Hey guys as it gets colder outside and we start to bundle up with scarves jackets and boots, we got ta figure out what to do with all the hair. One of my favorite ways to add a bit of winter style to my hair and protection from the elements is with beanie caps. I love beanie caps and I have a ton, I'm slightly obsessed, so I'm going to show you how I like to wear them and how I fit them over. My big hair, most caps, are made from wool or cotton fibers that tend to soak all the moisture from your hair. So you'll want a barrier between your hair and the head. There are some hats you can buy like these that come with a set and lining already sewn inside to protect your hair, but I think they're a bit overrated. First of all, they can be way overpriced. The satin lining usually doesn't reach all the way to the edge of the hat and because the lining isn't flexible, they don't stretch out as much as I'd like them to so yeah they're, okay, but I wouldn't kill myself trying to find one now. These I like just your regular Wolvie cap, super stretchy and actually quite inexpensive. Now. The only problem with these are that the wool or cotton hats - don't mix well with naturally curly dry hair. Now, before you go beast mode on your wool beanies and swear to never wear them again, there's a really easy solution to this problem, and it's your setting scarf yep that same scarf that you sleep in. So here's what I do when wearing my hair out with the beanie cap grab your satin scarf and I like to fold mine in half into a triangle, place the scarf on your head and tie it tightly in the back. I tied it twice for good measure. I push the front back to expose a bit of hair and totally optional, but I bobby pin the scarf in place, especially if my hair is out, so it won't slip off my head. So now the entire top of your head, touching the Hat, is protected and bonus all that hair is compacted to fit easily under the cap. So it doesn't look like your hat is popping off your head from all the hair. Now just grab your favorite beanie cap and throw it on super easy and cute, and no one will suspect the satin scarf underneath. So never thought you'd be able to wear that French beret hat again well, when your hair is nicely compacted under the scarf. Even the tightest hats will fade we week so chic my black beret hat with cat hair all over it yeah so chic. It really stinks that all the cutest hats have the smallest openings. One size does not fit all, but just throw on your satin scarf and you'd, be surprised at what fits on your head and you can rest easy, knowing that the wool isn't touching or drying out your hair, one of my favorite combos koala hat with a side Pony, so if you really want to protect your hair, you got to cover it up, so sometimes I'll take all the hair twist it and wrap it into a low bun. Then I take my satin scarf this time, not folding. It place it on my head and tie it low under my bun twice then, with the ends hanging down, I just twist them and tie them high over my bun. So they don't hang out of the Hat. Push the scarf back a bit to reveal some hair and throw on your beanie cap simple, as that, and I usually like to add a scarf when my hair is all tucked away and that's it. Your hair is all protected from the elements. Okay, so here's a tip I shared on a much older video using a scarf called conditioning on the go if your hair is really dry or you just want extra protection from the elements grab a plastic hat. Now you can do this on dry hair or you can wet the hair lightly or apply a bit of conditioner. First, either way twist up the hair if it's wet or wrap it into a low bun. If it's dry and place the plastic cap on your head. Now, if you're using a conditioner grab an old beanie that you don't care much about and use that, otherwise really any beanie will do just avoid using one with tons of holes like this one or people might be able to see the plastic poking through. Not a good look so just place the beanie cap on top and you're good to go, and no one will ever suspect that your deep conditioning, while you're out so every time, I'm feeling lazy or I just don't - want to take my twists up. But I have to go outdoors. The beanie cap is my number one go-to. It allows me to keep my twists in all day and not get stared at by strangers, which is always appreciated. So again I just fold my scarf in half and place it on my head tying it tightly in the back twice. Then I just throw on a beanie cap and I'm good to go. I really love how it looks, and I also love the fact that it allows me to keep my twisting for as long as I want now. If you've got twists and you don't want them to show for whatever reason, just wrap them in a bun and again cover with your satin scarf and beanie cap, and that's it some of my favorite ways to wear my beanie caps and protect my hair. At the same time, so don't go tossing out your hats and care of them drying out your hair, get as many as you want, no matter the fiber content. But hey don't be I in mind. I see you get your own and don't forget to pick up a satin scarf and plastic cap. I hope this helps guys I'll see you later check out the latest from my second channel as we get used to life at home with Olivia our new baby girl

Ever thought about trying them? Second, I've changed my natural hair routine to using terressentials 2x/month and clarify w/ ACV between the washes. It was working but lately I've found my scalp to be very itchy and the ACV isn't really controlling the build up. Any suggestions? Should I do the mud wash more often?
