how to save money and do your own roller set to achieve straight hair with out too much heat damage

Hello, ladies, it's me Janice, I'm back again for another hair, tutorial video and this time I'm going to show you, ladies, how to get a perfect Roller set. These are called magnetic rollers. I don't know why. There'S nothing magnetic about them! They'Re called magnetic Louis, and you can find this at any beauty supply store they go for. I think you get 12 in a pack for like 3 or 4 dollars, they're really cheap, ok and you're also going to need these pups see that these clips are yeah. They'Re called pearl clips and you there's 80 clips, and I got this for 5 bucks 5 bucks right. We need to first, I had I don't have any product in my hair. I'M gon na do is I'm going to add my leave a conditioner which is the garnet for take Fructis. Yes, so just that much a CG. This is a really good brand, and this is a style and Mathias news. This is Sal and wrap mousse and it's for heat styles or wrap or satin. What and we're doing a relish that and it's also a heat protectant, get out any tangles the size of the curler and then make sure you're. Here is what, if you dry, it's not gon na stick to the roller, make sure it's wet. I can't stress that enough. Nothing to so. You want to comb it out and get it as straight as possible, no kinks or parts in the hair else when it dries it's gon na look very sloppy, so you want to put the roller on. Take your ends and swipe them up pretty much. You could smell the with your hand and then what you want to do is hold the ends, hold the ends and roll it up. Just like that and push from the bottom push it in because sometimes they here may not walk on the roller, so push it in so like that see very smooth and you hold it down. I'M gon na take your clips and so you're gon na take it and you're gon na place the clip right there and it should be tight with one, not the neatest, and I do that we get in the bunch, but um few stray hairs. It'S not gon na make a difference. So now you want to sit under a hooded dryer. If you have the same length of hair, I have that you want to do 45 minutes because it's gon na take a while to dry. If it is shorter, I say. Maybe 20 to 30 minutes, but at least 45 minutes they want to make sure it's completely dry, so you have to finish soft, so I'm gon na go sound measure and when I'm done I'll come back to guys. Okay, ladies I'm back and my hair is dried. I was under there for an hour so for a minute. Well, it was really hot under there right this time, so it was really hot in there. So happy, I'm out of there. You choose to do at this point is basically up to you now. So some people they want to achieve volume in the route. So this is the perfect thing, but what I personally do, because I like how it comes out - and I want my hair to be straight without me - having to Flatiron. So what you're gon na do is you're gon na wrap your hair and when you wake up in the morning your Hill will be straight. So I'm gon na show you guys how about my hair make sure you have a good brush. Okay. So that's gon na comment through and you see how it instantly turns down the curls. So if you wanted something like this with slight curls and that's about volume, you could always leave your hair like this. You know fix it up a little, but you know if you like, big hair. That'S your thing and you just put the hair down like that. Um your hair might fall like, as you begin, wrapping it and might fall. So what you can do, you're not gon na leave these anchors. It'S gon na move dents in your hair, but you can put these clips in to help it keep the shape and now you're gon na take a scarf a stocking cap, something to cover your hair, and then you want to just lift it up and pull up. Those clips, so we only put two a clip, so we don't have a little bunch of clips to worry about. I'M gon na go to sleep because I'm tired and um when I wake up in the morning I'll show you guys how it's gon na come out right so I'll be back combining everyone so um. I slept with my hair wrapped overnight and now it's morning. So I'm gon na take it out. I'M gon na be using the same brush that I used to history and that's just for your apt, see it's very flat. So now it's how I take my right down, take your brush and just gently. So you don't sink going in here. Take it out like the way you wrapped it take it out when it's all down, you can style it as you please. So what I like to do, let's have a little bit of hair out in the front like that. So you see how you're here this became flat and straight it feels so soft bouncy, really bouncy and healthy. You know, and it still has a bump under like that from rollers, but it's not all curled as straight and guess what you didn't have to flat iron. Your hair so, ladies enjoyed this tutorial yeah. I hope your hair turns out great too

lady__lithium: This is great. I've been doing this kind of set on my hair for years. Depending on what kind of curlers I use I can achieve different kinds of curls (big ones for a looser curl, smaller ones for a tighter curl) but I had no idea you could use this to straighten your hair too. This is a great alternative to flat-ironing it every other day. I'm going to try it and see if it works for my very curly hair! Thank you!

18932: You are a saint for sharing this! Its transformed my hair. Everything you showed was true for my hair. I have trouble wrapping my hair because its so long, but I can deal :) I've told everyone i know who wants straight hair without damage to watch your vid!

mz artsy: this is honestly AMAZING! i have naturally very curly hair and using the straightener causes a lot of damage, this is so awesome!!!!!!! i'm going to try this and try to perfectionize it the way u did! U GO GIRL! :D

Whats Up Familia: this was a great tutorial!! i think it's the best one i've seen by far on roller setting! and i also learned how to wrap hair :) thank you for posting this :)

jeanie smith: Thank you for such a great tutorial...I'm going to try those big rollers....I've been using the smaller ones and I want a more strighter look and you've just showed me...thank you

maresxpeacenlove: Ahhh... the Dominican method. Memories from my childhood come back to me watching this when my mom always straightened my hair using this method back when I had it relaxed. The rollers were referred to as "rolos" and the wrap set as a "doobie". Now that I'm becoming natural, I wonder that I can use this method with my new curlier hair to at least prepare it for flat ironing.

Ms Anointed: Omg! Your hair came out beautiful I so need to try this! Thanks for sharing x

Nicole Garvin: Thanks. This video is exactly what i was looking for. And your hair turned out beautiful

missbritt1986: Great tutorial! This really helped me out. Thanks.

applegirl055: Thank you for your video. You make things simple and easy to understand.

LilLight25: wow! this is just what I was looking for!!! thanks ALOT :D last year I flat ironed my hair alot and now my hair is beggining to have split ends and becoming dry. So now since I own magnetic rollers I'm going to try to do this to style my hair fit school. :) your hair us nicee.

Daina Goldenberg: wow this is a great tutorial and your hair looks beautiful!

Detroit Icey: This is one the BEST rollerset tutorials I've seen on youtube...NICELY DONE!!!!

KeaneLuvr: Very good video. I still haven't mastered roller setting, but this shall help! Your hair is lovely!

Jane Patrick: OH MY GOD! THANK YOU! I just bought this set of rollers (ya nothing magnetic about them, don't get the name.) and I had a huge hard time trying to set them. I have hair down to the top of my butt so it's even more difficult for me. Thanks so much!!!!

SoftNSweetG: Thanks for posting this vid. I tried to roller set a few nights ago and it was horrible. My question is how did you keep your hair shiny? I use the same leave in conditioner but a different setting lotion and my hair comes out dull.

Andrea M: Omg.... This is awesome it was exactly what i was looking for.. thanks :D

MysticMusicc269: Thank you sooo soo much! cant wait to try this now. been waiting for someone to actually fully explain it to me! Thanksie!! ^.^

lissla4ever: This was an amazing video!! You also have beautiful hair =) Can't wait to try it out!!

lady__lithium: Hey there. I have tried on my VERY curly natural hair to let it dry without using heat and sadly it just does not work. I'm not sure why, but my hair still retained the curl after I took down the curlers. I think its a reaction between the curlers, the heat and the setting mousse/lotion that loosens the curl pattern and makes it straight. You will be left with curls, but they will not be straight, they will still have the natural curl of your hair. Hope that makes sense.

anpvk7: This is one of the best roller sets/doobie wraps I have seen on youtube! Do you have a relaxer? What texture is your hair when curly?

Mercy1119: Wow it came out soooo pretty...I'll have to try this.

gangstaLOVER: thank you so much i went out and exchanged my bobby pins for those clips instead , makes it so much easier !

Franiana Scott: I like to use the big duck pins since it leaves less dents when it comes to doing the wrap but personally, i like to give it a blow out afterwards to have the salon look =]

Jaylin C.: I HAVE THE SAME SCARF :D Btw: nice video!! I can't wait to see what my hair will look like.

SweetRavelle: Omg, thank you much for this I now have to do my hair because my hair dresser of which I've fine to for several years over processed my hair. Thank you much

CurlyRedTricia: omg i love this video now i can do it on my sister

nicholepat71: Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Everything Ash: Love this video and they're called magnetic rollers because when your hair comes in contact with the roller it sticks to the roller replicating two magnets contacting haha

LADYSLiiK15: those clips are called double prong clips :) & maybe you can also try a roller set using waving lotion & usually you back comb after the roller set :) this is is a nice roller set with great tension! nice vid.

whimsicalbeautyy: i was just wondering where you got the rollers and the clips?? great video :D

bathnbodyworks2: this is good video now i have an alternative to blow drying and straightening, so i'll be losing less hair now my hair can be healthier when i treat it at home. thanks!!!!!

ana kandeec: can you just pass the blow dryer around your head until your hair dries instead? for ppl who dont have the gold and hot dryer/:)

SashaJo: Great video! :)

ThaPoetess: You're so pretty and your hair looks awesome!!

petitemure: wonderful thanks a lot

Jaylin C.: Omg thank you sooo sooo much my hair looks cute n idid it by ma self!!!! i totally subbed cause this was a huge help,,its sad that you dont post vids anyone....ididnt get my hair as good as yours cause the rollers are tricky but its legable!

Angie Feliz: Hey, nice video! I'm looking to buy a new dryer. What is the brand of the dryer you have?

Mmhm.: Thank You! Best on YouTube by far.

Mary M: Do you relax your hair or not? BTW you know its easier to buy one of those hair nets and put the hair in then take off the bobby pins & wrap them in the scarf. That's how i do it ;D Also, I wish i could do them on my own! I have a lot of crazy hair so its kind of difficult (my mom has to do them for me :( )

c rb: amazing :)

pastlover1996: i'm going to try this! i all ready have the curlers you make the wrapping part look so easy. can you do this type of with out any heat any heat at all? have you every tried to let it air dry? please answer my question

Fiorella Jones: where did you get this set of rollers!?

fgrogan: Great Job!

Arlene Gil: @afinechild I own one of these also, it's pretty much just a dryer, you don't attach it to anything but you have to (yeah have to) have some sort of table to place it on. I find it really uncomfortable personally, since there's not much space for me to put it in @ my place, I rather the type of dryers that come with a hood (looks like a shower cap) and you simply put the hat on and plug it in. As far as price is concerned I got mine for about 30 bucks at a beauty supply.

souraya BE: magnifique :)

The Scoop: GOOD JOB!

Vee: what color is that in your hair? I love it!

katherine nin: @koiname2 the dryer doesn't cause as much heat damage as a blow dryer and a blow dryer will take longer.

LaKeisha Barnes: What color is that in your hair? it is beautiful.

mo bandy: wow your hair is soo pretty!

Amara: u have very pretty hair...im so inspired..how did you made your hair to be so healthy and thick

LTEuroGirl: i like it how u dont have any fly aways...sweetie, what kinda product did u use to make ur hair look so bouncy, shiny and frizz free?? It looks beautiful! Does that product make ur hair oily? i know this is about the magnetic rollers, but im concerned about the product that u used. lol

⚜️Fleur Harleaux⚜️: Great video

mixdiamonds: cute! im goin to try it..

Alba Nydia Guadalupe: @Koiname2 I always usr my blowdryer to dry my hair when I do my rollers n it takes an hour to completely dry... And I havent suffer heat damage :)....hope I helped...

C C: Trick i use is take aluminum foil and make it into a tube and attach to the dryer then cut a hole in a plastic bag and tape it to the foil tube and put over your head i tried it and it works fast

Hydra Bar Salon: Good Tutorial.

soulcandy24: PERFECT

18932: @pastlover1996 I let mine air dry, worked all the same

Maria Hayden: can u do yhis with really curly hair?

infamiss23: thanks for the video

sweetbee06: really nice

deeray126: omg this is the best ive seen so far yipee finallly

Alba Nydia Guadalupe: @armanaqueen ...when I let my rollers air dry my hair is kinda fluffy and puffy n I do not like it..i make sure to apply heat to it...

Kesha Jones: Very nice

ThaPoetess: random, but i heard that the reason why those rollers are called magnetic is because when your hair is wet they stick to the roller like their magnetic.

Titi paname: Waaw i don't know if u watch bollywood movie but u really look like Karishma Kapoor especially with the scarf on. And i love her beauty, love the tut tnx

Bougie Doll Brand: @smexxylexxi do you have the conair set from avon

bubbles123: omg do yall put soap in yewr hair lol cuz when i put soap in my hair it goes to a fro XD ndd yewrs is all pretty and flat!
