Thank you all for watching!!!

Okay, you guys this is not going to be a long video at all. I just wanted to show you all an easier and quicker way of prepping hair, because and and then i wanted to keep this in real time just to show you how time consuming this process can be and as raiders you know this is these - are the kind Of things that we do it's nothing wrong with it, it it's actually very innovative and it is helpful to go ahead and have your hair already um. You know separated into pieces, and you know you don't have to keep stopping pulling hair blah blah blah. But you know there is a quicker and easier way to do this, and you know the goal is always to work, smarter and not harder. So, as i said before, um i'm not going to speed this up. I'M going to keep this part in real time, because i really want you to see for the people who don't know um. I want you all to see how long this actually takes. I don't think that people really fully um appreciate the craft of being a braider. We really um, you know, put a lot of time, a lot of effort into everything that we do and it really takes a lot of skill and a lot of patience to be a braider. Now, i'm not just trying to um. I never try to box myself in and just say that i just do only braids, because i can do more than braids, but at this point in my life, braids has always been my specialty. So this is the thing that i'm focusing on right now. So this is what i'm going to talk about right now. I truly truly feel like braiders are the least um respected in the hair community um, i feel like we work longer. We work harder and for some reason people want to pay us less like it doesn't make sense to me, like our money comes slower, and so our prices have to make up for certain certain styles. Our prices have to make up for a full day, because most styles literally take a full full day of work to do and we're literally working our hands our fingers. Our backs we're standing on our feet. It'S like the whole in in um. You know i just feel like braiders are just so underappreciated, and i mean i just want. I just wish that things would be different. Okay, so rant over um. This is a quicker easier way that i like to do it um. The first thing that you want to do is you want to comb out um the bundle of hair that you're going to be using to braid. You want to make sure that it's tangle free, that's a very important step. I don't put any product on the hair. I just comb it out really good with the wide tooth comb and this this color is so pretty to me um and that's the first thing that you want to do. Detangle the hair. The next step that you're going to do is going to be similar to the other um way that we separate the hair. But the way that i do it now is, i take bigger pieces, bigger chunks of hair and i separate them - and i put them on the rack like so, and by doing it this way like okay, the first way that i did it when i was taking The smaller pieces that wasn't even a fourth of a bundle, a bundle of hair, so i will literally have to keep going back and restocking restocking restocking and for me, that is so time consuming and some people what they do is like. You will see in some videos you will see people having their client holding the hair and like handing them pieces of hair. That'S something that i would never do um. I don't. I mean i'm not going to go all into that, but that's just not something that i would like to do so um. This is a method that i like to use and by me doing it this way i can put on. If i use every single spool i can, i can put on maybe three packs of three um bundles of hair. At one time i can put on three bundles of hair at one time. By doing it this way and in a minute you're gon na see how this is um effective and how this works. For me, i'm going to show you in a minute how this works for me, okay, so right here is where i'm showing you the method that i use. I use the little wooden pegs to separate the hair and when you do it this way you will be able to take bigger pieces. You can take little tiny pieces. You can take a few strands of hair. You can take how much hair you need to take, and you know it's completely in your control, and this is the quicker and easier way for me, because i don't have to sit here and separate all those tiny little pieces of hair and look at that. It turns out perfect, so thank you guys for watching. This was just a little short tutorial to show you a quicker and easier way to get the job done.

princezzm92: U are so right with EVERYTHING u said!! Us braiders need to speak up more about this cause I feel the same way...braiding is not easy!! Thank you for this

John Coats: I am always impressed by the styles that people who braid hair professionally are able to create. I have learned how to do some braided hairstyles, but I am by no means a professional. I primarily learned how to braid hair to help my wife. She has very thick, curly hair, and she has told me that when I braid it, it helps her with the weight of her hair. One time, I gave her corn rows...it took 3 days to finish the process (no feed-ins or extensions), in part due to her caring for our then infant son, and just how tiring the process was on my hands. I appreciate you and these types of videos that allow people like myself to learn. Thanks again.
