Hi everyone, the Suzanne, this video is going to be on how I style my hair, and I do just have a bob haircut, I'm growing out my bangs, and so I just kind of moved them to the side as much as I can and ever since I Started winging out these little pieces, several of you have asked for me to do a hair tutorial on how I do that. So I thought I would just go ahead and film it I'm not in my bathroom, though so I have a little tiny mirror that I'm looking in. Hopefully this will go well, and I will warn you that there are phases in this where I look absolutely ridiculous. So just try to ignore that I do cut my own hair and it's just in a shoulder length. Bob. It'S not angled. It'S just the same length all the way around, and then I have some very long layers that I have all the way around. My head of hair, so once I have all my hair pretty much straightened and I just kind of cup this section under just slightly on the sides and then in the back. I just flip up the very bottom part and then I go in - and I add some height in my crown and I pull it forward and blow-dry it so that I'm not putting a hot Flatiron on to damp hair at all. And then I just kind of gently comb through it so that it's not real stiff. I take my Flatiron and starting at the root I kind of over direct forward and then arch. It back and I do put a little bit of a bend in the ends. As well, I go in then at the very root with my dry shampoo spray, just the roots, and then I take a teasing brush and I just push down that hair just about three times and then I just let it stick up. While I do this whole process so that it can just thoroughly dry and kind of set for more volume, you and then once I have the very crown of my head volumize, I go in right on the side right about here on both sides and just add A little bit of volume to that area as well just with my hairspray and I do over direct it going the opposite way of how I want it to lay. And then I just do the same thing on the other side. And then, if I have any weird bins and my hair from my wave, I just typically go in with the flat iron and just straighten that out, and I do always direct my hair forward. Once my hair is straightened, and I volumize my crown - I go in and I add my little pieces on the side that stick out and all I do is because my haircut is just a bob with some long layers and my layers are about to here. I just take the shortest layers on the side and spray them with a little bit of hairspray dry them, and then I flip them out with my Flatiron. I also flip out a little bit of my bangs too, and I am growing out my bangs, so they're kind of in an awkward stage. So I just kind of you know angle them to the side and flip out a little piece just so it kind of goes with the side pieces flipping out. So just grab a section of the side of my hair with the shorter layers and then I just take my hairspray and spray the ends of it. Then I take a comb and just comb through it and then I kind of just pull it straight out and let it just dry like that and then again on the other side same thing, and I guess I kind of go halfway on my side, you and Then I sprayed my fingers and just take some ends of my bangs put some hairspray on it and just kind of pull them out, because those are the little pieces I'm going to wing as well. And then you want to make sure that they're completely dry before you put your Flatiron on them, just say that you don't burn your hair with the hairspray on them. So I just kind of hit those areas with the blow-dryer and then I take my comb and just very gently. Come through the hair sprayed little piece on the side that I'm going to wing out before I wing it, and I just take my Flatiron and curve it and you can curve it. So it kind of goes back or you can curve it kind of straight out. Depending on the look that you want - and this looks really silly - I feel like I'm a founding father or something with these curls on the side, but once it's done, I think it looks really cute okay, so once you get the two little side wings, I just Let those sit and cool while I work on my bangs. The next thing that I do is add a little bit of texture to my hair and I like the Moroccan oil dry, texture spray and you just shake it up, and then I just kind of hold. My hair out and spray it and I spray it completely all around my head of hair and then I flip my head upside down and blow dry up for just a second and then you should have something that looks kind of like this, and I just run My fingers through it then I also like to take my hair spray spray, my hands and just work it up into the roots of my hair, all the way around just for added, lift and then to just finish off the bear ends. I take a temperature clay and mines just by Moroccan oil. You can use any type of texture clay that you like, and I just take a tiny, tiny bit and rub it between my fingers and then I just kind of pinch it on the ends of my hair, just to kind of piece it out a little bit And add a little bit more texture to it, and I do kind of go along the little flippy areas and also right up on the crown and then my final step is just to take my teasing brush and very lightly just brush my hair. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for watching you,

MAKEUP FOR MATURE SKIN: Great tutorial! I'm growing my hair out as well. My stylist went a little crazy on my last cut. Super cute style!

RebeccasRoses: Hi Anne, I LOVE your hairstyle.  Its SO beautiful!!! I will have to try this. I think it is so attractive and stylish!!!  I think if you cut your own hair you sure do have a lot of talent. Especially how it looks just so perfect. Have a great weekend! :) xoxoxo Love Becki

Jacqui Mg: Anne you’re addicting. :) I started watching your channel about a month ago. You are so down to earth and you do a great deal of research on products. Thank you! Your hair is very flattering by the way.

light: I have been so happy with my hair style since I am cutting my own hair no more disappointing moments after spending $70 at a hair salon! I really admire your patience Ann M and you have a beautiful hair at the end!

Wendy Mac: Hi Anne, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. I was laughing with my husband the other day about the hair styling faces. I have some goofy ones, but they are important because our hair is important business! I do a lot of the same steps as you. The one that I learned after burning my hands repeatedly was that I use a comb when I use more than one pass on my hair at times when straightening. I have been known to also have three big round brushes in my hair at once as my hair is cooling down from product and after blow drying. Your hair looks so incredibly great at this length! I am currently using a Paul Mitchell gel as a final step, it gets the fly aways to lay flat. Also, I am using the Framesi Brand Shampoo and Conditioner from Cosmo Prof and it is so moisturizing. (wow, my comment is long). I hope you have a great week Anne!

Lynn Morris: Wow. What a great tutorial and your hair looks so good! I picked up some great tips and will put them to use when I next wash my hair. Thanks for posting. xo

Brenda V: That was a great tutorial. I have a similar cut, so I'm going to try it. Always hard for me to get the volume in the crown so thanks for the tips. You hair looks gorgeous!!!!

Laura Rae Beauty: Your hair looks great Anne. The teasing demo was so helpful. I need to start using the dryer when I tease. It really makes your hair look thick and gorgeous. Hope you have a fun weekend! Love you...Laura

Glynda Millner Phillips: Anne that was an Awesome video! You are so good with all your techniques you do with your hair. Im always amazed with every hair video you do and how experienced you are with your hair. I am still using your bang method to trim my bangs every few weeks. My mom still wears somewhat of a Bouffant but I never figured out how to get a bump or get a tease to hold....Thank you so much for making this video!!!! Now maybe I can finally have a bit of a bump on my crown. Have a great weekend xoxo

Teresa Keough: Your hair is beautiful and you do a great job styling it. Thanks for sharing your tips.

Kathi H: Great tutorial Anne! My hair is about an inch longer, I'm afraid to go shorter because it's so thick, I'm not sure it would lay nicely but going to do it anyway. You are definitely more talented at styling hair than I am so fingers crossed......

September Beauty: Hi, Anne! I have tried to grow out my bangs numerous times, but I don't have the patience and end up cutting them again! "Founding Father!" LOL Thank you for sharing this...your hair always looks beautiful. Take care, and I hope you're having a great day! -Mandy

Jerry & Rishana: I saw some older videos of you with longer hair & you looked absolutely beautiful, but I have so say that this bob length on you is my fav! You have a great neckline & this cut really shows it off. I like the sideswept bangs too. I like how it looks once you've put volume in it,but I honestly liked it a lot before you did that step too! I have very long hair with long layers and always cut my own hair too. I have been cutting it myself for over 10yrs. Great video!

Ranalynn’s Lifestyle in Hawaii: You did an excellent job on this video. Well done . Hugs and Have a great and productive week.

JesusIsMyKing Hallelujah: Hi Anne! I've never used a straight iron before because I always styled my hair with the blow dryer. I just happened to ask my sister for her iron so I could try it out. I'm not through with your video yet but so far, WOW, some great tips, especially volume on top. When you use the blow dryer after the hair spray, is it a COOL shot or is it on HOT? Also, why use the dry shampoo before using the iron? I plan on using the iron today so would love to try these tricks!! You are so wonderful and always have the best tips! Thank you so much!!

Noogagirl: Great video, Ann! Im going to try some of your techniques! You have beautiful hair :) xoxo, Johnna

J Mitch: Hi Anne. I am also a "volume" girl but struggle to get and keep enough volume in my superfine hair. Will definitely try some of your tricks. You have beautiful hair and I especially think your natural white highlight is GORGEOUS with your blonde.

J DG: Thanks for a great tutorial! I have curly hair that is cut in a bob. I straighten it with a flat iron after I blow it out. If it's humid I get those flips naturally as the day goes by and they make me crazy because the roots go flat and it ends up looking like a "founding father" style LOL! I'm going to try some of your tips to get more volume at the roots so I can embrace my natural flips Lol I really love your tip about spraying your hands with hair spray and then wiggling your fingers through your roots. I think that is brilliant! Love your channel and you always look gorgeous. ❤️

MQS 1: Love this vibrant take on classic bob haircut! Great job especially since you cut and color it as well. Very impressive!

Maggie Wood: Oh my gosh Anne, you're adorable! The end result is always gorgeous. Do you shampoo and style every day? I have about as many steps in my hair routine, but try to go every 2 - 3 days. I love doing my hair, and I just find my look isn't complete until my hair is "done", you know? x

Patty Cooper: Great tips, thank you. So cute

paulinejustliving: Loved your tutorial..always wanted to add volume to the sides of my hair..going to try this, I usually only spray texture spray..but now I will try this way.Thank you. for sharing

Malinda Kopec: I love your hair, thanks so much for sharing all of your tips!! My hair is on the oily side do you have to do this every day or does it last a couple of days for you? Thank you!!

Gloria Lagroon: Anne this was an awesome hair tutorial! Thank you, found very helpful and great tips! It's very pretty, I'm going to try it. Where is your top from, love it. Have a wonderful weekend!

karmich k: Really nice hairstyle, Anne! Can't believe you cut your own hair! Looks fantastic! That would be a great video. I'm thinking of getting a new and better flat iron and was wondering if it's worth getting one like yours? ♡♡♡

Kristen Kay: Great demo Anne! I like how you add quite a bit of volume! Looks good :)

OH CAROL SHOW: Very cute Anne-Marie!! You did an awesome job honey!! Looking beautiful too!! Love you!! xoxoxoxox Carol

Godsgirl001: Genius! I never would have thought of implementing this in this order! Maybe everyone knows this trick but me!!! Thanks Anne!

teddy mom: I just found you on youtube and I'm obsessed with your hair style. So lovely! I've watched your "How I cut my hair at home" video and it looks as though you have more layering now with the shorter length. Can you please make another video, focusing especially on the layering?

Allie K: Thank you for the volume tips!!! Can't wait to try!

Lynda Bustillos: Great video, your hair came out beautifully, it just accentuated your beauty:)

I'm growing it out. I use Living Proof amp and it gives me incredible volume. Your hair is really pretty. I'll try some of these suggestions for the top. Also. What do you use to control humidity?

Melrose: How many inches would you say the crown section is? It looks much shorter than the side layers? My crown is 9.5" maybe too long huh? I can't get my crown to ever stay "poofy"! I'm afraid to cut it too short and have a disconnect in the back... would love to see a demo of how you cut the layers, especially the crown. I have cut mine in the same style for years. Yours always looks so cute and feminine! Volume at crown really changes the look of a shoulder bob! Thank you for sharing your tips Anne

Katharine Lockhart: Oh, please don't grow out your bangs completely! Maybe have them longer and side swept. Your hair is so cute like this.

Happy Homemaker: Love your hair

sari taylor: fabulous

Jenifer Jenkins: Am I your first comment?!! Lol! Just started watching, but I've gotta see the rest of your shirt!

jeffrey slater: Đức Phúc tuyệt vời. Giọng hát ấm áp và hay quá
