Hey guys welcome back so today I'm going to be showing you guys how we do soft locks with some bangs inspirations shout out to NECA, also known as African, join on Instagram and I'll link, her page right here, but yeah, so we're gon na start off. By of course, Murray's edge wax, and you guys already know if you've watched our previous videos that I use this to help with parting and making sure that the hairs are laid down nice and meet me and we're just gon na part. Her hair all the way around and section it off and start to braid her hair individual. So once you're done, braiding you're just going to take you a crochet needle and put it through the loop. That is on the soft block and I'm just using that to help me open up that loop a little bit more then you're going to take the crochet needle place it through the braid and then you're going to take that loop place it on the crochet hook. Bring it through the braid you're going to open up that loop, you had and place the end of the soft lock in that loop and just pull like you're gon na pull both the braid and the soft lock, and you just want to have a secure base Right there, so I'm gon na pull lightly. Then what I do is take the soft lock and we're going to wrap it around for natural hair. You want to rap in the direction that the softlock is going and you'll know. What'S inside, left left in your hand and you're just going to continue wrapping until you get to the end of her natural hair and what I like to do after that is just rough it and between my fingers a little bit just to make sure it's secure And to ensure that her natural hair doesn't pop out of the way, okay, so time to get into the bank. I had removed the braids that were previously there in the front and just took them out and made the parts a little bit smaller, because we wanted the banks to be a little bit fuller. So just remember it's never a permanent thing. You can always go back and fix things if you need to, and right now you'll just see me sectioning off her natural hair and braiding that first, so you do have the option of pre cutting your soft locks at a length that you want for your bangs And then pull chain in or you can crochet the original length of the soft lock and then cut it afterwards, which is what I prefer, but I'll show you those ways here we have a couple of the pre-cut soft locks and I'm just going to crochet those In as I would with any of the other pieces of soft block that we crocheted and previously put it through the loop and drag both pieces, the lock and her hair through pull and then wrap that around her natural hair. Now I'm adding the full-length pieces of the soft lock to the bang area and you'll see later on how I trim it and make it aligned with the rest of the soft locks. Okay. So now, I'm just gon na bring the rest of her hair down. Just to get a better idea of how everything we cook together and then I'm just gon na take some regular scissors and just trim the longer softlocks to match up with the shorter ones that we have cut previously and just make it frame her face. So now I'm just going to backtrack a little bit and show you guys how we extend soft locks and make them 36 inches because they do come as 18 inch locks. So what you're going to do is take a piece of one of the soft locks and you're going to separate it completely and then we're going to take the end of the soft, lock you're trying to extend open it up a little bit and you're going to Place the open, the soft lock that you separated and put it through that loop and then you're just going to wrap around and you're just going to keep on wrapping all the way down to the end. And it will give you a 36 inch. Soft lock. All right, so we finish extending all the locks we finished framing her face with the bangs and we kept it pretty light. You didn't want to make her hair too full because she wanted to be one of updos with this style, so having less locks would make it easier for her and of course we always have to do our edges. So I'm gon na take some gorilla snot and put it on a clean spoolie and we're just gon na go ahead and lay her edges down, even though you won't be able to see them, but we still like to have that done just in case. You know. Alright, so we are done. This is the final look, it's a really quick and easy protective style to do, and I hope it was easy for you guys to follow along, and I hope you do try this style at home and if you do tag us on instagram at a freak hair And we would love to see how it looks thanks guys, okay, so really quickly. I thought I'd come back and show you guys how to do two updo styles with this look and yes, you can do it the same day. You'Ve gotten your hair done without anything and yeah, just going to show you how to do a ponytail and also a bun. So you won't need any other tools. You can just use the locks that are in your head and you'll just take some on the back, wrap that around and make fun soaks them, and you can do the same for a bun. But we will be coming out with how to style these videos later. On and Carl here the model she will post that for you guys, and hopefully you guys can follow along with her and she'll show you all. The different looks that she was able to do with this style.
