How To Refresh Curly Hair

Hi guys! Thank you for visiting my channel.

Come see how I show you simple techniques of how to refresh your hair without stepping foot into the shower. I do not mention what products I am using as I am focused more on teaching visually how to get through your hair with one ingredient and 2 products. This technique is great to maintain volume at the roots but have healthy and shiny curl definition. This technique is also great for staying away from feeling cold when air drying in the cold weather.

As a curly hair girl myself, I have dedicated my profession and craft to curly hair individuals.

Hey Sarah, so these are my results of what I did this morning on my Instagram live and I love doing lives because you can't make this up. I was able to wake up in the morning and I wanted to take a shower, but I didn't want to rewetting all head because it's 35 degrees outside here in New York. So with that being said, I definitely created a way that I can restyle my hair and educate on how to do this refresh step where you can still use the same products that you're using you don't have to go out and buy new products at all. You can simply add a cream utilize water, for that is the number one ingredient that you need for any products will work with you, I'm just scrunching out the cast that my gel has created on my freshly refreshed curls. I did not rewetting. I did not relent. My head from roots to ends, I only read wet well. I actually would love to share this video with you that I'm making on exactly where i relent the hair, exactly how i refresh so stay tuned for that information, and I look forward to connecting with you. I think this came out great, I'm super happy with my hair and I can't wait to share my details with you. Alright guys here we are shaking it out. My hair at this point is about three to four days worn. I don't have a consistent sleep regimen. I sleep like a crazy person and I also take really good care of my hair. So, if you are someone in the beginning of their journey, first focus on your hydration and moisture levels before attempting this method and technique and that's exactly what it is. I'M showing you the same products that I'm using or the amount of product that I'm using may not pertain to exactly how much you'll be needing, but water is always essential in universal need, an element and the number one ingredient that curly hair needs. I love imperfections. I think keeping hair not 100 % as wet as maybe you're getting other strands again. I think that's wonderful, because we are a curl buffet. We have so many different textures and because of that, we want to use a really nice smoothing technique. So here I'm demonstrating how I'm going to utilize a smoothing technique: gliding downward pressing a cream into the hair mixed with the water, whether you're super oily, wavy or curly, or a mix of everything. This is going to be very useful technique for you so be sure to check out that slide again. When you get the chance density matters, we all have different densities. We can be the medium. We can be thick I'm about medium density, so I make sure that my sections are probably about two inches wide: the thicker, the density, the smaller the section so again following the method but personalize how you're going to go through your hair because you got ta use Your intuition, when it's nice to your your unique hair, it is your fingerprint anyway right. No one else have hair like you so notice. I am getting up to the root in some areas and I'm also thinking angling, but I'm still left a lot of volume. You know why, because I'm not putting my head underneath the shower head, so wet everything fully. So this is the spray bottle and the conditioner applied with my hands is just enough to give me smooth defined curls. What'S gon na give me hold, are lovely lovely products that are lightweight and have a medium hold again. You got ta know your hair pretty well enough to know whether a medium hold is gon na, be strong enough for you or if you need something a little bit stronger with some muscles weak make your best decision here in this moment, because your hair is gon Na dry, with definition right here, so that's forward. You know about 45 minutes later my gel has crystallized. I have again left the water and product away from my roots, so my roots never needed time and air dries, which is super important because, as I scrunch and opened my hair, I have a lot more shape by so much more balance and I'm gon na get A lot more days out of my hair for the week good news is, I get to stay warm during all of this, so that's really important. This is something that I hope is useful for you. If you have any comments or have any questions, please feel free reach out, leave a comment below
