How to prepare braiding hair with a hair assistant/ Rack for Braids/ Time saver for braiding
Hello creative people. In today's video I will be showing you guys how I use my hair assistant or rack to organize and assemble hair for braiding.This process saves you a lot of time when braiding. Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel. I hope you are doing well. If you are new here, you are welcome to the family. Today i am showing you guys how to use the hair assistant or freestanding wrap to prepare, organize and assemble hair for braiding. For this video i'm using the color 613 because i have a week to make for a client with this hair, i'm brushing out the hair to make it smooth, and i have one of the rods already facing me. All i need to do is section the hair to the desired size and place it on the rod. As you place, the hair on the rod make sure there is space between each hair so that you are able to grab the hair easily during braiding without making a mess. As you can see, this rod is already full. All i'm going to do is move that rod to the right and then i'll pull the next one in front of me and i'll repeat the same process all over. I do have a video on how i set up this hair assistant or freestanding rack. So we are almost done with the hair, and the good thing about this process is that it saves you a lot of time doing an appointment with the client, especially styles like fitting cornrows, knotless box, braids, butterfly locks and just any other style. Now we are all done, our hair is all organized. It looks like you're going up the stairs. I just love the way it looks and let's see how it works during an appointment or whatever project you're working on. As i told you guys at the beginning of the video i am making a week for a client, so all i'm doing is grabbing my hair and bleeding it into the cap in another video. I'M going to show you guys how you can use this tool to organize some light with personal items, so, if you're not into hair, this tool can still be useful to you. So i wanted to show you guys here that if you choose to sit down, you are still able to grab your hair at the bottom as well as the top. So this tool has a good height to give you the options of standing up or sitting down during braiding. So this is what i had to share with you guys today. WiseLady7: Sis, you can extend all 12 racks by removing the end pieces. Then place a wooden dowel (stick) measuring 1/2" x 36" in each rack end opening. However, I cut all 12 wooden dowels in half, which measure 1/2" x 18." You don't have to cut the dowels if you don't want to. Then I inserted them into the rack end openings. I purchased the dowels from Walmart for 50 cents a piece. This will extend and create even more room on each rack to organize your braiding hair. Hope this helps. This is an additional game changer, and will save you some coins!
