Top Knot Bun + Hair Jewelry Protective Style | Relaxed Hair

Hey guys welcome back to my channel in today's video I'll be sharing my favorite protective style at the current moment in case you're wondering I'm starting off with dry unwashed hair after I part my hair down the middle. I continue to make two straight parts on both sides about an inch in width on both sides. So right now, I'm just twisting my hair just to ensure that it's out of the way and then I'm gon na do the same thing on the other side. So now I'm going to spritz my hair with a little bit of water until it feels slightly damp for easier manipulation later on, because this section I'm going to be doing the top knot. So I just want to make sure my hair is moisturized thoroughly and then I'm going to secure it with my ponytail holder. So it's just out of the way. So now I part one section twice, so I have a total of three sections to work with. In total, so now I'm going to use the RRS olive oil edge control and apply to each square for added shine fold and to prolong the hair style. I really love this stuff because it's super moisturizing. It doesn't give me any build-up whatsoever. So now I'm gon na secure each section with a poly band, and these are not typical elastic bands. We don't snag on the hair, they're super soft to apply and then I'm going to continue the same steps on each section. I send all right so I've completed each section and I have a total of six squares, so I'm gon na take one row of hair and slightly roll it so that all the hairs become one. If that makes sense, and then I take a hair jewelry and cover up each poly band just to spice it up a little bit, make it look cute and continue the same thing on both sides, all right. So now it's time to moisturize and it's super important to moisturize and seal when protective styling, so I'm gon na be spraying s-curl pretty much all throughout my hair in sections trencher, my hair stays moisturized throughout the day. So if you guys have watched my videos and read my blog, you know that I'm a huge fan of the old s-curl ingredients, but right now I'm using the new one with the argan oil and olive oil, and I can't really complain so far so good. Okay. So now I'm gon na feel my hair with jojoba oil. I we use my aqua kotl bottle and just poured a whole boil into it. I love this stuff, it's so moisturizing and it really softens up my hair. I really can't picture it not being in my regimen, so I'm just gon na comb that, through a little bit into my ends using my wide tooth comb and ensure that all the moisturizer and the oil has penetrated. I don't know about you guys, but I literally have to stand up and bend over to ensure all my hair is smooth just to catch my hair into a top knot. It'S like the only way. I know how to do it so yeah, don't mind me. Standing up and putting my hair into a ponytail, oh yeah, and I only wrap my hair around the ponytail holder twice. So it's not too tight. Okay! So now that my hair is in a high pony, I split it in two and do a two strand twist on both sides. I find that when I twist my hair, it really helps to bring Beauty and detail to the top, not also twisting the hair really helps to lock in moisture so that my hair isn't dry while it's being protected. So now that all my hair is in place, I take one twist and wrap it around the ponytail gently and secure it with a bobby pin, and then I take the other twist and wrap it. The opposite way around the twist and secure it again with another bobby pin. So in total I use about two bobby pins to secure the top knot and that's it again. I'M gon na use the RS edge control just to ensure I have no flyways around my hairline just to smooth everything back and make it lay flat and I'm using my Eddy brush just to smooth everything into place. As the last step, I'm going to use the Miele organic spawn me to oil treatment just for some added smoothness and shine, especially to the back of my hair, where chance to get dry the most and that's it guys. I love this style, it's so simple!
