#CurlyHair#GymRoutine#HowToPreserveCurls

Wondering how am i going to preserve my curly hair and reach my fitness goals? I got you hi guys, welcome back to my channel or welcome if you are new, so today's video i'm going to show you guys how i preserve my curly hair when i go to the gym so kind of like my curly hair gym routine. I consider myself a pretty active person, so if you're a pretty active person or if your new year's resolution, we should just get more into fitness - and you know, reach your fitness goals and you're wondering how am i going to preserve my curly hair and reach my Fitness goals, i got you i'm going to show you guys how you can preserve your curly hair and still stay active and still stay healthy without having to wash your hair every single time you go to the gym, so i actually struggle with this, because it's not Even a lot of steps, but i'm honestly kind of lazy. So for me i'm, like you know what let me just throw my hair up in a bun. That'S why 80 of the time my hair ends up being in the bun on like day three, but because i do work out quite often, i have found a few different things that have really helped me preserve my curls throughout the week, and that is what i'm Going to show you guys today, it'll also be a little bit of a vlog style i'll. Take you guys down to the gym with me, hopefully nobody's down there, because if there is, i don't know if i'll actually record, but i figured it'd be cool to insert some of that footage. So i hope you guys enjoyed this video and let's just get started. So before i go to the gym, i'm going to tie my hair up and the first thing i'm going to do is throw on a headband. So i think this is just like a cotton material. It'S it just feels like a t-shirt material to be honest, um and i'm just gon na put this on my head, and this is like day two curls, so i really do want them to look nice, it's also only sunday, so i'm trying to have my hair At least last through wednesday, that'll be ideal for me before i put my headband on i'm going to secure my hair in a loose bun using a satin scrunchie at the top of my head and i'm gon na try. Hopefully, you guys can see so i'm only gon na really wrap this around like one time, but in order for it to stay secure, i am going to use some bobby pins to make sure that it's not like falling and flopping all over the place, and then I have to like readjust it when i go to the gym, but i also don't want to have like a super tight, ponytail or scrunchie wrapped in my hair. I'M just going to pin some of these down, i'm like pinning the scrunchie to my head, so it just stays alright. So now i'm just going to put the headband on, and i'm also going to pin down the headband, because this isn't one of like those active headbands with that. Like rubber thing, that's supposed to stay on your head, i would not suggest using those. I don't use them because i feel like that. Rips my hair out, and although this may cause some frizz, it's not going to rip my hair out and the reason i like wearing a headband is because i feel like it kind of collects the sweat and all the moisture. That'S going to be on my scalp and you really don't want to keep your scalp wet for unnecessary amount of time. So i just like to wear this headband and i'm also going to use some bobby pins to make sure that it stays in place. I'Ll just put some at the back of my head and then i'll put two in the front, and that is really all i have to do for my hair to really stay in place. I might add a few more bobby pins to my actual bun okay, so i think that should be good. I'M gon na go ahead downstairs to the gym and bring you guys with me cross my fingers that nobody's actually in there and let's go work out. Okay, so i got my mask i like to bring my own um like a workout band, and i freaking forgot my gym shoes at my sister's house. So i'm just wearing my converse. I'M not gon na be running today. So hopefully they don't do me dirty. But let's go ahead downstairs. I just use a gym in my apartment building because it's just really convenient, but it is quite small. So we'll see so i made it to the gym, and the first thing i like to do is cardio just for a little bit of a warm up. Lately, i've been loving doing lauren giovardo's 12 30 workout. If you don't know what that is, she talks about it, a lot on her youtube channel and her instagram, but i did pretty much a modified version of this to shorten it a little bit and then i just go straight into my actual workout. So i really just like to focus on my lower body. I do a lot of leg and booty type of workouts, and this is just a random compilation. I guess of workouts. I don't really have a set routine right now, maybe in a few weeks or a month or two i'll, get everything down pack and could possibly give you guys a gym routine. If you guys are interested in that so first i like to just do everything with only my body weight and then i'll go in and add banded exercises and then lastly i'll add actual weights light weights using kettlebells or dumbbells, so so yeah. This is definitely not going to be like a super in-depth gym routine. I just wanted to show you guys a little bit of what i do when i do workout and how my hair holds up when i do put it up in this way to protect it. While i'm working out, i also like to end out all my workouts with a little bit of an ab workout. I honestly just go until like i can't go anymore and then i'm done. I also do like to stretch after every workout. I think that's really important to incorporate into your workout routine, but that is all for now and i'll see you guys once i go back upstairs hey guys, so i just got back from the gym. There'S only a few people in there, so i was really happy about that, but yeah i'm trying to just jump in the shower asap. That'S why i don't have my camera mounted yet, but i did want to show you guys that before i even touch my hair, i'm literally not going to touch it at all. I'M just going to throw a shower cap on top to avoid any extra moisture from the steam and everything like that, because my hair is already damp. I don't want to add more moisture to it when i shower so yeah, i'm going to go. Do that because i'm really out of breath and i'm all hot and sweaty and gross okay, so i just got out the shower. I feel like my face, is a little bit red still, but that is okay. I have not touched my hair, yet i did shower with my shower cap. I just picked this one up. Well, i've been using this for a while, but this is just like a random one. It was like four dollars at target and i've been incorporating this into my daily routine anyway, so i'm gon na go ahead and take my hair down. Everything stayed in place, my headband's still in the same place, my bun wasn't flopping around anywhere. So i think this is a really good way to secure your hair. If you have longer hair, if you do have shorter hair, you could probably get away with just putting your hair up in a pineapple, but my hair would literally be like in my face and everywhere. So i'm gon na go ahead and take this down and see what the damage is and, as i take my hair down, i'm just going to try my best to not excessively touch it and just shake it out and let it just like do its thing without Running my fingers through it just like, let it be i'm just gon na shake it so after i kind of shake it out, you guys can see. I have some frizz already, but but for now i'm gon na go in with this dry shampoo. This is from ogx, it's the coconut miracle oil version, and this one smells really good. I don't want to apply too much. I feel like it can be really easy to apply a lot of dry shampoo because of the way it comes out. I don't know, i think there are some that are like more like spritzy. If you know what i mean and not like a this cotton aerosol, i don't know, but you guys know what i mean i haven't found one of those, and this is one that i've just been using. So that is what i'm gon na use today. What i'm gon na do, though, is kind of flip my hair over and just make sure i'm only applying this on my roots, so i'm just going to make sure i'm really only getting my roots. So after i'm done applying this to my roots, i like to just let it sit on my hair for like 10 to 20 minutes and just let it be and not touch my hair. Just let my hair be let the dry shampoo, soak up all that oil and all that moisture from being all sweaty after working out and then i'll go in and actually refresh my hair with products, so i'll be back in a few minutes, but really just one. Second, for you guys so stay tuned, okay guys, so i'm back, it's probably been like 30 minutes and honestly i feel, like my hair, looks pretty good. Obviously, there's a lot of frizz. It'S not that bad, but you can definitely see it on camera, so we're gon na go ahead and fix that so i'm gon na be using the same products i used for my wash day and that's the cantu curl activator and the uncle funky's curly magic, gel And then i'm just gon na split my hair in half and just work on one section at a time or one side at a time: okay, so what i'm gon na do? First, i'm not even gon na wet my hair, i'm actually just gon na like wet. My hands, if i was by the sink you know i would just put water in my hands, but i'm just gon na wet my hands and then put the product in my hands, so i'm basically just kind of like diluting the product a little bit. I don't want to put a whole glob of product and it's only day two, so i'm kind of just going in individually and helping to redefine some of these curls and re-moisturize. Some of these curls and just scrunching, your hair, will kind of help reinforce some of the curls that have been stretched out foreign foreign. So so i'm finished refreshing my hair with the products, and it looks really good. So i'm just going to let it air dry and i probably will go in and diffuse it just a little bit. But overall i would say, if you're going to refresh your hair with product, try to use the same products that you already used on your wash day and just use a little bit, because you don't want to end up weighing your hair down. You already put more than enough product in your hair on the wash day. You don't need to put that same amount, so just like dilute the product or just use a very little amount, and that should be good. But i'm gon na go ahead and let my hair air dry and i'll get back to you guys in a little bit. Okay guys! So that's everything that i do to preserve and protect and refresh my curls when i do work out during the week. I don't always do this, like i mentioned earlier, sometimes i'm just honestly, too lazy and i throw my hair up in a bun, but especially if it's still the beginning of the week and it's early on in the wash week. I like to do this just so that i'm not wearing my hair in a bun like four days out of seven, so this is really it. My hair is looking really good right now. I do have a little bit of a cast but i'll scrunch, that out in the morning before work and i'm just gon na go ahead and tie my hair up in a scarf. So it is protected overnight and go to bed, and my curls should look perfectly fine in the morning, but thank you guys so much for watching this video. I really hope you guys enjoyed this one. I had a lot of fun filming it because it was just something a little bit different. Let me know if you like this kind of video, if i should incorporate more like a lifestyle here on my channel. I definitely will, if that's something that you guys would love to see. I really hope this video was helpful and i appreciate you taking the time to watch it. Don'T forget to come back every sunday for a new video but turn on the bell. So you know every single time i upload and i'll see you guys all in my next video bye,

Jessica Meraz: Thank you for this ! Most days I sacrifice cute hair for convenience because I workout 6 days a week. Maybe I can look decent again lol

Some Thoughts: I love these kinds of videos of yours! ☺️ Have you ever tried doing protective braiding styles? Though I’m not a swimmer anymore i still like to stay active and think they’d be good for working out in general

ZizYoubizHERE: thank you SO SO much!!! you were straight to the point which I needed right now

Shayla Melina: omg I needed this! so needed help with refreshing my curls!

ArelyIsMe: Love this! Does the bun hold up okay when you run? I feel like mine flops around a lot and my curls don’t love a braid lol

pipa luxe: You are literally my hair goals! I feel like we have a similar curl pattern but I'm struggling with moisture and finding THE products that are my go to and work. Can you please do a video on your favorite shampoo, conditioners and deep conditioners that maintain your healthy curls. I feel like this is the step I'm missing and it's so hard to find the right products that work behind the scene but are the most important to maintaining healthy curls. If there is anything extra you do or what routine you found really works could you please include that ❤️❤️

Jasmine Shiree: My hair is definitely not as curly. But this is by fair the BEST and MOST HELPFUL workout wavy/curly hair video I have ever seen. Thank YOU

Simone Gouveia: I needed this

Mercy Dominguez: neeededdd. thank you my curly kween <3

Gael Hodges: I recommend you look for fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.

stylinoutlander: Hi, what's the point of a dry shampoo?

Janneke: I just hate my hair... my hair is messed up at the first part: but in a bun. My hair will loose its curl when I put it in a bun, and its too loose to make a bun on top of my hair

Genesis Maria: We love a good workout! Where are your shorts from?

Yaliana Enid: Happy Sunday✨✨
