How was your hair after the last surprise? Oh, it was actually okay, um i'll, tell you how i ended up shrinking it, so i went for swimming with my friends and it was still so pressed and i think i had it in for like over a month. Okay yeah, so it lasted quite a while and then she's english, so she didn't know as soon as we got into the water it just slowly gradually. Like went like that, she was like, ah that's magic. Then i had someone who saw me later. I was like. Oh, i thought your hair was like this yesterday, yeah you're around a lot of white people. Aren'T you yeah quite a few ins in uni? Okay, so you twisted them together, yeah, i kind of yeah pretty like a little problem. Yes yeah so um. I know sometimes um some people take their time in terms of like reverting their hair, so they slowly just spray water or something just to give it keep the kels in. But it still looks nice, maybe for a while and then it's like afro um before they actually like give it a proper wash yeah. They don't just go straight into reversing yeah. Did you do? Oh? No. You don't want to want to do that. Another time, maybe maybe this time yeah so did you find that after you, when you washed it, your hair was completely back to normal yeah, yeah yeah yeah. Absolutely it was still okay, it's still the same texture. I didn't think that you tried, i didn't know um. I think i did quite low heat for you yeah, because i know that was something you was um worried about yeah, but my hair is still okay, that's good. It hasn't changed at all. I think. The last time someone saw my hair, like oh, your hair is still so healthy. Yes, yeah and you have a good routine, which helps as well yeah yeah. I don't think it felt dry, although i did do a deep, deep, uh conditioning yeah because he did say i should um try. You mean after when you washed it yeah yeah, especially because you went in the pool yeah, i think yeah the chlorine will do yeah. I have to wash my hair all the time yeah yeah i was like. I can't do with this. It'S just too much work for me, so i got a proper cap and uh yeah and i haven't actually swam after that for a while, okay um, i couldn't do it. I don't know your hair is deceiving. Why? Because i remember the amount yeah yeah, but you know when it's like this: it's like there's nothing there as soon as the water touches it it grows. It just grows so yeah. Now i've got a proper like hair cap swimming cap because i, like swimming um, do you use one that goes over your ear? Well, it seems like it should go over the ear yeah, because then it will flat out like cover all the corners, but then also the thing is most of the swimming cups are never actually they're, not really good. They don't stop, they still yeah. They still. You still get a little bit of hair in in the water. Somebody needs to invent a swimming cap that is tight enough. That'S tight enough to not get into the hair. Absolutely that's what i think too um, but anyway, that would be. I don't know it won't. Be me you, oh, i don't think i see myself designing those things. Yes, if someone especially is black owns everyone, you just be seeing all the black people at the swimming pool, because i know one of the reasons why i don't go swimming is because of my hair yeah. I can't even swim. Oh i take my daughter though she'll learn she'll, probably not get be happy. If you don't let her learn because then she'll in the future she'll be like i'm all my friends gon na swim. Why can't i swim yeah, but i had to teach myself how to do it. Yeah yeah taught yourself yeah. I had to teach myself how to swim. Well, i think water is not everyone's cup of tea. To be honest, no um a lot of fun, yeah, there's some people that, just when i go to the beach, i don't i just abouts. You worry about jellyfishes and the crabs. I swim in the sea. Sometimes yeah in eastbourne we've got the sea. Does it get warm like that yeah we've got days when the water is really warm, usually in the summer, okay um, it can't get very warm and because the summer it can go as as far as like 33 degrees, um and then what the water itself? No. No, the weather and the water not cold, but like look warm okay, so you can swim and we've got days when it's like really clear water and proper sand, because the water goes a bit further in mm-hmm, deep, the water, no okay, no, but you could go Further, if you wanted to feel like you're, actually in a proper pool - and it's still okay, because there's so many people on the sea at that time. Okay, there are people sailing people, boats, riding people yeah, so literally you're, safe and most people will see. What'S going on yeah, it's okay, oh yeah! I do so when they see the only problem is the salt. So oh, is it for the hair and it's not good and i've got dry skin. So i have to be careful yeah. Of course, i don't um end up staying for too long yeah, but yeah, it's nice, it's nice! The only thing is people keep saying: oh jellyfishes are going to sting. You are there jellyfish in that that um? Well, there are some moments when people have said they've been stung, but it hasn't happened to me. So i was gon na say i thought fishes can't survive in salty water. Well, now is the sea, the sea yeah, but it's salty, though yeah it is salty. No. I'Ve heard it so i don't know where no, that fish is in the sea. We get micro like um, that sea yeah, you know um around the pandemic time. There was this moment where we had a very bad storm, yeah and everything there were so many macros at the sea front like paddling swimming all. So usually they come to the shore to feed um around that time, because there's like migration of fishes and things like that and they come and like lay their eggs at the shore so that the little herrings and stuff i don't know what they call them. So people just go and you could just go and scoop like that. Oh wow, you've literally used it yeah yeah. I usually do sometimes three weeks four kicks. I try not to um manipulate my hair too much yeah um because of time as well as when i'm busy with university. I don't actually have time because of the length of my hair. It can't take it. It takes a little bit in the bathroom. Yes, yeah, of course, or do you stand up when you're washing your hair? Yes, so i'm in the bathroom standing and taking my time watching one section at a time: yeah! Oh my word yeah, so i try to do it when i can and i have to take a whole day off like just for that to take my time and do everything i try and make it feel like a vacation and um yeah. At the same time, i'll have something nice to eat, make sure um. You know snacks on my side by my side when i'm blow drying or braiding it after washing. I really try and relax and you take a lot of breaks. Isn'T it yeah yeah? But do you find it quite therapeutic doing your hair? Yes, because as soon as i'm done, i need i need to sleep so there's so many things going on on that head that day, yeah yeah that when you're done you feel so relaxed. You just want to fall asleep, yeah um, so it is therapeutic. Definitely, oh! So now. What i do is i wash with tea gel because of the dandruff that i have. I use the shampoo and plus conditioners and then i kind of use a regular garnier conditioner as well after that yep and i, but i don't go onto my scalp. Just the body doesn't fill it up yeah. How are you finding the tea gel shampoo? Actually, it's really good yeah, it's really really good yeah um and you use it once and it's done the job you don't have to like put too many yeah too much. I mean it really really cleans dandruff from the scalp, and the two in one version is really good because it doesn't dry out the hair that brown one. Oh, my god, yeah that one is very it's more effective, but i'd say use that one once in a while, if or if your scalp gets really really bad yeah see as medication for your scalp rather than daily shampoo yeah. And then, if i'm doing a deep conditioner, i will use the garnier mask yep and then for moisturizing the mask as well, but i kind of mix it with a bit of water yeah, because it's too thick okay like it doesn't it doesn't um your hair, doesn't Absorb it or my hair does absorb it. It'S just. I feel that's how the buildup starts. Okay, it comes too much and then yeah. So i kind of add just a little bit amount of water to use, loosen it up a bit yeah and then i use um shea butter and rosemary oil yeah for my oiling yeah to seal it. That'S what i do so for moisturizer. I use the leave-in from the garnier, it's like oh yeah, and then i see that hair food range, the garnier. Okay, that's one, the banana one. Yes, that's the one papaya they have all the different, yes, okay and then um after that. I used shea butter, yeah and um rosemary oil. You keep it simple yeah because i realized you know the products, the money in this waste of money. There'S so many things out there for you now. Also you don't need everything in your hair. It'S like it's simple. Exactly so, and once you find what works? That'S it stick to it with youtube and stuff there's so many like there's trends, there's so many trends and products who can be a bit confusing, there's always something that they're going to recommend to you or more. So that's what i use okay and i think the last time i just went into my like hair drawer, yeah and just got rid of so many stuff like i don't need this. I don't do that. I don't know that i don't even use this yeah. I just like, through everything i went very brutal and through everything yeah out, if i'm not using it, you're, not saying yep, so yeah try and keep it simple. Now, i'm just trying to break down the oil from your hair: oh okay, okay, yeah, so so business i'll definitely be casting my hair when i'm young, when i'm um older, like maybe in my you know, 60s uh like a pixie, okay kind of cut and maybe Die if i want to, i don't feel like you could do it now. Oh i'm not full, but why were you 60 what's going to change when you're 60? Well, it kind of helped me gradually ease into the gray. Oh, is that what you said? Hmm, so so so hmm, this is like nice yeah, because i think when i finish washing, i could still see yeah, but there's still a little bit more in there. How many washes do you normally do um twice like two okay, so every section i wash twice before, i actually do condition yeah yeah, because i want to make sure that i've actually washed it so so so i'm definitely not doing any studying today, i'm sleeping so So do do so, hmm, so so so so so so, oh look at the cows, so i can only do um leave my hair like this, for like um a few minutes. You said a few minutes because any longer and i'm going to be like a frisbee, you know it's funny, because when i opened your hair i was thinking about wash and go yeah, and then i was like it looks nice only for, like you know, yeah you'd Have to put a lot of gel and a lot of mousse do so so hmm um! So oh you huh huh food um um! Do hmm um uh, hmm uh huh! Oh now you! Oh you! Oh! Do you?

Giselle M: I picked up a tip from you.. putting the shower cap while blow drying other sections is genius. Having to re-wet the hair throughout is something I can now eliminate. Little suggestion if I may.. using the hot comb on roots could be eliminated if the roots are the very first thing you blow dry flat down to scalp. The whole perimeter of her head is the very first thing I blow dry flat down all around right from the sink, so they don’t dry curly/kinky. Then I go into blow drying section by section after.
