Here'S an awesome question by Darcy: what is the best way to get a client's hair to hold the curl when you are doing curls with a round brush on long hair? Darcy thanks and I know exactly what you're talking about you ever work so hard with a round brush and you're, putting it in, and it's looking good but then as you're working through around the head by the time, you're get done. Some of what you put in has collapsed a lot of times, that's because the weight of the hair, I'm going to recommend that you take a texture, iron and number one you just tap on it. That'Ll explode that cuticle a little bit, especially if it's very sleek in terms of that cuticle. Okay. So that's trick number one number two in answer to your specific question: see because you could hit the texture iron just go tap tap tap tap with the texture iron. Then you go through with your round brush here's the trick with your round brush okay! So I'm going to take my product of choice on a section okay, so I'm going to take a section and I'm taking my product of choice, which is spray starts 15, which is an awesome product to use in regards to getting some nice control and hold that's Right, I'm going to blow-dry with this, it's a thermal spray and it's awesome when you're protecting with heat, so you're really going to bake this in so we're going to come through and we're going to bake this in in terms of how we're working with this. So I want you to follow me here, watch to how I'm going to go through and I'm going to use the brush and the brush comes in. So let's say I bring my brush in and I'm working with my blow-dryer. So we do this and you're coming through and you're baking, your heat in okay and you're baking that in now, what I don't want you to do is just let it roll around brush out. Here'S what I want you to do once you bake this in and you feel you've got it really baked in remember. Space starts 15 will help to control that once you're here, all you're going to do is take your brush and come through and you're going to unravel this way. So you unravel, unravel, unravel, unravel, see I'm going coming through. All I did was just take the bus. Now watch what's going to happen, I'm going to let that sit there, so it sits and cools down in that spiral formation. It'S going to sit that way. Instead of you unrolling the brush and just letting it collapse and you're looking at miring the curl, I want you to unravel, go to another section, that's going to help you! So you remember that, my dear, when you're working with your round brush, let me add out, allow me to demonstrate it again. Take your section: okay, you simply come through okay and you place your brush in you can see. I pre did this section for you once you're here hit your round brush on that then come through with your heat bake it in now watch the brush to point the brush towards the clients head and come underneath and now just roll and roll and roll and Roll and roll, and now that sits there, so that will cool down in that formation. I hope that helps you out and thanks for the question.

Sam Villa Hair Tutorials: HI everyone... lots of comments from those of you trying to do this at home and experiencing the brush getting stuck. Two things that will help... #1 be very careful with the amount of tension you are placing on the brush. If the brush is very tight in the hair, it will be very difficult. #2. As you unravel the brush, you must also be turning the handle of the brush in a way that is allowing the hair to release from the bristles. If you hold the handle of the brush still as you unwrap, it will twist the hair tighter and tighter into the bristles. Try this just at your ends a few times and then once you get the hang of the technique, go to the midstrand of your hair, then once you feel like you found the rhythm of the technique, you should be able to go all the way to the base. This is not easy to do on yourself so take your time. Hope that helps!

Jenna Nuh: I'm a hairdresser of 4yrs and I love this technique. I do this to almost every one of clients, especially when they love bounce. It took me a bit to master it but I'm glad I did, so many new clients because of this blow dry technique.

Monica Jones: OMG...I've been doing this very trick for the last few years...I just kinda started doing it one day on my own and never stopped...I feel like such a rockstar knowing that you do this too! I think you are phenomenal I could watch you cut & style all day long...thanx for all the videos...best of luck in all your future endeavors!

Ishrat Laka: I did this to my sister and we ended up spending around 2 hours trying to get it out. We didn't want to cut her hair off so we spent the time trying to pluck the bristles from the hairbrush ONE BY ONE. also, her hair is insanely soft and straight yet it still managed to get stuck.

mai567: Thank you so much for this tutorial! My hairstylist used this technique when he was curling my hair once and it held up so well! But when I tried it at home, my brush would immediately get stuck in my hair so I would give up on it. Now I know what I was doing wrong. Thank you! :)

bluefanta09: I've been always doing my hair that technique although I didn't even know exist cos I am not a hairdresser. It helps to rule my long and bushy hair and turns them into nice and soft curls. I use just different round brush with ceramic barrel and shorter bristles to avoid hair jamming onto brush.

Stephanie: It is a neat technique but this whole twisting might create frizz on some hair types. Instead I usually unravel the brush slowly and twist the hair with my hand into a curl lock shape. This helps smooth the cuticle and spread the natural oils of the hair.

makeupfreak81: Amazing and so much easier than the other youtube hair tutorials.thanks for sharing :)

Okay ಠ_ಠ: If you guys wanna curl your hair instantly without getting it stuck is to use a pencil or pen and use a blow dryer at the top of the pencil wrapped around your hair And it’s all set and curled (Blow dry your hair for 30 sec each part)

David: i do this all the time i love it looks amazing!

stephanie solorzano: Amazing!!  I can't wait to try this.  I prefer to use the brush & dryer to finish the style.  This tip will help to lock in that curl  Thank you!

Librarygurl: Love your videos. Thanks for being so generous with your information.

VictoriaWright01: I'm studying hairdressing at the moment, however in England we (or in my college) we don't even get shown this! Can't wait to try it out

Charity F: When I was 5 and didn't know how to use a round brush I also got one stuck in my head. But this video is made for stylists who usually know how to use a round brush and not get it stuck, so the problem isn't with the brush or this technique, you just have to learn how to use the brush before you try this. Try watching some basic round brush videos first. Great video, I love this technique! I use it all the time and it works amazingly. Always best to let the curl sit and set and then go back through at the end and really unravel it

Keqing: I TRIED THIS AND MY HAIR GOT STUCK IN THE BRUSH SO MY MOM HAD TO CUT IT OFF. NO, NOT THE BRUSH, MY HAIR!!

Videos with Doggo: Important: unravel underneath the hair! Going down as you let go. As Sam said.

Kathleen Malloy: They offered this bracelet as a special or a gift with the purchase of his shears last year at SalonCentrix. I was  tempted but  budget wouldn't allow  at the time so went with Rocket Dogs 7. Actually turned out to be a very good thing, two weeks later, the night before Thanksgiving, my car was broken into and with all the stuff in my car that may have been useful to some punk thieves including a case of wine and beer, the only thing the a$$holes took was my kit. (I had it with me cause I was high-lightening my nieces hair at her house. I do a lot of session work and never leave my bag in my car but I had groceries for TG dinner and was too tired to go back down to my car. The only good things was opted for the RD's, ifI had sprung for the Villa 7" I would have been ready to stick my head in the oven! (just kidding) actually the only thing irreplaceable was my grandfather's neck duster which he used as a barber in the 1920's. It was beautiful and  every time I used it I thought of him. What kills me is the stupid kids probably had no idea what the stuff was worth and didn't get $50 for it, meanwhile it cost me a grand to replace! Moral of the story, no matter how tired you are never leave your gear in your car!

Eurasia Shakai: I see everyone saying they did to THEMSELVES and the brush got stuck , when he read the questions card , I got clients head which means this technique is for the stylist not the client you can try it on yourself but don't get upset lol
