Well, hello, my both eyes: it is your favorite youtuber, slash southern belle Shakira. Now back with this dope, crochet braid tutorial you guys. This is the first time I've ever installed them in my own hair, like I've, never one crochets, but I've done them on other people. So I just decided to do this little quick style for the summer, because just I'm tired of just doing my own hair. So this is really easy. Someone to show you how it is okay, so we're going to use a four packs of this Jamaican bounce from the African collection, and here I'm going to start off by braiding my hair. Now I am a natural idea wash my hair today before I section it into four sections: braided and the next day it was stretched out. So that's how you get it in this state here, so that it's not currently or whatever. What it's with helper girl. I'M already messing up in this voice. Oh you all know. If you're new to my channel, I do not rerecord my voice over. So if I mess up, it is what it is. So here I am just braiding my hair and you guys. I use the same pattern that beauty can brain used if I'm gon na put in her description or link in the description box. I also saw I'm Jody the brilliant beauty. She did the same pattern minds a little bit different, but ultimately it is the same, but they have the best tutorial showing how to actually do the braid pattern so check them out. So here I'm just going to show you how I actually installed the pieces. What you do is you take your crochet needle and you take it up under the braid. You pull the extension through or the piece or trigger that's not a trick whatever it is. You pull it through and you pull it tight so that it can be secure. Now I'm going to speed this up, because this took me every bit of what an hour to do and I don't want you are watching an hour-long video, although I think I am rather entertaining. I just don't think that's something you guys want to watch so now. I'M just going to continue to install each piece and, as I go across the front of my hair, the closer I am to the in front. I turn it out by separating the pieces and just because I don't want real fool in the top or in the front, because I don't want to walk around looking like Cowardly Lion. Looking like something straight off of The Wizard of Oz, okay, I just want it to look real natural. So, that's basically, why you see me grabbing the real stand pieces. Is I just want a real thin as I get to the front or around my edges, or what have you plus you don't want a real heavy and weighing down you want your edges when you take it down so yeah. So as I move to the back, you guys it's really really not a hard technique. The most difficult part would be just your braid pattern, because, depending on how you apply your brace that's the way the hair is gon na lay. So keep that in mind and like I said, if you're not a real strong braider, if you don't know how to cornrow honey, get somebody get your mom I'll, get your grandmama somebody and your family knows how to bring oh get somebody to break the hair. For you guys, I mean once so embrace it. The install is very simple and from what I heard it cost like 200 bucks to get those shops. The African braid is to do it. Child sanam Cohen, get somebody to braid your hair for ten dollars and then just apply them yourself. Okay, so here I'm just going to continue to apply these pieces and we are going to just speed this up and you guys can just watch as I move along. My head honestly, the whole technique is like real repetitive, like once: you get the braids down and you figure out how to actually latch the hair and pull it through the braids baby. You are a crocheting pro that point okay, so basically all I can really do to teach. You is just get you all to watch like break the hair. You slide the needle underneath you apply the hair into the needle you latch it pull it through. Not it boom you're done. Okay, like it's so easy, a caveman can do it like for real. You guys and I think a lot of times when we look at these hairstyles. It looks a lot more complicated than it actually is, but I can assure you the only thing about this particular style is the fact that it could take a little while to install if you're not used to doing your hair. I promise you guys if I can do it, you can do it, I'm not a very strong braider. I don't know how to do here. I don't have a license. I just experiment on my own head only got to learn how to braid. So that's really really important. With this crochet technique, you have to know how to braid, hair and, depending on what type of or texture of the crochet hair that you get like. If you get straight hair or any other texture, you may have to braid a little bit different or set a pattern to be a little different from this. So you just want to learn how to do that in general, because there's always a convenience e to learn how to do hair and braid, especially if you in college gear, because if you learn how to do this and of African charges $ 200 girl, you can Make you a quick, fifty quick, seven to five quick, quick deal: okay, real, quick in the dorm room. You got you enough money from your snacks and you Zuzu's and winds, or maybe even a book that you need so yeah. You got ta, be high. You'Re gon na learn a hustle these days, ain't, nothing out your cheek, so anyways yeah, I'm just gon na continue to fill it up and, like I said when I get closer to the front, I thin the hair out. So it doesn't look real big. I don't want to be out here, looking like a Pokemon or a Pikachu, would you know a chia pet or whatever you know so anyways you guys that's pretty much it for this style. Now, I'm going to just shape it up a little bit with my shears. Just to get it to frame my face a little better, so I just kind of clip it a little bit and um. That'S basically it for this style. You guys, I am actually loving it. The colors that I use alright number four and a number one and again the Jamaican bounce from African collection, if you guys enjoyed this tutorial, be sure to thumbs up and subscribe to my channel and turn those notifications on until next time. My boo things love you guys. Adios peace out and bye bye go hypo, taking no hold on me. I knew I got it. I see in my head one more time.

K Muir: Love your video. Educational as well as entertaining. I love the look. Ya got a new subscriber. (•.~)

Rae: Thank you!! I'll never understand why people pay $200+for this + hair. This is definitely simple. Ima go for it

Maliya Parson: The moisture and the shine of your braids gave me life

BabyBeyonce09: You are hilarious!! The people around here will braid your hair for $10, but you won't have any edges left!!! #NoThankYou #IWillBraidMyOwn #MyEdgesMatter I love the look on you!

gabzz: Seriously, who's getting away with charging $200 for crotchet braids? I need to get in on that action. This hair is super cute

That White Male: funny how this hair is jamaican bounce and its not in Jamaica

Josie: This looks great and I love how you keep it real!

hairCARTEL: Looks super natural

lilce51286: I love this style and for me i would even keep the front braids exposed where it showed 3 or 4 cornrows - be great for summer. Thanks for the idea - now your braid pattern is great for thick natural hair lol quick and simple

RoNae Marshall: lol I am weak. This is how I made my money in last semester

Jianni Scott: I love the honesty!! You are not lying when you speak of the prices for how much they are charging!! Its an overkill!!

Jeanette R. R.: she said save them coins!! lol

kimberry2010: You look like Tracee Ellis Ross! Gorgeous style. :)

I wanted them really nice so I called a braider to get an estimate and was told that they start at $250. After that I got on YouTube and binged watched tutorials. I just wish I was stronger braider. I can braid tight and even on someone else, but it is difficult for me to braid my own hair. Now I have to go to a braider for my braid pattern and I get charged $25-$50. I need a friend who can braid!
