Welcome back everybody to the Bros of Decay, I'm Lesley as usual behind the camera. Mr. Danny., Hello, hello, everyone! It'S going to be a little bit of a different episode this time, because we're exploring at night.. That has two reasons. First and foremost, it was excruciating hot. Today, here in Portugal - and we couldn't film the place because we really would faint. Also, there are pigs in front of the palace that we want to film today, and we were very scared. That owners would come to feed the pigs and find out what we were inside of that place.. So that's the reason why we are now going to film this place at night.. It'S going to be very interesting, the pigs in the property. Yeah. So I don't know: what's going to happen., They are in general, very friendly, but I don't know what they're gon na do at night. Time. Bro. Are you ready for this Yeah, I'm ready.? We have to film this place during the night.. During the day we had to film it., We have to film this., So yeah, I'm ready., It's a sort of Noble Palace.. We still have to figure out the story, but I think it's going to be a fascinating exploration. Here we get our first glimpse of this magnificent place at night. What a beauty! It'S the back side of it., See: yeah we're gon na go up the stairs. Bro. I think the pigs are sleeping. Wow, what a magnificent place If I'm right this door is just open. Deep in the heart of Portugal, lays a historical palace that once belonged to the Cabral family, a once prominent and powerful, noble family., This grand home built in the Early 1800s was a symbol of their immense wealth and influence earned through their involvement in government and inherited old money.. As the late 19th century rolled around the Cabral's fortunes began to shift., They turned their focus toward the production and sale of wine, which was a common practice among noble families at the time. At its peak, the household was home to a large number of family members, But as the younger and more modern generation began to live independently the size of the household and the importance of the family dwindled., Now it stands abandoned for four decades. A haunting reminder of the dramatic rise and fall of the Cabral family. Join us as we explore the remains of this once-grand household and uncover the history of the Cabral family, their rise to power and their ultimate decline.. We will also discover how this grand family, which once lived in luxury, fell into obscurity and oblivion.''. These rooms are massive, I think, they're like five or six meters high, that's about 12 feet.. This is where the Cabral family used to make and produce their wines.. You can see all the barrels are still left behind.. This was their occupation. This is how they made their money in the later years that they used to live in this Palace. Number. Four number: three: do you actually know how big these barrels are Danny Because of course you're Portuguese and that's something you should know.? I actually don't know how many liters they can hold, but I would say this is a wild guess, but I would say around 200 200, I think so. I would say, like a thousand liters, a thousand yeah exactly.. I have no idea.. This seems a little bit. I don't know, but I think somebody knows. Please let us know in the description, because they all have different sizes. Number, six massive and even the bottles are still left. Behind. White wine. This was a white wine that they used to use no wing, weird green wine. Green wine yeah. What'S green wine, You don't know It's green, it's uh! It'S green wine, literally.! It'S more translucent.! Okay needs to drink, normally with fish, and normally it's sparkly.. Normally. You have to show me because I think I never drank any before no Okay, that's the next thing.. Look at this, the big gates that would open up and when the grapes were picked from the gardens, they would bring them in through these gates transport them into this basement, and it would all end up in this holding tank right where they would be pressed and Five feet by feet: exactly. Later on: would they do it with technology or would it always have been done by feet? I don't see anything up there, no brass, so yeah and you see this yeah. This was they used these buckets to bring the grapes inside.. So, every year workers would have one of these pockets and picked them from the field and then bring it and put it in here exactly yeah.. Let me try to show inside absolutely.. Oh, look at all these bottles back there, only a hundred bottles at least left there and those are one gallon bottles, five-liter bottles of wine very typical for Portugal.. They see them all over the country in abandoned places.. What'S this type of barrel, for It's a normal barrel, just cut in the middle. Okay and then we come further, and here we start coming because this stairway leads up to the palace.. This is already a room. That'S used.! I don't really know what it's used for, but not for wine production. I think. This little bottles left behind here. No, it's definitely is used for wine production as well.. This is a small bottle of wine.. I don't think so.. I always don't make small bottles of white.. This is nearly enough for half an hour yep. Another room up here. The rooms are getting more and more shallow. Going over there. We have a lot of bottles left behind and I can see there are even some bottles that still have liquid inside of them.. That'S probably a stone, a stronger liquor that we have inside of here. Down there. We have a white wine that is completely molded away over the 40 years that this place has been abandoned.. Oh, these are very cool. Looking balls. And death sold.. I love this one that we have down here. Quintup and everything it's beautiful.. What does it read up here? Cheese, oh cheese, from a warehouse in Oliver. - This message: oh wow., So they imported it from there to this place.. Okay, let's take you upstairs and let's show you the palace that we are working with today: the wonderful abandoned Palace.. Let'S take this stairway floor Penny.. I cannot believe that we are exploring an abandoned Palace in the dead of night.. It'S literally one or two o'clock at night right, now., Yeah and we were inside the Palace of the capital family in Portugal.. To use this place is falling apart. I hope they restore it, because it's such a wonderful place from the inside and outside.. The first thing I noticed when I came into this Palace is directly ahead towards Portugal. This bench, this divided chair, bench. Only there's literally the only country in the world where you see this type of furniture, and I absolutely adore it.. This is a simple version of what you normally see, but I still really enjoy this bench. Yeah, which is this thing.. I don't actually know the name, but it's a very typical from Portugal., Okay yeah. You can call it a little bit braided all three over here. The family came in through the door. We take off that coat and hang it up here or when they went out. Checked their hair before they go., And here we have the first room of the place.. Let'S see what this one has to behold. Come inside my good sir. Thank you thank you. Wow. This is immediately a bedroom inside of the house very fascinating., A double bedroom actually., Like I told you in the story before this used to be a grand family that lived here and the numbers dwindled over the years, though, but in the beginning, in the 18 hours And 1900s they must have been with 40 50 people., No, maybe a little bit exaggerating, but with a grand family living inside of this place. We're going to see many bedrooms and yeah. Every single bedroom is wonderful in here and still made after 40 years. Yeah great.. Look at the bedrest at the headrest of the bed., It's one of the most beautiful ones that I've ever seen.. It'S a complete art, piece. And every piece of furniture inside of this room accompanies the bed frames and is made in the same style and probably by the same artist as well.. Look at the crown molding on the ceiling they're, just wonderful.. If you look around, you can see that it's slowly crumbling on each and every side.. It looks like in a couple decades from now. This whole ceiling is just gon na collapse. Down in one piece., Yeah looks like it. Vanity over here. Oh look at this.. I'Ve got a picture of one of the family members, a young boy, posing., No name, nothing, mysterious, man., Yeah, it's also a mysterious Palace, so very mysterious and like who owns it right, now., With the fix still in the garden like you were just in the basement And we could hear the pics at night like going through the field., It's a bit scary, but they're quite friendly, so yeah we're not really scared of them. Wow. Look at these closets, let's see. Love how to open up to refill and absolutely melting.. Just one coat anger, but there are so pretty beautiful. They'Re incredible. Normally wait. Sorry, I'm gon na close it. A lot of cracking eyes. Oh yeah.! Normally, your typical closet has like a square shape, but this one has like it curves all around and he has paws, which is very, not usual., And then we got the identical piece on the other side for the other child. And another vanity to decide. As well.. Look at its beauty: it's elegance.! Oh! What do we have over here? Oh my God. That'S a picture. A photo taken in Moderna, a town in Portugal or maybe by a photographer, named, Patricia Moderna.. Look at this picture, probably early 1900s late 1800s.. It'S a masterpiece. 1903. It says on there. More than 120 years old. And even a bottle of various things, strange liquor or something else.. I don't even know., I'm not even gon na smell it., Like I usually do that looks disgusting.. Okay, let's go further. The next room Benny over here. To this side we have the bathrooms of those bedrooms. Come have a look inside see. Oh this door is completely stuck.. You have to gon na, be you have to gon na squeeze between it., Okay, okay, as I'm small. See, we have the toilet facility very simple, but I love the tile that we have on the wall: beautiful, tile., Foreign, yes, again, a very simple room: again: the Love the butter look at these bars underneath here.. These look like Eagle Pass.. Normally, you also always have lion balls down there. These are from legal. You can definitely see a very small bathtub. Very very high ceilings completely collapsed. Though.. That'S nothing really interesting in here and we can go further. This side., Oh, the doors, are all stuck to the ground. Yeah, like over the years they've been expanding and they're, not working properly anymore.. Okay. Here we come into the kitchen of the household., So, as you can imagine, this Noble family back in the day must have had many many mates and upstairs.. I think we have the section where they used to sleep, but here they used to work.. Look at the sink. Due to the heaviness of the sink. It has literally sunk into the ground as you can see. Marvel sinks because you want to be careful because there's a complete hole and it's very deep underneath the basement. So you definitely don't want to fall through that. Wow. It'S a lovely thing, though I absolutely adore it, and the cabinet piece above there as well is very uniquely designed.. Oh, look how they open up., Wow, very large., And then the chimney with the stove. Underneath a noble, stove. Beautiful, cast iron work on there, there's even a face carved into the head of the stove. Cheese. Wow very well preserved. I must say. Yeah there's no ashes or nothing in here., Wow, enormous. Whoa thing behind you.. I also saw a toilet over there.: Oh yeah, in the kitchen, there's a toilet and it's a French style, flushing toilet.. This is actually also a common toilet in Portugal, yeah the old ones. Yes, because yeah the gravity toilet, we got the yeah, the crabs. There's. Also, the doorbell. We've come to a very important room in the house, the dining space., What a feast this must have been when served out the food.. Oh looking at it right now, it's a very small dining table. Only six chairs around it.. I imagine back in the day it must have been a way bigger, dining area., But these tables have secrets Portuguese tables fold in and unfold in the middle., There's literally a seam here in the middle, so it probably can slide out and they can put another piece There in the middle., That's maybe also why there are chairs all around the room, like with extra seats. A table very interesting to figure. Out. Have a look at this chair over here. This is not magnificent. Crest of armor, most likely. The crest of the family that lived here is engraved in the upholstery of this chair. Beautiful lion at the top and then some sort of a flower design. Here at the bottom., They probably were handmade for the family themselves, a long long time ago. It doesn't. I can place it back properly anymore, then, a dining table and chairs all the same around there., Oh they're, wonderful! I must say.. They are one of the most beautiful that I've seen in Portugal, yeah for sure.. I can also say for certain: they are one of the most beautiful that I also have seen myself. Look at this picture over here exposition universe sold in 1900 in Paris, but I'm not exactly sure.. I think it is. Wow it's from 1900.. This picture - oh my god, look how people dressed back in the time and how everything looked. This is right. This is even before the first World War., It's a lot of, it probably doesn't exist. Anymore. The chandelier above the table connects to an amazing ceiling. That is quite common in Portugal, especially in noble houses like this one.. The wooden ceiling is a beautiful piece, and the attention to detail is evident in every piece of furniture in the room. They all match and work together to create a cohesive and stunning space.. I being quite small, am trying to show you the enormity of this cabinet.. Can you hand me the camera, As I am a bit taller than you, I can get a closer shot of the lion design.. This cabinet is incredibly tall, almost double my height.. It'S hard to imagine anyone grabbing something from the upper shelf as it seems to be purely for decoration.. After a big meal, one can relax on the chest over here.. You can see how it has deteriorated over the years.. There is also a small picture of food on the wall, as well as other pieces with the lion design in them.. This must have costed so much money to create.. I love the 3D effect. It'S beautiful.. We can see one two, three, four more chairs throughout the room, so that means a combination of 10 people could sit at this table and probably had some other shares and table if there were more people in the house.. The same design is over to this side. As well. Now, we've got a very small trolley over here.. You know what these are for: Daddy they're, like jugs or something.. I think it's for milk or wine, but I'm not sure.. It seems like something like that. Wow incredible., A very old can of. I don't know what it is and I actually don't want to know.. Okay, let's go to the next room inside this house.. Let'S go into the following room inside this house.. I don't know what this room used to be used for, but I can make a guess and say that it was probably a reception room or waiting room for guests that came over to visit the family.. They would be seated here.. Oh, there are a few bats flying around this room.. Okay, we have to be very careful. You're not going to attack us please., It's just going to hang out.. Oh, are we going to ignore him, or are we going to do something? Oh you're, going to have a new friend just hanging out in the camera.. Okay, I'm going to try to ignore him a little bit.. Let'S explore this room with us, please. Yeah. Can you sit on the drape over there? I love the drape that we have hanging over here.. I'M sorry guys. This is literally exploring.. Let me start talking about the ceiling, because I feel like it's the most opulent thing in this room.. It'S also completely carved and made out of wood.. You can see the faces on each. I haven't seen the faces. Yet.. Oh yeah. It'S a little bit hard to see right now, but they're beautiful., Maybe they're family members from back in the time that have been carved into that ceiling.. Oh, this is flying directly into the camera.. Have you seen this mirror over here in the room? It also has a face at the top over there.. Let me work on this little mirror it's so elegant and incredible.. Let me show you up close. It'S so finely detailed. Look at this piece. Everything is so finely carved even a little compartment over here.. I love it, and even the key is still present.. Let me see if I can lock it up. No, this is not the correct key.. I think there's a key for the moon, but it's not going to close anymore. It'S broken.. Ah, no, that's too small. Yeah! That'S what I wanted to talk. About. Like these angels worked into the chandelier. Isn'T it just magnificent? I really enjoy these drapes that we have hanging here in the room. They're beautiful red stripes. Same type of chair next to the grave here.. Their family crest is proudly displayed., They're, really proud of their heritage, and this family has probably been around for a long time. Like most noble Portuguese families., How old is Portugal actually? Is it the San Diego? Like a thousand years, almost Wow, Portugal was founded in the 1100s, so almost a thousand years.. It'S so interesting because my country is only 190 years old. It was founded in 1836., Belgium and Portugal is so old. In comparison. Yeah. We have a lot of history. Another friend in here. Yep. We got another friend., Oh, he went into the ceiling., Oh nice., A very plain and simple bedroom. We have over here. Wow, more modern. Yeah. This was where the last person slept in the house.. Most definitely. Yeah definitely still made bad as well., And here a couple of things throughout the room. You can see a little bit of medicine bottles over here as well.. At this look of these bottles, you can already see that this place has been abandoned for a long time.. These are old. Wow. What'S this kind of medicine, You have no idea, I don't have medicine., I don't understand., That's beer.! That'S a beer yeah.! Oh! That'S! The beer and Lenny that is still full. - Oh my God, that's made of the label of this and even a crust.. It'S still not the same crest, but it's still present in the logo. Today.! That'S beautiful! That'S amazing.! Oh! Do you know what this is for? That'S the heater for something.. No, I think that's for a candle., And this is how you pull it: out., Okay, that way. Whoa amazing. There's a lot of bats in the hallway, but they're flying everywhere., But this hallway is Lily moving spastically., I think they're behind me.. Look at this chest wow this is enormous.. What do you think is inside, I would say blanket tree blanket, but it's literally in two pieces. Pillows inside of here broken too.. Oh my! That'S! How you see it's real wood., Yeah, the nerves, slowly breaks, and then you have these big buttons in here.. No one must lock at the front.. Ah I see somebody tried to open it, but this lock is still in.. That'S why it broke. Very strong locks yeah.. What do we have for a room over here? Oh look at this whoa see we have two faces on each side of this doorway and those might have been the former owners of this place.. That'S something they used to do back in the times.. They would display their Heritage.. Oh did I just see a chapel there or where right in front of us here. Did you see it? I was talking about the face of it.. Oh my God, there's literally a chapel inside of this household.. Have you seen the altar? The offerings are crazy., I don't know where to look the ceiling, the altar. First off. You have the ceiling over here gold-plated channel here. Down below it's, not really your channel there's a light fixture, but a beautiful light. Fixture. Glass and copper work.. I love the gold crown molding on the ceiling as well: Danny. Yeah, it's beautiful., And then they have the red carpet leading up to the altar.. This is one of the most intriguingly designed altars I've ever seen.. I don't have words to describe all the way up to the top faces that are made in there. The curls and curves, and I think there used to be a statue here in the middle, not a statue with the cross of Jesus.. This is a chapel. So a big cross, of course, down below here we have a painting from area holding Jesus on his dead bed and the angel next to it.. This is the most beautiful altar I've ever seen in a house.. I have no words.. I could spend the whole day just showing the altar. There's so much detail, oh wow, what a room A lot of room.! Let me get back to those pictures that I was just talking about.. They would hang them up here in a room to show their respect to their forefathers and the founders, probably of this household., A lovely lady and a man to the left and right side of the room. Wow, see there's one more room over here as well. Wow. This one is also magnificent and it's a mirror of the other bedroom on the other side.. Looking at the ceiling wow., It's like the two protruding pieces in the household.. I haven't looked at the furniture yet but they're a little there's, there's a lot. There's three pianos inside of this room and a lot of paintings as well.. Look at that the first one is of a noble mirror: military man, probably one of the forefathers of the family - and this is the family crest as well. Coming back over here, it's the same one as we saw on the chair. Uh, not quite well, not quite The same no, no because I think this is a military crest. The chair one is uh us the family. I thought it was the same.. Excuse me no, no worries, but you see on the on him. He has a lot a lot of metals yeah. Those are war, medals or just wars for achieves achievements.. This lady over here, I must say very typical, Portuguese, oh she's, dressed and everything even how she looks a little and then another military man to this side, probably wearing his uniform, proudly displaying his medals. And this week it's painted on metal., You see that it is yeah. Can I oh yeah? Oh that's different. It'S very different, never seen it before.. Let me take one of these paintings out to be very careful. Oh you're, at the back. Oh it's a protector. Yeah.! That'S very interesting, beautiful paintings as well.. This one is made in Paris., Wonderful, piano, yeah. They used to play on and let it sound throughout the palace back in the day.. Oh watch out, sorry, there's so much furniture.. The music is left behind here, not a piano to this side.. This one's still perfectly placed.. It'S creepy at night. Yeah. Is that the first king of Portugal? No? No! No! No! No! No! That'S one of the last kings of Portugal.. It looks again very Portuguese yeah. Maybe because he's Portuguese yeah. Very. And then another piano standing here to this side of the room.. Oh, this is the one that is more tuned of the three. Wow, but also more broken. And the chandelier hanging here on top of it lying here. On top of that piano crystal chandelier., A half-broken guitar as well., That's very sad to see., Oh my. Or the other half of the chandeliers here also., Nothing is left of it anymore.! You can see here a picture frame.! Oh yeah, there's still a picture in it of a young girl.. Look at that.. It looks beautiful. One more chest. Ah here they put pillows in their chests.. Yes, blankets, missing., Yep, exactly.. Okay, then, I think it's time to venture to the upstairs of the house and check out most likely where the servants and the mates of the family used to sleep and left. Over here. That'S gon na lead us to the top floor of the house. ``, Lift it up, lift it up ,'', because it's very stuck., Oh my God., A very prominent stairway, reveals itself. That'S gon na take us to the top floor of this. Place. Have a look at this beauty. Actually for a stairway that most likely is going to lead the servant's quarters. It'S a beautiful piece., It's getting out of here. Yeah, it's the dead of night right now. To just quickly show you! Let me get my phone out of my pocket.. This is the time right now 2:19 in the morning and I'm still sweating. Yep, there's still 25 degrees outside.. I said to Danny last year, exploring in Portugal, I said to him: ``, I'm never ever going to explore again in the summertime.''. Unfortunately - and here I am again. - Oh no, but this is literally the last time. - I'm sorry bro., It's not going nowhere to go, but not in summer anymore.. As a Nordic man, I understand.. I understand this is not good from that's, not good for me., Let's go through this first door over here, a very small doorway, as you can see., I cannot even fit underneath it. Look how the door is carved into the beam over here.. The door is the perfect height for me, yeah for you, because you're Portuguese., Exactly storage area and attic space books left behind very old books. Chests like you, can see. Oh it's wonderful. And then here to this side, there are even these small doorways. As we feel more attic space, but nothing really interesting. Getting very stuck. Okay, let's go further. Let'S check out this ethics base or this pop floor of the house.. I think this used to be also a bedroom back in the time. There's, not much left in the air. A lot of room to decide. Yes, this is what I'm talking about. This is most likely used to be a servant's bedroom back in the time.. You can see the simplicity of the bat small room and again, a noble painting of a military man over there.. It'S wonderful., I'm sweating out here the headaches. The attic spaces are always., I'm not going to open every single door, I'm just gon na walk through it or friend this back flying through the hallway over here, as well as probably a lot of bats inside this house.. Oh, these doorways jeez again another servant's bedroom over here. There's a lot of decay. It'S way more present in the attic for slowly seeping down to the lower floors of the house. Yeah. It needs quick and prominent renovation to be preserved., Got some very small doorways in this room. Look at that., Oh the noise. Oh that's tinted! Glass! Look at that stained, glass, wow Danny.! This isn't off the chapel.! Absolutely love! It.! It'S like a little viewing area! You can look down on everybody., It's inside the chapel. Or if you were a small child, you would be sitting up here watching the priest at the front doing his prayers. Or maybe the servants would watch through here and the noble people would be down there. Yeah. I know I'm just making something up, because that seems like a good reasoning why there would be a small balcony up here for all the servants to sit together here and watch the prayers of the priest. Okay, I want to open one more room up here.. I think this last room here seems interesting to me.. This is another little storage space as you can see.. Oh, the closet is opening on the stone floor.. If I believed in ghosts I would say this was haunted.. Okay, let's go back downstairs.. We close all the doors we opened. Despite the noise, we close all the doors, even if there are mice inside.. This is not the end of the video, so we make sure everything is respectfully put back in its place as we found it.. Exploring this beautiful place at night was truly enjoyable.. Our friend is also here, and there are a lot of bats flying throughout the house.. This is their territory now, after 40 years of living here., I am happy that we were able to document this place and give it one last voice on the internet.. I want to thank you all very much for watching this week's video.. If you liked it, please, like the video, subscribe and leave a nice comment in the comment section., There is also a link in the description for Patreon, where you can support our channel.. Nita Tucker: Thank you so much Lesley and Danny for this breathtaking adventure.. I appreciate all your work and effort in taking me places i can only dream of seeing.. and thanks, Lesley, for the fantastic commentary! So much love to you from deep in the heart of Texas, USA!

Lori Kendrick: This house was pretty clean and could still be renovated. I hope someone will. You two are good together on this exploration. Interesting and fun. Thanks.

Lori Hayes: I love how appreciative the two of you are and also how curious and kind to each other. You do such a great job of making sure you show your viewers everything. Thanks from California. I would absolutely love to be doing what you guys do.

Willy Egger: Hello hello, dear Lesley, What a breathtakingly impressive palace in Portugal. - That sounds again so very interesting, and I am already excited to hear more about that prominent Cabral family, who owned that beautiful palace. Your Portugal explores together with your adorable friend Danny belong to the best Urban explores after my opinion. - So I am already looking very much forward to hear and see more about that amazing building, which you are going to fill with new life with your unique way of exploring this kind of locations. - Stay safe, bro, many hugs, peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.

Gilmara: Parabéns pelo vídeo , excelente explicação

Patra Wish: Thank you Lesley and Danny for sharing this unusual castle with all of us. The ceilings are so vast, the carvings on the furniture so unique, particularly the beds with the grape vines. The family seems very interesting. The wine press room was beautifully made, reminded me of a monastery with the huge casks/barrels, so very different.

Michele Matthews: Another GREAT JOB Lesley and Danny! Loved the details and architectural design of this place. The Chapel was amazing!

Sam Colt: You film such great homes. This one looks like it might come back if some rich person would take it on. Just wonderful. I feel there are a lot more rooms in this giant home. Lesley and Danny you do such nice work. Thank you for what you do. Stay safe and we will see you next week.

Lori Hayes: Caladryl is for poison oak or poison ivy. It’s anti itch stuff. Here in the U.S. it is also called Calamine Lotion. I grew up on a 4000 acre ranch about 30 miles North of Santa Barbara where lots of poison oak grew. I often had to use calamine lotion as a kid, because we hiked a lot.

alysun exploration🇺🇸: Cool explore as always it’s a shame all the antiques were all left behind.

Celia Regina Rogero: Hey Bros! Lesley and Danny !Wonderful documentary with many interesting informations! Amazing furniture! Congratulations!❤❤

charliefoxx81: Its just so unbelievable that this house is certainly filed with precious & expensive antique furniture and its just sitting there! and in great condition too...why wouldn't they sell it before moving on? why is the town allowing it all to go to waste? wow

φοῖνιξ N: Oh, my!!! Another wonderful old Portuguese building. I am speechless. Excellent work, Danny. You are a great company to Lesley, but the bat played a role today too. Kkkkkk.

Cindy Cushman: I can’t believe so many things left behind! So sad.

Denise De Castro Pereira: Uau! Lindo, lindo. Sou aqui do Brasil!

Bill B: Thank you Lesley and Danny for another beautiful video. The carvings on the furniture are incredible. The carver was a true artist. Your reactions to the heat helped warm me as well since it is so cold and snowy here. Thank you again for taking us along. I can't wait till the next adventure.

ShelleyB: WOW what a Spectacular Place, Thanks again for another amazing adventure BROS!! That Alter tho ❤❤❤ Absolutely Beautiful ❤❤❤ the Bats were like get outta my house looking forward to your next video! Much ❤ from North Carolina USA

from Clark: The open carved pillars on the altar are especially magnificent as is the rest of it! The carved capitals of the headboards and matching dressers, armoires are also fantastic!!., in the early drone video the roof looked like it was still in very good shape so I was surprised to see so much of the ceiling plaster had fallen, exposing the lath above! thanks for the peek into this palace.

Rae Wolfe: Still such beauty in that old home. I can't imagine what it must have looked like in it's prime. So sad so many of these old places are abandoned and forgotten.❤️

May Wood: Thank you so much, I'v thorougly enjoyed going on these tours with the both of you's! Like yourselves, I have always had a fascination for house and or chaple tours.Castles are so much more interesting though. Takes courage doing what you do especially physical risks to your lives, especially at nights! So yes, thank you! Stay safe!

456just123: What a magnificent home this must have been in it’s day. Even after all these years you can still easily imagine what it looked like.

Carey H: Hello! Lesley, Beautiful Palace.. so excited to watch this documentary. :) I pray that they restore this masterpiece to it formal glory. The woodwork, ceilings are a work of art. Love the music room with three pianos. I can imagine relaxing with beautiful music in the room. Those bats flying around eww!

Carol Weaver: Mut agree that the furniture is so exquisite and uniquely done! The dining rooms chairs were out of this world, and just seeing all of this needing to just be left behind to be ruined and destroyed with time, pains anyone who loves antiques. Could be a delight to the soul of a family deserving of receiving them s thy would have respect for them So sad the government does not make sure that furniture is taken for the good of others, before it is too late Thank you Lesley and Danny for this tour of the mansion of a Royal Cabral family. It certainly was aa lovely home and am sure all those who got to live her even if They were working in the home physically each day, were blessed by this opportunity, Not everyone would be lucky enough to have the rights to a house like this one!

Frank Hodges: It still astounds me that there are so many of these abandoned places. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Willdo1951 Aldone: Danny is right. That house has some of the best furniture Ive ever seen. Most be worth thousands if sold. Hope it all gets restored.Thank you Leslie for posting.

Nancy McGee: That bench is called a cane back settee. I'd say, $2,500-3,000 USD. It looks like it's excellent condition. Can you imagine if it was cleaned up!

Catilina: Would love to see/hear more of Danny! You guys are fantastic :)

Lori Hayes: Very funny that I also grew up with a neighboring rancher named Joey Cabral. He was a good friend of the family and an excellent horseman. People often brought their horses to Joey to train. These were cattle ranches so they were trained for that.

Randy: Great tour of this beautiful villa. Well done. I loved the bats, It made this tour even better. Blessings.

RitaAnn Henriksen: I really enjoy your adventures, you show such respect to these old homes. This was a wonderful house to see. Thank you, Rita Henriksen

Juniper Moon: That wood carved mirror is spectacular! Good on you both for dodging the bats.

Brent Martin: This channel is just one of my favorites ever, the fact that I can see these incredibly beautiful structures is like eye candy for me. And also the fact that you guys know the history behind so many of these places just adds to the nostalgia for me, I would love to explore these kinds of places one day.

Brenda Boltz: Such exquisite woodworking throughout. Great video .I love the way in which you present each place that you show us.Keep up the great job.love that bat too!

Terri: I really enjoy you Lesley and Danny together. Great find! Really enjoyed this explore.

Nancy Taylor: WOW the woodwork is beyond’s words. Who wouldn’t want it. I wouldn’t sell it, I would enjoy it, bring life back into it. Awesome place! Thanks for sharing it.

blonde*and*blue: This is so much better than going to a museum! I like the way you explore, you make it feel so real! Great job, Leslie and Danny! Beautiful

majordeej: Another wonderful exploration and an exceptional find of a location! As always, looking forward to more of your adventures and discoveries! Stay awesome!

Amm Gal: Esta es una de las casas más hermosas que haz presentado en tu canal, la arquitectura, el mobiliario, todo! Ojalá logren rescatar del abandono este palacio, aún es tiempo. Muchas gracias por este video, es de mis preferidos.

Janine Dunn: Somehow, in any way possible, that altar and all the other woodwork pieces of art should be rescued and preserved! Absolutely astonishing!!!! Thanks L and D!!

Ismat Jahan: Thank you so much Lesley and Danny for this wonderful one.. Much appreciated your effort to make this.. Much love ❤️

Linda Mesa: The wood carvings in the furniture and that alter is absolutely amazing! I like very much how Danny films he's really good I never get sea sick and he really knows how to accent the special features! Amazing palace for sure! Danny u should take Lesley to Fatima so he can see why Portugal is so Religious! A story I heard when I was a child!

Donnadean Dean: I am your new fan Leslie. Your a great story teller of those who abandoned their homes in with European mansions and homes, which were built last compared to the USA, although. I like how to tie in the history of families in Europe who are now gone. Keep the videos like this coming. ❤ my family migrated from Europe. Been to Europe and love it there.

Tammy Cisneros: All the wood furniture is absolutely stunning. It's a shame that it was never restored or kept or moved on to Future absolutely beautiful ❤️

Becky G: Beautiful mansion! It always makes me sad to see it decaying. And the gorgeous furniture, stove, light fixtures etc. Seems like someone could at least save those things.

Suzanne Talbott: So cool! Who pays for the land and taxes, etc for 40 years? Really curious how it can still be around, abandoned. I would think the government would tear it down. You guys are awesome! Thanks. for sharing your passion!

Dianne: Oh Wow!!! I have to say this place has so many treasures! If I had a billion dollars I would buy this house and renovate it! Such a great exploration! Thank you Danny and Lesley! ❤

Emily Mcdowell: You are allowing the whole world to see what would have been hidden away forever. Thank you

sukanya mckeen: It’s a stunning mansion, everything left in the mansion are beautiful antique , very sad to see this place got abandoned, thank you for sharing.

Flo Herrera: This is such a beautiful place. Pray owner take all the antiques out. Thank you for making this one love it. New viewer.

Julie Pender: I love the respect and awe you have for the house and items. I saw another one of this house and unfortunately since it was night I don't think your attic tour showed the amazing books and sheet music they found in the larger attic space. It's so sad to see, not only the decay of the house, but the loss of the irreplaceable artwork and furniture.

Wesley Webb: Lesley I’m so mad I missed the premiere today had to run out for awhile but catching up now !!! Keep up the awesome work!!!!!!!

piggywiggyxX: Caladryl was probably calamine lotion, just helps with hives and itching. Probably for the field workers in the vineyard. I love these videos btw thank you for sharing ❤

Sylviadarte: What a beautiful palace. It's almost a museum of traditional portuguese handmade fourniture, so glad that you, Lesley and Danny had capted it to show the world another treasure. Ja fico à espera do proximo video

Carol Ali: That's a beautiful and well preserved house. It appears that someone is looking after it to some extent because plaster that has fallen from the ceiling is not on the floor or furniture so someone must have cleaned up.

Jill Anthony: wow!!!! i soooo Enjoy seeing these places!!!! .And the small room overlooking the chapel is a choir loft. I must compliment both of your demeanors and how you always show respect for the places you are in. Well done! Sending Warmest Regards from New Hampshire, USA.

D Aus: Wow wow what an incredible grandiose mansion sadly going to waste excellently presented as always thank you ❤

Jennene Shanholtz: Thank you so much for sharing this explore guys. There were so many interesting, beautiful and valuable antiques in this abandoned home. I appreciate your time, effort and the respect that you show for all the abandoned places that you explore.

catherine hutchinson: Absolutely breathtaking, so much beauty slowly crumbling away. It’s sacrilege to allow beautiful craftsmanship to go to waste.. love every upload guys, stay safe and thanks ❤️

spearageddon: Spectacular tour gentlemen! What a beautiful home and the carved furniture is amazing. That Caladryl bottle is a topical lotion to relieve itchiness from insect bites and such.

Lena Kristin Ramp: The beauty….. it’s just stunning to see and so sad since it’s just decaying…. I’m an archivist and I see so many things that breaks my heart being lost to decay and not saved for the future to come… love what u guys do❤❤❤

x x: Beautiful home and great find. Would be great to see some people living back in it.

Елена: Потрясающе!!! Спасибо огромное за путешествие в прошлое❤️ и за субтитры на русском языке ❤️

coyotedust: In America we don't even have antiques this magnificent. I can't believe nobody has stolen them.

Douglas Lee: Agree with all the other comments about the unique woodworking on the furniture. One of your best! Also wondered about the lack of plaster debris on the furniture and floor. Enjoyed hearing Danny’s response during this explore.

Janice A: I noticed in the first bathroom you went into, the room with the tub; the ceiling had fallen, yet there was nothing on the floor. And the kitchen wood cook stove was hooked up to a hot water heating system. The stove heated the water. Beautiful craftsmanship on everything. This is such a shame that unwanted homes of this magnitude are not salvaged by the locals to benefit them.

Wayne Reynolds: Would be nice if the furniture could be salvaged before it goes to ruin. A fortune in antiques. The candle holders on the pianos are really nice. Thanks for the tour.

Tasya: Большое спасибо ребята за ваш труд! Ваши ролики прекрасны! Будьте осторожны и берегите себя!

Bell Buchanan: started watching you guys and i love everything and everything you find.

Özlem Doğrusoz: When I was watching I just imagined I was there then I frightened. How did you do video without scare. Congratulations both you. You both incredible.

david: Hello, it was once again a magnificent discovery with you, as for the ceilings in this house, they are not made of wood but of plaster, they are trompe-l'oeil, there is a painting to imitate the wood as was done a lot at that time in Portugal.

Gail Johnston: Thank you for your amazing videos that stop time and reveal so much history and wonder. Carry on ,you're both amazing people.

Randy Carson: Love everything about this explore ❤️ Watching from USA Louisiana

LC: Thanks Danny and Lesley it was another beautiful video!!

Kristie Binns: Stunning! So sad leaving all of the beautiful furniture behind . So many bats! YIKES!

Lillie Tate: I love watching your channel ❤ you show kindness and compassion, love and respect! Our homes are so important to us! ❤

Elena Diaz: Wooo!! Que belleza, gracias desde Mexico

Barbara Bretti: Love the bird flying around the room thank you for showing this beautiful abandoned house

Quinn: What can I say but Wauw! The furniture is off the charts in design and age. Even the building itself Beautiful! Fantastic explore. ❤

Suzy Lopez: Hi Lesley sending you lots of good vibes ✨️ Take care

Kerri Ko: Every place you explore becomes another favorite of mine! This place…wow!

Teresa Schofield: What a once beautiful place. The ceilings would have been amazing. Great explore!

Griffin Art and Airbrushing: Amazing place, adventure around every corner! Thank you!

Tangela Allison: So sad to see all that beautiful furniture going to waste. Wow

Nazia Miah: The music is so beautiful and suits with the abounded Palace, I loved the person who was recorded the video was, talking about the place and showed how much he knows also, normally they stay silent.

Peggy S: Beautiful carved wooden furniture and painted ceilings. Great job, thanks guys!

1964blueyes: The house is surprisingly clean and tidy . So great to see not vandalised and ruined . That furniture would be worth a fortune. Great explore

Xoxo firecat: Thanks guys this was such a beautiful place, blessings and love sent your way, stay safe♐✨☮️

thunderstorms06: That was pretty good I like the night time tour. The one great thing the nobleman didn't have when they built homes like that and you can tell by the way they were constructed air conditioning. They didn't have it they wish they had it those ceilings would have been a whole lot lower if they had had it the buildings would have been much better preserved with air conditioning. Does high ceilings you could literally add second floors and have twice the floors. I wonder if anybody ever plans to do anything with it I guess it's too old to ensure most insurance companies won't insure a building over 100 years old cuz they know they're going to have to pay out when it burns. If there would be some kind of way to spread the whole inside with a flame retardant and replace all the sheetrock plaster on top new wiring plastic pipes. It could be turned into something

Melissa: Lynnwood Hall has some competition! This house has so many beautiful qualities, I love it! Here's to hoping it gets some life back in those walls

Barbara Kruza: I love your show and how professional you are with your show! I also enjoy when you dress up to the time period! Keep up the great work!
