Hey friends, how y'all doing in today's video, i'm gon na be showing you how i removed the preservatives film gunk junk and itchy stuff for my braided hair, so the hair that we're working with today is sensational's african collection, color braid. I have about 10 packs of this hair, believe it or not in this tub and i'm using about lukewarm water, and this is what the hair looks like fresh out of the pack in order to keep my hair from tangling during this process, i'm sure to leave The rubber band on the top and also keep the rubber band on the end. I'M now going to submerge this very last pack of hair into the tub of water, so we can get it prepared for its squeaky, clean cleansing. So the first product that i'm going to be using is apple, cider, vinegar with the mothers, and this is going to help to remove the alkaline line that manufacturers add to preserve hair, keep it heat, resistant and extended shelf life. It also helps to make it smoother easier to manage shinier and less frizzy to ensure that the acv is evenly coated throughout the hair, i'm just going to gently pat it through. You guys know i like to keep it sanitary over here and that's why i have on gloves the very next product that i'm adding to my mix is one of my all-time favorite shampoos, especially for extensions, and that is the main choices: heavenly halo herbal shampoo. That includes soy, milk, it helps to thoroughly cleanse without stripping is softened and it boosts hydration, so keeping it in the heavenly halo family i'm going to follow up with the corresponding conditioner. That also has soy milk. It also helps to boost hydration. It adds to the natural luster and shine of the hair, and it also improves manageability and don't feel like you have to do all of this. Personally, i can't just cleanse my extensions with acv. I don't feel like i get an honest, thorough cleanse without shampoo and conditioner or some kind of co-wash of some sort to me. It'S just like when naturals are like. Oh, i just shampoo, my scalp and let the suds run down to the ends like no. You didn't really wash your hair, then so do what works for you and i'ma do what works for me and the very last thing i'm going to add for a little razzle dazzle is trader joe's tea tree oil, which is going to help to remove any chemical Buildup, it's going to also help to retain, moisture and extend the longevity of your desired style, and now i'm going to go in and give the hair a gentle, massage, making sure all of the products are evenly distributed. So now we're going to leave our hair submerged in our concoction for about 20 to 30 minutes. But i just want to show you guys briefly how the film and all the icky stuff is starting to rise to the top similar to how we use a plastic cap. When we're deep conditioning our hair, i decided to add a plastic bag to the extensions. So before we rinse our hair, i just want to show you what the water looks like now in comparison to what it looked like when we first started, and that is the reason why you always always always need to cleanse your extensions, your braiding hair, any kind Of hair, that is not your own, so i didn't film the full rinsing process, because that would require me to set up my lights in the bedroom and just do a whole bunch of stuff. That'S too much so i did actually pour the water off in the kitchen sink, and this is what it looks like you can see. It'S pretty muddy and after i cleanse my hair and my bathtub, i did want to show you the debris and film and dirt that was left behind. All the white stuff is common because you know i was going to do a good cleanup after that, but i did want you just to see what you're actually getting off of your hair when you do this process. So basically, i just rinsed the hair wrung it out really well towel dried it and laid it flat on a smooth surface for it to air dry to prepare to braid for the next morning. So, as always, if you found this video helpful be sure to thumbs it up, if you have any comments, questions or concerns leave them down in the comment section below i'll, be in the back by the snacks, and if you dig me make sure you hit that Subscribe button, so you don't miss an upload and come back for my very next video because it'll be me using this hair. For this look as always, please stay safe. I hope you have a wonderful coming week and god willing. I will see you in my next video bye,

Tyrees Hudson: No wonder my my scalp gets so itchy and annoying! I didn’t realize that this hair is dirty!! I’m going to start doing this before getting my hair done! Thank you!

Fiona S: 1. Thank you so much for this video love. 2. I REALLY appreciate you answering all of the questions below ⬇️ because Lord knows I had like 7 questions! 3. Stay Blessed Queens ! ✊ ✨

Theresa C.D.: Braiding my special needs daughters hair for the first time this week, this video is clutch!!!

Kiara Marshall: Thank you so much!! When I was little, I broke out badly to braid hair. Getting faux goddess locs this week using Cuban Twist hair and didn't wanna be itchy lol. Any tips on what to apply to the scalp to keep it good and moisturized and itch free after the hair is installed?

Kerina: I never knew this. I rarely do any hairstyles with extension hair or wigs Bc I have found a routine for my natural hair that makes it flourish and look good. But it’s spring time and I’m running out of styles and frankly don’t want to do my hair for a few weeks so I decided to do box braids. Thank you for the info. My hair soaking rn!

POSH Shaw: THANK YOU FOR SHARING. Definitely helped me to self diagnose, heal, prep for client etc.I have severe eczema that has hindered me as a cosmetologist.

Onicia Muller: Damn, I didn't know if synthetic hair could be so dirty

Briana Dawkins: Does this also help to prevent color bleeding? Ive run into a fair share of braiding hair that bled color onto my clothes after a few days of wear. Looking to prevent that when I braid my hair this weekend! Thanks

Whitney C: I’m glad I looked this up. I knew I should have sis this as soon as my scalp irritated my soul!

PeaceOfMind: See now i see why my head ALWAYS itched after getting it braided even when i washed my hair! I’m definitely do this from now on

Iya Toyosi: Hi! Does the ACV smell still remain after you’ve washed it? Thanks.

Felisha lee: I'm currently having this reaction and my hair is already done...what do I do? Take out the locs? I have 7 day vacation on Wednesday I also have excema and sensitive skin so I'm freaking out

Kiz Green: I'll be in the back with the snacks. Soooo cute love it. Bout to do that now

Michelle Rodgers: excellent video...i use slightly warm waters, like a tablespoon of dr bronners soap and then vinegar...let it sit 30 min to an hour...and then rinse with cold water and lay it on a towel to dry. i notice the same removal of the film. The day that I get my hair done, I mist my hair with a light oil and/or leave in conditioner so fake hair isnt stripping my hair of moisture...

Nire McInnis: Idk if I missed it, but how long do you soak it?

Ruth Anyasi: This was really helpful

Brenda Brown: Girl Thank YOU!!!!

Faye Johnson: Can you still dip the ends in hot water after doing this?

Njeri Wangari: Hii‍♀️, Can I use Rosemary Oil instead of tea tree oil?

Leota18: Thanks for the tips.

AquarianQT: Will I still be able to burn the ends? I’m getting an old school braid bob.

lezbeth idowu: What else can be used asides ACV?

web nerd: After you soak the braiding hair in hot water with Apple cider vinegar, do you rinse the apple cider vinegar out with hot water too? Or you use cold water to rinse it out?

Mirah S.: So you mix all 3 ? Or is each step separate?

Alexis Curtis: Please answer as soon as possible!! Lol can I blow dry the hair after washing it so it drys faster?

Wanda Hall: Thank you because it itch so bad!!!!

I’mani Pope🤭: Quick question, if i wash my 613 braiding hair in the acv wash will the quality of it change?

Aisha Staley: Hello…. I saw your video on instagram then i came here because i will be braiding my own hair and the hair makes my scalp super itchy so I appreciate your video…first time washing this type of hair

Brittany Burgess: Can you do this with pre stretched hair

Kelli Chanel: Amazing video! Ty! I just bought some hair from Amazon and it smells like death

Bee: Hey, do I have to ACV or can I use shampoo?...Also can I blow the hair instead of air drying it?...

BRIELLESDESIRE: Will the hair still hot water set in the same way after it is washed??
