Hey guys Welcome back to my channel today, im going to show you how to fishtail braid your own hair step by step for beginners., Remember to subscribe and like this video, if you find it helpful and let’s get into it. The first step is to split your hair into 2 equal sections.. I grab the right strand like this, and then you can grab the left strand with your thumb and indexfinger. That way, your left hand is free to work with. And for the left strand, I hold it. The exact same so my right hand is free., Then hold the strands in your right hand and grab a small section of hair from the left. Strand. Then take the small section of hair and cross it over and add it to the right. Strand. Then hold the strands in your left hand and grab a small section of hair from the right. Strand. Then take the small section of hair and cross it over and add it to the left. Strand. Again hold all the strands in your right hand and grab a small section of hair from the left. Strand. Then cross the new hair over and add it to the right. Strand. Then take a small section from the right strand and cross it over to the left strand., And I try to keep the hair as tight as I can, because you can always loosen the braid up at the end. So I hold my hands as close to the braid, as I can to help that out. Again grab a small section from the left strand and cross it over to the right. Strand. Then take a small section from the right strand and cross it over to the left. Strand. Again grab a small section from the left strand and cross it over to the right strand.. So now you just have to continue those steps until you can’t reach further down your back.. So when you can’t reach further down your back, pull the braid out to one side and continue the braid until you reach the end of the hair. And step is easier to do in front of a mirror. So you can see if you miss any hair or some hair is sticking out.. When you braid on the side of your face, you can lock the hair into place by pinching the hair, with your thumb and indexfinger in the middle of the braid, where the small sections crosses at the top.. When you get to the end of the hair, then take a small elastic and tie the braid of, and I will leave a link to the once im using down. Below. Now, pull in the sides of the hair to loosen up the braid and make it look. Like you want it too, but don’t pull too much in the braid, as it will loosen up through out the day.. If there is any small hair that you missed - or there is some weird piece of hair in the wrong place, then pull them out and pin them up behind the braid and hide them.. So that is how to fishtail braid your own hair for beginners, and I really hope you liked this video and found it helpful. If you did, please give the video a thumbs up and remember to subscribe and click the notification bell, so you never miss a new hairstyle.. Thank you for watching, and I will see you guys in my next video D.

Toasty: Hiii, i just wanted to say thank you so much for your tutorials. Until maybe a month ago the only braid i could do was a wonky nameless braid a friend taught me when i was in the fifth grade! but then i was looking up how to do a dutch braid and i found your tutorial on that and after 2 failed attempts i managed to do it and it was wonderful and i've done it 3 more times since and every time i get a better handle of it so today i decided to try something new and i've always wanted to have a fishtail braid so first thing i did was check if you had a tutorial for it and it turns out you did yaay and i tried this and in 10 minutes i got something distinctly fishtail-like! It's a bit wonky and it doesn't "pop" because i have very dark hair, but i'm happy with it and i just wanted to say thanks. I really appreciate how you go step by step from he very beginning telling us how to hold our hair and where to put our hands and don't fast forward after a brief explanation like some other tutorials i've seen! so yeah thanks a lot, i can't wait to try another one of your tutorials! I think i'll try the french braid next :D
