How'D you get your hair to flip up in the front like these tick-tock errs or other people on Instagram or so have their hairstyles. I'Ve been just getting bombarded with DMS and questions asking me. How do I get to flip up and even though I've done videos on those people, I guess it's still a big mystery. So in today's video, I'm gon na show you some really cool helpful tips on how to get this part of your hair. To still be long, but also have to have it like flip up a little bit like this, so the first thing I'm going to do - and I mean this is all real time here, so you guys can see. I just want to wet this down a little bit, so if your hair is wet or damp, this will be best. The key again is really this part you're not trying to flip all this up. It just seems like a lot of you, want to have that nice haircut, but just this part here to flip and move, and it's it's actually pretty simple. Now I'm going to use a little bit of my tidal wave sea salt spray, which has become like my number one selling products, definitely great for adding that texture in the hair. Only maybe you know two or three spritzes and that's it. You are going to need a blow-dryer, I'm sorry for those people who don't use blow dryers or whatever, but you really need a blow dryer to do this. Okay, so we have the front a little bit damp here. Now all I'm going to do and I'm gon na start this on low heat right now. I'M sorry on lows on lower air speed and the key is, is to manipulate the hair. So you want this coming down, but you also want this going forward. So the first thing you want to do is blow dry. Obviously, the top part of your hair. This way and just use your fingers, okay and I'm hoping you guys - can hear me. Okay, just use your fingers and work the hair into the direction that you want. This part to go, which is most likely gown so now it's time to completely change the way, we're going to blow-dry it, and I'm gon na put this on higher speed and just watch along all right. So now what we've done without using a hot tool or a hot like iron, which a lot of these guys end up using what we've done is we've created our own little flips like so then you can go back in and you can tweak it. However, you like, but the key is, as you see into here, is to really get the hair to come forward and then flip up this way and the way I did this is simply by just taking my hands and blow-drying the hair forward, but using my hands As a cup to kind of get this to stick up, as you can see like we did in through here now, who is this gon na work, for how is this really going to work and does it work for all haircuts and look so you won't see What we did here, we've got like that: messy look and the more you kind of play around with this and get your hands in there and shake it up. That'S what all these guys do you notice they bring her hair forward and then they go down like this alright and there it is so what you need to really do is is practice and play around with this, and you need to set this with. Maybe a little bit of hairspray all right. Will your hair hold up like this, for like nine hours - I don't know it may or may not, but what you really also do need is a proper haircut, because if this is all one length and it's not layered, it's gon na be very difficult to kind Of manipulate this hair, you know it's, it's not the easiest, because the hair may split right. It may do all sorts of crazy stuff, as you can see into here, and it's just gon na weigh it down. So you need to have some sort of layering in through here and the length. I'D say this is a good length down through here. You could probably cut this a little bit shorter, but if not you know you still be able to kind of get this. So it's back pull it forward like that and you're gon na get some of the flips and when you blow dry it blow dry it down like this and lock your fingers in and blow it around obviously be careful out to burn your fingers or you can Just put your hand here and blow the hair against your hand, to create that little flip in that little wave run your fingers to it and then, as is like, I mentioned before, a lot of these guys. They brushed our hair back and then they they'll bring it forward. So it's back like this and then forward back and then forward like this and as you can see, because the hair is a little bit longer and through here it may have a tendency to want to part like this. That'S why, when you first blow-dry this, it's really important that you blow-dry this forward and get it in the shape you want it and also you know your hair needs to be fairly straight for this to work. In my opinion, please please please let me know if you try this little hair trick and hair hack out, because if I could do Hana manikin, you could probably do it on yourself. But let me know if you tried it and you had that like wow moment like oh my gosh Steven, that really worked. Thank you so much I'd love to know. Thank you guys. So much for watching stay, safe, don't forget to Like comment and subscribe and I'll see you next time for more videos with ass long

Musique3579: Wonderful. This has been driving me nuts, not as if I already am to begin with. So often, the most simple can elude just about everybody. Well today, and done in his usual masterly way, Steve reveals it all, and done so gentle on the hair compared to Curling Irons. (Just bought one of those and it was flickering and dimming the lights.) Good thing I never used it to my hair. (On its way back to Walmart.) Steve saves the day! :-)
Eggium: “You’re going to need a blow dryer” **stares at leaf blower**
Aaron Ramirez: Lmao my hair naturally does this sometimes but I wanted to know how to consistently do it thank you!
Carson Henderson: Seeing that he has no head hair reminds me of red skull from infinity war “I guide others to a treasure I cannot possess“
XXIV: I like how it seems like almost half of the haircuts he does he doesn’t even like
Tom_idk: I do this quite often I just love messy hairstyles soo much. Today I cut my hair like way shorter it’s now that messy short look definitely recommend this if you don’t have much volume but still want to have a messy look
Wavy Dane: If he treated my hair the way how he treated this mannequin i'd have no hair left at the end of it lmao
Vincent Lui: Easily the best stylist on youtube.
Joseph Velasquez: Been looking for this tutorial for months and found nothing but this. THANK YOU!
— DatRandimTho: I needed this my hair got to long since it’s really thin it showed my 8 head even more and this made it look more full thanks man
Pasha Namir: I just tried this my hair is a little short and I’m missing the hair spray right now but for all intensive purposes it worked. Going to try and grow it a little bit more and get to a hair spray and see how it really works. Thank you so much!
tasev brat: thank you so much dude ive been trying to get this look for months❤️
Trent: Hi my name is Trent, love your videos there so entertaining. Also had one quick question I have middle part aka Eboy hairstyle but the ends always curve in towards my face, so I’m the opposite direction. Obviously I need them to curve out, just curious if you have any advice thank you and have a awesome day!!
xkryptii on twitch: Hey Steve! Love ur videos. I make tiktoks and my hair is really straight. I tried sea salt spray and doing this and it doesn’t look “full” enough it’s like it thins out and then goes flat. Tried some powder spray and it’s just too tacky feeling and doesn’t even flip. Need some insight on the products maybe? My barber layered my hair like Tayler Holder’s but it’s not as long but my hair in front goes about 1/4” past my eyebrows. Any help and advice would be great and I will order any suggested products that YOU sell for support cuz ur awesome.
Jake Sonntag: Hey I just wanted to give you some insight in to how to actually achieve this. I spoke to some of the guys and what they do is curl the very front with a curling iron. It’s not done with a blow dryer. Doubt it with a blow dryer doesn’t stick, it will lay flat after a couple minutes at best.
ToxicFox Trace Witham: I tried it and it worked perfectly, thanks man
San Lorenzo Mexico: thank you. finally someone explains this well
jdeanoo: Hi Steve, I have much thicker hair, it seems to dry very quickly into a bundle which is very hard to style. Do you have any tips, I get my barber to thin out my hair but doesn’t work as it’s thick again after 3-4 days. Thanks mate
tr0psi: Thanks for the great tutorial, it did help a lot!
Surya Kiran: I used to get this naturally when my hair was short and I hated it. never knew it was a fashion now
Manu Preciados: from my experience this hairstyle is bad for windy days and hot days, it makes you sweat a lot.
gd123lbp: I have wavy/bording on curly hair at the front and it just does this naturally when i wake up haha its more of a rounded flip up shape than this but near enough
Danny Harris: How long will it take for my hair to grow this long? It's been 2 months and not much progress
Joseph Emerson: What type of haircut should we ask for (like specific commands) to be able to pull off this look properly?
Lexi Hargrove: Thoughts on egg hair masks and how often they’re okay to do?
BlandChimera: How do you get your hair to stay like that? I have been trying gel and spray. Any other things I should try?
Euan Elliott: My late father used to dry his hair forwards like Bully Beef from The Dandy comic and then Brylcreem it back. It worked everytime.
FixE x Thorson: Thanks you're so helpful!
Thomas Strathopolous: I do this in a way easier way, what u do put ur hand flat against ur forehead and move up taking all the hair in the front up keeping a flat hand push it back firmly against the top of ur head and then slide back down creating a ton of those “flips”
Collin Dietrick: I've been doing this for a long time but it doesn't stay "flippy" for long it end up just going that direction but laying down
dclnnn: Ik im super late but does anyone know if my hair will eventually “memorize,” whatever its called, this position and it’ll stay through the day?
keviinvanhove: -me perfectly getting my hair to be like this wind: i'ma ruin this man's whole career
zachfye: How long does it stay like this?
Obi-Wan Kenobi: for those not wanting to do this, which i honestly wasn't expecting by clicking on this video, i only clicked on it because i was like "oh, hes showing how to get my hair". when you're out of the shower, assuming you use a towel to dry your hair, dry it about 75% (obviously you can't know what percentage of dry ur hair is that makes no sense, basically just still somewhat damp) and then just use your hand and fingers to run ur hand through ur hair in an upwards motion and let it fall. repeat this, and keep doing it as ur hair slowly dries into place and you will get a lift at the front. obviously a pretty decent fringe is required for this.
Jaden Zhong: Absolutely Works
Wolfe Subliminals: Will this damage my hair if i do this everyday?
God Man: I think the hair was too short for this I personally have longer hair and I never had to use product or blow dry I just towel dry out of the shower with pushing it up from time to time and it ends up fluffy and perfect like what he is trying to do
Nixon: That helped me so much
Colton Buckley: My hair does this naturally. It's kinda obnoxious to be honest lol
Chris Villanueva: Does the hair flip naturally on the sides if it does not could you teach us “how to...” ?
Cameron: Hello! I'd love to know how I'd get from short, 'girl' hair to the front. I'm transgender and I really want this hair style. Please help.
GIU: that's the quietest blow drier I've ever heard lmao! Great tutorial <3
Nicholas francisco del Moral fernandez: I Will use your tutorial for the mornings keep it up you are great
WSTN: I do everything in the video but my hair doesn’t really change it is still somewhat straight and to the side. Is it because my hair does not have layers or what do I do.
Chrith: Do you have to have a certain type of hairstyle for this. My hair is really straight and thick.
Sɪʟᴇɴᴛꕥᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇss: I just got a haircut and realized my bangs are way to long for this and I can’t cut them or I’ll ruin them lmao
Dreammagicyt: It worked really well
rooklumin: you could get more views if you put "guys tiktok hair flip" or some variant of tiktok in your title
hunthomson: how long should my hair stay like this?
Cast Zen: Did this with no blow drying and it worked
zenny £: i have a hairline on the middle that pretty much makes my hair go 2 different ways. is there a way to get rid of that and make it look like the doll at the beginning?
Austin Cannata: Can you do this even with a receding hairline/ widow peek
Kazzo: I did it It worked I just subscibed Thank you
Isaac Valdez: I use a curly iron it works as good or even better. And just brush it out with your fingers to make it look messy
H K: My hair does this all the time naturally even when i towel dry it
uhh: my hair wont stay like this after a few hours it stops being fluffy and goes flat and dull ); any tips?
Cesar Tome: Can someone help me cause I have straight hair but when I flat it down the front top of my hair creates a curve it goes up can someone tell me how to get rid of this
DexterX0: “they push their hair back-” *takes head off*
lucid Avalore: guys does anyone know why when I try to flip a part of my hair it comes out very thin with no volume texture or what so ever
ilovemycat: My hair just does it naturally lol
Ryan Mottola: What if the hair dryer isn’t as powerful?
Arif Iskandar: Thanks for the tutorial man! Btw I hve natural wavy hair
Justen Barocio: It worked thank you
Lil Peep: If my hair is down to my lips is it too long to do this?
Frezco Bbaby: I do it without a blow dryer and let my hair dry in the summer cuz I got the master tactics

GerryThePilot: I wish I could get a haircut from you
SERINAUT: Worked and it looks better than I expected it to, thanks
Nagni: Can blow drying lead to hair loss?
O O O: If you mix it with gel and water you dont need to use heat
sebastian primera: does it work for thin hair?
Zach Wear: Very helpful
Waco Bayless: Wouldn't a round brush be easier than using your hand?
Aniket Singh: How to make that hairstyle hold up for a period of time, like when you’re in a party
Diegoistheone4u: Can you do this with thin hair?
ToTheMax: Lol i have curls/flat hair, and have this from myself
Pink Sunoo: Am I weird for not wanting my hair to do this? It does it naturally and it kinda annoys me so I came here to see if I'm doing any of this and to stop it-
act1q: i only have to go with my hand like once or twice through my hair and it looks like that lmao
Revive Me I have the Ray Gun: If your hair is thick enough it just does that on it's own
Aight Bet: great tutorial, just wondering if this would work with an undercut?
FlyingTele18: You only need the sea salt spray to get the texture!??
desi: I just use sea salt spray and get roughly the same result
Avix TL: My hair does that and I’m trying to get it straight
Andrew Foster: Is there a way to do it with no blow dryer
Miguel Bernardino: My hair is hella straight and stubborn to stay flat and fall down how do i fix that
Vince Thomas: Mine does it automatically
Carmen Georgakis: I’m gonna try it when my hair grows out more
That Chocky Milk: Is it just me, but when ever I look at that mannequin I keep thinking about all the people who sacrificed their hair for that…
