Hey loveies welcome welcome back to my channel, I'm coming to you today with some flat ironing tips for your relaxed hair um, but before I even get started, I just want to say welcome. Welcome welcome to all of you that are new here. This channel is geared towards relaxed hair care and Kids Hair Care. So if that's something you're interested in, I ask that you go ahead and subscribe. I ask that you turn your notification Bell. So, every time I post videos you'll be notified and at the end of this video, if you found the tips that I'm giving you helpful and useful, I ask that you give the video a thumbs up. Okay, so without further Ado, let's just jump straight into this video okay tip number one when you're flat ironing your hair make sure you're flat ironing your hair on either blown out hair or air dry hair. You definitely don't want your hair to be wet when you're flat ironing your hair, because what this can do is cause heat damage. Okay, you have to remember when your hair is wet, it's in its most vulnerable and most fragile state, all right and flat. Irons have the ability to actually heat up very quickly when you're flat ironing on wet that's. Why? Sometimes, when you see people flat iron, their hair, when it's wet, you start seeing all this smoke and stuff like that, the flat iron can really heat up to these scorching temperatures that can really break your hair dry. Your hair out cause your hair to be damaged and actually burn your hair and, of course, you have heat damage. Okay, so always flat iron, your hair, when it's either blown up or when it's air dry, okay, tip number two is make sure you always use a heat protectant. Now I have two different heat protectors that I really like to use on my hair, and I have it here which you can check out in my product review video I'm going to leave it linked up above. But I swear by this one, and this is the Tresemme professionals. This is their Heat team and protector and it protects you against heat damage. It'S a leave-in spray. Okay, and you can just pick this up on Amazon. You can pick it up from Walmart Beauty Supply anywhere where they have hair care products. I'M Gon na Leave a link down below to Amazon. If you don't want to go to the store, you can just click. The link it'll send you straight to it um, but this is a good heat protectant. This one is one that I also just recently bought it's new. I use this on my head this time around, because I flat ironed my hair and, as you can see, I still have my asymmetric cut in which I'm actually feeling now that it's growing out. But I still want to give me that even cut I'm gon na go to the salon soon um yeah, but this is a African Pride black, castor Miracle growth protection. This is their heat, protectant spray. You see that and if I have um, if I could find a link to this, I'm gon na link it down below too. But you want to make sure you use a heat protectant on your hair because it's going to create a barrier on your hair to protect your hair from the heat. Okay, so heat protectors are always good to use, and you want to spray that on this section, as you part it and then you'll go ahead and you'll flat iron, so tip number three tip number three: is you want to make sure your flat iron is always On 375., never go above 375.. Now the rule of thumb is you want to either make sure it's between 250 and 375.. If you have thin hair make sure your flat iron is on a lower setting, and if you have more thick coarse hair, you want to make sure it's at 375 or a little below 375, but never above that. Okay, okay, now tip number four tip number four. Is you want to make sure you do one to two passes? I don't think you need anything more than that. I usually part my hair in thin sections just so I won't have to do three and four five passes: okay, um. You want to go ahead and you want to watch your hand, sections and you want to just slowly and gently slide your flat iron down your hair from the roots all the way to the end, and if you notice, that is not as straight as you want. It to be, then you can go ahead and you start at your root. Clamp your hair slide it down slowly, all the way until you get to the end, okay and I'm pretty sure everybody knows how to flat iron their hair. If you don't know how it's easy just go to YouTube and how to fly on your hair, you'll find some videos on that. But that's what I did when I was flat ironing my hair out, because my birthday just passed and I wanted to do a flat iron look. So that's all! I did one to two passes, quick, fast, easy get it in get it out and that's it. Okay. So always make sure you just do that one to two pass and get your history, don't don't overdo it. Okay, tip number five tip number five is: if you have thin or fine hair, you want to reach for a ceramic flat iron, and if you have thick or more coarse hair, you want to reach for a titanium flat iron Titanium flat. Irons is more suitable for caustic, hair and of ceramic flat. Iron is more suitable for fine. Then you know more delicate, fragile, hair, okay and reason being is because ceramic flat irons tend to heat up from the inside out and titanium flat. Irons, heat up from the outside in okay and usually when you're relaxed your hair needs to be moisturized right, so the ceramic flat iron tends to work better for our hair. It will cause us to not have as much heat damage as a titanium flat iron would. Okay, so if you have fine, hair or thin hair or chemically treated hair, the ceramic flat iron is going to be best for you, and a titanium flying will be best for someone that has more thicker coarser, hair. Okay and you want to go ahead and do your research on that and stuff like that, but that's what I know to be true: okay, so that's it for the tips. I hope that these tips was helpful to you. I hope that you're able to at least use one or two of them and apply it to your hair care. Yes, so that's the end of this video, I want to say thank you so much for watching, go ahead and subscribe, like I had mentioned in the beginning of the video, and until we meet again be blessed - and I love you with the love of Christ. Bye
