Hey beauties welcome back. If you are new here, welcome welcome. My name is kayla moore. I have such a special video for you, ladies. I wanted to do something a little sassy, cute edgy, and i wanted to come on here and show you guys how i do it. It'S a super simple, easy method, but i wanted to do a bob faux loc look last time i did my faux locs. I did them to about here. I want to say yeah because they weren't even long now. Normally i would do long box braids senegalese twists. I love me some long braids, but this time i wanted to do something. That'D kind of help have me stepping out the box a little bit and i'm glad i did it because i love it. My hair is not heavy at all, it's very lightweight, so i hope you guys enjoyed the video. I am going to give more details during the video in the back i forgot to mention. I did cut the hair in half, but i used the same method on how to install these. That'S the only thing that i did different but other than that i will catch you on the next one. I still have more in store for you guys. So stay tuned, happy holidays. Merry christmas and i love you guys be safe, hey, ladies, so what i did? I'M just going to start off by showing you the hair that i used, which is the rastafari malibu, kinky, braid or kinky afro. I forgot which one it was called, but all i did was um well. I used a 14 inch hair. I think last time i used the 18 inch to get that bob effect. I am going to show you in just a bit how i achieved that, but to do the back of my hair, it was challenging to record because i needed to see what i was doing. I just cut all that you see all the hair right there. I cut it in half and then i used each half piece to achieve the bob look for the back, so i went a lot shorter, but for the front just like i showed you i'm going to use those full strands just like it is so i did Use about three or four to keep my hair, moisturized and hydrated y'all know i love curling handsome smoothie. This is all i use for my for my hair to protect it and keep it moisturizing, hydrated underneath and then my famous shine in gel eco style gel. For my edges and then i skimmed across this tropical roots foam and that's just to set the style at the end. And i actually like that product a lot. And then i use the blow dryer as well just to dry, that foam, okay and all the products that i'm going to be not products, the tools, hair clips and oh this is my favorite, the rat tail comb. I just took a few of the teeth off and i left that by itself just so i can part evenly. I love that i was able to get a nice crisp part for the top in the back. I didn't care too much, but for the front i at least wanted my partings need: okay, okay, so you are going to start off by placing that curling handsome smoothie and creating a two strand twist. The reason i do this is just to make sure that all my hair strands are together and safely, underneath the hair so you're going to have one piece. One side is going to be shorter than the other, and the other side is going to be longer you're going to take that longer piece and start wrapping it under you want to place it under the twist and then start wrapping it around your your twist. For about maybe four or five times, not tight, just firm, so your scalp shouldn't be pulling you. Should it shouldn't hurt at all honestly you're just going to work your way halfway down, and this is just setting the foundation. So this is, this is actually what i'm going to lock my hair around. So i'm gon na take two hair strands same thing: one short side, one long side, the shorter side, you're gon na grab the um your base, like that, hold it together and then now you're gon na wrap. The other side me about two or three times and you're gon na start working your way down. Okay, now i know i did not record the back, but i did go off of the length in the back meaning when i cut the hair in half. I made sure that, however long i wanted to make this bob, i was going to make sure that each lock would line up with it if that makes sense. So when i got to the front, i went a little longer just to kind of give me more of a bob effect, but in the back and in the middle i made sure that they were as even as possible. Okay, so you just want to measure. However, whatever your desire is, and then you are going to take that piece and you're going to twist it like so i'm going to show you guys again, all you're going to do is twist it and then you're going to start working your way back up, and That'S just to make sure that that's how you lock the um, the faux locs, that's how you get that nice short faux, loc, look without cutting your natural hair without even cutting the hair itself. All you do is twist and then you start working your way up. Okay, now this part is optional. You can tie the end of that hair. I'M just going to show you just in a knot and secure it like that and then start working your way back down. You don't have to do that method. I just want to show you guys something different which you can do, and i rub the hair together in my hands. This is just make sure that it sticks you guys this hair is so bomb. I got it from the beauty supply store. The reason why i do that is because it meshes really well together and it actually stays like. I can rock this for a month. Um freshen up my edges. If i want you can go two weeks to a month whatever you like, but it will stay. It'S not going to unravel the rest. All i do is just part, some more just kind of set the foundation, and then it just makes the process go by faster too then i just start the process over again, you are more than welcome to use as many strands as you like. Um just know that i believe the thicker they are the heavier it will be. I haven't done anything thicker than this, even when i had them a little longer. I didn't go thicker only because i just kind of want it to look um super natural as natural as possible. Okay, i also wanted a more textured look, so i added a few of these spring um twist curls. All i did was just separate. I got one hair strand and then i just split it in half and separated, and then i grabbed a random faux loc, i'm just going to grab the one i just did and the way the way it gives it an extra textured. Look. There'S one: okay! Look! You see that right there. That'S that curl, that i wrapped around my faux loc and i'm just gon na do the same thing. So, when you're doing this you're, just gon na do the exact same method, you're gon na use the same method but super loose. Like you do not want to pull at all when you are doing it um you wan na make sure that even at when you get to the end, you can tie it down. You don't have to tie it down again. This hair meshes well with the rastafari hair like so bomb, but i just like to show you guys this technique or method, because just in case, if you want to feel that you know your hair is secure and it's not going to unravel, you can definitely tie It in a knot like that and then cut it, and then there you are, this just gives it a little more texture and i just randomly just kind of did peekaboo ones all over okay and then i get my foam and all i do is apply it On my scalp on the hair, this is just gon na set the style and just to keep it nice and hydrated too and moisturize. I actually love this product. My hair, my scalp, does not itch my scalp feels great. I will forever use this product, i'm not disappointed at all, and my locs still look fresh and good okay and you want to take that blow. Dryer put on a low setting heat and just wait till all the foam is dry and there you are. So. Ladies. Thank you for joining me on this video. I hope you guys really liked it. I hope it was easy for you to grasp and get have fun switch it up. I love you all. May your day be blessed, you
