What'S up guys welcome back to my channel, as promised I'm back on here with a wrap-up video of my faux locs that I currently don't have in my head anymore? If you guys hear anything in the background, just please disregard it. My neighbour circus, brood they're, just rude and obnoxious and loud so today, I'm going to be talking about how I've cared for my faux locs, how I like them, what I didn't like all that type of stuff and at the end of this video I'm going to Be putting a how to remove build up from your protective styles tutorial? So if you don't care about how I like to my faux locs or didn't like them, I will put a skip time for you right here and you can just skip to the video and see how I remove my build up after taking my locs out. But if you do care about how I like them and if you're not rude - and you want to hear what I got to say since they tuned okay - so really I'm just going off the top of my head um. I had my locs in for about a month and a half, I really had like a love-hate relationship with them. Let'S start off with what I love, because it really wasn't that much okay! Well, I mean whatever um, let's start off with what I loved so clearly I love the look of it. I love the convenience. I didn't have to do my hair to tie to wake up, lay my edges down and go or throw it in a ponytail or whatever and go. Obviously that's what I wanted to protect a file for anyways um. I got a lot of compliments on my folks and seriously. Thank you guys. You can complement to me. Thank you. So much really. I just thought they were amateur. I had to myself. I didn't think they looked that good. Everybody thought I got them done by professionals and then, when I told him that I did it myself, everybody thought that I did hair and I don't do hair and then people were even trying to bribe me to do their hair. When I still don't know how to be where like no amount of money can miraculously make me know how to do other people's hair, just just say just throwing it out there and that's just not my passion anyways. So I'm sorry, but I don't want to do you. Thank you guys anyway, for those compliments, so yeah that made me feel good. I like that about my locs now also what I disliked. I'Ve had heavy hair in my life before and when I did these locks, they want that heavy to me, but after a while they just got in the way they were so long sleeping on them was just super annoying. The most comfortable way to sleep on them was to put them in a huge bun on top of my head, and even sometimes I wake up with a headache. That'S really what I didn't like about it. They were just in the way in too long next time. I do them I'll, probably just do them shorter and I most likely won't do goddess locks because you just have to do the curly hair underneath it and then the Marley hair. I probably just do regular, faux locs and what I will do is just twist. My actual hair and then wrap the Marley hair around my actual hair to make it one lighter and to it'll, won't. Take me three days to do. Oh and that's another thing what I use on my hair, I didn't wash my hair at all the entire month and a half I had them in all I used was my growth oil mix that I do have a tutorial on my channel of how I make It I will put a link in the description below for you guys, so that you can make your own. I had a lot of new growth. I don't know if it was because of my growth oil. I also do take um pills. I don't take hair growth pills because it's just a long story, maybe I'll make that into another video. But I just take biotin and prenatal pills. Know you don't have to be pregnant to take prenatal pills, so don't go there so yeah, my hair grew a lot. It was definitely from the oil because I was not consistent, taking the prenatal or the biotin at all, so it was really the oil that helped it like. I really was gon na make a video of how I take them down, but I just felt like really cares. All I really did was snip it to where my hair ends or to where I thought my hair would and whatever literally just pull down the Marley hair it unraveled right off and then under the braid it you don't need a tutorial for that. Honestly, you could figure it out yourself, I believe in you. That'S really all I got ta say about my locs like it really wasn't that much to it. I did enjoy them, but I'm really glad that they are finally out, and I cannot wait to show you guys my new protective style that I have in store so stay tuned for that it's gon na be the video right after this one. I don't want to give too much away. Follow me on snapchat. You probably saw already but um yeah stay tuned for that video. It'S coming real, soon, real, real, real, real, real, soon anyways, the further ado. Here'S how I safely removed build up from my locs okay. So, first off you're going to need a spray bottle, I'm using apple, cider, vinegar and water. If you don't have apple cider, vinegar, you can always use a conditioner and water. Also. This is a conditioner that I would recommend to use for this process. So here's my disgusting and dirty buildup and I'm going to take my spray bottle and spray right on top of it as much as I need to to make sure that the build-up gets soft and then I'm going to take my rat tail comb and start calming At it, and so the build-up starts to chip away like it is right there, it's really important to make sure that the build-up gets soft before you start combing at it, because if you don't, you can lose a lot of hair. So just make sure that it's soft and that when you start combing at it, you're very, very gentle. So after I'm done removing the build-up from one section, I just pin it away and move on to the next section and then I repeat the exact same process. So here is the build-up and I'm just going to take the spray bottle and spray, my apple, cider, vinegar and water right on top of it. Until I feel that it is soft enough for me to start combing at it and then when I do start combing at it, I come very, very gently. I know it doesn't look like it, but trust me. I am, and I just calm at it, and so there is no more build-up and that my hair is detangled. Then I take the two sections spray it with some more apple, cider, vinegar and then detangle it once more. Before twisting, I like to use apple cider vinegar because it burrows build-up directly from your scalp, it balances your scalps pH and it does also help detangle your hair. So that's basically it you guys, I'm doing the same process all over my head until I'm completely done. Detangling and removing the build-up, so there is my nasty buildup and spraying it with the apple, cider, vinegar and water until the buildup softens and then I'm going to go ahead and start gently combing at the build up. So if you have a problem softening the build up or combing at it, please do not rip through your hair. Just simply take your fingers and separate the buildup I know would be nasty, but it's definitely worth it. It saves your hair and then just spread it out and then keep combing through it until it all gets loose. And, of course you guys, I want you to know that shedding is completely normal. Your hair is supposed to shed at least a hundred strands of hair per day and, if you're, having a productive style in for one to three months. Just imagine how many strands are just stuck in your build up. So don't get discouraged when you're seeing a whole bunch of shedding coming out of your hair, but also be very, very gentle and make sure that you're not ripping the hair that is supposed to be staying out of your scalp. Let'S say you guys, I hope you enjoyed this video and I hope it was somewhat helpful to you. At least this is something that I used to struggle with when I was doing protective style before and I never knew how to safely remove build-up. So if you like to give me a thumbs up, comment and subscribe and I'll see you in the next one, I call you

BloodOrchid411: Witch Hazel and conditioner is another alternative. I also boil rosemary, thyme and/or oregano in water 3 or more times to use as a clarifying scalp and hair rinse. If you've relaxed hair still, clarify with a beer rinse mixed with shampoo.

Sandra Namuyomba: Thank you so much build up it has always been a nightmare & to my hair but thanks to you that nightmare is over I'm so happy that's how I've always been losing my after taking the braids out and combing through the hair it's so heartbreaking when the whole floor is covered with ur own hair but not anymore God bless u

Abby C: Your curls are so cute I've always wanted curls like that❤️ my moms hair is really similar but a lot thinner and ever since I was small I wanted to trade hair lol

Angel: Thank goodness losing a little hair to buildup doesn't affect my growth because the frustrating thing is my parents always wait too long to get my braids taken out, and all the hair that I grew over the past few months gets pulled right out because of the freaking buildup. Like, I hope you enjoy the tedious job of sitting there for hours picking out the buildup after my braids are taken out because I'm not losing ONE STRAND of hair. No way am I wearing a protective style after two years of being natural for no reason. I am keeping my hair.

Attisa Adiki: This helped me so much. I thought there was no hope for my hair. Thanks so much!!!

Aja Patrick: this is the most educational video on youtube. this is my ONLY method after braids. THANK YOU!

iLoveLeatherNYC: Thank you for posting this, the process you use was awesome + informative. Not a fan of smell of apple cider vinegar, but if it softens and saves hair? Lets do it!

I'm a new subbie and will look into ACV on dyed hair. That's all I need to know before I buy either this middle part wig and have it cut into a very short Bob, not pixie style or individually install Brandy loops crochet braids.

Cydney Simon: Love this! Your don't try it attitude is my favorite. Can't wait to see your next video, it looked so bomb and what's your snapchat?

Kaykay: Video starts at 5:10 Thought you'd know in advance! Great video though. Helped me a lot

Veronica Maria: well now I know what I should've done instead of ripping out my hair

D'azia Ellis: I love this whole video I really needed it.

Big Trill: I've been ripping my hair all this time; that's why when I take it out I have a full head of hair, but after a wash it back short.

Lejon Forrest: Thank you so much. I just been combing through.

JENEE’: Lordddd I thank you for this video I was havin sum real trouble with build up

Maryam Jean: You’re so pretty! Did you do a video for your skin regime? I love it!

Maggie Gitu: Thank you for sharing this. I'm glad I watched it before detangling, which I have postponed till tomorrow when I can get some ACV

sisboombah24: I prefer using my fingernails to remove the buildup, with the same method of wetting the hair, works faster for me.

eyesonaliyah: Love This Method

Whit F: That is a great tip! AVC water mix on the matted bits. Will try that next time when my hair gets that disgusting again after protective styling. Thanks for sharing.

Ruthlin: when i skipped to when you jumped in straight to the video, it imediently helped me I have learnt to spray my hair with water where there is build up tyyyyy xx Your eyebrows too fleeky x

Micah B: Question: Do you have to use water and apple cider vinegar? Can I just use water and a little amount of the conditioner that I use?

tame kitten: I barely combed any buildup out of my hair just now, and when I finished washing it my hair was still dirty af how do I get rid of it

Emily McGuckin: Man wish I would’ve seen this video before I did a whole half of my head. I accidentally left my hair matted and gross for like 7 months. I literally just ripped out like half my hair!!!! Lol

Kamren Lee: Thanks I helped me a lot

Tee Mone: I thought I'm the only one getting builds up on my hair. used to feel hella weird untwisting my hair. Now I know it's normal. Thank you ❤
