Cutting My Own Hair & Bangs With Fabric Scissors (Ft Squiggly Scissors) | Jenerationdiy

If you guys don't know, last year, i cut my own hair, like i'm doing today in a video where i used squiggly scissors. If you've seen that video, you know it did not go well gave me like a million split ends, but it ended up being like oak well, no now that i have one experience of cutting my hair myself, i still don't know how to do it properly. So i watched a brad mondo video on how to cut your hair yourself. First of all, let's take a look at how long my hair is um. It is very long like it's too long. It'S like ariana grande length, but like it's actually attached to my head, and you know what i was thinking about. This might be a topic for another time but, like you know how people get hair extensions that are made of human hair for what it is. It'S like so cheap, i'm on bellamy, hair and it's like dollars for 20 inches. Like isn't that insane. You have to grow that for like years and years and years, and it's only 160 dollars like what kind of it doesn't make sense to me. I feel like there must be some sort of sweatshop factory, but for like growing hair anyway. All of that is to say my hair is really long and unfortunately it is bleached, so i don't think i can donate it, but here's the plan. Last time i did use squiggly scissors. We know it was a bad decision, this time, i'm using fabric scissors. This is larger than my head. It'S a large boy! Why am i using this? Well, in my experience, fabric scissors are super sharp, i'm not gon na be using this to you know, obviously like do detailed stuff, but for the large cuts i'm gon na be using this just to like make things easier. So i also have like legit hair scissors for like the more detailed stuff, so i think i want to cut it like here i would go shorter. I truly would like i love having short hair, but we are going into the winter months, so i do want to be like kind of warm and i do live in canada. So if i did have shorter hair, like i just feel like, i wouldn't be as warm and then i also want to hear me out. Okay hear me out. I also want to cut my own bangs - okay, not like straight across bangs, but like curtain bangs. Maybe like this type of thing - i don't know - i don't know, i don't know i'll just cut now and freak out later, which sounds like a pretty good plan. To me, i'm just gon na comb through it, so i watched the brad mondo video and he split it into four sections, so i split it down the middle first and then he said to go from the apex of your head down to get two sections there's, Like two very different sized chunks, do i care about that? I you know this is. This is probably where a professional hairstylist would come in handy. Did i learn my lesson from last time from cutting my own hair? No, he said to balance a comb. I don't have a comb, but this is the top. This is the top of my head here right. If i go down behind my ear, you're supposed to tie off this hair as straight as possible, ah come on there, we go. Is that flat? It'S like good enough right. Okay, i'm gon na pull it down. That'S way too short that hurts kind of i'm not gon na lie to you. I think i'm gon na oh yeah. I got all ah that hurts quite a bit. I think i tied it too. Tight there we go. I was just being dramatic, gon na use just a regular elastic. Instead, i think that's good, i'm gon na add a hair tie here. How do i do this? I'M sweating that kind of doesn't feel right. At the same time, though, it's like i don't do i really care about the back of my head, like who's really gon na be looking just my pillow okay, you know what i really don't care anymore. I'M just gon na move on to the other side and see where my apex is because, like i totally forgot that was there, okay back section is the hardest. Is that straight? Oh, you know what i kind of feel like. I feel like madison beer in her music video with her like ponytails. Do i love like madison bearer? I know i do you don't have to be jealous anyway. Okay, i'm gon na shimmy it down to like where i want to cut. That is a little short. Isn'T it first, i got ta check that these are all lined up. That'S not now. Is it okay, i'm starting to significantly first right now, i'm fine you're, fine, you're, fine, you're, fine, i'm fine, we're all fine! It'S fine! Everything'S! Fine! I feel like it's fine. You know what it's fine, i'm gon na add a hair tie first, just like cut off the large chunk of it, and then we can go from there. Am i being dramatic like, of course, all right? This is before it all goes down all right. Scissors in hand, let's just do it, i'm fine, i'm fine! If i could do it last year, i could do it this year. You know what i just want or come on. You'Re gon na look really good with an all-new cutting edge design. You can do it. I think my body's in shock - oh, why does this always happen? I feel like hair off the body is just so gross there's something about dead hair. That'S just so gross. It'S so interesting because when hair is on our head, we're so obsessed with it and we want more of it and we want a long length of it, but then the second that is off our head. It'S like disgusting, and it's like so foreign anyway. First chunk is off pro tip fabric. Scissors are actually kind of lit, i'm just trying to like keep it cool. You know, let's go, let's, oh, not, let's not get this chunk in there. It'S happening. It'S happening. It'S happening. It'S happening, i got ta, go i'm back easy, um, sir, but i'm only human. I did curtain bangs, oh my god, i look like sia wait. I can be sia. Who do we look like hmm? You know who i kind of look like. What'S his name he's like a country singer, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Wait! It'S not blake shelton! It'S that other guy. Give me a second. Where did i think i fell? I look really scary. I look like the orphan, but i found him. Oh, my god. Okay, first, do you have that picture in your mind, okay, hear me out all right hear me out keith urban a little bit right. We do be twins, though, who else do i look like kind of like taylor? Swift? No, that's a reach! Okay! Anyway, that was only the easy part. Now i have to like actually make it look nice you're supposed to do a little up, cutting that's not what it's called, but let's try this that do not look good, though, am i doing anything you don't like sure, like. I feel like that's even enough, so i'm gon na move on to the back. Now this guy is chonky. I don't know what i'm doing and like yes, i could go to a salon. First of all, i feel like it's kind of dangerous right now and also i feel like year after year. I have to get better right. Maybe i shouldn't dance with scissors. I guess it's time to pull it out. That'S what he said. That'S what she said. That'S what everyone said: let's do it! Oh, it's so short smell. It'S so short, i oh my god. That is not the same length! Oh! No! Oh! No! Oh! No! Oh! That is not the same. You can literally see, oh my god. It'S so light, though wait. I love it, it's so short, it's so short. It'S so short! I really like it, though i feel like charlie demilio yeah. The length is like it's not the same. Isn'T that different like? Is it um? Oh yeah, yeah, it's like kind of bad. I yeah! I don't really know how to fix it. Also, i thought that more of my blonde tips would be gone, so maybe i feel like i want to dye a color that might be cool, but anyway see like last time. I had a length difference too, but i also had like the v at the back and this time. I don't think that i have it, so i think it definitely was an improvement. You know it's like not the worst. Actually, it's not that sure. I think i was freaking out for no reason like it really isn't that bad am i just trying to like make myself feel better all right. I watched the rest of the video for layering and it looks like i have to split my hair back into the four sections i actually want to like didn't. I learned my lesson from last time, but i kind of want to whip out these again because i feel like hear me out. I feel like these provide a little bit of like you know, to take away the the bluntness of the cut um yeah. Let'S not do that. It'S just giving me split ends again like i did, learn my lesson but like. Why do i keep going back to it? It'S like a toxic relationship, but anyway, apparently you're supposed to let half of it down, tie it off cool, okay, cool bro, my arms hurt so much what you're supposed to do is cut off some of the bottom. Next section i was gon na say that looks pretty good to me, but i also don't know what good it's supposed to look like. So it looks neutral to me. I really don't know if i did anything sure i can't really tell i feel like there are some layers, but it looks really packed like you can kind of see where the layers are just like disappointment. Overall, oh this side's, not bad. I think it looks pretty decent, i'm just trying to convince myself at this point. Okay, now for the bangs, i don't really know how i don't really know. If i'm gon na watch a tutorial, i feel like you just do whatever and hope it looks. Okay, i feel like there's no there's no method to bangs. There definitely is, but i'm just gon na pretend there's not because like i'll just have my myself to blame and i'm okay with that is that equal, because we want, we truly want equality here dude. I don't know this is what i'm gon na start with i'm gon na start small in case i hate it and there's no way. I hate this okay cool cool for the summer kind of cute. Did i mess up? I got ta do more. Oh. I think i have to do more um am i stupid, like i might be dude. I feel like i'm looking more and more like keith urban. Am i over doing this? Oh no. I barely gave myself bangs but they're like they're there. I'M scared that i'm gon na mess it up. So i think that's all i'm gon na do for the bangs. I feel like i kind of chickened out honestly dude. I look like keith urban. I don't know, i don't know, i think i'm just going to leave it there, and this way i can still kind of hide them, but if i want to like curl them or something they might look cute, i feel like the bangs are not the worst, but Overall, i love the length of the hair. I can have little pieces hanging off the side. Oh my god, how cute that's cool, i think i'm gon na go, show my family and see what their reactions are. Hello.
