extensions. I feel like extensions, our choice there are luxury. These are. This is something you do we don't have anything else. Do you just want to wear it longer hair? You just want to go on a trip. You want to do this. You want to do that, but i can honestly say that one of my clients are just balled by me. You know at least a lot of people who you know go off and then they come back with less hair than I left them with. You know, but we all know how that goes. You know I'm saying penny thinking, not dollar thinking. You know, I think it makes more sense to go to a stylish. You feel comfortable with somebody who's going to be honest with you, somebody who believes in healthy hair care. I think that's something that is gone by the wayside as well. Everybody wants what they want. They won right now, but think about. What'S going to happen down the line, we understand if I go ahead and glue in this centerpiece in the middle somebody's head, instead of sewing it in when they pay for so in what is that going to do when that balls first spot starts to dear? You? Have you have to own that you have to take responsibility for that exercise as well? I see a lot of people doing stuff and you're just gon na blame it on menopause. When you know you snatch that hair out, basically because you ain't nowhere close to menopause, I mean, will you just I mean I think, like I said, the classes are necessary, they're, so necessary. I'Ve been doing here 12 years and I stay learned and I learned dead. I learned something today. Well, my client told me, I think customer service is important and that's african-american. Sometimes we get away from that. We just doing here and that's what it is I care you know. I'M saying i was in puerto rico answering my phone when I should have been on a full week: vacation not answering nothing, but she said that's what made sense to me. You know, because I told her I wasn't in town, so she tried to call her other stylist one left her hanging. You know she showed up to the salon and I didn't even show up. Did she calls another stylist and just nobody's answering the phone you know, so I didn't even know that you know I go day to day. Of course we strive to be better as stylist. We strive to get to a one customer service, but just little things like that that she would have never known that that client, you see all the time is like that. Cuz I mean this is a client comes to me all the time. She'S super chill she's super relaxed. I would have never thought that customer service mattered to her, but she told my boat today she was like girl, you know, and I don't mind my clients go to other people. You know, don't you do you know, but usually when they come back, I'm fixing something young man exactly and especially on my side. With these lock extensions, hey. I know you were a long hair. I think it's awesome, but for everybody, first of all, if you're going to somebody you paying them a thousand dollars and they're, not educating, you were telling you you better come back, so we can fix this. You only gon na keep this foot straight amount of time, because my life intentions, you cannot keep them in your hair longer than five years other stuff. That'S going on. Somebody said your. They go clock cinches in your head for two hundred dollars. You sit down please when you get up slap yourself, okay, and I mean hard one of them - snap yourself, your mama, fell to because it's relevant for you to try to move faster than your own body's natural process, it's impossible for you to do things without the Proper knowledge, so, as a customer for customer service bring bringing to yourself, I feel like you should be open to the right knowledge. If it don't make sense, what's the point make dollars? No, it doesn't because I can sit you down in my chair. I'M one of the cheapest get proficient lock extensions out there. Yes, everybody else to tell you 1500 cluster, they take eight years. It takes me five hours, you get the price, i challenge you get, the hair include it and you got ta come back, but the next person, then I may not cut it. They make glue your ends. They make good little fire into your head and bright and say: you're gon na be okay, just locks that doesn't make sense, and then you go back and sit down. Why somebody tell you for so when they got to cut your head or brain, because it was too long and you let them cut it for some Bernie's, since, when it's like, when did these things start to make sense? When did they really become a comfort zone? For people, and when did we actually start making them more of what they are because now they're at a point to where they are muscle level of reality, and that's crazy to me honestly, I'm a chick telling me today because I told her my price was sixty Dollars for a repair that she was waiting for me to tell her like two hundred dollars, just because she heard of me just because she knew me in August, I was supposed to be higher than what I am that's ridiculous and that's what that says to me Is it no offense again, but my people suck my people suck because they make me like I'm a cheap ass, but actually I'm my job right. That night I have stylist stylist called me all the time you know playing on the phone asking how much my selling is and stuff I mean just cuz. My name is out there, which it is in Houston. Texas doesn't mean inflation, you know, i'm saying i love damian and he is somebody I work with because we work off the attention. You know I'm saying like it's just whatever I do. I can go to sleep at night, I'm not going to sleep worried about. Oh man, i birthed out a piece of her hair put in my pocket and kept moving in you. Don'T sayin like all messed up. It'S just wet and I've seen it then so many times you just don't burn that hair up. Don'T tell the person, though mmmm ten i'ma go ahead, o mine. I think i go to sleep better. That way. If i go ahead and burn you sizzle, you burned his hair, I'm go ahead and tell you look uh, look here, player. That also means really practice again. What you do it if you burn the hair up and got ta tuck it in your pocket. Oh you missed the cosmetology school you somewhere and everybody feel like. I can grab a flat iron and do curl. I didn't seem too many bump curls that them banks was just hella thick, you just cutting with your child scissors or something just quit. Yeah just quit for real, just real talk, hands down. If it aint, you don't have it and, and it's like well, either you can wrap or you can flow, and you only fool in your bathroom listening to you, you have it or you don't and that's not to be me. That'S to be honest because it comes to a point: what you need to stop, making certain things going on. You see people in the music industry. If they ask hey sing, how many CDs do they make right, you don't see them them up, but what's the point of you keep trying and burning folks out and hurt movement and doing things that you're doing lying having them sitting around, because you want to feel Like you, king dingaling, you can go, get you something they just come sit there for hours and wait for you seriously seriously said, as you know, wait. That'S that I can't wear. Oh wait. That just makes no sense to me. Your number, then, then, then be the ones in in Lucas magazine just marcella house and pictures and stuff becomes trying to get somebody to come sit in a chair because you didn't burn everybody in America. All you want somebody to get your name. She could like you, an aged town and everything go down down here now. Baby sit back, just sit back, put your seat belt on because you still in the back seat riding down. It'S not that serious, real, dank me get some toe. That'S why i love day because if i said it, baby burn hire you to a dozen down and me that are high heaven, because i told him something that you know it's the truth. It only hurts when it's the truth that brazil like when it's not the truth is funny, but it's hurting some people. When i tell about their self, doesn't whatever the customer service customer service customer service, let's get together, african-americans it all. Let'S do it do it right. Let'S not forget that you know our clients are the ones to keep us rolling. Our clients are the ones that you know keep our business thrive in help us get to the next level. Never forget that never become. You know too big for your own britches. There'S a lot of that goes on, i mean people have ten clients and it will hit you with all now. I'M sorry, i'm not gon na be there till hour later you got ten people. What are you late for car yeah? You don't have the right to be late, so let's check that out check it out, check it out, gizzards internship. So i'm now phone saying I customer service. Right now I changed my client hair Hugo. She has a test to take. Try to get her out of here custom service fee later his

tjuliette06: I love this because When I started my loss I kept going to the same stylist that was styling my relaxed hair. She did a terrible job of starting them off, and it scared me into not going to anymore stylist to twist my hair. When it got long enough after about 4 months that I felt comfortable in the knowledge I had acquired about natural hair/locs i kept my own hair up and now my loss are beautiful and beautifully growing!!

314kimmy: You guys r sooo right. I came in the game because I wanted change. Went to a Design Essentials seminar Monday and they talked about customer service as well. I love to learn so I can educate my clients. Thanks a bunch:)

mpenny226: Tell em! I have been going to the salon since I had to sit on a telephone book. I have had folks leave me sitting in the dryer and be gone from the shop for over an hr, had me sit and wait for over and hr and I have a standard weekly apt. I have sat a waited for the stylist to come to the shop for a couple hours even. It is a shame. I agree a lot of stylist are just stylist that's all and we need to change that. Great vid.

DIMEPIECETWINZ TV: I love your vids people are so much into hairstyling and not hair maintenence your videos are SOOOOOOO informative!! pleases keep them coming..

EH CBunny: I stopped using beauticians when my dermatologist said my dandruff was from the hairstylist using dirty combs and rollers in my hair. Afterwards my condition cleared up.

molala411: I love your videos on youtube. You talk with a lot of knowledge. The only thing that i would have to say in the you curse too much. I know you be keeping it real but you are so educated that you can find other words to use. Love you

ladyair22: Oooooo Damien I love all of what you just said. All this snatching edges is for the dogs! Make the cycle stop!!! Grab them and choke the spit out of these bald edges women!!! NO! Stop that!!!

Treasure Ashley: PREACH Damian

Adonnica Rowland: Bald head revolution! lmbooooooooooooo ! Bravo! Damian rules!

MissMag81: AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!! i hate for someone to tell me about their stylist and they have NO FREAKIN EDGES or have some approach me and say they're a stylist themselves have NO EDGES..just awful!!!

Brittany Perkins: I called this woman (in a salon) to get locs installed a week ago to set up an appointment. She (!!) told me to call her the week of to set up a time. I called her twice and figured she may be busy so I decided to wait. Called her later in the afternoon and do you know she turned her phone off!! I'm not gonna beg nobody to take my money!!

Krowned By Sankofa: Grid Tool Loc: Customer Care is essential!...this is the ONE thing that is lacking within the haircare industry . There should be more dialogue regarding this topic. There are stylists that are very creative and do fabulous work, however they lack in work ethic, integrity, and providing acceptable customer care experiences. In terms of educating the client & saying *NO* to styles that would encourage and/or cause further scalp damage, definitely disproportionate in numbers.

mpenny226: I have a loctician now that I love how she does my hair but she is very popular and I think that she is charging me too much. (I am interlocking and my hair is only just to the base of my neck) I have had locs for a year. She is charging me 100.00. This time when I went to her, she interlock'd me, changed me the same price and did not wash my hair! *this is my 3rd loctician and I am so done!

Damian Walter: molala411 that i can respecct.. and will work on it

mary glenn: lmao! This fool say slap yourself
