you guys are the best. i love you. that is all. and If you're actually reading this...comment below with a WHAAZZAAAA?!?! lol xD

FTC: This is not a sponsored video.

Guys it's Cayley, so today's video is going to be a curly hair tutorial on how I get my hair to look to look like this. So apparently, if you clicked on this video, then you like to have a big lion's mane. I actually have a hair extensions in right now, because when I do my hair curly, I prefer it to be SuperDuper long, although my hair is shorter, it's it's about that short yep. I have not done this video since, like 2012, so this has been a long time coming. So I am excited to show you guys this new routine, because it is completely different than what you have seen me do before I'm really just trying to UM. I guess the best way to put it simplify my routine, so that way I don't feel like I'm forever trying to get ready in the morning. I just want something quick and easy to do so. This is what I came up with and yeah. I hope that you guys like it, let's go ahead and get started alright guys. So the very first thing that I like to do is an overnight mask and usually it involves castor oil, because I am trying to get my hair to grow longer about two to three times a week in my either hot oil treatments, protein masks or moisture masks. So when I do a protein mask I'll, do a video separately on this, but protein masks I like to throw in eggs. It just helps to really rebuild the hair, makes your hair super shiny. Today I was doing a moisture mask overnight, so it had primarily coconut oil in it. I also threw in some maracuja oil, as well as some essential oils. Like lavender and rosemary. I like to use this hair Gertz, smoothing yogurt shampoo. It'S is creamy and rich. It'S made with yogurt powder prebiotics quinoa and usually have to do it about 2 to 3 times, because the coconut oil, for example, is just like really stuck in my hair, so I have to make sure that I'm getting it out. It also does a great job of keeping my hair from getting too frizzy and just keeps it nice and hydrated and moisturized, even after I've shampooed twice it doesn't strip my hair of all the oils. It still feels really good afterward. This smells amazing, it's so good. Alright next thing that I do is I use this Ryoji. Oh, don't despair, repair, deep conditioning mask. It also has no sulfates no parabens and no silicones, so this contains a unique blend of avocado, sweet almond and Argan oils, and also hair essential vitamins like b5 and biotin to repair damaged, hair, enhance shine and reduce breakage by up to 81 %. A little goes. A long way, I really don't need much and I'll just focus this on the ends of my hair and slowly start working up. Let it sit in my hair for about 3 to 5 minutes. While I do other things like wash my body shave wash my face, I make sure that it sits on my hair a little bit, so it can really soak in after rinsing my hair, I squeeze out all the excess in my hair. I just kind of like gently wring it out, try and get out as much as I can and then I'll jump out of the shower I'll, usually throw on a towel. I won't touch my hair at all and I'll go through and do like all of my skincare products, my whole entire skincare routine. I will use a cotton t-shirt and I'll scrunch, my hair with that, and what I like to do is like kind of flip, my hair over on either side. So I'll start with one side flip my hair over. So it's away from my neck and then I'll use the cotton ball. Okay and then I'll put the t-shirt in my hand and just scrunch up scrunching it up all the way to the roots. Basically, what this does is it helps to reform the curls. It'S kind of like teaching them how to be again kind of like training them in a way to where I want them to look once. I feel like I squeezed all of the water out of my hair and scrunch it up nice and good. Then I'll go in with my rose water, so this is an all-purpose toner. You can use it on your skin and your hair, which I do like to use it on my face too, but I like to do this as a first step. It'S kind of like a water-based leave-in, basically, and what it does is. It helps to balance the pH levels, improves shine and it gives your hair a natural luster, and it also smells really good so I'll use this first. This is the tarte maracuja oil. I use it on my face and my hair. I absolutely love this stuff. What I do is, I just do about like three to five drops and I'll put it into the palm of my hand and then I'll rub my hands together and really warm up the product just so I can make sure that it's really absorbing into my hair And I'll start at the ends and kind of scrunch the product in and then I'll work my way to the middle of my hair and then finally up in the root area, and this also helps to tame frizz, makes your hair really shiny and hydrated. I definitely cannot live without oils in my hair, it's amazing how my hair has transformed ever since I did start using oils. I also like jojoba oil. I have tried grapeseed oil as well. Basically, I like to use anything that is very lightweight and isn't going to feel heavy or greasy or way down my hair. Finally, I like to seal the moisture into my hair by using a cream. This is by Brio Gio, it's the rock rose, Arco, blow-dry perfection and heat, protecting cream and also plates no silicones, no parabens. This is infused with a nourishing blend of rosehip argan, coconut oil, and what it does is it helps to smooth hair, enhance shine, tame frizz and it also protects against heat. Although I don't use heat on my hair, at least I haven't been in the past. I think it's been a month and a half now, which is pretty crazy, and then I just let my hair air dry. I usually like it to air dry, just as it is like. I won't touch it at all, because otherwise the curls will get messed up. So if I come out of the shower and my hair is naturally in a middle part, I just leave it that way that way the curls can form on their own without me messing with them. The only thing I'll do is about like 30 minutes later. After my hair has dried to I'd, say maybe like 60 % seventy percent, I will use my fingers and I'll rub in the root area just to kind of help. It give some more volume to my hair kind of separate off the curls a little bit and then I'll wait. Another 30 minutes to an hour to where my hairs I'd say like ninety percent dry, and that is when I'll flip my bangs over. Whichever way, I'm feeling, usually, I flip them over this way. If you flip your hair over too soon, what ends up happening is you won't? Have it all nice and curly it'll be like a lot straighter. So that's why I like the curls to form first before I start doing any flipping with my hands then at this point I decide whether or not I want to wear extensions. If I do I clip these in, they are from Amazon in the shade one. Be it's like an off black color. Do you curl the extensions? I just use this curling wand right here. It'S a cortex. I believe this is like interchangeable. You can use you know whatever size you want, but this was the smallest one that I had so this is how I replicate my curls there, just by using this. I think it's slightly inverted but yeah, I'm not sure the size. All I know is that it's super tiny and I just take like half inch sections and just wrap it really really tight around here. Let me know what you guys like to do for your curly hair routines. I do love trying new things. So if there's something that you guys would suggest to me - or I would just love to read about what you guys do down in the comments, then that would be great, so don't forget to leave your comment down below subscribe. If you haven't already give this video a thumbs up, if you liked it - and I will see you guys in my next video bye

Taylor Cognato: Omg Kayleigh! I remember the first ever video I watched from you was your first curly hair routine ever in the bathroom using the garnier smoothing milk and chi silk infusion! You gave me so much confidence in my curly hair! I was in middle school when I first started watching you and now I'm 21 and you just keep getting better. Love your videos as always! ❤️

TheSerialLove: Yes! We're back with the curly hair! Thanks to you and your curly hair tutorials you did at the beginning, I learned how to tame my crazy hair and every time I feel like rocking my natural curls, I can! Because of you! ♥♥♥

CeeCeeRo: Kayleigh! I’ve been embracing my curls for about a year. It’s been a wild journey but I’m finally figuring out what works for my hair. It’s cool seeing the things u use for ur curls!

Shali Katherval: I’m so glad you are bringing back your curly hair!! It’s so beautiful and I’m glad you are starting to embrace it again ❤️

grey salt: I would never straighten my hair, if I had such amazing curly hair like you. You look gorgeous, Kayleigh ❤️

Brandy Abdelaziz: I love how healthy your hair is. I bought the curl heat protectant cream and I actually just ordered the shampoo and conditioner. I got the matching conditioner to the strawberry banana yogurt kind. I’ll let you know how it works. My hair has been so much better lately. So thank you for this tutorial! Definitely keep them coming.

Mary Crumley: We have the EXACT same natural texture. I’m currently transitioning from damaged hair back to my healthy natural curls. Thank you for this video!

daniejoy4him: Glad to see your curls back! I started watching you from the beginning because you had so much great content for people with natural curls!

Natalie Stanton: We have almost the same curl pattern! Yay!! I love to use the squish to condish method it works so well for definition and volume. Then I rinse my roots and hair but leave maybe half in. It’s amazing at clumping the hair too, there’s a bunch of videos on YouTube about it! Only smooth a gel over it after that and let it air dry. Definitely try the method. I can’t say enough good things about what it’s done for my hair

Lizeth Madriles: This is actually the best video on this type of tutorial! I just received the same pair of extensions and already have that type curly wand set! I already have natural curly hair but fairly short but now i know how to blend it and i get tons and tons of compliments! Whenever they ask how i send them this video! You are awesome thank you so much!!

Mary Brewer: I wish you would wear your hair natural like this more often! You look beautiful with curls!! Definitely do more curl videos with any tips and tricks! I'm a curly girl myself and always looking for any help I can get. Lol

bby joanna: GIRL YESSSSS you need to film more with your curly hair I love it! It suits you so well Especially since I have curly hair as well it feels nice to relate

Jessica Grace: I love your curly hair! I think you look great and your hair looks great without the extensions❤️

Jasmine Adorno: Started watching your videos because of the curly hair tutorials you use to do and fell in love been watching ever since. I’m really happy your doing curly hair tutorials again ❤️

Vittoria Cafiero: Hi kayleigh! I'm so happy that you decide to return to your curly hair. I have curly hair of course and I'm quite proud of them. My hair is not particularly dry, but last September I had to cut off about 10-15 cm because it was so damaged. My hairstylist suggested me to put creams on the ends of my hair and to do more masks. I usually use an argan oil mask or a keratin mask (I love one from testanera that is an Italian brand called "gliss hair repair" for dry or damaged hair. It has liquid keratin and it worked really well for me!). I usually put some mousse in it to hold better my curls but I don't advice it to you because it tends to dry hair. I use heat on them only in the winter because I have school and I can't get out with wet hair. However I try to use the lowest temperature I can. Love you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ellie: Your hair is so beautiful! I can't wait to try this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alaynalynn: Love your curly hair !! So beautiful

raecat90: I love your hair curly! Your hair videos way back at the beginning of 2012 is what made me fall in love with your channel!! I need to embrace my hair more too

Nicole C.: Wow you are stunning with your curly hair!! I have naturally wavy/curly hair so I love this!!

iampusheen: I have stick straight hair, but this is so interesting to watch, the result is beautiful! ❤️

Luz Selenia Perez: I love your hair curly! I've been wearing mine natural ( curly) too and I find that it grows a lot faster.

Luz Suriel: Love the curls on you!!! So beautiful!!!

cintia justolin: Maravilhosa sempre!!! ❤️❤️

AnaKay404: Kayleigh I’m so excited you’re going back to your curls! I have really curly hair and I’m looking forward to new products to try out. Have you tried the curls defining mousse by Dove?! It tames my hair without being crunchy. You should try it out!

Pepsi3132: Love the curls! Reason I started watching was because we had similar hair types. My tip for what works for me is I work with my hair when it's really wet and work the products in first, comb thru and then scrunch my hair. First with my hands making sure to hear the "wet squishy sound" haha then go in with the t-shirt and scrunch any excess water or product. Then don't touch it until fully dried. Helps form my curls and no frizz. I love the way they look. I am one who hates frizz so much I would rather curl my hair then wear in natural. Haha. Hope you find this helpful and you give it a try. Sending love!

: Living for this curly hair❤️❤️❤️

TheYanilicious: I wonder how your curls stayed so in shape after all the heat and styles you do! Im so jealous ! It looks beautiful !

Priscilla: I've been trying to bring my curls back without heat so this video was very helpful and appreciated

Johanna G: This is so helpful!❤️

Morgan King: Bringing back the curls love it

JackieB: honestly you can pull off any style/length of hair, girl you are gorgeous!!! I also love the short hair, i feel like we never get to see it!

Sara Bodle: Beautiful! I actually prefer your curls with your natural shorter hair! But both are gorgeous ❤️

BamBamsWorld: I have naturally curly hair and I spent years using heat to straighten it and I completely damaged it to where I noticed the top of my hair is so incredibly thin ☹️ I’m getting married in October and I am so worried my hair is going to be a mess so I decided enough is enough no heat and embrace my crazy curly hair!! I started using divacurl products and I absolutely love it!!!! It’s only been a week my my hair is not frizzy it’s shiny soft I literally play with my hair all day and my hair looks the same at it did when I styled it in the morning I’d love to see what you think of it I’ll tell ya the formula I’m using!!!

Devyn: Girl, you’re preaching to the choir talking about simplifying your routine! As a fellow curly girl, I recommend taking your conditioner and mixing it in a spray bottle with water. The ratio depends on the thickness of the conditioner. It helps by saving money by not buying a leave in conditioner, and it’s great for 2nd day hair!

Lynn: I️ actually like your hair a little better with the shorter length and curls!!! I️ think your natural hair is really so pretty!!!

Inesa Arutyunyan: I love any hair look on you! You are so beautiful inside and out! ❤️

Krystyna: So glad to see your curls back they look great! I found you originally because I was looking for some videos for curly hair

puathepufekc: Curly hair suits you much more better

G: You look STUNNING with your lion hair, I love it!

Brianna: yes! Thank you so much for this video I was hoping you would make something like this. It was very helpful! I'm definitely going to start using more oils.

Kate Glass: Omg, gorgeous hair!!! Love it

Queen Khaleesi: This looks so Beautiful on you. x

csierra 1990: I remember the first video I saw of yours was your curly hair routine. I was so happy to see someone w hair similar to mine.

safa mohamed: i just realized something most people want the opposite of what they have people with curly hair want straight hair and people with curly hair want straight hair people just be thankful for what you have❣️

Carah Amelie: so jealous. I would kill for lion hair.

Pieria Pieri: Love your hair like this, great video as always

Irina Tsay: Beautiful hair! I wish I had curly hair, I would rock it everyday))

Katie Marie: Yay! This is how I found you so many many years ago! The curly hair videos <3

Melony Ellen: Hi Kayleigh! I'm so glad to see your curly hair tutorials back. I have naturally curly hair and it's very similar to yours. My hair is fine like yours, has layers just like yours, and it's the same length. I do have a question for you. I noticed in this tutorial that you didn't comb out your hair at all after getting out of the shower. Do you always skip that step? The idea of leaving the curls alone so they form naturally makes a lot of sense but how is your hair not all tangled after washing it? I would love to try simply using a cotton shirt after getting out of the shower and not touching my curls like you did but my hair gets pretty tangled after I wash it. I always ring it out in the shower then scrunch it softly with a towel then I spray detangler and use a wide tooth comb to part it the way my part goes and then comb it out. Then I scrunch it again with my hands and then I stop touching it and let it air dry. Can you gives me tips on how I can skip using my detangler and having to comb it out?

Michelle Navarrette: I have naturally straight hair, maybe one wave. So, I use the Ouai wave spray on my wet hair and scrunch. Then, air dry. That spray is magic. I'm left with gorgeous curls.

Braeden Gee: Your hair is so gorgeous! My hair never holds any kind of curl really so I’m super jelly

Deborah Vidot: Omg this hair!!! It’s everything

Lisa C: You look way better w/o the extensions and just ur natural short hair, it looks so good. Rock it short and natural cause you are blessed w/gorgeous curls.

Just Audrey: I use Kinky Curly Curling Custard on my wet hair. THE best stuff I’ve ever put on my natural curls! Expensive, but totally worth it.

anow07: I was gonna comment in your last video February Favorites, how did you grow out your hair so fast? lol. it looks so pretty natural too :) I have curly hair as well and about the same length so I can relate and love the tips you share. Also just curious where is your robe from?

MISSYMINX261: Love your hair curly!! loved the kitty moment as well

skyxstl: I don't have anything similar to the products you used, but I did just get a lavender essential oil detangler so I put that in and used a cotton shirt (this is the first time, I used to have naturally curly hair but now that Im older the texture changed and I want my curls back, we'll see how it goes!! :)

Daniela G: Love your curly hair!

Kayleigh Haywood: I have 2C hair so what I have been doing since going back to my natural hair (disclaimer: I purchased the Devacurl wavy kit from Sephora so it’ll change slightly) is on wash day, before I get in the shower, while my hair is dry I comb through my hair with a wide toothed comb (this has helped my hair de tangle so much better than doing it in the shower while wet.) then I take Devacurl No Poo shampoo and massage that into my scalp, wash my face and then rinse my hair while massaging it through the rest of my hair. Next, I take Devacurl Conditioner and apply that mostly from mid shaft and down to my ends using the sandwich method and whatever’s left onto my scalp. I leave that on while I wash my face again and my body etc. I then rinse most of it out about 95%. I should mention that the water is cool the entire time I’am in the shower. Next, I take Devacurl B’leavin and do the same method with the conditioner; then plop my hair in a micro fiber towel while I finish drying off. After, I take Devacurl Super cream (about a quarter sized amount) doing the same method as before and flip my hair over and scrunch. Then, I take a generous amount of the Devacurl Ultra Defining Gel while I’am still bent over and I first glide it over my hair from the nape to ends then scrunch and I may add more gel if needed. In addition, I’ll take my micro fiber towel and scrunch with that to help it get excess moisture out and once I see definition, I’ll stop, flip my hair back up, apply some clips to the roots for lift and let it air dry. Finally embracing my natural hair

Rachael Cliffman: Omg your hair is perfection!!!

Michelle Askins: Love the calluses on your hands!! You're working them weights girl! Get it! btw super gorgeous look, love the curls!

Ashley Sue: I’ve always loved your curly hair!

Jessica: YESSSSSSSSS curly hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I usually diffuse to get that perfect curl!

Sara Nicolle: I naturally have a thick, wild mane. It can be a little overwhelming! I’ve completely stopped using a hair brush, and I only comb it with a wide toothed comb before my shower to get any tangles and loose hairs out of the way. Then I shampoo, focusing on my roots and getting rid of build up, and I condition from the ends up. I only use warm water on my hair because sometimes when the water is too hot it can cause frizz. I dry with a cotton T-shirt or an old cami, sometimes I wrap it if I want slightly tamed waves, instead of a full mane. Otherwise I do what you do and just gently get the excess water out. I let it hang out while I apply my moisturizer and lotion and then I come back to hair with a mixture of curl cream and conditioning/heat protection spray, flipping my hair forward and scrunching the producing in to add a little volume up top, then I flip it from one side to the other to finish scrunching. Once it’s parted and basically in the position that I like, I use a finishing spray on it. It doesn’t leave the hair crunchy or wet looking, it just kinda helps fight humidity and it locks my curls in place.

Kesiaboricua: We have the same type of hair! Mine is short too. I cut it last year cause i've had it long forever and got tired. Thanks for the update
