Okay, we're getting serious now guys welcome back to my second that was really really creepy. Welcome back to my second curly girl method. Video, a few months ago, i filmed my first attempt at having curly hair, maintaining curly hair and just embracing my natural wave. I used the word curly incorrectly because i don't really have curly hair. I have wavy hair and since that video i've been in a deep dive, a deep tick, tock dive, instagram real dive, youtube, vlog, dive blog dive. Even and i've done a lot of research into said, curly girl method - and it's kind of brought me to this realization that i don't really need to do the curly girl method per se. I just need to kind of work with my own hair and um pave my own way in this crazy wavy world. If you aren't familiar with what i'm talking about, i suggest you go back and watch this video up here. I will link it in a card. My curly girl method attempt number one and since that, i've done a lot of research into like different hair types and there's this grid. I'M gon na put it up on the screen here and you have to determine where, on the grid you fall. I believe i'm a 2b, i'm pretty sure, like i've, really picked the wrong morning to start this vlog, because i've literally sleeped my hair back with gel and hairspray, because two days ago i tried my other attempt at a curly girl method technique and i ended up Looking like cruella de vil, if she got stuck in a storm like a hurricane aka einstein mixed with a little bit of hagrid and hermione it, it wasn't cute. So this morning i wet it. I slipped it back because you did not want to see what was on my head today in an attempt to embrace my natural wave and like not use heat and build up the volume and the overall health of my hair and my scalp. I'M going to try to embrace my wavy hair for the next few weeks and not use heat on it. Well, i mean like if i've got to go somewhere. I have to use like my ghd and stuff for like events, but if i'm just chilling at home it's time for some wavy hair, so i went crazy online. I was gon na go to the store, but, like i just like i hate, i hate shopping in stores, i'm just like such an online shopper these days, none of this is sponsored. I went crazy by myself and look. They gave me a tim tam, probably because i spent so much. This was i'm gon na say a hundred dollars, but i want to show you some random things i bought. I got this from a store called. I think it's adore beauty. It was honestly the first one that came up on google. I was just gon na buy a diffuser and that's the website that came up. So that's where i bought from so first thing that i bought was a diffuser for my hairdryer, so the hair dryer. I use is a parlux, something something one of my old hairdressers told me to get it, and i did and it's great and i don't really use it because my hair is like look at that bun. It is smaller than an egg. It is like a quail egg. I don't think i've ever seen a quail egg, but i can imagine it and i'm pretty sure it's the size of my bun, probably bigger than my bun. So i don't really use my hair dry very much because my hair dries in like a second, because there's not much of it and it's really dry. But this apparently, when you do like your scrunch method with your curls, then you you diffuse it and it helps keep it up and bouncy. So i bought this attachment. Let'S hope that it fits then i swear. This is a smaller bottle than my original. I'M gon na say i've had like four bottles of this. I feel like i used too much for my hair because, like i said, i have like three strands of hair, so why am i going through a bottle? I don't know i'm definitely using too much, but this is olaplex number three. It'S basically like a mask that you put on your hair for at least 30 minutes before shampooing, so like literally right now with product in my hair, you would wet your hair, put it on leave it for as long as possible and shampoo and condition it off. So this is supposed to rebuild and strengthen my hair, says, repairs and strengthen. I was wondering why she was so affordable, avida, aveda, evita, it's not a super affordable brand. I would say they're more on the expensive side of hair care, but i do love their products. I feel like when you use it you're like i get it, i get it you're, expensive, you're, bougie, and i saw this on the website and i was like twelve dollars like yes. This is why this is good. This is going to be a nice tester. I have this gel here. It'S like the schwarzkopf ballerina gel like if you were a dancer in 2002 like this, is the gel that you had. This is the gel that i have it's fine, but i don't know what to compare it to, because i've never had another gel. So i got this be curly, curl enhancer. Is this not gel smooth generously on damp hair? This isn't gel okay. This is a curl definer and a d frizzer. This is the cream. Surely i got a gel? Did i get a gel? I got another cream when i went on insta story and said i'm going to try the curly girl method. Again, a lot of people recommended this brand nak hair, and this is the curls cream. It'S vegan. It says it defines curls and tames frizz. That'S what i need, because my hair is so fine. It gets really really frizzy. I'M excited my hair loves aloe vera. Like a lot of dry girls dry girls, if you have dry hair, i'm sure your hair probably loves aloe vera. This has coconut oil, aloe vera, rice, protein and pear extract. I'M really excited to try this one. Let'S smell it. Oh, oh of course it's a cream. I don't know why i was expecting it to be a gel. Oh, that smells yummy. Yes, yes, and it's from aveda. Oh this would have been expensive. This is a big bottle of liquid gel medium hold and definition for fine to medium hair. That is great. Did i buy this? Ah, i did buy this. Do you love when, like you online shop, and you totally forget about it or you forget what you bought, because it's like a random sport, you presents because you don't remember, i bought another dry brush because i really need to get back into doing it. But my other one is moldy. Okay, so tonight we're going to reconvene together we're going to use some of these products, i'm going to try a different method. I just really enjoyed filming my last curly girl, vlog. You guys really enjoyed watching it and, like i said i've been in this deep wormhole, i should say: curl hole. I'Ve been in a wave hole of obsessing over people's vlogs about it and like talking about tips and tricks, 10 mistakes, people make with wavy hair. I'M just i'm obsessed okay, so i am going to feed your obsession. If you're like me and you're, really deep diving into this curly girl method world, i hope you enjoy. I will reconvene with you when i'm ready to wash this schwarzkopf out of my hair. I need to wash my hair right now. There are two reasons why i am desperate to wash my hair right now number one. My hair is so disgusting and it's like this is just a beautiful mixture of sweat, gel that lovely swirl swarovski gel yeah. I'Ve got swarovski gel. What do you have i'm over it? Okay, i do. I love the slick, look, but i'm ready to be curly. I said this in my last curly girl vlog. My goal for this is to look like a 90s mom. My mom. I want to look like my mum when i was two not gon na lie. The biggest incentive to wash my hair right now is to get into my next outfit of the day. Every now and then i see products on instagram like usually i'm like whatever and i just keep scrolling, but my house is freezing okay, so i came across this product. An influencer i follow was wearing it, and i was like i need that in my life i feel like i'm actually going to get a lot of wear out of it and i'm not gon na lie. I got one for kurt and two for fox as well. So, let's just start with mine, it just came in the mail and i'm so excited yes, people. I got an audi and i am too excited. We need to try it on right now. Oh my gosh. This is amazing. Like honestly, i am actually going to live in this, so we've got mommy's one. Let'S take my glasses off and it's got like this fluffy stuff in them. Okay, i feel, like everyone, has imagined sleeping on a cloud. I imagine that's what it would feel like like this. It'S got pockets. I have been tossing up whether to get an audi for so long. This is the best decision. I'Ve ever made kurt's gon na love it because number one he gets fomo, no matter what i get. He always wants one as well, so i got him this one because he loves tie dye and i thought it was like cool and surfy. So he has this one and then foxy not gon na lie. Fox was a hard one, because there's so many cute kid ones, but knowing fox and how obsessed he is with his dad, i'm not jealous. I got him a matching one, so him and dad can wear those together and then i also bought him this one, because i thought it was like so cute australian. They got little koalas and if you didn't know his favorite animal is koa. The koala tell me this: isn't the best birthday pack you've ever seen: it's not his birthday, but like he's gon na love, it he's gon na love it so tonight we're gon na wear these to bed. He'S gon na hold co-op. I'M gon na read him his cola book. I'M way too excited for this anyway. The reason that i'm now going to wash my hair is because, when i get out of the shower, i'm gon na put it on as, like. My pajamas they've, actually sponsored today's video woody and they have given me a discount code sarah30 and you get 30 off. Whatever woody you decide i'll link the ones that i picked below in the description box, but, like i said there are so many i was out of this one and avocado, but i don't regret it because pink just makes me so happy. So without further ado, the whole purpose of this video: let's get these looking like heather stevenson, 1992. step one. Let'S wash my hair, we're gon na. Do the maui, moisture shampoo. I actually first got sent this as a pr bundle years ago, and i really like it so this one i might use a little bit of the conditioner because i feel like if i just use this sometimes my hair is still a bit dry and stringy. So i might use a little bit of this and then yeah use the maui hair mask. This is the second time that i've purchased this and, i would say it's pretty affordable like it's just from priceline, it's not from a salon or any like crazy store. So this is just a hair mask. Let me have a shower and we'll reconvene once i've washed, my hair, not gon na lie. This is probably not the smartest thing to wear for this stage of the curly girl method. I should say that before i got out of the shower, i used the handheld shower head and i did like cold water over my hair, which was like not fun, but in everything i've read. It said it's really good for dry and brittle and damaged hair. Like me, because it seals in the moisture, so i did finish off with cold water now i got out with my hair sopping wet. So, as you can see it's in like these three little beautiful rats tails, i actually have an extra tropica gym towel, because this one is microfiber. So this is the kind of towel you want. I'M gon na lightly scrunch a tiny bit of water out because i still want there to be moisture in my hair. I normally use this curl enhancing smoothie, but i feel like it is way too thick for my hair. Like look how much hair i have like it's honestly, a rat's tail like i said before, i have thin fine strands and not a lot of it, so this is just like way too thick for my hair. I also think i'm allergic to it. So that's fun! Okay, do we either go for the b curly, curl, enhancer cream or the neck? I reckon we do this one just because, like i said earlier, it's like an expensive brand. I'M gon na do like a big blueberry. I'M making this up guys, i'm new to the wavy world, praying hands, see i've been watching the tutorials. I know what's going on, can you hear how there's still water in it is everyone cringing, as all the wavy girls like cringing, i'm gon na put more in later? Maybe am i no okay, wait we'll do a little bit more. Is that dumb? Oh, my gosh. Do you know what you guys are putting me off? You are putting me off when i'm like by myself. No one's watching me and you guys aren't putting pressure on me. I feel like i'm better, but i feel like yeah. I think i'm so nervous. I can't even do the caps on we're gon na squelch. It we're gon na squelch it together, so i'm just gon na grab the bottom of my hair and squish asmr squish it with the curl cream like have i got too much curl cream. I don't know my only concern all the time with this method is like i get my ratty beautiful, but this top part like. I want this to be curly like how do i loosen her? You know - maybe if i just like flick my head like how do you loosen up your scalp? Do you what i mean like i want to? Ah it's so annoying. Okay, it's loosening up! This is looking good. You know what this hood. I love you audi, but like alpha change, okay, we're back and a little bit more! Oh hello, hello! That'S what i'm gon na do whatever this is probably wrong with like they're looking good, i'm telling you if they stayed like that and then went dry like they would look awesome. Oh that's what i didn't do i didn't flick my hair okay. So this one is aveda aveda liquid gel, and this is the one that i am out of. It is a great gel. I can't knock it she's great, but i just want to try something different and i'm going to use quite a bit. Now. I'Ve read a lot well read. I have not read: i've watched a lot of people's vlogs. Oh, this is like fully liquidy where they've used different techniques, like some people have prayed it through. I feel like my hair is too wavy to do that, like i might flatten it out, so i am going to scrunch it lightly and then i'm going to go through. Okay, i will say the smell of this is very intense. I should say as well i'll show you in a second um. This is obviously what i'm doing externally to help my hair and like not using heat and not damage it. I'M going to try not to dye it as well. I'M going to go for more, like a belayage natural look internally at lunch time. Every day i've been taking two of the tropica hair complexes. They just came out with it and i have two bottles, so i'm keeping myself accountable and i want to finish the two bottles which is, i believe, if you take two a day. I believe that's two months so i've taken before and after pictures and everything. So hopefully i can tell you if it works in two months or if i see an improvement. This is going well like. I know you guys, probably can't tell and you're like. Oh, i look like cynthia angelica's toy cynthia like side by side yeah. That'S me like it looks really thin and scraggly at the moment, because it's wet i've done this enough times. Three that i know when it's gon na be a good hair day. Okay, i don't have any gel on the top. What do we do like? How do i get it off my head like get off? Look at that! That'S looking pretty good! This is a tester vlog. Okay. This is like for us to learn together. I'M not a pro if that wasn't obvious. Already like we're learning together, you can learn from my mistakes. Hopefully, there's not any in this okay, i'm gon na put my microfiber towel out like how do you plop and make the top nice? Let'S just plop for like 15 minutes, because my hair is so fine, it will probably dry honestly and then i think you tied at the back whatever like i said, this is only going to be on for like 15 minutes. While we do this, i didn't get to do anything like my skincare, routine or moisturize my legs and, like i moisturize my whole body with a shameless plug with my butter me up. I will link it in the description box, but i put this over my entire body: either the strawberry, vanilla or the coconut lime, every single shower like after every single shower. So i just like i hate the feeling when i get out. So, let's leave this: let's moisturize and i'll meet you back here in 9 minutes and 36 seconds. Okay, it's been 10 minutes. I feel like it was a little bit too long, like i kind of wanted to take it off, because i feel like it's like dried too much and when it dries too much and you have frizzy hair, it goes extra frizzy. So let's see looks pretty good. Actually, but still like this, like my only concern, is this gel, it says medium hold like do i want medium hold or do i want like? Oh, this is extra stronghold like look. This is four out of five. Let'S just give her a chance, it is currently 5 22. So i'm just okay, i'm gon na try not to touch it, and we will just see how long this takes to dry. I just i don't. I don't have good feelings about this section here at all. Maybe i should like flip her. I will reconvene with you guys whenever necessary fox. I got a present for you. Mommy'S got. Oh you love it whoa, that's so cool and daddy put his on and mommy put her. This is very big for you, mate yeah! It'S like a kid's one, not toddler. Okay, your hand through here it's a little puffy, but that's okay. Yours is cute. I'M gon na put one on i'll. Take my jumper off, so i can fit in tomorrow. Fox you look like dumbledore, you look. Amazing. Mommy put hers on yeah yeah, okay one's over here i'll go, get it wow. I can't wreck my hair. This is curly girl, vlog, oh geez. I know it's drying. Well, though, guys it's only been like 20 minutes. Since we last spoke. Is this fun mate? I can't believe he loves it, he loves it. Do you love it? Yes, yeah. You look like color you're, a wizard fox. You look like dumbledore. I can't stand that all right. You know what you're struggling a bit there mate. Do you need a hand? Okay, okay, yeah, oh golly me the things that dads have to do. I always go his toy room man like the way he walks with such authority in that coach. That was so cute. Oh, my goodness! Okay, let me just warn you don't judge it. I haven't scrunched and crunched: it's been three hours. I know it looks bad, but just maybe we need to move to the bathroom, i'm hiding upstairs because wow wow, we love fox but terrible twos, the most appropriate definition of a toddler. I'Ve ever heard he was crazy. It'S been eight nights, three hours of um, basically managing fox's tantrum, slash letting my hair dry. So it's pretty much dry. It'S just like this. Back crown bit, i would say, is a little bit damp, but i'm really impatient next step the step that really brings. This look together is the scrunch and crunch. So what we're going to do is i'm going to start with the roots, see how it's like kind of stuck to my head, i'm going to start with the roots, flick, my head upside down and just kind of shake. My roots out, i personally don't like to do this too intensely, because my hair can get really frizzy and i don't have any product in the roots, so i don't want it to be just like a frizz ball. Oh, this is gon na look good guys. I'M feeling good about this, and while it's down i'm just gon na kind of crunch out the curl a little bit guys, i think this is a. I don't know how it's okay, i feel like it looks bad in the camera. Damn it i feel, like it, looks bad in the camera. Like maybe i need a different angle. It'S not looking good in the camera, but i really like it in real life. I feel like it worked out and for once it feels clean. Sometimes, when i do the curly girl method, it feels like dirty and like full of product and really heavy, but this i actually think it looks good. Oh my gosh, i feel like i'm gon na, like go through this and be like it, because i've had breakage and my hair is so damaged this top layer. It'S like a mullet. My hair has broken off from here from putting it in a high bun. So i have like, like a mullet layer and then some straggly bits, so it actually looks better when i like, throw it over like that. I'M gon na insert a photo here on instagram from instagram that i took when my hair was like curly girl, and i liked it guys i've. I just feel like you're, not getting the full look. I think tomorrow, when i wake up and like have makeup on and have my outfit and like do my hair. What do you think about my hair? That was cool? I feel like it looks ugly in the camera, but like good in real life that looks cute. I'M the epitome of that person who looks like their dog okay well before i wrap this vlog up. I want to sleep with it, you're cheating on me you! What are you cheating on me really sleeping that took you a while i'm gon na put it up in my head like that and go to sleep. This is a very vain like narcissistic kind of vlog, just all about my hair, but, like honestly, this is what i've been binge watching: people with like brittle, fine, thin wispy hair, just trying to live their best life and trying to love their hair. Because, oh can i do something about mine there. I know you can try killing your method. We both have such thin hair. I don't know how fox has this thick glorious, curly locks, i'm gon na shut it off for tonight and i will reconvene tomorrow. Hopefully, if i'm having a good hair day, who knows same place different time, it's like over 24 hours later, so i did the curler go method. Last night, it's like 10 p.m. Tonight, the next night - and i actually slept with my hair in a clip like this, because i feel like it just like maintained the curls better like i said, because i don't have very much hair. It'S super fine. I didn't want to dent it too much with like a scrunchie or hair elastic, so i slept with a clip, and that was perfect. I woke up this morning and just kind of like judged the roots of my hair. Like i showed you last night and then i put a little bit of the coconut oil i'll put the brand here, whatever brand, that is on my hands and just kind of scrunch it into the ends of my hair, because the ends can often get kind of Frizzy and wispy, so i guess this is like the final product of like a full day in the life with the curly wavy hair method, and i went to church with this hairstyle, but a little bit more tidy. I feel like this is a little bit messy and i got so many compliments on it. I feel like i feel like when someone rocks up with a new hairstyle anyway you're going to compliment them, so i'm like. Do you actually like it or you're? Just being polite, i don't know, but, like i facetimed my mom and she really liked it, but, like that's not saying much, it's my mom she's, obviously gon na love it, but i i think i really like it like. I feel, like this part, looks like i've used one of those like mermaid wave things. The only part i don't like about it is not the curly girl method or like the wavy methods fault. It'S like my own fault, just because the bottoms of my hair are so thin. I'M not liking wearing it out at the moment, and i forgot to show you guys, but i'll put it here. This is the hair complex vitamin that i'm using that i mentioned before. It'S new, so i've only been having it for like a week, but i'm going gon na maintain that, and hopefully that will stimulate some more hair growth and just like better hair health, all around so yeah. If you are interested in my hair journey and have brittle fine dead, damaged hair like me and you're interested in how hopefully i'm going to make it healthier and more voluptuous, then definitely let me know leave a comment below and i can maintain these kind of vlogs And just like keep you guys in the loop with my hair journey, but if you did enjoy this video, please give it a thumbs up, give it a like, because it really supports my channel and make sure you subscribe, because i upload new videos every single week. I upload vlogs healthy tips, fitness routines, hair vlogs. Everything in between i'm actually really excited for my next video, but i'm gon na leave it a surprise, but you guys are going to love it. It'S like your favorite kind of video that i ever post. So i will see you in that video. I hope you enjoyed this one. I never know how to end it like. I always just like keep rambling, but i'm just love you from me and my twin abby say: bye, she's, not a vibe tonight, so i'm gon na say bye on her behalf. We love you see you in the next video you

Sarah Harper: Curly girl tip: The Aveda Curl Enhancer needs to be activated by rubbing it in your hands (it should be super white when you put it in your hair) and it also needs to be heat-set, so it’s a better product to use when you are planning to blow dry your hair with a diffuser(: You can scrunch it into the ends and then work it up towards your roots, but don’t put too much in since your hair is very fine. It can be a bit heavy, but it is great for soft curls!

Elisha Blott: Have you considered going all natural? Not dying your hair, no heat, but also giving it a hair cut. Shoulder length will look so good on you. Once your hair is damaged you can only mask the damage, you can’t improve your hair health unfortunately. Going all natural has worked for me :)

Yuval Biran: Fellow wavy here - contrary to what I used to believe, it’s ok to use a wide tooth comb or wet brush after getting out of the shower to separate the scalp area a little bit! Helps a ton and shouldn’t flatten out waves ☺️

Janelle Lyn: @Sarahs Day Hey Sarah, hope you are doing well. Just an FYI Maui Moisture owned by a Johnson & Johnson firm is currently facing a potential lawsuit for causing hair loss. Also, it contains Diazolidinyl Urea, which is another name for formaldehyde. This is reportedly a toxic carcinogen and it is believed to potentially cause cancer per a report from the Center for Environmental Health. I made the same mistake and tossed mine when I found out. These companies are wacky with the ingredients they use. Take care!

Lookin 4 That Grl: Sarah. It took 37 years for me to love my fine very curly hair. Now, I can’t imagine my life without my natural hair. Be patient with your journey. You’ll get there.

Nets: YES! I was hoping you’d go back to your “curly girl” routine. Your hair was . You always look fire but your hair was fuego

Katy Kidder: After having my baby last month my hair has been falling out like crazy, super dry, and breaking so easy! It's driving me NUTS... I cant wait to see more of your hair journey! ❤

TheMABAlife : I'm on the same hair journey as you. I just dyed my hair from black back to my natural color (blonde). And now I want to strengthen my hair and let it grow out. Hope you share more of your experiences ahead regarding getting your hair healthy and strong! Love your channel!

Krista Kaplan: Sarah!!!! I live for this video, your humor I’ve had a day already and this is what I needed. Thank you for being so free spirited and making your viewers laugh ❤️ Hi from SoCal ☀️

Gasel Marte: I’m here for this journey!!! Tip: You can divide your hair into 4 sections and add the products to each section. Another major tool that helps is a denman brush to help you evenly distribute the product. Then you scrunch and then diffuse with your hair brushed out. Your curls will pop more that way!

Whitney Carter: We have the SAME hair type!! Loved every second of this vlog, you are so stinking adorable!! Thanks for sharing - I've got so many ideas to deal with my fine, curly hair now!!

Andrea Kelly: Hey Sarah! I also have fine curls, I'm more of a 3c, but I just want to pop in to say that I've been down the rabbit hole and been through all the phases you're going through! Its a constant learning process. I just changed all my products from the Maui moisture (which i was obsessed with for a while) to the Real Raw coconut curls Shampoothie and conditioner and I love the change. The things that make the most difference for me is to plop right out of the shower (I use aquis hair wrap) and then put my products on after and NOT TOUCH IT until its 100% dry. It always looks terrible as its drying, but if I am patient enough it looks amazing once it's dry and i fluff it. There's a big transition phase at the beginning but your hair gets used to it and you'll get the hang of it. Good luck!

Kelly Johnson: I think youre doing a great job with the hair! I also have fine-medium hair and I find that using less product is better. I use about a quarter size amount of whatever product I'm using on my entire head. I also think getting a trim regularly every 6-8 weeks really helps my curls stay voluminous and healthy. Love that you've joined the curly girls!

Julia Gimenez: another tip: loose the elastic bands! use only scrunchies or clips. (i used only claw clips when i tried getting my hair healthy and it changed my life). elastic hair bands are gonna boost the chances of breakage so throw em away love you sarah <3

Ruby Lo Dico: Loved whatching you on your curl journey! I'm a curly girl myself and girl, none of us know what we're doing, all winging it here haha. Also, I think it would be so cool to see you do this curly hair routine on Foxy! I bet his hair would thrive of of it

Chloe Schnell: Curly girl here! You are just ADORABLE, loved this vid so much. Something that’s worked well for me lately is cutting it shorter. Freshly cut ends bounce up so much more than a long under layer. Keep it up and keep up these vids for sure!

Hogan Twins: Love this! We have curly thin hair as well and to avoid the top of your hair becoming stuck to your scalp make sure you loosen it all when you are actually in the shower and it’s soaking wet. And scrunch it all when you are still in the shower before you put product in because it gives you more volume on the top of your head We promise you it works We are using the best curly hair products and we have been through a shit load let us know if you would like to know

Roxanne Smith: I love your hair curly ❤️ I also had thin whispy hair just dead straight, but I had been colouring and heat treating it for so long I thought I was destined for a broken mullet for life. Stopped that all a couple of years ago, just wash and air dry, and my hair is now thicker (people even say thick!), long and shiny. I get sooo many compliments on my natural hair colour as well. I’ve gotten the hair I want- just by not doing anything to it.

Nets: A curly girl tip: use kinky curly custard for a gel. It is amazing. Also anything by olaplex is a godsend and will repair your hair.

Emily Ginger: Yessss I have the same “comfy” and I LOVE it! I’ve got to get one for my little bud! Also, it’s not available in Australia (yet ) but Monat will be amazing for your hair!! I’ve been using it for almost a year and it has BROUGHT MY CURLS TO LIFE On top of adding thickness & volume. Clean, plant based products too. It’s been a literal lifesaver. Scrunchies & silk pillow cases help keep your curls intact too!

Natalie A: Sarah, your cults awesome! if I can politely offer some tips: -Part your hair after showering and before product to get closer to your roots -Get your hair trimmed regularly to chop the damage -Avoid hair extensions as well to prevent breakage

Sarah Bentien: Your hair looks really good!!! And I bet that if you’re consistent with it, then you’ll get even more definition! Great job!

Lorna Gambarotto: Love your videos Sarah! I just wanted to recommend argan oil, aloe vera and coconut oil as hair masks before you wash your hair (either together or separate)! Also i would highly recommend putting castor oil on your scalp few hours before washing it as it stimulates hair growth! This has been working really well for me!

Eliza Blair: Don't give up girl! It's so worth taking care of your hair! I've done the curly girl method for 2 years now and I remember the days when my hair was fuzzy and frizzy like Hermonie. I can say now that my hair has drastically changed! It's wavy, not breaking off and so healthy! Since you are a CG newbie maybe try a leave in conditioner and gel or just one product. I like not your mother's curl talk line of products. Hopefully, this helps! God, bless!

Jennifer MacLaughlan: I have been watching Sarah's channel for like 6 years, and all her vids are hilarious, but this was NEXT level, hilarious. Not sure if it's because I have curly hair too? But I can totally relate ... struggle is real. Curly hair never looks the same twice. But SARAH I LOVE the final product - really cute (but still mature?). Seriously.

Kabuki: If you want it to grow: STOP BLEACHING BRAID IT (no tight buns) NO HEAT (including blow drying) This is what got my hair to waist length from brittle shoulder length hair

Carly Mongeau: I think it looks great! It’s that perfectly imperfect, tousled beach waves look. As a hairdresser though- you might want to consider chopping 1-2 inches off the length so if feels fuller until your breakage grows out. It won’t be as weighted down and will spring up a little better too - plus it’ll grow faster if you get some of the dead ends off. Love your content❤️

daisy mae: Fellow new curly girl here! To get the roots wavy, scrunch bent over. Also, Hairitage has a great scalp massage brush which is great for growth. Good luck girl!!

Sarah Louise Wellness: I just came back to CGM and this video was very timely! I also have a "mullet line" from wearing my hair up...high, stringy ends drag you down! I was trying to grow it out, but just accepted it needed to be cut and I'm rocking the bob while my hair heals. I've also bought a hair growth oil for the roots which I hope will help! When I'm in the shower, I separate the top layer, so I am always scrunching with my hair away from my scalp. That helps with volume, too!

vickicoral: Absolutely love this! I suffer with really thin fine hair too and I've never heard someone else describe their hair as rats tails - that's literally what I say can't wait to see how you keep getting on with it!

Josie vargas: Sarah I think your doing everything right. It’s now the waiting game really, since your hair is short and thin. Give it time and in combination with taking the supplements. You should do a before n after of this routine + supplements like 3 months. You look pretty as always ♥️

Claire284: This vlog made me smile! I'll admit, I had my doubts along the way but the end result was lovely! I have naturally wavy hair and although my hair is fine I'd say it's a "normal" thickness. So I understand the struggle to enhance your waves while fighting the frizz and generally just trying to make it all look halfways decent lol

Caiti Smith: Same issues with my super fine brittle hair following along too ❤️

Alexis Mallory: Your hair came out beautiful! And I have a curly girl tip: you can rake the product through all of your hair, that way your roots are also curled/waved. Or you can buy a denman/wet brush that will help clump your waves after you apply product, that way you dont have to worry about messing up its natural pattern when applying your products! And also get a satin bonnet or cap that way you dont have to crush it in a bun when you sleep

shaee_ butta_7.31: First of all, I love it second, the curls will only get better over time! It took me awhile to see the results I really wanted but once my hair adjusted to the curly routine, I was in loveee! I love watching these! And you, Sezzy vids are the best ❤️

Katie Crivello: I seriously needed a Sezzy vlog today! Thanks for being the best part of my day! ❤️

Jenni Curran: We have a very similar curl pattern but my hair is so extremely thick. I have to do some kind of half up or my hair will be in my face all day. It's crazy how similar but also different our hair is! I love the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie but I have to use a custard and gel with it too

Sophie O'Connor: Hey love your vids always so positive. I myself have curly hair, looking at ur chart for reference, probs a 3B. I’d say one of the best things for your ‘curly’ hair is keep it really SIMPLE. Honestly all I do is put in a kinky muk cream to get rid of the frizz. But you really dont need any crazy, elaborate or many products.

Bethany Hernandez: Keep going Sezzy! You’ve got this!!! Once you start seeing improvement you’re going to feel so encouraged. And you said it best. You’re paving your own way. What works for one person may not work for someone else. If you’re looking for volume in the roots perhaps try a volumizing moose that’s CG approved. Keep at it girl! I love how wavy hair looks on you!

Kelcie Bean: this was so fun to watch! I also believe I have 2B hair, but mine's suuuuuper thick and coarse so I have to use intense amounts of creams for moisture. Thank you for making this, I think a lot of your tips will help me too!

Paige S: Thanks for this video! My hair has become significantly more curly since having a baby so I needed some inspiration to embrace it! A few things I thought of while watching, 1. I think you can totally tossel your fingers through the roots when wet, I usually do it when I flip my head upside down. 2. Do you use a silk pillowcase? I hear they are amazing for breakage, 3. I agree with a few other comments about getting a trim. I find that thin hair looks thicker with a more blunt cut, so taking a few inches off the bottom to make it closer to one length and not adding any extra layers I think would really make a huge difference. Just some things to think about!!

Meg Schlesinger: coming in with some girly curl advice! Right after I get out of the shower while my hair is still dripping wet- I run my fingers from the roots to the tips a couple times in the direction I want my hair to lay (creating a part if wanted). After that, I apply the curl creams and leave in conditioners and scrunch. It works well to get your hair to lay the way you want & allows you to apply product closer to your roots evenly. (: This video is super cute too, made me smile <3

Sara Willis: Hey Sarah, my hair is very similar to yours, very thin and easily breaks. I reduce washing to twice a week and dry shampoo helps a lot! I use mousse instead of gel. And not using too much products that weigh it down!

Charlie Munch: Another tip: get a silk or satin bonnet to put on at night to preserve your curls

Sophie Harber: As a fellow curly girl, my biggest recommendation which completely changed the game up is to put curling cream and/or gel through your hair when it is sopping wet, brush the product through your hair as normal, then flip your hair and brush your hair against the grain and do your entire routine with your head upside down- it is a bit annoying BUT you will get more volume, the ‘plop’ will be easier and you will have better curls on the top of your head. My curls/waves as so much better for it xx

Kindred River: loved it! My hair is so similar really found this helpful and fun :) You're the best Sarah!

Simone Fera: I have very different hair (very thick and curly) but I'd recommend building a simple routine! stretch the days in between washes, and stick to a couple staple products. I found that the product buildup (even with natural products) was killing my curls. Keeping it simple has really helped my hair!

Roobs&Noobs: I had all this new growth come through about a year ago, and then all of my long hair started falling out in chunks. I guess it was a renewal period, but devastating. Anyway, to escape the inevitable mullet, I ended up cutting my boob length hair into a pixie cut, and it feels so much better!

sami sladek: I have to say I appreciate your positivity because I have similar hair to you and it’s a huge insecurity. So to see you love yourself and laugh about it is so amazing!

Inger Heimen: It looks good Sarah! Keep it going, finding your own curly hair routine and what works for you takes time. I have tried sooo many different things, but I’m so glad I kept going because now I have healthy curly hair. Best thing I did was definitely to STOP using heat. Now that my hair is healthy I don’t really need to use a lot of products. Good luck Sarah

Jodie Butcher: Stick with the hair journey Sarah! It does take time, and there will be good days and bad days, lots of trial and error, but the rewards come. xx

Noelle Curr: Hi Sarah! After I chemically damaged my hair it was about half the thickness of your hair. A few years later and my hair looks beautiful again and is maybe 10 times more thick and healthy! So i figured I would give you my tips... every Sunday I put castor oil all over my scalp and roots, and for the rest of my hair I get it wet with a spray bottle and do a hair mask, then I leave that all on for a few hours before washing my hair. Every Wednesday I do castor oil all over my scalp and roots, and i dampen the rest of my hair with a spray bottle and put Olaplex number 3 on, and leave it for a few hours before washing my hair. Everyones hair is different so what works for me might not work for you but I still figured I would share!

Reyna Perez: I love your natural hair!! It makes you look more like a mom love it

N A: Love your channel! Love the Sunee app! I’ve been really enjoying the recipes! Some hair tips: When your hair is wet like that before you style it brush detangling brush (like the denman brush for example). It’s also designed to be more gentle on hair. Brush from tip up always, it’s more gentle. Then finger comb your hair from the base of your skull gently and work your way up and slightly close your fingers when you pull your hands away to comb (to keep the strands together and to loosen the the hair at your scalp). You can flip your head over when you do this. Don’t be afraid to put product at the roots, you can also add a little once your hair is dry for a more defined look or better hold if you don’t want it on your scalp while you hair is wet. Give yourself massages before and after showers with your head bent down while you’re sitting to promote circulation. Like bent down with your head between your knees to bring the blood down to your head. Avoid buns and ponytails especially tight ones, it can lead to breakage and alopecia/thin spots. You can tie your hair up but not for too long or too tight. You can use satin or silk scrunchies and satin or silk pillow covers too (which is also good for your skin, especially if you can afford silk). It will really help with breakage. You can even sleep with a silk or sating scarf or a bonnet to protect your hair. Always condition your hair and use a conditioning hair mask at least once a week. You should also treat yourself to a good scalp mask. Sometimes you can even leave a little conditioner in your hair so it still feels a little slippy, especially at the ends. Lastly, sometimes less is more. 3b curl, I let it air dry then just give it a light shake once dry. My hair is very soft and silky and super defined. All I use now is the LUS curling cream and Joico mousse. See links below and even though your hair is wavy the YouTuber I linked below is amazing and has lots of great tips. I also recommend her flax seed gel recipe! So nice, with a few drops of orange essential oil! Joico Joiwhip 7 Joico Joiwhip Firm Hold Designing Foam, 10.2 Oz https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B000LSBZ9Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_VAW1QR4Q3D6XCDZ4YVPV https://lusbrands.com/collections/complete-curl-care-system-for-ultra-soft-luxurious-curls https://youtube.com/channel/UCsC5tS5evvI2w8BKM1Vqh3g

Joly Walters: Yes!!! I have wavy/curly hair and started my heatless curly journey in January. I recommend putting in a light oil just before you scrunch out the crunch to help with frizzyness. Manes by Mell is the best YouTuber for curly girl knowledge

Hayle Santella: I have the exact same hair and this was soooo helpful Sarah!! THANK YOU! ❤️

Grama Chelle: Fine thin curly girl here too! Manes by Mel ! Best YouTube videos I’ve watched for my curly journey. She has curlier hair but she has such great techniques that have helped my fine curly hair best advice she gave me was to comb my products through then scrunch to loosen my scalp area for more volume

Kadiya Ewers: Hairdresser here, you can scrunch your scalp with the towel slightly aswell! Helps so much. I wouldn’t use anything supermarket like the Schwarzkopf gel. Definitely going on the right track, also less is more with product hun it won’t go as oily if you use as much. With your hair you only need a 10cent piece size max :) I hope this helps, if you have any other questions I can help! If you want to try another product the “clever curl” brand is amazing for finer hair ❤️

Anne Verhoeven: I know it's very difficult but I recommend you to cut the bottom of your hair, that will really help. Your hair will look healthier and more full when the real damaged hair is gone. Just a tip! ☺

Katerina Martinez: Section your hair next time! It really really helps with even product distro (prevents seeing the different hair textures or damage and blends it a lot better) you got this mama!

SoFetch: I love that you’re embracing your waves! Another tip for you, you may no like to hear… people with baby fine hair usually have a very difficult time maintaining bleached hair. The bleach or lightener is very damaging for baby fine hair. It will actually make your hair fall limp and take away some of the natural wave. It also breaks the hair off . You probably have way more hair than you think if you would cut down a little on the lightener. I have baby fine hair too but I’m a 3b. Once I stopped the highlights and started wearing hair mask alternating between protein one week and moisture the next, I couldn’t believe how much more hair I had after cutting off the damage and letting it grow out. You are now on your wavy hair journey! Good luck to you!

Katy Hill: For us 2B girls with fine strands, I highly recommend no gel at all and just sticking with the creams and definers, but not too much as it'll weigh it down. Get a serum for after it's dry in case you need a little extra shine, but less is more. Also, what I do is when I get out and my hair is sopping wet, that's when shape my hair how I want it to settle, so I gently finger comb my hair down by my ears, separate my bangs, get it off my scalp and get my part how I want it. If that makes any sense. No need to be too scared to touch it a bit at first! And as it dries, I will flip my hair over and gently use my fingers to get my hair less flat on my scalp. My hair also acts weird the first few times I leave it curly in the summer months and then it figures out how to settle. It's all trial and error. Everyone's hair and texture are so different, you have to figure out what works best for you, and you will! :)

Yasmine Saidou: I replayed Fox saying "peace" like 15 times HE'S SO CUUUUTE!❤ also as a fellow curly girl I'm super excited for you on your curly journey (it is a journeyyy lol)

Ellen Osborne: Wide tooth comb or finger rake your hair away from your scalp super gently, then get your part or the top how you want, then scrunch upside down to encourage curl pattern at the root too! You’ve got this!! CGM is a good start but you’re definitely way better off trying different things because truly everyone’s hair likes something different.

Lilly Grace: Hey Sarah, I have fine curly hair and when I first started it was hard because my hair was so damaged. I found using a curl creme with a mousse very helpful and not heavy on my very fine hair. I’d just switch between gel and mousse and a curl creme and mousse ☺️

Julie Krogstad: Gorg!! Hot tip, French braid your hair before going to bed, it locks your hair in and will damage it way way less, even less if you have a silk slip for your pillow. This has made the biggest change to my hair which also is fine, wavy and frizzy, and I wake up with the best curls after taking the braids out.

Kim R: I love your curls! It’s so beautiful on you. I used to straighten my hair every day because I thought my curls were ugly. My hair was so fried in high school Now that I’m in my 20s, the curlier the better. I haven’t straightened my hair in SIX years nor will I ever again!

Dawson Lauzon: For my hair I wash and condition upside down! That way when you flip back upright it falls better off your scalp. I scrunch upside down, one side and the other side and upright! It helps create curls at the roots!!! I did a big chop which helped to get rid of my scraggly ends so it grows out more evenly and looks thicker! Also I scrunch my hair mask into my hair in the shower upside down and it helps form curl clumps???? It helps reduce my frizz and I get better actual curls rather than waves! Perhaps these could be useful for you! Would love to see faith based content from you!!!!!

Anna PJ: Sarah! I've been watching your videos since pre-pre Kurt and I can't believe I never realized/knew you had wavy hair! What a lovely look

Kay 1142: Omg watching Kurt and you with little Foxy is just the sweetest thing ever- non stop smiling watching those moments

Kelsey Mena: This was fun! Would love to follow your hair journey!

Simone Alexis Sowell: Curly girl tip!!! Try sectioning your hair in 4 sections so that you can really work on the top part of your hair. Also when your hair finishes drying seal it with oil and that will reduce frizz

Reagan Thomas: I think it looks really nice! However, even with the supplements, it will all grow fairly equally and the top won’t catch up with the bottom so the bottom layer will always be thinner and look broken due to the amount of hair. Would you consider going for the chop anc getting a really blunt bob or something? I think it would look amazing on you and would protect the underneath from breakage as it would have protection from the top layers being the same length and look much thicker xxx

Reese Ferguson: I think the wavy look is beautiful on you! ☺️

Ragan Kelley: You hair looks awesome curly!! So much more voluminous!

Lucy Statz: Loved this vlog!!! You look super cute with your natural hair!!

Karyn Snyder: I LOVE the innersense curl foam! It’s GREAT for thin hair! Super light weight and helps with frizz and gives really good structure! and they are really clean and it doesn’t have a strong smell!!

Peace Orji: Sadly, You cannot heal damaged hair. You can only cut it & grow it out.

Liv Jill: I used to love the Maui Haircare, but Function of Beauty is my favourite now. I love that I can customise it for my own hair needs. I found that Maui sometimes left tooooo much moisture in my hair ‍♀️

Britt Lazore: i'm here for your curly hair! i love your vlogs no matter what u do lol

Cindo Xo: as someone who also has fine, dry ( bleached/ colored) hair, I'm excited to see how this goes!! I am also trying to restore my hair to health lol :)

Joeli & Rachel Qiolevu: I love your hair curly/wavy! You're rocking it. Try wide tooth combing your hair first then flip your hair forward and scrunch it like you were doing with the product in. And twist the curls were you want them to lay with the gel and let dry. X

Madison Fahlman-Katler: When you brush your hair try to pull it away from your scalp so it doesn’t look slicked back and then scrunch then it will be easier. My hair is super curly so that’s how I’ve been doing that to keep my curls not frizzy. Hopefully that helps the beginning part! ❤️

littlemissrapunzel: Love how your hair turned out!! It looks so good in the clip and suits you so well!

Shannon Lee: You are so amazing! seriously my new favourite youtuber! I have fine hair myself and have struggled so much feeling confident with it, this video helped me! You are such a bright light and I love all your content!! God bless you girl! xx

Jessica Walker: Getting a little trim of the thinner ends may help it bounce up! Does everytime for me when I loose my wave

Monica C: I agree with other comments that it’s ok to use a wide tooth comb or your fingers to get the hair away from your scalp. Also the Denman brush is amazing!!! It will help separate, define and encourage curls. Manes by Mel is an awesome channel that has helped me with my curly hair method. And Fox when Kurt asked if he needed a hand, I died!! Adorable

Lynn Hepple: Looks so pretty I want to try this, thanks for the tutorial Oodies look rad, Foxy giving off Dumbledore vibes is so cute!!!

margaritak: Omg this is perfect! My sister always walks around with a blanket over herself! Love you Sarah

Vanessa S: your curly hair looks beautiful on you ❤️

Maria Alvarez: Cute! I think the steps your taking are going to make a big difference in due time. One tip, try flipping your head upside down and then scrunching with the gel/cream/whatever. Also, for me switch to a shower filter has made my hair silky smooth so that may be something worth trying if you aren’t already!

Maria Luisa Restrepo: Curly girl here! try sealing in the moisture with the cold water like you did but with your head up side down. That way it wont stick to your head as much

Sydney Pommerening: I always have YouTube on in the background when I shower so I attempt curly today and I love it! I’ve been on a journey to not put any heat on my hair so I think I’m gonna be trying this for awhile. I definitely need to get some products tho!

Kavya .k: Seeing you have straight hair from your initial videos, Curly hair looks soo cute and refreshing on you sarah!

Tiffany: I have very similar hair to yours ✨ I’d recommend parting your hair how you want it to dry in the shower with a wide tooth comb, maybe a middle part and that way you can flip it once it’s dried. Touch your hair as least as possible once out of the shower after you’ve applied a leave in conditioner and flexible gel- the more I touch and disturb the curls the frizzy they end up ☹️ Also a diffuser makes for perfect curls upside down

K LORRAYNE: Though not ideal, surely...a generous chop of the “rat tails” may be advantageous for you to get a more cohesive wave pattern. Not saying you’d have to go all the way to your breakage length just to make the lessen the length difference. I find with thinner, finer hair thrives in midi to shorter length especially with a wave or curl. Best of luck!

crystltwilight: Yes please continue to post updates on your hair! I literally have the exact same hair as you to a T, even the mullet! I started a new hair care routine recently. I've been putting fermented rice water(soak rice wnd orange rind in water for 24hours,blend and strain) on it a couple hours before washing. I do this on water only wash days. On wash days I apply a hair growth oil(massage for about 5 min) for a couple hours before washing. I've seen a lot of new growth on my hairline since using the rice water. I'm still waiting to see some results with the oil to see how much it grows with that. I take a hair nails and skin supplement and I've been trying to eat more protein and fat cause thats supposed to be really good for your hair!

scathachar: Sarah I healed my hair in 3 years. It takes a LOT of time. I stopped using products with silicones, parabens,.. and the weaning time was not cute. At the same time I started with a DIY protein mask which helped my hair to grow strong. I hope you get your dream hair as soon as possible <3 The protein mask: 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp honey 1 tbsp oil (I use castor oil or argan oil) Mix it together and apply it over a sink, from the roots to the ends. Leave it for 1h at least (best would be 2h) and shampoo twice. We love you (and Fox) ^^

Emily Doyel: I’ve found that gently shaking my hair upside down helps keep my hair off my scalp and helps the roots curl a bit more!

Lena H: My hair is EXACTLY the same as yours. Except I have brown hair and don't dye it but please keep doing these - more tips, and I wanna see your journey :):) xx
