Today I show you how I style and curl my hair on an everyday basis! I also got some curtain bangs recently and I'll show you how I style those as well.

I couldn't find the exact same curling wand that I'm using (since I got it a few years ago) but here's one that's very similar: https://amzn.to/35zGcMA

And if you have any recommendations for a fantastic heat protectant please let me know in the comments below!

Hope you enjoy xoxo

Hi guys welcome back to my channel so today i thought i would take the opportunity to show you guys how i usually style and curl my hair, so i used to go between curling wands. When i, like the more of a tighter curl look. I used to use this curling wand, but right now that i like more of a loose kind of wave, i've switched to this 1.25 curling wand. So i bought this curling wand years ago in amazon. So if i can find the link i'll put it down in the description, i mean it's lasted me years and it still works really really well, and i like the ability to interchange the barrels because depends on the day and what kind of curl i want, or If i want something tighter that was going to last me the whole day, i would go for like a smaller barrel, but if i want something looser, i will for sure use the 1.25 inch that i have attached right now. My hair is freshly washed and i just blow-dried it quick, nothing, fencing, nothing with the round brush or anything, and now i'm just going to show you how i curl my hair first things first is heat protectant i believe that's, what's kept my hair somewhat healthy ish As i put it through a lot - and i put it through a lot of heat - and i changed my hair color once a year - i've been blonde. I'Ve been back to brown back to blonde, so i believe getting a heat protectant right before you do any kind of styling to your hair is very, very important right now, i'm using this pantene heat primer - i don't know if i really like it or really love It it's okay, for now i'm almost done the bottle, so i really want to try something new something better than a drugstore one, just because i really want to take care of my hair, especially when i'm using these heat tools, if you guys know of any really Good heat protectant, please, let me know down in the comments. I would love your help, so we're gon na go ahead and apply the heat protectant just to spread everywhere, especially i usually put a lot more in my front pieces just because i style those a lot more. I like to work in sections when i'm curling my hair, so i do about three sections, so i part it maybe a little bit halfway. I'M just gon na put it up out of the way, and this is what we're going to work with for now, but usually i start with the smaller pieces in the back, it's about two inches of hair. All my curls are going to be going away from my face. Take this little piece and to get the back pieces, i like to just go behind my head and around bring it like. Basically, i like to leave a little bit of the end out just for more of that beachy kind of look, and i normally wait around 10 seconds per piece once i let it go. I put it right in my hand like this just to hold the curl and hold this shape a little better, and then we have the curl right here. So after i do my curls, i don't touch them until the end or play around with them or fluff them out and wait until the end until everything's cooled down. So we're just gon na go ahead and finish the rest. You know curling, your hair with the curling wand is not the hardest thing you could do. I feel that with the curling iron is a lot harder having a clasp it and you know, pull and tug this one. You just wrap your hair around the barrel and we got our curl there's just little details here and there to help you get a nicer curl, especially leaving the ends out, creates such a nice and beachy look rather than having to curl it all the way around. Usually these little pieces closest to my face: don't worry about them too much, because i'm gon na go over them again with my straightener okay, so we have one side done. Let'S finish the other side and you can play around with the amount of hair you grab and curl on your curling wand, the less amount of hair that you grab, the tighter the curl is going to be, and the bigger the strands of hair that you grab. The looser the wave is going to be not a professional by any means i mean i've watched, countless youtube videos on how to do it and gotten many tips and tricks from so many people, and this is what i found that just works for me and my Hair alright, so this is what we're working with right now, just gon na take some more of my hair down. This is my second section, but again some of it some more hair down, and i just bring the pieces that i haven't curled to the front. I have a little bit of layers in my hair, so usually i like to separate those from the longer pieces of my hair just so they can curl better. This is a shorter layer piece that i have and curl those first. This is a great arm. Workout. I'M already sore so i just curled this piece, but i didn't really like the way it turned out. So i'm just going to go back again on the same strand after i took it out, there's one that you don't really know how it turned out. You can either wait for it to cool down a bit and then reshape it or for me right now. It works that i can just re-curl it on the curling wand and then leave it for a bit longer and it'll come out looking the way i want it there we go, that's a lot better. This is when i start getting too impatient and i don't leave it for long enough, but it doesn't do the proper curl that i want. I have an event that i want my curls to last the whole day and night. I take my spray and spray each section, as i'm done say: i'm done this section, so i would just spray it with my spray and then again don't touch it till the end. Just let it rest, but i only really do that. If i want my curls to last all day and all night, but right now, it's okay, it's more of my everyday routine! If it's five o'clock and my curls are really loose by the end of the day, i don't i really don't mind so i go between holding the wand behind my head and holding the one in front the back pieces. I like to go behind my head just easier to curl, but from pieces closer to my face. I just go front instead of back over my head, whatever feels more comfortable for you most of my head done right now. What we're looking like now we're gon na take the rest of my hair down and try to find my middle part, even though it's not perfect, i can never get my middle part perfect. So this is when i start curling lower in my room pieces in the bottom. I don't care if i go really up or not, but up here i do just because i don't want the curls starting all the way up here recently i got some curtain. Bangs cut, so i leave about this much from curling with the curling wand, the face framing pieces i like to do with the straightener, because i feel i like i don't know i like the way i can control the shape of the curl with my straightener better Than with this curling wand, okay, so if you're with me we're right about this point again, like i said, i left my front pieces just because i like to use my straightener right now, i'm using the avanti ultra. It'S really good, at least my hair super soft. I got it from a hair salon, that's the one they recommended, so it's been working really well. So far when i was little, i used to have super super curly hair, and that now has left me with this curly baby hairs right here that i don't really like. So i straighten them out as well as with all these other ones here, so we're just gon na go ahead and straighten out the baby hair pieces that are too curly for my liking. Again, just take something like let this just do a little curl, just flatten them out, especially at the root. If i blow dry, my hair with the round brush, this doesn't happen, but i just freestyled my like blow dry, my hair. I was just going all over the place, didn't no rhyme or reason to it. So that's why and then, once i have something like this, i like to just straighten the piece of the end out. It'S baby hairs right here out of control, so we got ta flatten. Those out take our straightener, pretty basic stuff. I just grab and just pull forward like this and if there's some pieces that i want to curl again, i just do with my straightener. So i don't have to turn my curling wand back on, take flatten, curl curl and then let go okay. I think that's better, then take the rest of my hair that i left out grab a piece here and flatten the root up. My hair is thinning between wavy and straight, especially because i had it curly since i was young, i started using heat tools, kind of lost, all my curls, but stila still at the root. I have some waves that i want to flatten out and then once i get to about halfway and then i start twisting the hair straightener and it creates this curl again. I like the bottoms to be straighter, so i just go over it. We'Re going to keep doing that until i reach the front, face framing pieces, and then we do something different. All right. We'Ve reached my front little short curtain, bang pieces and i saw this on tick tock. So that's how i learned how to style these. We grab the piece again just i'm going to straighten my wavy pieces at the root. Take my straightener and go away from my face like this, and it creates that nice little swoop that you see ty's got to do it a few times to get it right again. Just grab and twist away from your face, bring things away from the face. I'M gon na do it again, honestly, i have to play around with it. Sometimes it doesn't do what i like it to do, especially the longer pieces go over it until i find a shape that i like so i'm gon na go over this one more time. Grab it and pull and twist away, grab, pull and twist get a little bit of hair here, pull and twist, and this is what we got side. One done now same thing on the other side, just grab the little baby hairs that i want straighter. This could either be me being really perfectionist and anal about it, or maybe i'm not the only one that does this, but i hate those little pieces that are too wavy at the root just taking my baby hairs down and dealing with them. I don't know for some reason. My right side is a lot a little bit trickier to get the curl that i want. So i have to go over it a few times same thing on this side: we're gon na pull and twist from my years of dying and coloring, my hair, i had some breakage, so we have to deal with that guy later and make sure i put extra Heat protectant on him just so it grows, we take it and straighten it, and i do the same swooping motion back away from my face and it kind of blends in a little bit, but this is after we've done everything here again this side, i, like better Than this side, i don't know not a professional guys try to work with what i have, but i thought i would just show you how i managed to do my hair see if it gives you any help. Okay, so now we're gon na spray, so i've used hairspray for years, but i just never found one that left me with a nice texture in my hair it was always super sticky and it held the curl, but it was super sticky and i didn't like touching My hair and it wasn't very movable so last time i went to get my hair cut. My hairstylist recommended this product. It'S the osis, osis shortcut professional. It'S the volume, booster spray. Essentially, it's a texturizing spray still holds, but it gives your hair a lot of movement and it doesn't leave that sticky feeling that i really didn't like we're going to go ahead and shake it up and spray it all over. Your hair start with my front pieces here underneath same thing on the other side. Okay, so once that's settled in my hair, this is where put my hair over flip it back a few times and just run my fingers through my hair, so we're gon na go ahead and flip and run fingers through flip back and forth a few times just To get all these curls separated now i just kind of fix my pieces again just run my fingers through it. The only reason we wait, we do this at the end is when the curls are hot, they're, still trying to form its shape. So when you try to separate them, when they're hot they're gon na lose its shape so right now, it's everything settled so, no matter how much you move or play with it, there's still that nice curl shape. Okay, i usually like to just dress up my move root around and i do one last round of the texturizing spray. So this is the final result. This is what i do on an everyday basis. I want to curl my hair, i'm just going to show you what it looks like from the back. This whole process takes me about 15 minutes, so it's not going to be too long out of your day. But what i like about curling, my hair with the curling wand, like this, is that the next day you don't have to do the whole process again with the sectioning and everything only some pieces become more straighter than the other. So let's say i wake up and there's some straighter pieces. I would just grab those pieces that are too straight for me and just curl them again with the curling wand, just completely personal preference, with the way you curl your hair. I just personally like to curl away from my face, but you can either interchange the way you curl your hair. Some pieces can be curled to the front. This way some pieces can be curled away from your face and it gives it that more. I guess natural look but yeah. This is the way i curl my hair every day and let me know if you want any more tips, but besides that, thank you so much for watching.
