Hey guys today, I'm going to show you how to do three holiday hairstyles with twist braids. The first one is this Waterfall twist. The second is a half up, half down hairstyle and finally, I have an updo for those who like to wear their hair up. So if you want to learn how to do these, hairstyles then keep on watching today I started off with damp hair, so first I'm going to just put some volumizing lotion onto my roots. Just to give my hair some volume, then I'm going to spray my hair with an empty static spray, which is also a detangler to distribute the product evenly. I like to brush my hair with a paddle brush, but if your hair isn't strong, I highly recommend using a wide tooth comb. Instead, now I'm ready to blow-dry my hair and I've been using this one for over a year. This is the Infinity pro by conair. 3Q styling tool: the 3q stands for quick, quiet and quality, so this reduces drying time by up to 70 %. It also creates less noise than other hair dryers and because it has a brushless motor, it also lasts ten times longer. But the reason why I like it is because it's super lightweight and it dries my hair really fast. So, if you're looking for a hairdryer, I highly recommend this one, the first hairstyle that I'm going to show you is a new way to do the Waterfall twist. So first you want to grab a section of hair in the front of your face and divide it into two equal sections to save some time. I'M going to use my Conner quick twist and I've used this in a previous video. So I will link that below. This is basically a double stranded, braider that creates twist braids in a matter of seconds. To use this, all you have to do is lock the strands in place in the styler and pull it away from your head next slide. The switch up to rotate the twist when both strands are completely twisted. You want to rotate to device by hand in the direction of the arrow on the styling, release the strands and tie them together with an elastic band. If you twisted the strands in the right direction, they should stay together like this. Creating the Waterfall twist is very easy. All you have to do is pick up some hair right next to the twist braid then insert your index finger and your thumb through the twist braid and pull that strand of hair. Through again, you want to pick up some hair right next to the previous one. Stick your index finger and your thumb through the braid and pull that strand of hair through now continue to do this until you reach the other side of your head. If you have short hair and your twist braid doesn't reach the other side of your head. What you can do is create to twist braids on both sides of your head and tie them together at the edge. As you can see, this looks very similar to a waterfall twist, but because I fed the hair through the rope braid, the twist part looks much more defined when you're done feeding your hair through the braid. You want to tuck the ends behind and secure it in place with a bobby pin, but in this case I just secured it in place with a flower clip when you're done. You should have something that looks like this and if you want to glam it up a bit, all you have to do is curl the ends. The second hairstyle is a half-up half-down, French braid. So first you want to start off just like the first one. By twisting two strands of hair and in the front of your face, you also want to create another twist braid on the opposite side. Combine the two two aspirates together at the back of your head and tie them together with an elastic band, preferably one. That'S the same color as your hair, remove the previous elastic bands and unravel the braid next pick up a section of hair on both sides of your head right below the twist braid then pick up a section of hair from the ponytail, and with these three strands You want to create a French braid to create a French braid. You basically braid your hair, as you normally would, but with each stitch you want to incorporate a section of hair into the braid. So here I'm going to do about eight stitches and then I'm going to tie it off with an elastic band to conceal the elastic band. You can wrap your hair around it or you can conceal it with the hair accessory. Here'S the finished lug, this half up French braid with a twist can be dressed up or down for any event. And finally, I have a really easy wraparound updo for those who like to wear their hair up, so you want to start off just like the previous one, by tying the two braids together at the back with an elastic band. This time you don't have to unravel them; instead, you want to combine them together with the rest of your hair. Then use your index finger and your thumb and insert it through the rope braid and pull that big chunk of ponytail through and repeat. On the opposite side, so I'll stick your index finger and your thumb through the rope, braid and pull the ponytail through. So basically, what you're doing here is you're wrapping that ponytail around the rope braid with the end of your ponytail. You want to tuck it back in the bun and secure it in place with two bobby pins. I have dark hair, so it's a little bit hard to see. But if you look closely, you can see that the updo has details of the rope twist, which makes it look really intricate.
