Knotless Box Braids Tutorial For Beginners | | Feat. Btl Braiding Rack

I go by carol diva before i get started with what this video is about today, i do want to apologize for the delay with the giveaway result from the last bto video. I absolutely thought that i mentioned that the result will be in the next btl video, but i can't remember so i'm not gon na say i did say that anyway, i do have my winner selected and i'm so excited. I wanted to do three giveaway because i was feeling so generous, but i only have two winners. So i want to show you a new tool, a new item from btl that i will be using today, and i promise you this is gon na make my video go by so fast braiding. My hair is to be so much faster using this are so much easier. Less of an you know what i'm saying. So it is the btl braiders rock. This is it right here it is from btl, i'm gon na. Take it out the package real quick, but before i do that, i do have another one, a pink one, and this one i won't be keeping i'm gon na, be giving it away. Okay, so stay tuned to see how you could win this one. So i know you guys really like pink, because in the last video where i was doing the giveaway, i asked what color you guys want from three different colors everybody said pink, so i decided to keep the purple one for myself. I'M gon na give away the pink one and um. This is how you open it. Another thing i really like about it: it has these little. You know things on the foot of it where you could. Actually, if you sit it like on a glass table, it will stay. I don't know if it will stay on my table, i'm using here. Oh yeah, my table is actually bored and it's and it sits on there. So that's good. It won't be falling over like i've seen it done with the other one i had before, which was a bored one, so i actually appreciate them sending this to me the one i had before my dog bits on the you know the rack it was. It was no good, no more so. This is gon na come in very handy before i start braiding my hair, i'm gon na go ahead and blow it out and section it off. The united states, morocco somebody i'm gon na, pin this section away and i'm gon na work on the back. First there we go. I'M not gon na forget this. I'M gon na be using my btl band. This is gon na make everything so much easier and i'm gon na be using my btl jam right here. Slash, braiding, gel, of course, so i usually just take some out and put it on there just like that. This will make it so much easier when i'm doing the back. I could you know just grab it from here. Put it in my hair instead of keep turning around to get more down from this, and because this is so big, you know, i'm gon na have to keep it closed, so you could stay in there, nice and moist. If i leave it open for too long, it'll get hard and by the time the jar is finished, it's too hard to use the rest of it, and i have to throw it out happens to me before so i know the hair that i'm gon na be Using today is from easy, braid, professional and i've used this here so many times before i have four packs and um the length is 36 inches and the color is what's the color again t1b27. I believe i use this color in my hair before i really like it, and it was the same length i really like it. So why not and it's the holiday, so you know i want to get some box spray for the holiday that'll look good. You know what i'm saying anyway, let's get right into braiding my hair. Now i'm gon na go ahead and take out the pieces of hair that i need to use and hang them on my braiding rack. So this is the hair straight out of the pack and i'm gon na go ahead and take out pieces. I like to take out just enough for one one section: you know like that and then i'll split this in about three or four. So that's one two three, so this is gon na be split in three pieces. I could probably do four, but we're gon na. Do three i'm gon na show you guys how i do it on here. So if you want to go ahead and do it like that, you could do it like that, make it easier for you or you could find your own way of doing it in a way whatever works. So this is a quick view to show you guys what it looks like hanging on the rack on the left side. Are the pieces that i'm about to add to my hair? Those are you know smaller than what's on the right side on the right side are just the amount that will go into one braid, so i split it in three pieces. So the first three will go in one braid, then the second three will go in um. Another braid and i added jam onto them the pieces on the left side. So that's the reason why they look so tiny and so sleek. Now i'm gon na go ahead and part the back of my hair and to get my straight line going across. I'M gon na just make one sweep with the comb instead of parting and stopping and parting, and stopping this is definitely gon na make sure the parting is nice and straight - and this is how i get that straight parting - all the time now, i'm going to go Ahead and take out my first section for the braid now to do my first braid, instead of starting off with my pointing finger on my right hand like, i usually do i'm going to start off with my pointing finger on my left hand. So this way, as soon as i start, my right hand will be freed up, so i could grab the first piece of braid. This is gon na ensure that, even though i'm doing knotless braids, the braids are gon na start closer to the root, and it will make the hairstyle last a little bit longer. I am gon na show you again when i get up to the front exactly what i'm doing so, you could understand it, i'm a little bit better, so each time my right hand get free. I grab another piece of the braid and i keep doing this until i get all three pieces in because i'm only using three pieces, i'm not gon na do more than three, and now i'm adding in the last piece of braid. For this one and after i add it in i'm gon na, pluck my hair down about three inches from the root, maybe two inches and after i do that. That'S when i'm gon na move my arm around and grab the hair from, on the other side, with both my hands and start braiding it down further the further i braid it away from the root before i twist it around. To finish, burning it down is the better it's gon na look when you look at the hair itself. You know because if you twist it around like i'm doing right now too early, it's gon na have a little kink in it, and you don't want that to me now. This is what it looks like after i was finished, braiding it to where i'm gon na stop, because i'm gon na finish the ends once i'm done putting in one of my braids now, i'm gon na go ahead and move on to the second one, and for This section, i'm gon na, be doing four braids in total. Again i'm gon na start. My braid off with my pointed finger on my left hand, so immediately my right hand will get free up and as soon as it's freed up, i'm gon na grab a piece of braid in here and add it in and again each time my right hand is Free i'm gon na grab another piece of braid in here and add it into my hair and for each braid section. I'M gon na be using three pieces of hair. I'M gon na go ahead and do a third one, but this time i'm gon na speed it up a little bit, because i'm doing the same exact thing that i did in the first two crazy now on to the fourth and final one for the back and For this one i won't be saying too much, because i mean i've done three of them already and i you know, explain in the first two exactly what i'm doing so, i'm gon na just assume that you guys know exactly what i'm doing by this. The united states, morocco germany's now, i'm all the way up in the back and what i'm gon na do is i'm gon na continue the video in fast motion until i get to the front whatever i want, whatever i want whatever i want i'm working off. This is the final one in the back and i'm so excited, because whenever i get to the last one in the back, i know it's just like a home run from there as soon as i touch the front, because now i could actually really see what i'm Doing so yeah whenever i get to this last one, i'm always super excited usually before i part my hair, especially on the sides i like to add some jam, and this will help to give me a nice and cleaner look on the sides. Another thing i do for people who are watching my braiding videos for the first time when i'm parting, the side of my hair because of the shape of my head, i like to part it in a slanted way. Kind of you know like going down. If you can see exactly in the video what i'm you know trying to say um, because when i get up to the middle of my hair, my parting will line up really straight. The rolls will be straight instead of crooked, so whenever i part my hair like this, it works that way. For me, oh everybody, now that i'm up to the top of my head, you can see how nicely the rose are. They are all aligned, so straight they're, not crooked, and this is what i was trying to gain when i was parting, the side of my hair slanted. I don't know where i learned that uh i learned it from somewhere, i believe, but for some reason i tried it and it worked out perfectly um. I wanted to show you guys something a little bit different since i've been doing this knotless spring. So when i used to do it or the way, i did it the first time i went like this okay, so i separate the hair in three pieces as you can see, but i used to start off with my right pointing finger going under the braid and Then continue braiding until my right hand gets free and then i add the hair, but now i am doing it a little bit different. I still separate the hair in three, but i start off with my left pinky i mean my left pointed finger and i go under and right away my hand is free, so i grab the hair and add it on like that and then boom boom hand is Free again, i grab another piece: add it on boom boom. My hand is free again and i grab the third piece. I do it like that this way it goes under here so much easier like that, and i grab it with my pointing finger. Then i start braiding it like that. The reason why i do it like this, the second way that i show you is because i get the hair closer to the root. When i start it like that, when i started the way, i show you first, it's a little bit further from the root, and i don't like that because when i do it like this, the hairstyle will stay a little bit longer. If you know what i mean, so that's what i wanted to show you guys. I needed this, hey guys. I am back and i have finished the ends there we go. I will show you guys the the entire look on me when i'm done with what i'm about to do right now. So what i'm gon na do is i'm gon na go ahead and add some of my scalp finishing oil, and this is from btl? I use it a few times in my videos. I'M gon na go ahead and add some to my scalp, because when i get braids i want to know that my scalp is being taken care of, while you know i'm wearing them. So i'm just gon na go ahead and add it onto my scalp like this. Now i'm gon na go ahead and add some mousse, and this is gon na make my hair just lay down like just gon na make it all nice and smooth get rid of all the flyaways and all of that stuff. It'S one of my favorite product to use when i do my hair. This is like the icing on the cake. I could feel it running down the back of my neck. Oh my gosh, i'm putting so much time. It'S cold! Put it behind me just like that, and now i'm gon na tie it down, and this is just gon na do it. You know what i'm saying like you went to the professionals to get you here done, hey guys, welcome back. I am all done with my hair and my makeup, and this is time for the big reveal as i like to call it. I guess okay, so this is what it looks like. I will be standing up in a few just to show you guys the backup just to show you guys the length of it. So yeah check me out check me out. I am really loving it. Okay, i'm gon na stand up now and show you guys so here we go all the way down past past the bottom of my skirt. So it's pretty long. It is pretty long and um here for it all. Oh my gosh, so anyway, question for the giveaway is how many braids are in my hair. The winner will be getting one of these. This is how many here i have left of three packs. I only use three packs in my here. Just so you guys know so yeah the winner will be getting one of these. I don't know yet how many raids i have, but i'm definitely gon na count it. I have to say, when you're doing your hair, if you're doing feeding braids if you're doing knotless braids or if you're just doing regular braids, it's really good to have it to hang them on. And someone had asked me. How do i choose the size for my hair, so every single one of them have the same size. This is how you do it. You put them on the rack, if you take them out little by little by little and put them on the rack. You'Ll end up having the same size, because you could see them right there before putting them in your hair, so it comes in very handy.
