What'S good everybody and welcome back or to the channel if you are new and in that case hi i'm mel, you can consider me your main girl and you can consider this channel a healthy and curly hair club, where we share new videos each and every texture, Tuesday, but sometimes more, today's video could not wait. I have some incredibly exciting news to share as someone on the 2020 sephora squad, i am my partner with sephora and sephora just launched something huge and something that i am extremely excited about. Orbe, hair care has just, and my ad finally launched at sephora and today we're going to be doing a first impressions of some of the products from the moisture and control collection on my curls. So without further ado, let's get into it. But i'm like scared to open this packaging because it is stunning this is so luxury i'm keeping these boxes forever anyway. We'Re gon na finally get right into this with the first product that i'm going to be trying out and reviewing on my own hair and just for some context. I keep saying finally because orbe launching at sephora is probably, if not the biggest haircare launch at sephora. This year, in fact, i have it on good authority, it was the top searched hair brand and now it's finally available there. This is huge - and this is also huge - the first product we're going to be getting into is the moisture and control deep treatment mask. Not only is this launch big, but this thing is bigger than my face. Almost i have a big face, but this deep treatment mask its mask. You que is a 8.5 fluid ounces, container or 250 milliliters and, as per the description on the box using this would be treating your curls right. This is an ultimate moisturizing mask with coconut and almond oils that quenches thirsty, curls and prevents breakage, while repairing damage, and the only way that i could describe this smell is luxury. Let'S get a word count going on. How many times am i going to say luxury throughout this video, because that's what this hair care collection is? This is gold and she is solid like gold. This thing is thick now, let's put it to the test on my curls, my hair has already been washed, but not conditioned, so i need this now. You know nothing goes to waste here, so i'm going to use the product. That'S on the lid okay, so immediately upon application, this mask is so thick but silky at the same time, and my curls are just drinking this up, it feels really nice to distribute throughout my hair, and i only used a small amount for healthy looking hair and Especially for curls, one of the most key elements for achieving moisture and control as per this collection, but also in a curly style, is by properly treating and prepping the hair. And let me just say this mask so far is definitely feeling like a treat for my curls. So now i'm going to follow the instructions and leave this on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing. As i just let this sit in my hair, something you should know about the orbe, moisture and control collection, which i really appreciate, is all of the products our color and keratin treatments safe. They also provide uv protection for hair, are vegan cruelty, free and gluten, free dermatologists tested and formulated without parabens, sulfate or sodium chloride, and this box is sourced from well-managed forests and printed with plant-based ink and is recyclable. I love that they put that on there, but it's really hilarious that they think i'm gon na recycle this i'm gon na be keeping this forever. It'S stunning look at the details. I'M sorry moving on i'm going to give my hair a rinse and then we're going to get into the details of these styling products coming right up i'll, be right, back hello, okay, right off the bat almost instantly, or i guess after a little over 10 minutes. My hair does feel very nice. It definitely feels silky. My strands do not feel coarse. They just feel softened very moisturized. Now, if the rest of the moisture and control collection is anything like that mask, then they are also going to be extremely rich and moisturizing, not like rich but also rich, but thick and rich. Let'S see if this is true to prepare my hair for styling, i'm going to be taking the priming lotion, which is a leave-in conditioning detangler. This product comes with a little push cap and is a squeeze bottle and let's just take a look at this consistency. Oh yes, oh yes, it is not too thick, but also not too runny. It is very silky, very silky and can i just say luxurious yet again and i feel like this one has a slightly different smell to it. Although they are scented, it's very faint. It'S a very light smell, not overpowering at all. So let's um i've already started start applying this into my hair. Before it gets dried, you see how much i added there. That was maybe a little more than a quarter size amount. I'M going to brush this through. My hair and then determine if i need to add any more because i do not want to overdo it, because i, like a lot of volume in my curls and our volume can be hindered when our hair is extremely moisturized and controlled. So i'm gon na be going slow, let's brush this through. Yes, this is just literally silk and butter in my hair. So far, both my brush and my fingers can just slip right through my hair. This is going to provide a lot of ease while i'm styling, and so on that note it's definitely doing its job of being a detangler. Now i'm going to give this a second and let's take a look at what makes this detangler so fancy, so this ultra hydrating formula has kapuaku and mango seed, butters, four healthy and beautiful curls that are prepped for styling. Indeed, this is our prep product and we're gon na get into the curl, defining and holding products in a moment, but just to point out some other key ingredients. I'M seeing on the ingredient list here. This leave-in conditioner is very rich in glycerin, a very effective humectant. At bringing water into our strands - and it is also rich in oils - like olive oil, avocado oil, jojoba seed oil and down the list - i also see that it contains hydrolyzed pea protein. That does appear to be the only protein in this ingredient list. For the most part, this just feels very, very moisturizing, but it does have a little bit of that balance with protein ingredients, which of course, is also very repairing for the hair and i'm sure is protecting it throughout the styling process. Now, let's go ahead and start doing that, shall we we have got a curl cream here that i have actually used before, just not on myself. If you didn't already know, i'm a hair, stylist and one of the salons that i used to work at carried the orbe collection, so i've had my fair share of playing around with our bay products on other people's hair. This is just really exciting for me to get into and actually what's really cool is. Sephora has also included anor bay salon finder on sephora.com back to the review before my hair dries this curl enhancing creme. Of course it's a creme because it's fancy and luxurious - it is a styling butter and butters are very, very rich. Very heavy can be very heavy, which is why a little bit goes a long way. I'M just going to take a very small amount at first just to feel the product in my hands. It'S really only a little bit thicker than the priming lotion, but it does contain shea butter, which is thicker than oils, which will also help to provide a lot of moisturization and sealing of your strands to prevent them from getting frizzy in things like humidity. I'M going to brush this product through my hair, as i always do to help distribute it everywhere, but i'm not going to style with the brush, because styling with a brush does help to define my curls. But i really want to see what this on its own. Without any added manipulation will look like on my hair, so i'm doing a good old rake and squeeze technique. I'M also doing this because this technique tends to give me more volume than if i'm using a styling brush and with the amount of moisture and control that i am automatically feeling in my hair. I do want to make sure that i still achieve volume we'll see if i do stay tuned, i made a mess of the cap. Even if i love my results, i don't know how often i'm going to be using this, because it's going to be going on. My shelves, this is going to be going on display it's our bae, for me, i'm adding a little bit of water to the styling cream because it is pretty thick and i feel like that's going to help me, distribute it through my hair, especially because my hair Is driest in my bangs, like all in this bang section, my hair is the blondest and my curls. There are the tightest they're tighter in my bangs than anywhere else, so they tend to be a lot drier again. I brush that through to distribute as well as smooth any frizz and flyaways, and even as my hair has dried a little bit, it's more on the damp side than soaking wet. The brush is just gliding right through silk. My hair is currently silk. It feels as luxurious as silk as well luxury alrighty. So far. This is what my wet results are. Looking like again, my hair literally feels like silk. It'S very buttery, very soft, and that can be a concern uh. I do want to make sure that my hair has enough hold, because a lot of moisture in my hair without hold can result in just sort of limp curls that don't necessarily hold their own, because they are so soft that they don't necessarily set in place. And that's why i have really high hopes and i really need this final product to hold its own. The last orbe product i will be trying out from the moisture and control collection. Is the curl jelly curl gelate? It'S got an accent, a goo, so fancy this product is for shine and definition. It is a silky hydrating, curl jelly that tames shapes and styles, making coils more manageable, with macadamia neem and apricot oils, she's a jelly all right that moisturize and detangle strings. This has such a beautiful, like earthy, scent it's refreshing and calming and luxurious all at the same time. So the curl jelly, just like the deep treatment mask, comes in this massive tub of 8.5 fluid ounces or 250 milliliters. Now you know nothing goes to waste here. So i'm going to use the product, that's on the lid, but just look at that little jelly consistency. It looks really goopy, but it feels really silky. Let'S see how it dries down. I'M going to just smooth this over my hair, i'm just going to take a little bit more because it's funny, although the products have a lot of oils and butters in their ingredients, lists which tend to be very emollient and reclusive kind of ingredients that help to Lock in moisture and smooth the cuticle, my hair seems to be absorbing them really well, it doesn't feel really product-y product e product d, very product d - it's not a word, but i feel like it's. The only word i can use in this sentence. It doesn't feel product-y, it doesn't feel like it has product build up, that's proper english. Now it is already starting to dry down with a little bit of hold. My hair is only damp at this point. I have now applied all of the styling products and i'm just going to do a little bit of scrunching, but i'm gon na let this dry and i'll be back with the results and my thoughts. Oh i'm back dried and oh my god. It is so fluffy right off the bat. I am pleasantly surprised and also relieved that i have so much volume even on this day, one because, as you saw, i really used minimal product instant replay, because just from the feel of these products i could tell a little bit would go a long way. They are definitely on the richer and heavier side, but oh my, my hair is like weightless right now. I feel like the curls look really soft and they also achieved a really nice natural definition. Again, i didn't manipulate my hair at all. I just kind of raked and squeezed and worked that product through my hair, because i wanted to see what it would do kind of naturally, and so far it just feels so soft. The curl jelly is definitely a lighter hold product, so my hair doesn't feel crunchy at all. You can tell it just looks really soft and fluffy. So, unlike what i usually do, i'm not going to add any oils to finish this off. These products did contain a lot of oils and a lot of butters already, and i truly want to see what just these products on their own will look like on my hair in a few days or for you a couple moments, all right, everybody. Finally, i am back sitting down here after a few days of wearing this hair. I want to talk about how my hair feels what i think of the products and just give my final recommendations now before i do any of that. Just a friendly reminder. All thoughts are my own here i have tried, tested and reviewed many products for you and as a professional stylist, it's my job to give you recommendations based on what hair types. I think that this would work best on, but first, let's talk about how i think it worked on my hair overall. This hair, which i've lived with for a few days now still looks really good, since they won. This hair has just been airy and fluffy and light and voluminous, which i am absolutely obsessed with and very, very pleased with, especially since again my concern with these products was. They are so rich that i was worried that they would weigh my hair down or not. Give me the volume i was really looking for, but they did not disappoint there. My hair feels like there is nothing in it, almost it's just so super lightweight and when i feel it, which i absolutely have been, i have been playing with my hair a lot. It'S hard not to even after taking a stroll in the cold after showering, with humidity, after sleeping on it, after tying it up after letting it back down after clipping it up, it is still so soft now, as for my curl definition, that is very soft as Well and my curls look really nice and natural and soft, i wouldn't say that they look perfect or extremely shiny or super done up, but they still look really nice and again they feel really nice, oh and the smell. I recall when i was styling. I mentioned how each of the products are beautifully scented, but they're, not a very strong overpowering smell on their own they're. Not, however, because i used a full lineup of orbe products, my hair definitely was very fragrant. It still is. It still smells very nice very luxury. This is this is funny, but my hair doesn't really smell like food, even though i've been cooking a lot, and that is a big thing, because a lot of curly hair products are very oil and butter based which tend to kind of hold on to scents. That are in the air. My hair doesn't really have that. It just smells like a faint reminder of the ore bay scent so overall for me, i am very satisfied with my results. I would use these products again. I will be rationing them, but if there's something that i really look forward to using like very soon, i think my favorite product was the moisture and control deep treatment mask. And let me tell you why i'm going to tell you why i like each of the products individually and kind of give you my final recommendations based on what your hair may need for me. My hair ate this product right up. I think this mask is truly fantastic. This is definitely a treat for the hair. If i really wanted to give myself or if i were to receive this as a gift, i would be eternally grateful and my hair would be too. It really was very moisturizing. It'S got a little bit of protein ingredients in there, nothing crazy. I do think that all hair types could benefit from this, especially if you're experiencing dry, hair and hair that gets dried out fast. If you are in extreme climates that needs extra love. This was fantastic and very fast, acting as well. It was just a 10 minute mask, but i think my hair has stayed so soft in good part because of this mask for sure. So i'm gon na have to hide this one. This one's gon na have to go in the vault. I look forward to using this again very soon now, moving on to the priming lotion, this leave-in conditioning detangler definitely detangled. It felt very, very nice and silky in the hair. This feels like a very versatile product. Like all hair types could use it. If you have very fine hair, you just want to use much less. If you have very thick hair, you could use more, but honestly, a little bit went a long way with this. My hair felt incredible and if you have really fine hair, i think you could just use this prepping product on its own, with one other styler. So of the two stylers that i used, we have the styling butter and the curl jelly. I almost feel like. I could have skipped the styling butter, because my hair is finer. It wasn't completely necessary for me to add even more cream when i already had the leave-in detangler, which did the job, but for someone with thicker and coarser hair. This is definitely a nice addition in your routine for extra styling and extra smoothing, because it is a very thick butter. It'S going to help to kind of weigh down and control the strands that tend to get pretty unruly, so it can definitely be a good addition. In your routine, it just wasn't necessary for me. I think i could have skipped out on the butter and just applied more of the curl jelly. For my hair, the curl jelly was the most surprising product, the consistency and the texture of it is really silky and smooth upon first application, like it just glides over the hair, which, after a few minutes, did dry down and add this little bit of a sticky Texture, but i wish i added more of this because it didn't have a lot of hold. I was expecting more hold, i'm not mad, because it gave me tons of volume. But if you are someone that likes a stronger hold just be aware that this is definitely more of a light hole gel that smells luxurious, smells amazing. They really all did and that's why i feel like i've got a fancy event and i want to smell fancy. This is the product line, i'm grabbing, for it's made me feel some type of way, and on that note i really think my favorite part about trying out this product line was my user experience, how i felt when i was using it in my hair, how my Hair feels now again, i feel like elevated, like this was really a luxurious treat for my hair. It'S been such an overall positive experience that i look forward to using again when i need that little uplifting, spa treatment. And finally, although this is a price to your hair care line, i feel like this is a really nice gift for yourself or someone else who wouldn't spend this much money on hair care products. But i can tell you they would be so happy to receive uh if anyone of my loved ones are watching this. Yes, i will take more hair products, you might think what does she need more hair?
